She laughs softly. “Yes, but he still lets me call him Mickey.”

I grin. “I’ll give that one a go, see how much he cares about me!”

Her eyes soften. “He does care about you, a lot from what I can see.”

“I care about him too, very much.”

“I can see that, too.”

“I know it didn’t start in the most appropriate way, but we’re serious about each other.”

She nods, turning and pulling a large roast lamb from the fridge.

“Yes, well, sometimes life doesn’t take us on the most sensible of paths. Doesn’t mean they’re the wrong ones, though.”

I nod, liking how she is making me feel.

“You’re right about that.”

“So tell me,” she says, handing me a knife. “How did you meet?”

“I got an opportunity to work for him.”

“That must have been…interesting,” she chuckles.

“Yes, he can be a hard man.”

“Yes, that he certainly can.”

“It was a great experience though.”

“I imagine. Do you know how to slice vegetables?”

I nod. “Of course.”

She opens the fridge and gathers some potatoes and carrots. She pops them down on the bench and hands me a cutting board, then she gets to work on the lamb. I begin peeling and slicing the carrots and cubing the potatoes. We’re busy chatting away, when Marcus and Ted come back in, beers in hand. I look up, still chopping, to smile at Marcus. I feel the burn before I realize what I’ve done. Julie makes a gasping sound and I look down to see blood pouring from my pointer finger in thick, red rivulets. I stare at it for a moment, almost in shock.

“Shit, Sierra!” I hear Marcus say.

I can’t move. For some reason, I am just staring at the blood. I feel Marcus take my hand and wrap a towel around my finger. I hear Julie fluttering about, but it takes me a good moment to snap myself out of the moment I was just having. I blink a few times and lift my eyes to meet Marcus’. He stares down at me, his gaze worried. His grip is tight around my finger as he puts pressure on to slow down the blood flow. He pulls the towel back and stares at the cut, then he covers it again and looks to his mother.

“It’s certainly deep enough for stitches, but the distance it will take isn’t worth it.”

“I have some glue, son. The doctor gave it to me, ‘coz I’m always gettin’ cut,” Ted says.

Marcus nods and Ted turns and walks out the room. Marcus strokes my cheek, making me look up at him.

“You don’t like blood.”

It’s not that I don’t like blood, I’ve just seen too much of my own blood in the past few days. Julie stops her frantic worrying and takes my hand, peeking at the cut.

“Oh goodness love, you could have cut your finger off perving at my son!”

That does it for me, I burst into a fit of giggles so loud they both go quiet. After a moment, Julie starts giggling too and Marcus lets off a deep, throaty chuckle. When Ted comes back in, he looks between us with a confused expression, then he too begins chuckling. He hands Marcus the little bottle of glue and Marcus takes it. He looks down at me and gives me a ‘is this going to be ok?’ look. I nod and he unravels my finger, I turn my head away and look at Julie. She gives me a reassuring smile and I wince in pain as Marcus moves the flesh around so he can glue it back together. When he’s done, he bandages it up and presses my fingertip to his lips.

When I look at Julie again, she’s smiling…and just like that, I know I’m a part of this family already.

CHAPTER 9
SIERRA

“Mickey!”

We hear the loud booming voice coming from the front door. We’re all sitting in the lounge, drinking beer and playing board games. Marcus is winning each one, even though he’s been up and down on the phone.

That’s just unfair. When I look up in the direction the voice came from, I see a tall, dark haired man come through the opening. He resembles Marcus, only his eyes are the same as Julies. His hair is a touch shorter and he’s a little shorter and stockier, but he’s just as devastatingly handsome as Marcus. I can tell right away this is his brother, I knew he had one, but I haven’t been given many details on him.

Marcus grins, standing and walking over. He hugs his brother and they slap at each other’s backs. I can’t help but smile. When they turn, Marcus has his arm around his shoulder. He grins down at me, and when his brother notices me he gives me a grin just as wide. Julie leaps up and hugs him, and they all chat happily amongst themselves for a long moment. Finally, they turn to me and Marcus introduces me as his girlfriend. It’s a little weird hearing myself being called Marcus’

girlfriend. It’s not really a term we have used a lot between us. It seems almost too…well…childish.

“Well hello gorgeous girl, damn bro, you picked a good one this time.”

“Sierra, this is my charming brother Hayden. The one who gave my parents grey hair,” Marcus chuckles.

I smile and shake Hayden’s outstretched hand.

“Nice to meet you, Hayden.”

“You too, pretty lady.”

“Ease up big fella, this one’s mine.” Marcus grins.

“Yeah bro, doesn’t mean I can’t look,” Hayden chuckles.

“Stop making the poor girl blush,” Ted grins.

I look over at Julie, and she’s smiling softly at me. I turn back to the men and give them my best grin.

“I don’t mind,” I smile.

“Sweet girl,” Hayden murmurs.

“Fuckin’ sweet.” Marcus agrees.

“Language!” Julie chastises.

Then we’re all laughing again. I have a loving, caring family, but this one nearly tops mine. They’re so gentle, funny and welcoming. They’re the kind of family you hope to have when you have children. They’re the kind of family you want to be when your own kids bring home someone they love. They’re the meaning of family, through and through.

“So tell me, Sierra, how did Marcus get so lucky?” Hayden asks, plonking down onto the couch beside me.

“Fate, I guess.”

“Had to be more than fate to get rid of that other dragon.”

I choke on the beer I was just taking a sip of. Hayden laughs and Marcus punches his shoulder lightly.

“It’s true bro,” he protests. “The woman is a snake.”

“Yeah, I figured that one out the hard way.”

“I told you from the beginning,” Ted adds. “I told you she was no good.”

“Yeah, dad, I know you did,” Marcus says, in a gruff tone.

“You should always listen to your parents,” Julie says. “They know what’s best.”

“Yeah, Mickey…” Hayden teases.

The two get into a wrestling match on the couch. Julie rolls her eyes and stands, pulling me up with her.

“I think I need a nice cup of tea, would you like one love?”

“Yes please, Julie.”

We go into the kitchen and I help Julie prepare the tea, as we’re watching the boys, she quietly says, “I’ve never seen my son laugh so much. He’s so different with you, so carefree, so unwound. He’s always tied up so tightly, he’s always so stiff and angry. I don’t often get to see him just be himself, and not the dominant male he’s created himself to be in the position he’s in.”

“I like seeing him happy, too. He’s so much fun when he’s happy.”

“It doesn’t matter to you, does it?”

I turn to her. “What?”

“His money, his job?”

I stare back at Marcus for a long moment before turning back to Julie and saying, “No, it doesn’t. It never has. In fact, if anything, I kind of wish he didn’t do it. I am so very proud of him, he’s amazing at what he does, but that world is daunting and draining.”

“You’re giving him something else. You’re letting him see a life outside of work. For that, I will be forever grateful.”

I smile at her. “He’s a good man.”

“And you’re a good woman.”

“There you are…”

I grin when Marcus comes up behind me and wraps his arms around my waist.

“Ah, it’s time for me to go.” Julie smiles, before taking her tea and walking out.

“Hey…” I whisper.

“Hey yourself.”

“Are you having fun?”

He leans down and whispers that into my ear, all the while his tongue is sliding out and tracing a tingly path up my neck.

“I am,” I murmur. “Mickey.”

He chuckles. “Now, now, go easy on me, baby.”

“I have a good game in mind for that name…”

“Oh?” he says, nipping my earlobe.

“Yes, it includes my pussy and your cock.”

He freezes and I smother my giggle, I know my words have shocked him, it’s not often I speak like that.

“Sierra, baby, did you just speak dirty to me?”

“I did, sir, are you going to punish me for it?”

“Hell no I’m not, but I will fuck you, hard, for it.”

I shudder. “Please do, sir.”

“I think you look tired.”

“Oh, I am.”

“I think you should go to bed, right now.”

“Yes, I believe you’re right.”

He lets me go, spins me around and tilts his head, capturing my lips in one hell of a kiss. When he pulls away, his eyes are blazing. Before I can open my mouth to speak, he pulls me out into the living room. When everyone looks up as we walk in, I feel my cheeks flush. I’m fairly sure they all know what we’re about to go do, and I’m not sure I’m entirely comfortable with that, but at the same time, I honestly don’t think I have it in me to resist him. Not when his finger is sliding suggestively up and down my back. God dammit.

“We’re going to bed, it’s been a long day,” Marcus announces.

Julie looks up from her position on the couch and smiles. “Of course, have a wonderful sleep you two.”

Marcus grins at her and ignores Hayden as he murmurs little teasing words about ‘getting lucky’ and ‘getting jiggy with it’. I can’t help but smile as Marcus leads me down the hall, but as we near closer to the room, I feel my nerves get the better of me. I swallow over and over as we step inside the large room, with a queen sized bed in the middle.

There is an old wooden desk in the corner and the walls are a pale blue.

The bed’s covers almost match, they are a light blue color with white trimmings. It’s all very homely. Marcus let’s go of my hand and walks over to the window, sliding it closed and pulling a cream curtain across it.

When he turns back to me, I swallow. Here goes. I drop to my knees and murmur, “It’s time to play, sir.”

~*~*~*~*

MARCUS

Holy sweet fuck. She’s on her knees, her mouth working over my cock, while her free hand cups my balls, gently rolling them around in her soft palms. Her warm, wet mouth slides up and down my shaft, causing bolts of pleasure to slide through my body. If she keeps this up, I’ll be pumping her mouth full of come in less than a fucking minute. I grip her locks of hair and pull her head back, she looks up at me with plump, swollen lips. I grin down at her, running my thumb across them and then slipping my thumb into her mouth. She sucks on it greedily.

“What game are we going to play, sweetheart?” I murmur.

She slips my thumb from her mouth with a pop and gets to her feet. I watch as she digs through her suitcase and pulls out some clothes. She gives me a sexy look, before stripping out of her clothes and shimmying her ass into a tiny, short skirt. She pulls on a pair of heels and leaves everything else bare. Holy fuck. When she begins walking towards me, singing softly, it takes me a moment to realize what it is that’s coming out of her mouth. I never thought I would find it sexy, but fuck, it’s so god damned sexy coming from her.

“Oh Mickey what a pity you don’t understand, you take me by the heart when you take me by the hand, oh Mickey you’re so pretty can’t you understand, it’s guys like you Mickey…” she sings in a husky, sexy tone.

When she reaches me, she puts a hand to my chest and pushes me backwards. I let her take the control. When she pushes my back down onto the bed and climbs over me, straddling me and pressing her perfect nipples towards my face, I feel everything inside me melt. She continues singing that song, teasing me with her sexy use of my nickname. She looks so fucking sexy above me, her tiny body moving over mine as she sings and runs her fingers down my chest. I open my mouth, letting her nipple lower into my mouth. I close my mouth around it, and suck until it forms a hard, delicious peak. When her singing turns into soft moans, I run my hands up her back.

“My turn, baby,” I whisper, flipping her over and pressing her back into the mattress.

She whimpers as I suck her nipples, swirling my tongue around the hard peaks until she’s crying out and arching up towards me with perfectly flushed cheeks. Her hair is splayed out over the pillow and her gorgeous pink lips are slightly parted as she whimpers my name over and over. I slide my mouth down her stomach, kissing a small trail down her belly until I reach her skirt. I grip it, lowering it until her gorgeous little pussy is on display. I flick the skirt off and grip her ankle, leaving the shoes on. I spread her legs, admiring the view as her wet little cleft opens for me. Growling and trying desperately to ignore the ache in my dick, I lower my mouth.

Pure bliss, tasting her is always pure bliss. Her little cries of passion as she tries to smother her pleasure is mind blowing . Knowing my parents are in the other room adds a whole other spark to what we’re doing. I slide one finger inside her, feeling her clench and clamp around me as I work her hard little clit with my mouth. She cries out, shoving a pillow over her mouth as she arches up and I take hold of her hips, clenching my fingers into her soft skin as I swirl my tongue in perfect little circles until I feel her coming around me. Her pussy clenches on my finger, her clit throbs in my mouth and her muffled cries fill my ears.

When I wrench my mouth away, she lays panting on the bed. I grip my shirt, tearing it off and tossing it on the floor. When I free my aching dick, I let my body drop back over hers. I find her mouth, claiming it in a deep, heated kiss that has us both gripping each other with desperation. I grip her ankle and put it over my hip before pressing my cock to her wet entrance. Her fingernails slide down my back as she tilts her hips up, begging me to fuck her. Making love with Sierra is beautiful, but fucking her is just as thrilling. We both have that raw, primal need to feel each other in the most vulgar ways sometimes.
