Chapter 7

Her gaze told him so much that his heart ached. In one simple look she told him everything he needed to know. It was a look that said “Be gentle, I’m fragile,” and he planned to handle her with the utmost care.

Her fingers raked through his shaggy chestnut hair before pulling him back in for another kiss. She would be his undoing and he couldn’t even find it within him to be upset about it. If this was how he was going to go down, then he could live with that.

Sera grabbed a handful of his t-shirt and tugged him toward her bedroom. Psy looked back towards the door, feeling like he shouldn’t abandon his post, but he took one more look back to the seductive angel tugging at him and knew he couldn’t say no.

He followed her lead into the cozy little room, her bed was still unmade, but the room was tidy enough. Not that he cared at all about her cleaning habits at that moment.

Once she had him in her bedroom, she lifted his shirt over his head and trailed her delicate fingers down his rock hard chest and abdomen. She traced the outlines of his muscles and the soft feather-light touches drove Psy wild and made him painfully hard. He couldn’t stand it. There was something about this woman that was intoxicating, but she seemed to be in the same daze as he was.

His hands settled on her waist and his fingers played under the hem of her shirt, dragging it up slowly as he agonizingly exposed each inch of her skin. Her breath came in short little gasps. His fingers drew lazy circles over her heated flesh and he tried to draw out the undressing process for as long as he could manage, but his resolve was waning. He needed her and he needed her now.

She needed him, too. Sera didn’t know what came over her, but something about this man made her hormones run wild and she couldn’t keep her hands off of him. She rained kissed over his tightly corded muscles, trailing all the way down his body until she reached the thin trail of hair that led into his jeans.

He pulled her shirt over her head and sucked in a breath, appreciative of her curvy little body. She tried to not be embarrassed of being so exposed. She fought the urge to cover herself and instead, took the initiative to remove her bra. It fell to the floor, but neither one of them had a chance to witness that.

The moment the scrap of fabric fell from her body, Psy had her on the bed. His mouth made a hasty path from her neck down over her collar bone, placing a quick kiss on her neck, before laving her breasts with his attention. He took one of her supple mounds in each hand and used his thumbs to tease her sensitive nipples. Psy kissed his way from one breast to the other, pausing long enough to wrap his tongue around her nipples with each pass.

He sucked the tightened peak into his mouth and reveled in her plaintive moans. She was so responsive, so sweet, he could hardly stand it.

His fingertips ran down her sides and met at the button to her pants. He was so anxious to see all of her. He hungered for it, craved it. She was a siren beckoning him into the deep waters; he wasn’t sure that he’d ever be able to escape her pull to resurface, but if he was going to drown, he was going to fucking enjoy it.

Her pants were gone in the blink of an eye. His followed suit. She eyed his impressive erection with appreciation and reached out to touch him.

“Oh god, Sera,” he groaned, bucking into her hand. Her silken fingers sent electric shocks all the way through him to his toes.

He took her example and ran his hands up her creamy thighs until they met at her womanhood. He traced a finger along her already wet slit and she arched her back off of the bed to meet him.

“Mmm,” she moaned, unable to come up with anything more eloquent.

Her blood was on fire, her skin able to register the tiniest touch or even his breath on her. She couldn’t believe how easily her entire brain was flooded with one thought: she needed him.

As his fingers entered her, stars burst in front of Sera’s eyes and an overwhelming pleasure laced through her. She wrapped her legs around him and pulled him closer to her glistening sex. Her hand stroked him with the same pace that his fingers stroked her. They were in sync in a way she never knew possible.

Each movement sent a new wave of ecstasy through her and seeing her writhing in agonizing pleasure only made Psy hotter. She squirmed and whimpered under his persistent touches. She felt her pleasure building. Higher and higher he pushed her. She didn’t know if she could handle it. It had been so long and the sensations were so intense.

He was gentle, though. He took his time, raising her up slowly, backing off when it seemed like it was too much, and pushing her past limits she didn’t even know she could exceed.

She clenched around his fingers, drawing him in further. She’d never been so needy in her life. Her skin tingled with the growing tide inside of her. She forgot to move; she forgot to breathe; she couldn’t think of anything but his incredible fingers and the extraordinary feelings they created deep inside of her.

He bent down to tongue her clit. Her salty feminine taste invaded his senses and sent all of the blood rushing straight to his groin. He watched her come apart under him. With soft needy moans, hands reaching out for anything to grab a hold of and a look of pure bliss on her face. Her cheeks adopted the most attractive shade of pink as he drew out her orgasm and he watched her eyes roll back in her head with a satisfied male pride.

Now that he’d accomplished his original mission, he had to have her more than ever.

Sera let the surge flow through her. There was no resisting it. Her body needed it and her heart wanted it. Psy’s touch healed her, made her whole again and even more; he made her better.

He withdrew his fingers and she instantly felt his absence. They each removed their final scraps of clothing without an ounce of shame between them.

Sera couldn’t help but admire his body from head to toe. Psy wanted to take the time to drink in the image of Sera laying ravished on her bed, naked, flushed, open to him. He just didn’t have the patience any more.

He grabbed her by the hips and pulled her to the edge of the bed. With her legs around his waist, Sera pulled him closer until he was positioned at her entrance.

He brushed a piece of her hair out of her face tenderly, almost lovingly. She knew that couldn’t be it, but she couldn’t shake the idea as he pressed into her. Slowly. So slow that it was torturous. Inch by inch he sank in. Her muscled contracted and finally relaxed around him, adjusting to his remarkable girth.

She’d never felt so connected to someone before. She never knew it was possible to feel this amazing. He filled her to the hilt and she held him there for a moment. Her sex quivered. Overwhelming sensations rushed through her body, bringing her back to the brink.

“Oh god, Psy,” she moaned, grasping at the bedsheets, looking for purchase anywhere she could find it.

“Shhh, I’ve got you baby,” he soothed, withdrawing from her just as slowly as he’d entered. It was the most wonderful kind of torture. As much as he wanted to just fuck her brains out, he knew that she deserved a gentler touch. She deserved a thoughtful and generous lover.

His hand roved her hips, keeping her steady on his hard length. Her mind was reeling with the overload of pleasure signals. He began to increase his pace, drawing her closer, filling her more with every thrust.

She clawed at his forearms as her rapture built within her. Everything else in the world fell away except for the two of them and the place where their bodies joined as one.

Her hands fell away and he grabbed hold of them, interlacing their fingers together as he drove into her over and over again. She felt like she was adrift at sea and Psy was the one that could bring her home.

He was relentless. Sera knew she couldn’t hold on much longer, but she wanted this to last as long as possible.

Their joined hands squeezed each other as they both neared the edge.

“Oh, god,” she moaned. Whatever else she was going to say never made it out of her mouth as Psy bent down to capture her cries of ecstasy with his lips. His hips propelled him forward one, two, three more times until they were both shattering together.

For a long moment, she held him there, refusing to let him loose from her grasp. Finally, her muscles gave out and he pulled away from her before collapsing next to her. She curled up against his chest, one finger lazily toying with the soft hairs on his chest. She had never experienced anything as incredible and mind-blowing as what they’d just done together. She knew she should feel bad for jumping into bed with a strange man after only really knowing him for a day or so, but it had been so amazing she couldn’t find it within her to regret it.

Maybe they had moved too quickly, but that didn’t change the fact that he gave her the most amazing sexual experience of her life. There was no way to feel bad about that, especially not when endorphins were still racing through her blood stream. At the moment, it seemed like there wasn’t a care in the world. Nothing could ruin this perfect moment.

For the first time in what felt like forever, she was able to fall asleep peacefully, listening to his steady breathing.

Chapter 8

Psy didn’t know quite what to think about whatever had just happened. He never expected things to go this way. He never expected to get so tangled up with this woman, but now that he was ensnared, he didn’t think he would ever be able to escape her. He wasn’t even sure he really wanted to.

There was something about her… something that drew him in and refused to let him go. He couldn’t stop thinking about how gorgeous she looked lost to her orgasm. He couldn’t get the image of her naked and open beneath him out of his mind. There was no way that he could ever tire of her. There was no way he could ever get enough of her. No way that he was going to be able to just walk away from her now. That was trouble.

This wasn’t supposed to happen, but now that it had, it was something he was going to have to deal with.

He slipped out from under Sera as quietly as he could. He suspected she could use the sleep and there was no way he’d be able to sleep knowing he should be guarding her from her ex. As much as he hated the bastard, he was oddly grateful in a way that he’d brought them together. He resumed his post at the window and watched the night turn to dawn without Sera ever budging.

She awoke the next morning to a cold empty bed just as she did every morning. For some reason, this morning it cause a frown to form on her face. Then the events of the previous night started to come back to her. That woke her up better than any alarm clock ever could.

A liquid warmth spread through her limbs at the memories and finally settled in her womb, reminding her of all the amazing things that Psy had done to her. She so hoped that this wasn’t just a fling, even though she fully expected it to be. She wanted to believe that whatever that connection she had felt was, that he felt it to. That wasn’t ordinary sex.

Sera’s life had been full of ordinary and unfulfilling sex. Being with Psy was nothing like that. Even as her body was sore and relaxed, she could feel it responding to thoughts of him. She was insatiable. She wanted all of him all of the time and it frightened her more than any violent ex-boyfriend.

She crawled out of bed and hopped straight into the shower without looking for Psy. She knew she must look like a disaster and didn’t really want to greet him that way.

She wondered what he would be like today. He’d been so tender and gentle with her yesterday, but that was all before… Now, would he be different?

She knew she had to go to work today. There was no avoiding it. She was already losing the store, there was no reason to expedite the process. She still clung to it, even though she knew it was futile to try to save it.

She stepped out of the steamy shower and set to work on combing her hair and trying to make herself look presentable. The giant bruise on her face was even darker today and she scowled at her reflection. She was so through with putting up with Greg’s bullshit.

Part of her had actually believed the horribly abusive things he said to her. She really thought she’d never be able to find someone else. She believed him when he said no one would ever be attracted to her. She thought he was right when he said that she was just a stuck-up bitch. But now, it was so clear to her that those things were all said to manipulate her. They were designed to keep her down, to keep her feeling reliant on him.

Well, no more. Maybe it shouldn’t have taken another man coming into her life for her to realize how full of shit Greg was, but now that she’d made the realization, there was no going back. This was going to end once and for all.

She left the bathroom, still towel-drying her hair in search of him.

“Good morning beautiful,” Psy gave her a breath-taking smile and her heart melted into a puddle.

“Good morning,” she replied with a grin of her own.

“Did you get any sleep at all?” She asked, noticing the dark shadow of a day’s worth of beard growth and the circles under his eyes.

“I’m fine,” he answered without really answering her at all.

“That’s not what I asked,” she teased.

He ran his hand through her damp hair,, tucking it behind her ear before wrapping his hand around the back of her neck and pulling her in for a kiss, all in one fluid motion.

She lost her train of thought the moment his lips touched her. She always thought that the old cliches of feeling sparks and seeing fireworks were just exaggerations. Of all of her relationships, not one of them ever cam close to giving her the butterflies and excitement that a simple kiss from Psy did. It baffled her and scared her a little. She didn’t know how to react to all these intense feelings.

Instead of trying to think about everything, she just let herself enjoy the kiss for what it was. There was no reason to put any more weight behind it or to try to make it out to be anything more than it was. It was nice and she didn’t need to complicate things by over thinking them.

He finally pulled back and her fingers flew to her lips, touching them gingerly, hoping to burn that feeling into her memory. She didn’t know how long she would actually have with him and she wanted to savor every moment she did have. She wanted to make sure that on lonely nights when doubts started to creep back in, that she could rely on the memories of his kisses and his incredible body to get her through.

“You don’t need to worry about me, sweetheart.”

“If you say so…” she replied, unconvinced.

“I do. How do you take your coffee?”

She’d been so wrapped up in Psy that she didn’t even notice the pot of coffee he brewed or the rich aroma wafting through the house. She inhaled deeply and sighed with a little smile.

“Just cream,” she answered as he poured her a mug.

“Well, it’s been really quiet around here,” he mentioned.

“That’s good though. Maybe he decided I’m not worth the trouble.”

“Impossible,” Psy answered, wondering how anyone could ever treat this beautiful creature poorly. He still wanted to smash the bastard’s face in, for more reasons than one. He wondered if it were possible to hit someone so hard that they forgot things. He would like to beat the memories of Sera right out of the bastards head. No one deserved her if they couldn’t treat her well.

He noticed the shy way she looked into his coffee, not acknowledging his comment, but it obviously pleased her.

“Well, I definitely have to go to work today.”

He frowned.

“Doesn’t he know where you work?”

“Well,” she paused, “yeah, but I can’t just let him keep me from living my life, you know? It’s my store, if I’m not there it’s not making money.”

Psy sighed, realizing from her tone that there would be no arguing the matter with her. Despite the very real threat her ex-boyfriend posed, she was hell-bent on doing what she wanted, no matter the danger it put her in. It was infuriating to him.

“I’ll come with you then.”

It was her turn to frown.

“Don’t you have things you’re supposed to be doing?” She didn’t want to come right out and ask him what his job was or anything. It seemed a little rude when he hadn’t offered up the information.

“All I’m supposed to be doing is watching out for you,” he answered, sipping his coffee.

“Well… I’ll be okay at the store. I’m sure he won’t bother me there.”

Psy didn’t like that she was trying to keep him shut out. He thought that they were on the same page with everything. He didn’t like the idea of her being on her own. He didn’t think he’d be able to just stop caring, but he had to respect her wishes.

“Okay, I do have a few errands I can run. You call me if you need anything, okay?”

She nodded, taking her first big gulp of coffee with a contented sigh.

“I’ll be fine,” she reassured him.
