I wipe the tears from my face and walk to the kitchen where Chance and Sierra are at. They both turn and look at me as I enter the room.
“We need to make an appointment to see the doctor and make sure this is not a false positive before we get all hopeful.” My words come out soft.
“Sapphire, I know you are shocked however this is the second most wonderful moment of my life. First, was the day you walked into my life and I know we haven’t discussed this really but I would love to have children with you.” Chance assures me.
“I want nothing more than to have children with you too honey. I just want to be one-hundred percent positive before you hire a sky writer.” I smile.
“Deal, but once the results are in I will hire a plane and the world will know.” Chance jokes back and he gives me a wink.
Sierra wraps me in her arms and tells me she can’t wait to get the good news. She waves to Chance and grabs her things before leaving. Chance and I are finally alone in what feels like an eternity and I grab his hand and lead him to the living room. I lean back against his chest and find my comfort zone, finally being able to breathe. In all the pain of the past I know that in this man’s arms I will always be loved and happy.
