It scared the fuck out of her. But it felt so damn good at the same time.

Cherished.

Loved.

She looked into Griffen’s eyes and saw every emotion she could feel flowing through her in his eyes.

As she watched him, he reached between them with one hand and pressed his fingers against her clit.

She arched her neck. “Ohh…” Nothing compared to this sensation.

Nothing.

And the edge she’d been on earlier right before her second orgasm was now surpassed by this new cliff. Bigger. Richer. Scarier.

Raw.

Open.

Exposed.

“Do it.” She couldn’t believe she said that. Nor did she know what she was asking for. But there was more. They needed to fuck her harder. And she needed to come so badly she wouldn’t be right until she did.

Griffen’s face tightened as his eyes glazed over visibly.

Both men moved. Faster. Harder. In a perfect rhythm that defied logic.

She knew they were communicating with each other telepathically. They had to be. But still… It was insane how in sync they were.

One.

With her.

Three.

She stretched her neck out, a noise escaping her lips that made no sense. Just raw intense feeling as her world was consumed, swallowed up by these two men who would be her mates.

For life.

That was so clear now.

And she wasn’t scared anymore.

She was desperate to belong to them. “More.”

They picked up the pace.

She keened into the air, an unrecognizable sound.

And then the fingers at her clit rubbed harder, faster. And she was on that new edge. And then falling.

Her world shifted as she slipped into another dimension. Every muscle in her body participated in this orgasm. It blended with those of Griffen and Miles, whose cocks were now buried deep, no longer moving, pulsing inside her.

They both cried out. She heard her name several times among the moans.

Her arms wouldn’t hold her up any longer. They shook. She collapsed onto Griffen’s chest. His hands went around her and held her tight.

She blew long hairs out of her face to no avail. Sweat poured from her brow to drip on his pecs.

His chest rose and fell as he gasped for breath. They all did.

She whimpered audibly when Miles slowly pulled out.

He dropped alongside their tangle of bodies, his hand on her lower back below Griffen’s grip. His breaths hit her arm, and he kissed the spot where his lips were right next to her. “Holy shit,” he muttered.

Griffen chuckled, his chest vibrating. “There are no words.”

Rebecca couldn’t make her mouth move. It would take too much energy.
They were right. I’m never leaving here. Shit
.

Miles chuckled. “You should have listened to us. We tried to tell you.” His hand drew circles on her back and ass.

She lifted her face abruptly with energy she didn’t know she possessed and turned to look at him.

“We can hear your thoughts now, love.” He shrugged.

Her eyes went wide. “You what?”

He chuckled again, a deep sound she loved. “Mates can hear each other’s thoughts.”

Griffen reached out to brush her hair away from her face.

She groaned and set her cheek back down, her burst of energy spent. “Thank God I didn’t think something mean like that one or both of you sucked in bed,” she grumbled.

Griffen’s chest rose and fell again with his chuckles. He kissed the top of her head and squeezed her tighter. “Well you did finish your thoughts with an expletive. I believe it was ‘shit.’”

“I have a life, you know. A full one. A busy one. I have my job and my training. I don’t have time for men right now.”

“Well,” Miles began, “now you have a fuller, busier life. And we’ll help you juggle. Don’t worry so hard. We will work out the logistics.”

A new thought wiggled into her head, and she lifted herself up. “Dammit. We didn’t even use condoms.”

Griffen stroked a finger up her neck. “It’s okay, baby. We don’t carry human diseases.”

She narrowed her gaze. “That’s your only concern?”

He furrowed his brow. “I’m not worried about anything. I was just grasping at the typical human response.”

“Okay, so pregnancy isn’t a concern of yours?”
You’re both weirder than I thought.

Miles reached for her and tugged her hair gently to get her to face him. “It’s a little different for us, love. We can scent when you’re fertile. You aren’t right now.”

She gasped. “Are you serious?”

“Yeah.” Miles shrugged.

“Jesus.” She pulled herself off Griffen’s chest again. This time she lifted her pussy off his cock and climbed over him to sit on his other side. She stared at both grinning men and then flopped down on the bed on her back and threw her arm over her face. “I’m in over my head.”

Chapter Twelve

Miles couldn’t sleep. Even though he hadn’t slept much last night and the entire day had been non-stop, he still couldn’t sleep. It was late, two in the morning. The moon was almost full, and a beam of light shone through the window to illuminate the room. He leaned against the headboard, staring down at his sexy mate, stroking his fingers through a long lock of her amazing hair.

He’d known even when she had the braids in it would be amazing, but it surpassed that. It was spectacular. He loved the way it draped around him or trailed across his chest.

She was dead asleep, and for the first time he saw her face in a relaxed state. When she was awake, and even last night when she’d slept in his arms outside, she’d constantly been flinching, her face scrunched with stress.

But now she was finally sated and calm.

Griffen slept on the other side of her, equally dead to the world.

Hell, Miles should be out of it also, but his pile of stress was higher than either of theirs. He knew things they did not. He knew even though his grandmother appeared to be a crazy old woman, she was wise. If she said the spirits were angry, then there was reason to be concerned.

He wasn’t convinced the warning had been extended simply to impress upon the three of them to mate. Claiming Rebecca had been inevitable. They didn’t need some sort of black shadow to press the point or give their mating urgency. Mating was an urgent matter by default.

So what then? What was the spirit trying to convey?

Miles had been concerned the second he arrived on the top of the mountain and realized two things immediately—Rebecca was his mate, and Griffen did not trip and fall for no reason. Fate did not make mistakes. It was no coincidence things aligned the way they did when they did.

Nope. Miles was meant to take notice. Someone or something was trying to get his attention. And he needed to heed the warning.

But what was it?

He went back through the facts in his mind.

Griffen was not the first shifter to have an experience with a shadowed presence at the peak of one of the surrounding mountains. He may have been the first to get badly injured, but that could have been a fluke.

Right?

The look on his grandmother’s face when they’d arrived had sent chills down his spine. The way she focused her attention on Rebecca had made his mouth dry and his voice catch in his throat.

There were so many possible reasons why his grandmother would have been sitting on the porch waiting for them. She’d known something was up, but that wasn’t unusual for her. How much had she known? Was she shocked Rebecca was human or white? Or perhaps she was just concerned because the three of them hadn’t consummated the mating.

Whatever the case may be, Miles knew there was more to his grandmother’s visit than she alluded.

How many shifters had seen the black aura besides the ones his grandmother knew about? And what about shifters outside of the Yobuka tribe? It was impossible to be sure since there would be no way to gather the data. Chances are they would know of most instances involving his own local pack. There were several hundred of them spread out in that area of the reserve, all of whom knew the legends of the mountains and would have sought out his grandmother, the shaman, with any weird sightings.

But what about human sightings? Or those of other wolf shifters from the nearby town—Griffen included. If Griffen was inclined to think he must have seen a bear, it was reasonable to assume other shifters wouldn’t recognize the omen for what it was.

“You gonna sleep, man, or just stare at her all night?”
Griffen said into Miles’ mind.

Miles switched his gaze from Rebecca to Griffen, who shot him a knowing smile.

Griffen lifted onto one elbow and glanced down at their mate also.

She lay on her belly, her arms tucked under her pillow, her hair spread across her back and tangling with both men on either side.

Griffen picked up a lock and let it fall through his fingers.
“We’re liable to get caught in all this hair one night and be unable to escape.”
He chuckled into Miles’ mind.

“Mmm. Possibly, but if she ever cut a lock of it, I would have a coronary.”
It was that fantastic. The length reached the middle of her ass, soft curls that beckoned him to close his eyes, press his face into it, and breathe in her essence. He’d never seen anything quite that shade of auburn and certainly nothing as luxurious.

“Agreed.”
Griffen looked so content staring at her.

The same contentment Miles felt underneath his concern about the mountain spirits. He let his gaze roam the length of her. It was warm in the room, and she’d complained about the heat he and Griffen put off, that it was suffocating her. Therefore, the sheet was down near her knees.

Her ass was utter perfection—flawless white globes that begged him to grasp them in both hands. They were the only spot on her with any sign of body fat. She was long and lean, muscular from training so hard.

Smashed against the mattress were her glorious breasts, not large, but not incredibly small either, considering she was so fit.

She sighed and wiggled against the bed to get more comfortable as they watched.

“My cock gets hard every time I look at her,”
Griffen communicated.

“I’m pretty sure that’s been a constant since I arrived on that mountain last night.”

“Do you think she realizes now the implication of this mating?”
Griffen lowered himself back down beside her, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath.

“No. I’m afraid we’ll have a battle on our hands in the morning.”

“She said she needs to train tomorrow.”

Miles stiffened. Tomorrow was Monday. Griffen was still off work and could probably finagle something with his family over the next few days so they covered for him, but Miles had patients to see. He wasn’t due in the office tomorrow, but he had two appointments at neighboring farms. The thought of leaving his mate for that long made him cringe.
“You okay to train with her tomorrow?”

“Yep. But I bet she’s gonna put up a fit. She’s not exactly the type to take kindly to such overprotection.”

Miles slipped down alongside her and inhaled her scent for the millionth time.
“Yeah. She’s gonna be hell on wheels.”
He smiled. He was up to the task.

Rebecca came awake slowly, a smile spreading across her lips as she became aware of the hands stroking her body. She’d fallen asleep to their touch, and apparently they were insatiable.

Of course, she wasn’t feeling disagreeable.

She was on her belly, and her nipples protested against the sheet beneath them. But the hands on each of her thighs, spreading them apart as they inched closer to her pussy, distracted her from the pressure against her breasts.

Griffen’s lips landed on her shoulder and nibbled a path to her ear. “Someone’s awake,” he whispered at the same time one of them stroked through her folds.

She moaned into the pillow. “How is anyone supposed to be able to sleep with such torture?”

“Torture, huh?” Miles chuckled. She figured he was the one fingering her because he thrust into her pussy as he spoke.

She fisted the pillow tighter, incoherent sounds coming from her mouth.
