He hadn’t been in the studio since he started helping with Christopher, he had finished his album with only the thoughts of his son and Bella Rose going through his head, asking himself why he had to screw up that relationship especially when he saw her with their son they could have been a family and he ruined it, possibly the chance of it ever happening.

Georgiana had been drunk the night he woke up in her bed, he had a few too many beers himself all because his second album wasn’t selling too well and with all the hard work he had put into it, it had taken him to a place he never should have been.

Luanne stood there as he finished with a smile he had fallen in love with, the last thing he wanted was to hurt her.

“I thought you had work.” He said to her as he wrapped his arms around her.

“I did, just got back from there, Debra’s very happy with what I’ve reported.” Being confronted by the Detective was the only thing she had left out of it, as far as she was concerned it was none of Debra’s business.

“It’s a nice surprise.” He had that look as he spoke, the look of need right before they made love, “You look nice.” Those sweet words, her body ached for his touch.

They held hands as they walked out and said goodbye to the producer who wasn’t surprised to where they were headed, it was the same as his relationship with Bella Rose he saw it in the way Brock looked into Luanne’s eyes.

Was Luanne ready to be a mother?

              Being with her was more than just the perfect moment, Brock didn’t want her to leave when morning came it was always the same feeling, the same dreadful feeling. He had everything he ever asked for; all that was missing was his son. He missed not being there for him when he knew he could have been he tried not to blame himself for it but the guilt was there, He hated keeping the secret about Bella Rose and the baby away from Luanne and he knew of the possibility she would leave him and the thought of never seeing her again, it killed him. Vegas was a big city, there was temptation everywhere; temptation he turned his back on. He could see himself marrying her in a way he couldn’t with Bella Rose.

He wasn’t sure what had gone wrong there, maybe music got in the way of how they felt for each other, the concerts and the recording they were never able to spend much time together like they had in the beginning. He was thankful for the change and to have Luanne.

              Georgiana returned home finding Mickey Holton sitting on her couch, a man she wished she would have never had to lay eyes on again with a smirk.

“Long time no see Georgiana.” He said taking a puff from his cigarette.

“Too bad it didn’t stay that way.” He had disgusted her in ways she hadn’t thought were possible.

“I’d be nice if I were you, I got some information for you.” He said happily.

“What kind of information would that be?” She asked not really all that interested at first.

“Someone’s been trailing you.” Mickey replied, he thought he had trained her better than that to not leave anything behind.

“Who?” She asked curiously slowly reaching for the gun in her living room desk drawer.

“A woman by the name of Luanne, she works for the magazine Eye Candy.” He stopped before he got ahead of himself, “There’s something you owe me isn’t there? I’m not telling you anything else until I get it.” Mickey wasn’t going to have much of a choice.

Georgiana aimed the gun at him, “You tell me what you know, don’t have much of a choice here.” She said putting her hand on the trigger.

“It’s something you’ve done before isn’t it?” Mickey wasn’t too surprised, except she slipped up last time and almost got herself caught. She would have been in jail not Victor Paulson and she didn’t even finish the job.

The fact that he was just laughing at her while she held a gun in her hand annoyed her more than him keeping secrets.

If she hadn’t return to her new apartment for things she needed, she wouldn’t have found herself in that situation.

“Put the gun down.” He ordered not believing she was in control.

“Apparently you’re not seeing what I have in my hands.”  She said to him angrily.

“You; apparently didn’t hear who just walked in behind you.” He said as he pointed toward the back of her.

It was bodyguard Jack, well known for the things he could do to really get someone’s attention and he had hers.

              She handed the gun to Jack as Mickey rose from the couch.

“You’re going to regret pulling that little stunt.” Mickey whispered into her ear as he left the apartment with Jack.

She wasn’t sure what to be upset about that she had just got on his bad side or that she never found out the information he had.

              Luanne took the vacation she needed from work but still continued to see Victor on her own. She knew he deserved his freedom and she couldn’t just stop their interviews as well as keep an eye on Georgiana, she couldn’t do more than she could handle.

Sitting at the jail she wished she could have had a cigarette even though she quit years ago.

When Victor walked in she noticed the bruise on his eye, busted lip and swollen cheek.

“What happened to you?” She asked worriedly.

“Got into a fight for helping a guy out.” He was happy he did it, he could never leave anyone in trouble and by seeing the look on Luanne’s face he knew he looked awful.

Luanne was lucky she had never been in his position, she did everything she could in life to not get locked up unlike her brother Lonnie who took a different path when he moved to New York.

              “I want to know more about Bella Rose, you don’t think she is capable of anything like this?” She asked not sure if it was just for him or of her own interest.

“No, not Bella Rose despite who she hangs out with, she’s a sweet girl.” He replied, “I know it had to be Georgiana we had a conversation two nights before Carl Kinsley got put in the hospital.

“A conversation, what about?” She asked curiously hoping it would help her get down to the bottom of it.

“You can find out yourself her house is wire tapped, I’ve had every conversation she’s ever had on tape.” Victor answered, “I told you, I didn’t trust her and I still don’t trust her, anything can happen while I’m in here and it will all point to her.”

Having evidence against Georgiana would be just what she needed. Victor gave Luanne permission to go into his house and go through the tapes.

She hadn’t expected to hear what she heard, a conversation of Georgiana and Brock, she wasn’t sure what to think, had Bella Rose known about their affair. 

What did it mean for Carl Kinsley and Victor Paulson?

“You can’t keep saying you have no feelings for me.” Georgiana said to Brock anxious to get his attention.

“I’m with someone now, and I’ve never had any feelings for you at all, it shouldn’t have gone as far as it did.” He wished it had never happened, wished he could rewind time and erase the whole thing.

He knew it was impossible, if he had known how crazy she was it wouldn’t have happened to begin with, he was angry with Bella Rose and took frustrations out the one way he thought would help.

He knew then he would have been better off going into the studio and lay it all on the album.

“You do miss me, I know you do, we can have it all; we can have everything.” Georgiana knew how desperate and needy she sounded, but she didn’t care or about the fact she would lose Bella Rose as a friend.

“I do have everything with Luanne.” He said hoping that would have gotten rid of her.

“She can’t give you what I can.” Georgiana placed her hand on his chest and leaned in to kiss him.

“You don’t know what I’ve done for you.” Georgiana yelled to him, but he ignored her.

“You’re making a mistake.” She whispered.

A mistake he couldn’t come back from.

                                                                                    Chapter Four

Georgiana was a dangerous woman, Luanne didn’t want to find out the consequences if she discovered Luanne was on her trail.

              Georgiana had hired Carl Kinsley to do a job for her, Luanne wasn’t sure she wanted to know what kind of job.

Carl didn’t understand why he was in a hospital with stab wound in his chest until he talked to the doctor who put on his stitches.

He was happy to see a pretty face like Luanne’s when he first woke up.

“Do I know you?” He asked curiously.

“No, but we have a mutual acquaintance.” She replied,  lying straight through her teeth wondering if he would buy every word she spoke.

“Are you sure we’ve never met?” He was being flirtatious which made Luanne want to get the interview over with.

“I think you’d remember a person like me.” She said as she sat comfortably in the chair beside the bed. “Do you know how you got yourself here?”

Carl looked up at the ceiling for a minute, “No, the only thing I remember was everything going black and then waking up here. What friend did you say we have in common?” Luanne was hoping would have come later.

“Georgiana Thomas, I’ve known her for a few years.” Again lying through her teeth, but it seemed he was  hanging on to every word.

“Apparently not too well or you wouldn’t have been friends with her to begin with.” Carl said getting annoyed at the thought of her alone. “She’s the reason I am in this damn bed.”

“Did you tell somebody, anyone?” With the hope that he had and Victor Paulson was off the hook.

“I never involve the law I handle things my way.” He answered.

“Why would she have done this to you?” She asked not really wanting to know.

“She wanted me to do something for her and it didn’t exactly go right, the chick was still alive she didn’t like that so much.” He replied.

Luanne didn’t think she was going to get any more information out of him, she was lucky she got what she had.

“Thank you Carl, I won’t take any more of your time.” The rest of it she would have to figure it out on her own.

“Hey,” He called to her as she headed out the room. “If I were you I’d stay clear of her you hear? Don’t get mixed up with her.”

She nodded and proceeded to leave the hospital.
