“Look,
I appreciate all of the teasing and I know you are trying to build me up, but I
swear to God if you don’t fuck me right now I’m going to grab your balls and
twist!”
I
arched my back grinding my hips into him, desperate to feel some relief from
the pressure building between my legs.
He
grinned sexily at me and said, “Well, I’ve never been one to disappoint a hot
girl and I kind of like my balls where they are.”
He
wasted no time in finally sliding his engorged cock inside me. I gasped and
screamed out as he started off hard and never let up until we found our release
together. Whether it was hot and fast or slow and sweet, morning sex with Beau was
always my favorite time of day.
After
we made love, we took a shower and got dressed for the day. Even thought it was
late May, it was unusually warm outside so I decided to dress lightly considering
I had a little heater in my belly warming me up. I decided on a pair of cutoff
jean shorts, espadrille sandals (I figured I’d better get use out of them before
my feet swelled and my balance was all off), and a long billowy top that flowed
around my waist making it easy to hide my baby bump. I was sliding on my
sandals when I heard Beau cursing from the next room.
“Damn
it,” he grumbled.
“What’s
wrong?” I asked as I stood up from the bed.
He
was scrolling through his phone as he walked out of the bathroom and looked
frustrated. When he took in my expression, he smiled at me and said, “Oh
nothing major. Seems it’s on the news that we came here to town.”
I
rolled my eyes and growled.
“Seriously?
We can’t even go away for the weekend, ugh!” I exclaimed, feeling more
emotional than I probably should have been. It was always annoying when we were
followed or photographed but lately it was really grating on my nerves. I
couldn’t blame it all on the pregnancy hormones though. It was weighing on my
mind more and more each day that as soon as I really started to show and the
press got wind of it I would have to be careful. Hell, Beau would probably go
all “Ryder” on me and make John take me wherever I went.
Beau
put his phone in his pocket and pulled me into his arms.
“It’ll
be fine, baby, don’t worry. It doesn’t look like it’s going to be bad. I think
last time was worse because most of the publicity was for Ryder and Everleigh.”
“I
know that, but you weren’t here after the incident in New York,
I was
. I
couldn’t go anywhere for at least three weeks without someone asking me about
Scott’s death.”
“Yes,
but it eventually died down, didn’t it? Especially after the truth came out?”
I
shrugged. “Yeah, I guess it did.”
“See?
We can’t stay locked in your parents’ house all weekend. I’m sure this won’t be
as big a deal as you think it will be, but do you want me to call John or one
of the security team to come here just in case?”
I
smiled and shook my head. “No, I’m sure it will be fine. I guess I am just
antsy over the press because sooner or later they will find out about the baby
and it’s going to be chaos.”
“I
know, I’ve been thinking about that too. We just have to be as careful as we
can be in public until we are ready to tell the world.”
“Well,
first things first…we need to tell my parents.”
“Okay,
well, whenever you are ready I’m ready.”
“Good,
because I was thinking this morning. Maybe over breakfast.”
He
grinned at me and said, “That soon, huh? Why?”
“Because
our Jelly Bean is really starting to pop and with the media catching wind of
our visit to Muncie, I don’t want them to find out on the news or on a social
media site. Our friends already know, so Mom and Dad are the last ones we need
to tell.”
“And
you’re sure you’re ready to do this?” he asked me.
“Well,
I’m a little nervous, but I know they will be happy about it. Besides, even if
they aren’t, as long as I have you by my side I’ll be okay.”
He
sighed and pulled my lips to his. After lightly touching my tongue with his, he
said, “Danni, you will always have me in every way. You and our Jelly Bean are
all I’ll ever need.”
I
felt tears forming in my eyes and I kissed him again, this time thrusting my
tongue past his full lips and moaning into his mouth. His strong hands roamed
down and gripped my ass for a moment before he released me.
“Come
on, we need to get this over with so I can drag you back in here and finish
what you just started.”
“Sounds
like a plan,” I said seductively as I reached down and traced his quickly
swelling erection with my fingers. He swallowed hard and lightly smacked my ass
as I pulled away from him and walked out of my bedroom holding his hand in
mine.
“Well,
good morning you two,” Mom said to us, taking a drink of her coffee as we
walked into the kitchen. “You sleep okay?”
I
smiled and snuggled into Beau’s side. “I always do when I’m next to him.”
Mom
smiled at me and said, “That’s so sweet. Ah, to be young again.”
I
kissed Beau on the cheek then walked to the refrigerator, taking out a little
bottle of orange juice. I opened it and took a long, satisfying drink then asked,
“Where’s Dad?”
“He’s
taking a shower, then he and I were thinking of taking you kids to Deuce’s for breakfast.”
I
smiled as I thought of my old boss, Walter Downing. Of course, no one called
him that if they didn’t want to get smacked so everyone in town just called him
Deuce.
“Aw,
it will be so nice to get to see him again.”
“We
thought so too,” Mom said.
“I
can’t believe I’m saying this, but I’ve really missed that place. It will be
nice to be there as a customer for once.”
“Well
we should get to it then,” Dad said cheerfully as he walked into the kitchen. After
patting Beau on the back, he walked to me and gave me a hug.
“Morning,
princess. You look beautiful today.”
“Why
thank you, Dad.”
“Are
you kids ready to go?” Mom asked, grabbing her purse from the counter.
“I
know I am. I’m hungry and I’ve really been craving some banana walnut
pancakes,” I said.
Beau
cleared his throat and I instantly realized my mistake.
Shit
…
Dad
smiled at me and said, “Well, if you’re
craving
it we’d best get there
then, huh?”
I
walked back to Beau and took his hand. I laced my fingers through his and he
gave my hand a squeeze before I answered.
“Uh
yeah, we should. Let’s go.”
While
Beau drove the distance to Deuce’s, I leaned my head back in the seat and
sighed.
“I
can’t believe I just slipped back there. God I can’t wait to get to the
restaurant and get this over with.”
“Relax,
Danni, it’ll be fine. I think it’s a good idea to tell them today because
you’re not the best with secrets. I love you, baby, but it’s true.”
“I’d
argue with you but you’re right. I’m just glad we’ll be in a crowded restaurant
when I tell them.”
“I
thought you said they would be okay with this,” he said.
“They
will be but you know how nervous I can get. It will help me stay calm if we are
in a busy place when we tell them.”
“Well,
let’s get there and get this over with so we don’t have to hide anymore. I
don’t want you being stressed out over anything, no matter how minor it is.”
I
looked over at him and smiled. I placed my hand on his bicep and said, “Do you
know how much I love you?”
Beau
smiled that killer smile at me and answered, “Believe me, it’s not more than I
love you.”
I
leaned over and kissed his arm as we pulled into the parking lot at Deuce’s.
It
was a Saturday so of course it was packed. Beau found one of the last few
parking spots in the lot and as he shut off the engine of the Charger, I saw
Dad’s red truck a few spots over. We took off our seatbelts and before Beau
opened his door, I leaned over the seat and pulled his lips to mine. I slipped
my tongue into his mouth and moaned as he kissed me back.
I
pulled away, dazed, and he asked, “What was that for?”
“Just
because. You ready to do this?”
“I
was born ready, baby.”
I
giggled at him.
“You
were born ready to tell your girlfriend’s parents that you knocked up their
daughter?”
“You
know it,” he grinned, and kissed me one more time before we got out of the car.
His
kiss had my hyper-sensitive sex drive on full alert. I was fanning my face with
my hand as we walked toward the entrance to Deuce’s where my parents were
waiting.
“You
know, I was just thinking of something.”
“What’s
that, Danni?” Beau asked me.
“We
totally need to have sex in your car at some point before I get too big because
let me tell you, if we weren’t in public right now, I’d have totally just
straddled you and fucked you in the driver’s seat,” I said, biting my lip.
“Fuck
Danni,” he growled into my ear, “You’ve got to stop talking to me like that
when we can’t be alone for a while.”
“I’ll
make it up to you later, I promise,” I whispered as we got closer to Mom and
Dad.
“Well,
there you two are,” Dad said. “You ready to try some good home cooking, Beau?”
He
smiled and patted his stomach. “I don’t know how anyone can top those ribs from
last night, but I’m willing to give it a try.”
Dad
held open the door for everyone and I followed after Mom with Beau close behind
me. As soon as I was inside I smelled all of the familiar smells of the little
diner. I had worked there with Everleigh since we were both eighteen years old
and I immediately felt emotional. I’d only been away for eight months but it
hit me hard how much I’d missed this place, especially Deuce. It wasn’t an easy
or glamorous job by any means, but I wouldn’t trade my time here working with
Ev and Deuce for anything.
My
eyes quickly scanned the crowded diner for any sign of my former boss.
I
didn’t get very far before I heard a familiar gruffy voice call out, “Well
hell’s bells, if trouble didn’t just walk back through my door!”
I
looked around and my eyes landed on Deuce walking toward me with his arms open,
looking the same as he always did. He had a big round belly, long gray hair
that he usually kept back in a low ponytail, and was wearing an American flag
bandana on his head. I always thought he looked like an old biker hippy.
“Deuce,
hi!” I exclaimed as I ran toward him and hugged him tightly. “It’s so good to
see you again! How have you been doing?”
“I’ve
been wonderful, Danni. Let me get a look at you,” he said, releasing me and
holding out my arms. “You look beautiful, sweetheart. Looks like you’re doing
okay in Cincinnati.”
“I
really am,” I answered, and then looked back at Beau, who was smiling at me.
“Speaking
of doing okay, let me introduce you to the reason that I am.”
I
motioned for Beau to come to us. He walked over to me and I took his hand in
mine, pulling him close.
“Deuce,
I’d like you to meet my boyfriend Beau Cavanaugh. Beau, this is my former boss
Deuce Downing.”
Deuce
placed his hand in Beau’s and shook it firmly.
“Ah,
yes, I think we met briefly at Max’s funeral the last time you were in town.
It’s good to see you again,” Deuce said.
“You
too,” Beau answered.
“So,
you’re the reason Danni abandoned me?” he asked Beau teasingly.
“Well,
I guess so,” Beau laughed. “Just so you know, I don’t plan to give her back.”
Deuce
smiled at Beau and said, “Glad to hear that, son. Listen, table eight just
opened up so why don’t y’all get comfortable and I’ll bring out some drinks.
Coffee okay for everyone to start off?”
Under
normal circumstances I’d drink coffee but being pregnant meant I had to severely
limit my caffeine intake.
I
smiled politely and answered, “Actually, can I have some tea with a little bit
of honey?”
He
blinked in surprise and said, “Sure thing Danni. Tea for you, coffee for everyone
else?”
Everyone
nodded. “Thanks, Deuce,” I said, patting him on the back and walking to the
table with Beau, Mom, and Dad.
As
soon as we were all seated, Dad picked up his menu and before he opened it he
said, “Well now, isn’t this nice. Being back at Deuce’s for breakfast as a
family.”
I
smiled at him because he was looking right at Beau when he said that. I felt
like I was living a dream…eating breakfast with my parents and Beau, everyone
getting along and happy, and me carrying the love of my life’s child inside me.
In my mind, life could only get better from here.
