“Come on, come for me. Come on my cock and scream my name.” Tears blurred her
eyes,
and the feeling was more than even her advanced thinking could comprehend. And just like that, she screamed his name, her head thrown back as he pounded faster than before, moaning into her neck and
emptying
himself deep inside her pussy. Her body was shaking. He pulled out of
her,
but didn’t lose eye contact with her. He was about to say

Pounding on the door made her jump.

“Faith, need you out here now!”

Michael snapped her out of her erotic dream. She pulled her fingers out of her pussy before rinsing her body once again and turning off the water. Jumping out of the shower, she dried and pulled on some clothes that were left for her. Jeans and a top that was too small. Great. Unable to do anything about it now, she walked out with her hair wrapped in a towel.

“What’s going on?”

“We have a small problem.”

“What’s that?”

“Here, it’s the news.” Clicking on the small TV, she watched as the news reporter started to speak.

“Reports are in that a body of a woman was found after being what is described as tortured. The woman has yet to be identified due to the mutilation that was done. The police are looking for any information that could lead to identifying the woman and her killer. The woman is described as a blonde in her late twenties. She was found in a pair of jeans and a blue t-shirt. Her body had been thrown into the
Potomac,
but washed ashore. The police have also found a backpack with her computer and some spare clothes. No other identification was found. Again the police ask that if you know something, or someone, please come forward.” She finished by saying her name and news station.

“Okay, that’s bad, so?”

“Faith, it sounds like you. I think they might have thought it was you, but it wasn’t. I have someone looking into it, but I think they messed up. If they did this, who knows what
else
they’re capable of.” Suddenly she remembered that Razor always watched the news. He would think it was her. She had to tell Michael.

“I have something to tell you, and I need your help getting a message to someone for me.”

“Name it, and it’s done.” Taking a deep breath, she told him about Razor.

Chapter Twelve

No, it can’t be.
Razor watched as the screen described a woman who was identical to Faith. He couldn’t be positive about the shirt, but the rest? It was her to a T. Fuck, Johnny would kill him if he were still alive. What did he do now? Did he go about his day like nothing happened? No one would claim Faith's body. She deserved to have someone claim her. He knew her and she died, he thought, and no one else knew about her. She didn’t talk about her family much but then
again; he
didn’t really ask. He looked around the room at everyone and felt sick. They all looked at him blankly as if weighing what they were going to say.

“It doesn’t mean it was her, Razor,” Sparkle said reassuringly. A cup was passed to
him, and when he looked to the person holding the cup in front of him, Mary Jane spoke.

“She’s a tough chick,
man. She
would find a way to avoid them. Seriously, I think she’s good.”

“Mate, Faith is one foxy lady who knows how to go unseen. We’ll keep looking for her.”
Tex went to say something, but he couldn’t handle anymore.

“You don’t fucking get it, do you? Let me spell it out for all of you. She is fucking dead. Who knows what the hell they did to her before they finally killed her. She was this little girl who couldn't even remember to eat food when she had to, she had to keep things organized and clean, she ate fucking food from a can and had spaghetti sauce on her face when she slept. She couldn’t do things like a normal person would, she was special, seriously amazing, and she loved my brother. But she needed someone to watch her. That was me, all fucking me, and I fucked up. I wasn’t cut out to be a damn babysitter, and my brother, who they fucking killed too, wanted me to keep her safe. Me of all people, who has no training or book smarts. I couldn’t even do that for him or her. I fucked up damn it. Stupid fucking mother fucking cocksuckers killed her, and did god knows what in the process. I will find each and every one of them, and when I do, I will gut them and feed their entrails to the crows, then string them up and let the wolves eat them after I remove all their goddamn skin. They will pay for killing her; for killing Johnny. I won’t
fucking
sleep until they are all dead and their lives weren’t lost for nothing.” He downed the drink before slamming the glass down on the counter.

It was seconds before someone refilled it again. Before he knew it, he was four cups of whiskey
down,
and he felt nothing. A numbness took over. He’d gotten her killed was the last thought before he fell face first into the pillow that smelled sweet like her. God, he missed her. He’d royally fucked up this time.

*****

People were yelling,
and his head felt like a rock had smashed into it at a hundred miles an hour. What the hell was going on? This had been one fucked up week. Shit, Faith.

It all came flooding back to him. He closed his eyes and prayed it was one messed up
dream
. Shit, he’d only known the girl for like three-four days. Not even a damn week, yet he didn’t want to admit he felt something for her. She pissed him off and didn’t listen worth a damn. Yet, she did something to him.

“Razor, um, I think you should come on out here.” Sparkle poked her head in the door. More noise could be heard. Mary Jane was yelling something at someone. Other voices
sounded he didn't recognize. Who the fuck was in his apartment? Making sure he had clothes still on, he walked out of the door. Standing there were three men in leather, and he knew two out of the three. The two he knew were part of the Hellhound MC. He did tattoos for them.

“Hey, Razor, sorry to barge in here like this, but we need to talk to you.”

“Dude, look, now’s not the time. We are in the middle of something. If you need work done, come into the shop and I can take care of you.”

“Listen,
you piece of shit, I got some information for you, and it would be wise to shut the fuck up. Got it?”

“Who the hell are you to talk to me like that? You’re the dipshit who came into my apartment uninvited and started yelling. So what the fuck do you want?” he growled through gritted teeth. He knew the reputation of the club, but he didn’t care at the moment.

“Look, I promised Faith I would let you know what’s going on, but it seems she had the wrong impression about you, so we are going to bounce.”

“You know Faith?”

“I do, and I know her better than you; if you know what I mean.”

“You seeing her or something? She said she wasn’t dating anyone. Look, I hate to tell you this, but it seems they found a body in the Potomac and it might
be-'

“It’s not. That’s the only reason I’m here. Not that it’s any business of yours, but Faith is my sister. She doesn’t like to advertise that, though. But we got her somewhere safe. She was worried about you.”

“She’s alive. Thank God.” Suddenly it felt like he could breathe again, and his once pounding head didn’t hurt as much. She was alive.

“Yeah, she came to me and asked for help. She’s worried about you. Said people are after
her,
and now they know about you. She came up with a plan, and I agree it would be best too. You need to come to the safe house and watch her there while we hunt the bastards after her.”

“And why would I do that? She ran without telling me anything.”

“Did you ever stop and think about why she did it? Don’t question her. She’s smarter than
every one
of us in this damn room—put together. If she left, it was for a pretty damn good reason. Now are you coming or not?”

“Fine, I’ll come.” He went to talk to Sparkle, but she had her eyes glued to Faith's brother.

“You’re Michael Hillman?
Damn,
you look nothing like your picture. They said you have been off the grid that’s why I couldn’t find you.”

“Sugar, it's Merlin,” he corrected her while Razor looked around for a duffle bag to throw some shit in.

“Merlin?”

“Yeah, I’ve been known to do a little magic and disappear along with some things and people, if you catch my drift.” Razor needed coffee to help with his slightly hungover state, but now he would see Faith
again,
and she wasn’t dead. That woke him up more than he expected. After he packed, he just needed to look at
Sparkle,
and she knew what he was asking without him even saying anything.

“We got everything covered. If anyone shows up at the shop, I’ll say you took off. That way I’m not lying. But do I call you if they do?” Before he could say anything Merlin spoke.

“Nah, you give me a call. We’ll take care of this shit. See
y’all
later. And don’t be strangers around the club.” Razor watched Sparkle, for the first time ever, blush, before he walked outside and waited. He threw his shit on the back of his bike and waited while the others came out.

“Follow us.” That was the only warning he
got
before they took off down the road. Shit, what did he get himself into this time?

*****

Faith couldn’t just sit still and do nothing. Since the kitchen was stocked full of
food,
she should try to cook something. Michael said he would let Razor know what’s going on and then he would stop by. She didn’t know how to cook much, but she found all the ingredients to make some fried chicken and macaroni and cheese. It was something she would cook them all when she was home. She knew other things too, but this sounded really good. Instantly she started breading the chicken to get them into the fridge to rest while she worked on the other.

Before she realized it, she was singing to herself when she heard the sound of bikes pulling in. Her heart started to race. What if it wasn’t them? What if it was someone else? Lost in her own thoughts, she dropped the chicken into the pan a little too fast and it splashed up on her, making her cry out.

Suddenly the door flew open,
and several things happened all at once. Razor was in the cabin running to her, as was Michael. But both started to yell at each other as both wanted to help. She finally had to put her fingers in her mouth and give a loud whistle. Something she had only ever done at ball games. Both men instantly went silent while Skull chuckled.

Michael smiled at her, while Razor looked on in disbelief. “I’m fine. It’s just a small burn. If one of you can get me some cream and a wrap, I’m good. Lunch is almost done.” Michael kissed her head before turning and leaving. Skull and another guy she couldn't remember sat down on the couch.

“Why are you here?” she whispered to Razor.

“I should be asking you that, kitten. I’m so fucking pissed at
you
but thank God; you’re alive. You should have told me.”

“You didn’t really want me around,
and then they came to your apartment and then —” She was cut off when Michael came in handing her the cream. She could tell he wanted to do it, but he left it alone. Before she could even get the cap off, Razor was there. He took the cream from her and gently applied it to her burnt skin. He looked at her for a long moment before leaving her side. He went to the stove and flipped the chicken, which made her smile, then came back over to her.

“It’s not too bad, but I bet it stings. This should help.” He wrapped it lightly before planting one of the sweetest kisses on it. Lost in their own little moment, she forgot others were there when Skull spoke up.

“Got anything to drink?” Shit, she shook her head and went back to finishing lunch. The mac and cheese
had already been pulled out of the oven,
and the last of the chicken was on a paper towel cooling. Pulling out some plates, she set them down.

“Okay, lunch is ready.” And like birds at a park, they pounced at the food. Stepping back, she watched as the men piled food on their plates. Even the small salad she made
disappeared. Taking a seat on the couch, she waited until it was her turn. She jumped a little when Razor practically threw a plate at her.

“Eat.” That’s all he
said
before he started in on his own plate.

She remembered the last time she saw him. He was pissed she was eating his canned food and not taking care of herself. The comment still hurt, more than he would have ever guessed. Everyone always commented on how she needed a man to watch over her, and she always felt like she had to prove them wrong. She worked
hard to show she could take care of herself, but at every turn she had taken lately; someone
was there to bail her out. It sucked that Razor was right.

She ate her food in silence, not sure what really to say at this point. She didn’t even know why he was here.

“So you understand what we want, right?” “Yeah, I got it.”

“Got what?” Okay, did she
blank and miss a whole conversation?

“Razor is staying here with you,” Michael stated.

“Um, I don’t think so. He has work to do, and plus he doesn’t want to watch me. I don’t need a babysitter,” she argued.

“Too
bad, baby girl. You got yourself one. I need to know you're
safe,
and the brothers and I need to find out more about who is running the shipments. I can’t worry about them and you at the same time. Family is family to me, Faith. So he’ll watch
you,
or I'll lock your ass up at the club and make sure you can’t do anything or see anyone,” her brother threatened. Shit, he would do it too.
