His
fingers bit into her hips as he began to move, his pace domineering and
ruthless as he pounded deeper and deeper into her tight cavern.

Clenching
her hands, she was sure there would be blood from her nails digging into the
center of the palm without the safety ball. All she could do was take
everything he gave unless she was willing to drop the ball to end it. That was
never going to happen. She needed this too much. Far more than she’d ever
realized.

Barely
hanging onto the very edge of sanity, she could feel the orgasm building deep
in her core. It was so overwhelmingly intense it was actually painful.

Connor
bellowed loudly, “Do you need to come, Sydney?
Do you
?”

She
wasn't sure, but she swore she could almost hear the desperation in his voice.
Unsure why, tears began to pour like a running faucet from her eyes
as she nodded frantically.
She was falling apart, unraveling at
lightning speed.

The
chain shifted when he gripped the clamp fastened to her sore clit and tugged it
tighter. Her scream lodged in her throat, choking her momentarily. His strokes
were erratic and wild now, tearing her apart, and she loved every single second
of it. She shook roughly from holding back the orgasm begging to take over her.

He
roared, “Come now!”

He
yanked the clamp from her clit, and she shattered.

Convulsing
in the restraints of the stockade, her legs buckled, but he held her tight,
wrapping one arm around her waist as her release thundered through her. Her
mind was gone. She was floating outside of herself in a euphoric bliss-filled
high, barely hearing his growl as his release claimed him.

When
she finally came to, however long it was, he had the stockade and her ankles
unlocked,
the

chains
gone. He lifted the lid.

“Come on, baby, I need you to lift up for me.”

His words took forever to sink in. She
reluctantly lifted her heavy head. Free of the opening, her still trembling
body gave out, unable to bear her weight. Sagging back against his strong
chest, a sigh escaped as the leather straps of the gag fell, freeing her tense,
aching jaw. Rolling her jaw around to work out some of the stiffness, the
tingles lessened.

He
carefully lifted her into his arms, kissing her forehead as she settled against
his chest. It felt right as he murmured his sweet praises while carrying her
through the clapping crowd to an empty room.

Once
they got into the private room, he laid her down, situating her in the middle
of the oversized four-poster bed that took up most of the room. Watching him
through the euphoric haze still surrounding her, she saw him go into the
adjacent bathroom. She vaguely heard the running water. Connor walked back into
the room after however long he was in there to sit down on the side of the bed
beside her. Cool washcloth in hand, he made quick work of cleaning her sweat-slicked
body. Heavy perspiration covered most of her sated limbs.

Parting
her legs with his free hand, he ran the moist cloth up and down her tender
folds. Shivering at the touch, she hissed as he held her open, continuing his
thorough cleansing.

He
tossed the washcloth on the floor when he was satisfied with his efforts, slipping
in bed with her. Rolling her limp body over toward him, he cradled her in his
strong arms.
Syd
snuggled into his embrace, reveling
in his warmth as her body continued to relax. Her eyes slowly began to close,
her energy depleted.

“You
were beautiful, absolutely beautiful,” he praised softly, kissing her temple. That
was the last thing she remembered as sleep took her under.

Blinking
a few times, Connor opened his eyes and was met with almost total darkness. The
only exception was a small shimmer of light that peeked from beneath one of the
doors to the room. Wiping away the sleep from his eyes, yawning, he went to
move and was unable to. Resting curled up on his forearm was a disheveled pile
of thick, wavy, auburn hair...Sydney's hair.

He
must have fallen asleep holding her and she had allowed him to do so, which he
knew to be rare for her. Connor had observed many of
Syd’s
scenes closely, ensuring everything that happened was consensual and safe. Who
was he kidding? He made sure he was present, hiding in the shadows, because he
could never keep his eyes off the compelling beauty. She flourished under
command, submitting with such elegance. Once the scene was finished,
Syd
was always attended to. No matter what happened, the
submissives
in the club were given the proper after care. If
the Dom was unwilling or unable to provide it, there was always another to
offer the services required.

Sydney
was always well cared for, but when she returned to the right state of mind and
was coherent enough to stay on her own, she always collected her belongings,
cleaned herself up, and left promptly. Never had she shared a bed with any of
the
Doms
she worked with. She stayed in their company
no more than an hour or so before she was ready to run. But here she was, fast
asleep next to him, curled up in his embrace.
Heaven.

Chapter Four

After
waking up the following morning utterly content,
Syd
rushed home to prepare for work, happier than she had been in a long time. Gathering
up all the files needed for the life-changing meeting happening in less than an
hour, she piled everything in her lucky messenger bag. That lucky bag was given
to her as a graduation gift from her father the day she finished college and
was one of her cherished possessions.

Blinking
back the tears that threatened to spill and smudge her mascara beyond repair,
she pushed away the memory. It had been a few years since his passing—due to
prostate cancer that was diagnosed too late—but it was still a fresh wound to
her heart. A daddy’s girl to the core, it still rubbed her raw thinking about
the only man in her life that had ever truly mattered to her. She missed him
terribly and always would.

Shaking
off the unwanted melancholy,
Syd
finished packing the
bag, snapping the worn silver buckle in place to hold it closed. As ready as
she would ever be, she locked up the house and jumped in her new sleek black
Audi. Checking herself in the mirror, she took in a deep breath to calm the
sudden butterflies stirring in her abdomen, and exhaled roughly.

“Alright,
time for your new life to begin, Sydney. You worked so hard to get here, don’t
chicken out now.”

After
her little pep talk to herself, she inserted the key in the ignition and turned
the engine over. Glancing in the rear view mirror, she cautiously inched out of
the driveway. It was now or never, and she was completely prepared, all details
buttoned up in a way that she knew would impress her superiors.

Arriving
at work, she felt as though she’d slammed into a brick wall. The warm glow from
the day was gone, crushed by the unimaginable news she received the moment she
entered the office building. One of her co-workers, Steven Walker, had taken it
upon himself to steal the credit for the project she spent weeks putting
together in hopes of getting the promotion she had wanted for years. Being an
accountant wasn't exactly the most exciting job, but it was something she
excelled at.
Syd
took a lot of pride in her work, and
for that pretentious bastard to stake claim on her efforts and steal the
promotion right from under her was her breaking point.

When
the job stealer—yes, that was his new name, since she was too furious to call
him anything else—walked in her office, she bolted out of her chair, getting
right in his face.

“How
dare you hand in my work as your own?” She poked him in the chest with a
pointed finger, forcing him to take a step back.

Steven
looked over his shoulder, seeking to see if anyone was listening. Turning back
with a grin on his face, he lowered his voice so only she could hear, and
replied, “Thanks for helping me get that promotion, doll.” He winked, stepping
closer into her personal space.
Bastard.
Her fists
clenched and unclenched at her sides as he continued. “Now we both know all I
had to do was command you to give it to me anyway and you would have dropped
down on those knees of yours and handed it over. I just saved you a step.”

Her
mouth actually dropped open at his bold words. He knew. How the hell did he
know she was a submissive? She rarely spoke to anyone in the office other than
her best friend, Tonya, who was also a submissive. She knew Tonya would never
have said anything regarding such a personal and private a topic to anyone. Her
best friend was also very protective about her personal life, and wanted to
keep that aspect of it out of office gossip as much as
Syd
did, maybe even more.
Syd
decided to play dumb to
draw out in detail what he thought he knew. “What are you talking about?” she
asked.

There
were only a few inches separating them. “I've seen you at Paradise.”

Her
heart sank in a rush, settling in her stomach. Shuffling through her memories,
she couldn't recall ever seeing him in a scene or roaming around the various
areas that members frequented.

“I
can see that mind of yours working overtime right now, pet. I normally like to
play in the private quarters, but there have been a few occasions where I’ve
ventured out into the open areas and enjoyed seeing you during one of your
public sessions.” He ran the back of his hands over the front of her shirt,
skimming over one of her unexpectedly hard nipples.

Sucking
in a shaky breath, she was completely mortified. Not at the fact that he
apparently was a Dom there, but that he had known this entire time what her
extracurricular activities were and what type of lifestyle she led.
So much for keeping her personal life out of the office.
“How
long have you known?” she managed to ask, only a decibel or two above a whisper.

“Hmm, how long?”
He tapped his
chin in mock thought. “I've known you were a member for about three or four
months now. And since you have so graciously helped me in getting that
promotion, I would say it's time you allow me to be your Dom and join me in my
private room from now on.” Bending his six-foot-plus frame down, his face was
so close to hers a piece of paper was the only thing that could fit between
them. “And I think we will start tonight. Do you understand, pet?”

He leaned in to kiss her, and she snapped. Pushing
him back to get enough room to move, she lifted her tightly clenched hand up and
swung it forward, connecting with the arrogant bastard's cheek.

Grabbing
his jaw, Steven stumbled back a few steps until he caught his balance. As he looked
up at her, the shock of what she had just done to him was written all over his
face.

“Let
me tell you something, you egotistical prick. I will be going to the management
board of the company with all the proof that it was me who did the work on that
project, not you.” She walked over to her desk to grab her purse off the side
table. “And in the club, I choose who I will submit to. You see this?” She
pointed to her bare neck. “No collar. I'm not yours and never will be. I'm not
anyone's, so don't for one minute think you can tell me what to do or place any
demands on me.
Ever!”
Stepping around him, she
snatched her jacket off of the back of the door. The look he had on his face
was priceless as she opened the door wide enough for her to step through. “And
if you try that shit again, I will let Master Connor know, and I'm sure he will
personally see to it that a bully like you is thrown out on your ass.”

With
that, she walked out the door, closing it behind her, not even bothering to
look back. The only thought on her mind was getting in touch with the board
members to let them know what the thieving bastard had done and to prove to
them it was she who had done the work and deserved the promotion. No more shy
mouse in the office.

Chapter Five

Ecstatic
didn’t even begin to cover how she felt. After tracking down every single
member of her firm’s Board of Directors, she explained the unfortunate events
that came to light that morning. Her co-worker’s betrayal and thievery of work
was clearly outlined and easily proven. After she handed over all post-dated
emails and documents printed from her computer, they had all the evidence
needed to terminate the bastard, effective immediately.

He
was escorted from the property by a pair of security guards, and the icy,
bitter look he cast her way as he passed her in the hall normally would have
made her cower, but his actions hardened her resolve. In return, she smirked,
wiggling her fingers.

Finishing the remainder of her day by moving
her personal belongings to the new office she was assigned to, she clocked out,
ready to get on with her evening. It was Friday night and all her plans
involved basking in Paradise.
