“I... I don't know. I don't know what the hell is going on. I was caught up in the song and I was dancing with Natalia and next thing I knew you were running through the crowd.”

“Take her outside, Natalia, Justin is waiting for her.” Davien demanded. He threw a pair of sweat pants in my direction. “Put these on, Avery.” His breathing was heavy and fast and his words followed even faster.

When we stepped from the bathroom, the crowd had thinned out to barely anything. Justin instantly grabbed my hand tightly and quickly leading me through the bar. Exiting the bar's door, Justin brushed the loose hairs from my face with his shaky hand. “You okay, Baby girl?” He always called me 'Baby girl'... in the beginning Davien would give him devilish looks when he called me that, but eventually over the last couple weeks, he just took it in. It was completely harmless, something like a big brother nick-naming his little sister. I nodded my head. Holding my cheek in place, he ran his thumb under my eye to catch a single tear. He walked me to Davien's bike where he was already seated. I took one glance at Justin and he had a long cut under his right eye. It was still bleeding and I forced myself to look the other direction.

Davien started the loud noise from his bike and I had no choice but to step behind him. I slowly placed my arms around his waist and as always he pulled them tighter. I rest my face on his back and immediately began crying. He could hear my pants and he lowered one of his hands every so often to my hands, trying to rub my pain away. It was the longest ride home as I held onto Davien's waist. “Where's Natalia?” I managed to speak. “Is she okay?”

“She's fine. Scott is following her to her place to make sure she's okay.”

Chapter 7

As soon as we made it home, I walked to the basement and threw pajamas on. I heard the shower turn on and I sat crying. I was completely sober after the 'excitement'. I stepped from the bed and walked to the bathroom. “Can we talk?” I asked over the noise from the shower.

Davien pulled the shower curtain to the side slightly with surprise on his face. “What's wrong, Avery?” He actually asked sympathetically.

“I'm sorry about tonight. I didn't know what was going on. I was stupid for drinking the shots too fast, for drinking so many.” I sat at the toilet with my head in my hands. “Sorry for disturbing your shower, but I needed to tell you.” I stood from the toilet and walked to the door.

“Stop, Avery.” He pulled the curtain slightly to the side again .“It's my fault. I should have never treated you the way I did tonight. I was a total ass and it killed me the entire time.”

“No, I was a bitch before we even left tonight. You had the right to treat me the way you did.”

“Come here.” My head backed away as I thought about his command but I slowly walked towards the shower. He pulled the curtain to the side again and held his hand out. “Join me, Avery, please.” He didn't ask, he literally begged. “Please.”

I took a long deep breath as he watched me. I stepped from my pajamas until I was wearing only my bra and panties. “I've seen it all, Avery.” He pulled the curtain all of the way until I saw his entire naked body. I blushed at the sight, but I bent down to pull my panties to my ankles. I turned and Davien unfastened my bra. “Turn.” I turned to face him and his eyes took in my entire body as his tongue swept between his lips in slow motion.

I slowly stepped into the shower and the hot water hit my body. My eyes were frozen as I stood watching Davien's incredible body. His face was turned up as the water fell over him. Fingers rushing through his hair and the water dripped from his chin. He looked amazing, mouth-watering and I had been sharing a bed with him.

When he lowered his face from the water, he pulled me tight at his chest. My bare breasts sat against him and I could feel the panting between us.  He lowered his face until his lips barely touched my lips and I was just as lost as when we danced on the floor.

He began singing to me with his amazing, slightly scratchy voice. The words not only chocked me up, but he barely let the words left his lips when he started singing David Archuleta's song “Crush”. When he started singing about running from the truth he held me close. And he pulled my face to look at him when the words spoke about whether he was crazy or maybe he really was falling in love. Then his breathing slowed as he fought the words. He reached for my hands and pulled my face to meet his eyes and spoke the last few words as whispers, his lips silently speaking about his crush wasn't going away from him. He had no desire to give up on me.

I stared at him as his eyes filled with tears, but the bad boy in him held the tears from falling. My hands touched his jaw line and pulled his face until his lips were on mine. He felt incredible and he was all mine. My hands dropped to his neck and I laced my fingers tightly around him. He let his fingers explore my lower back. “Davien, I want you so badly.”

              “I can't hurt you though, Avery. I
won't
.” I nodded my head. “I can't hold my feelings back anymore, the feelings I have for you. I never  let you go.”

“I know, Davien. I feel the same way. I can't do this anymore.” I agreed. “Why though, why did you look at me like you did tonight? You looked like you wanted to kill me, all evening I got nothing but dirty looks from you.”

“When I asked you to wear that dress, I thought we'd be a couple by then. But we weren't and it killed me to watch you wearing it. When I came from the shower this afternoon, you looked gorgeous, but you weren't mine... it was torture. I had thought for sure you wouldn't wear that dress. I reassured myself that I wouldn't see you in that dress when I returned from the bathroom. My hopes fell and I was more hurt than I ever thought possible.” His head dropped as he told me the rest of his words.  “I promised not to ever break your heart. But in the mean time, mine had shattered. I wanted you to feel the same way I did. I wanted you to hurt, to be jealous, to want me. I wanted to see it with my own two eyes. I wanted to make sure it was the truth, that you really did care.... And you did. You tried not to, but I saw it.” His breathing grew strong as his eyes locked on mine. “Then I saw another man's hands on you and I exploded.” I remembered the way he looked at me when he had entered the bedroom. I was busy looking at his edible body, watching his every move as he applied lotion to his body, gelled his hair, but in reality I was also making sure I looked just as desirable. And it killed him. It killed us both.

“We weren't a couple but I still forced myself to stay away from another man. I didn't want to hurt you. But you didn't. Do you know how bad that hurt me to see you with another woman? And not just any woman but  the same woman you were with the night you spent the evening with. She was the girl that kept you from coming home before 3 o'clock. That killed me knowing you were a couple or at least 'fuck buddies'.”  I held my hands as quotes.

“We are not a couple, never have been, never will be. I haven't slept with her or had sex with her if that's what you want to know. I'm not trying to say that she's never tried. She's tried more than any other woman I've ever known. But I couldn't do it.” Davien cupped my chin as his thumbs traced my jaw line. “I met her at CJ's about 5 months ago and that was around the time that I had promised myself to wait for the right girl. I was tired of being the guy who slept with a different girl every night. I've been there, I've done that... way more than I want to admit to. But I needed something new in my life... I needed you.” Davien pinned me again the shower wall and his lips seduced my
entire
body.

His desire to be with me was proof with his actions. We wanted each other. It was obvious. I couldn't stand the thought of watching him with another woman. His tongue trailed from my lips to my ear. He stopped at my ear and nibbled as he whispered sweet comforting words. He moaned with hard pants and his erection grew against me. His tongue traveled to my neck where he slowly dipped up and down as shivers grew on my spine. I pressed my breasts against his body as I begged for more. That only caused him to move his mouth to my bare breasts. His lips attached to my pointed nipples and he watched my faces as his eyes grew wild with seduction.

The man was a God... a temptation God that caused every nerve in my body to burn with desire. My head fell back as I moaned when he lowered his tongue to the deepest dip of my body.

With the smell of fresh coffee brewing, I woke the next morning. I looked around the room for my pajamas. I was completely bare. Gathering my clothes from the drawers, I made my way to the top of the stairs. I caught Davien sitting with Scott at the kitchen table. “Hey beautiful.” Davien pulled his arms out for me to sit on his lap.

With Scott's eyes glued on ours, I lowered myself to kiss Davien's lips. “I warned you once ass wipe. Don't hurt her.” Scott laughed.

“Back off, Bro.” I joked back. “It's gonna take time, but I think we're okay.”

“So when are guys telling Natalia?” Scott asked.

Davien looked at each other. “So is that your way of giving us permission?” Davien questioned as his brows jiggled.

“I think she needs to know. Shit I can't be held responsible for all this crap.” I pushed his arm across the table. “Seriously do you know how many hours of sleep I've lost over someone else's relationship?” It actually was a relief that I could finally tell her. She was my best friend and I needed 'love advice'. I had been holding so much back from her.

“Is she coming over today?” I asked with my hand over my mouth as I yawned and stretched my arms.

Scott looked at the clock over the sink. “She should be here in the next few minutes.”

“So what do we tell her?” I felt like I was leaking a secret to a stranger.

“Good Morning.” Natalia's obnoxious voice squealed through the apartment.

When she entered the kitchen where we sat at the table, Scott announced. “Guess the cat's out the bag. Secret's out of the closet.”

Natalia looked around the room for answers. “What secret? What cat in a fucking bag?” Scott looked at her then nodded his direction towards me as I sat on Davien's lap. “Are you serious? I've known you guys have been fucking for days.”

I stood from Davien's lap. “What?” I exclaimed.

“Oh come on, Avery, you're my best friend and Davien's hot as hell. You're gonna have sex with him some time.” The guys laughed at us. “And um you're sharing a damn bed, what did you think was going to happen?” She was so outspoken she knew how to change the colors of my face within seconds. But she was awesome, she was my backbone.

I showed Natalia my new desk and laptop after Davien finally agreed to allow her in his room. “Damn, it's actually nice down here.”

“Yeah I know. Not what I expected the first time I walked downstairs.”

“His, well your, room is huge girl. Size of my whole dang apartment almost.” His room was enormous. Other than the small basement living room and little bathroom, his bedroom was the size of the entire first floor. It made it much more comfortable since I had to share it with a man that at one time was a complete stranger. “This is awesome.” She looked at the desk and lap top that Davien had bought for me.

“Oh my God girl, the man is amazing. What he can do with his body, holy crap.” I bit my lip as I looked at the bed. She just giggled.

We searched through the internet, laughing at videos on YouTube. “So did you hear about Justin last night?”

“Kinda, not sure. What happened?”

“Guess he beat the crap out of that dude. Davien started punching him, but Justin pulled him off the guy... told him that he needed to check on you.” She laughed about the incident, but I was worried, I felt guilty. “Guess Justin finished him off pretty good.”

“Is he okay?”

“Who the guy or Justin?”

“Justin.”

“Oh yeah, Scott said he just has a little cut under his eye. The other guy... ah.. he'll be okay.” She laughed and I remembered when Justin had brought me to the parking lot he had a cut under his eye, but the rest of his body didn't have a scratch on him.

“Guess I need to call Justin and thank him.”

The rest of the weekend flew by. Many hours of cuddling with Davien. It felt good to be free, open to the public about our feelings towards each other. We spent most of Sunday with Davien laying on the couch, Scott's couch actually, and I laid in front of him as we watched TV.

I wasn't happy when Monday morning came around and I had to return back to class and Davien back to work. Our weekends had been special with each other. It just felt right, it felt like we had been doing it for years.

Monday morning I was dragging as I threw a hoodie over my messy ponytail and slung my backpack over my shoulder. Yawning, I drove my little Malibu to class. I couldn't help but to think about Davien. He was everything I needed and he was mine. All mine and every time I thought of his body or heard his voice, all of my worries washed away. That perfect voice that could make a woman made of steel still melt.

I pulled my heavy body from the car and pushed myself to my first class. I sat in the top row, hoping not to be noticed with my messy hair and grungy clothes. When the instructor arrived in front of the class, he squint his eyes as he searched over the class quietly. Everyone was gossiping about the weekend and comparing events with each other. I sat alone as I waited for class to begin.  The instructor stepped to the side of the room and crooked his finger when he spot me. I walked the long steps down to his level “Miss Addison? Ms. Lee from the Administration building would like to speak with you.” I looked at him with question. “I'm sorry, Avery, but you'll need to go now.”
