I rouse, feeling Leandro’s warm solid body wrapped around me. With the sun on my face, I feel an ache between my legs, which can only come from having amazing sex.

Hang on.
I can feel the sun on my face.
What time is it?

My eyes flash open to see the dawn light shining through his open blinds that he never got around to closing. I scan for a clock and see one on his bedside table. It’s six a.m.

“Shit!” I sit up, Leandro’s arm still banded around me. “We fell asleep.” I shake his shoulder. “I have to go.”

“Hmm…what?” He blinks those beautiful eyes of his open, not loosening his hold on me.

I tug on his arm. “You need to let me up. We fell asleep. I have to get home.”

My heart is thudding in my chest. It’s early, so Jett will still be sleeping, but I can’t believe I fell asleep.

Worst mother ever!

Out of bed, I run around his room, pick up my clothes, and dress as I go.

I catch sight of him, and he’s sitting up in bed, watching me with amusement.

“What?” I say.

“Nothing. You look beautiful.”

“I look terrible.” I run a hand over my messed up hair.

He gets out of bed and comes over to me. He’s still naked and so hot. “Beautiful.” He softly kisses me.

“So are you. And you’re seriously tempting while you’re pressed up against me in the buff…but I’ve got to go,” I grumble against his lips.

He gives a low chuckle, and I feel it rumble through his chest to mine. “You can go, as long as you let me see you tonight. I want to take my girl out on a date.”

I tilt my head back, looking into his eyes. “Sounds wonderful.”

“It will be.” He kisses me again. Hand cupping the back of my head, he slips his tongue in my mouth. His other hand finds my bum and squeezes, pressing his morning wood against my hip.

Another few minutes wouldn’t hurt, would it? We could—

No, I have to go.

I give an internal groan and say again, “I really need to go.”

He lets out a groan of disappointment. “Fine. Go,” he says good-naturedly, then, slaps my behind with his hand, as he releases me.

I gather up my shoes and handbag and make my way downstairs. Leandro is soon behind me, now wearing a pair of boxer shorts.

Shame. I like him naked.

When I’m by the front door, I slip my feet into my shoes. “I’m going to tell Jett about us today.”

“Good.”

“He’ll be fine, of course, because…well, you’re
you
.” I gesture at him.

He chuckles. “Jett has got good taste, like his mother.”

Smiling, I shake my head at him. “I was thinking it might be good for him to spend some time around you. Maybe dinner at our place one night this week? Then, you can meet Kit, too.”

“Sounds great.” He leans in and kisses me again, threading his fingers through my hair.

I find myself pressed up against the door as the kiss quickly turns heated.

“You really have to go right now?” he breathes against my lips.

“I really have to go,” I say wistfully.

He takes a deep breath and steps back from me. Dark eyes bore into mine. “Tonight, you are mine. I am taking you out, and then, later I am bringing you back here and fucking you until neither of us can walk.”

Excitement ripples low in my belly. “Can’t wait.” I reach back for the handle and pull the door open.

“I will pick you up at seven thirty.”

“What should I wear?”

“As little as possible.”

Laughing, I step out the door. “And by that, you mean, no underwear, right?” I give him a sexy look, lifting my eyebrow.

“That is definitely what I mean.” He leans against the doorframe, arms folded over that amazing chest of his.

He watches me get in my car, and he lifts a hand as I pull away. I blow him a kiss.

I really hate leaving him, but I’m a mother first and foremost—and currently failing by falling asleep. I can’t believe I did that. I guess that shows how much Leandro wore me out and how comfortable I feel with him.

God, the sex. I’ve never had sex like it before.

Maybe this is what it’s like to have sex with someone you love, but I think a lot has to do with him. The man is a god in bed.

I’m making good time getting home as the roads are quiet with it being so early. Fifteen minutes later, I’m pulling into my driveway. Turning the engine off, I get out and ease my car door shut.

I quietly unlock the front door before letting myself in. The house is silent. Everyone’s still sleeping.

Thank God.

I put my bag down in the hall and head to the kitchen to make some coffee. Then, I’m going to take a shower. I smell like sex. And Leandro.

I momentarily considering revising the shower, as I like smelling like Leandro, but I’m not that gross.

I walk into the kitchen and nearly have a heart attack when I see Jett sitting at the table, eating cereal and looking at his phone.

“What are you doing up?” I choke out the words.

His eyes lift to me. I watch him take in my appearance. “Why are you wearing the same clothes you were wearing yesterday? Did you just get home?” His brows rise in question.

“N-no, I-I, um…I…”

“Mum, are you stuttering?”

“No,” I fire out defensively. “I’m wearing yesterday’s clothes because…”
Shit! Why can’t I lie on the spot?
“Because I really like this shirt.”

“Okay…well, just so you know, your favorite shirt is buttoned up wrong.”

“What?” I look down to see that I did indeed button up my shirt incorrectly in in my haste to leave Leandro’s house. I start redoing the buttons correctly.

“So, you stayed at Leandro’s last night?”

My face floods with embarrassment. “Yes. No! I mean, no.” God, I hate it when he fires a question at me when I’m distracted.

“You know, Mum, lying to your only son is a terrible thing to do. I’m pretty sure that lies between a mother and child are the beginning of a potential downfall. I mean, you lie, and I could feel hurt and rejected. I might rebel. Start hanging out with the wrong kind of people. Smoke. Do drugs. Who knows where it’ll end?”

Shaking my head, fighting a smile, I sit down in the chair opposite him. “Nicely played. When did you get this smart?”

“I’ve always been this smart. I learned from my super smart, very pretty mama.”

“You’re on a roll this morning.” I laugh, feeling scarily impressed. “Okay, truth. I was going to speak to you today, but I guess now is as good a time as any. Yes, I was with Leandro last night, and I’m sorry I lied and said I wasn’t.”

“I freaking knew it! So, is he your boyfriend? How long has this been going on? Does this mean I can go to the Prix whenever I want?”

“Whoa. Slow down there.” I lift a hand, halting his rapid-fire questions. “First, let me apologize. I went to Leandro’s to talk last night. And after talking, I was tired, and I fell asleep. I’m sorry I stayed out all night because I shouldn’t have.” I had to white lie a little then because there is no way I am telling my twelve-year-old son that Leandro and I had sex, and that’s why I fell asleep. Hell will freeze over first before that happens.

“Uncle Kit was here, it’s no big deal. It’s not like I was alone.”

“I know, and you never would be. But it’s not something I do, staying out. And in the future, if I plan on staying out all night, you will know beforehand. Okay?”

“Okay.” He digs his spoon into his cereal, puts it in his mouth, and starts crunching.

“And to answer your other question, yes, Leandro and I are together.”

“Awesome! So, can I get more tickets to the Prix?”

Smiling, I shake my head. Got to love my kid’s priorities, and tenacity.

“Depending on where, because we’re talking about overseas here, but I’m sure Leandro would get you tickets to go, so long as it’s not in school time and I can afford the time off work to take you. He has actually invited us to Hungary.” I hear the words leaving my mouth before I properly think them through. Even though this would be an amazing trip, I was going to hang off on telling Jett for a little while.

“You being serious?”

“Hmm.” I press my lips together, hating my big mouth.

“Oh my God, this is awesome! It’s going to be amazing! Do you think he will let us watch from the garage?”

“Um, I don’t know. Maybe.”

“I’m sure he will. Oh my god, it’s gonna be fantastic! Freaking Hungary! I cannot wait to tell my friends!”

“Okay, well, let’s not get too excited.”

“Why wouldn’t I?” His brow furrows in confusion.

“I don’t know.” I shrug helplessly. So, I opt for a subject change. “Anyway, why are you up so early?”

A sly grin appears on his face. “I wanted to catch you coming in.”

My jaw drops open. “You knew I was out last night?”

“Of course I knew. I heard you and Uncle Kit talking in here last night. I have ears like a bat. And for future reference, I can pretty much hear everything you and Uncle Kit talk about in this kitchen.” He points his finger up to the ceiling. “Your voices carry straight up to my room.”

“Oh God,” I groan. Putting my arms on the table, I drop my head into them, thinking of the conversations I’ve had with Kit recently.

I hear Jett laugh, and then get up from the table. A few seconds later, he pats my shoulder with his hand. I lift my head to look up at him.

“I’m glad you’re happy, Mum. And not that you’re not pretty because, of course, you are, but seriously well done for scoring a Formula One driver. I couldn’t be prouder. Overnight, you’ve just made me the most popular kid in school. All I need now is for Uncle Kit to bring home a Victoria’s Secret model, and my life will be set. You want me to make you a coffee?”

“Um, who are you and what have you done with my baby boy?” I stare at him in shock.

“Your baby boy is almost a teenager.”

“Ugh, don’t I know it?” I grumble, dropping my head back down again. “And that’s a yes to the coffee.”

“I’ll make you it now.” He chuckles.

SO, WHERE ARE WE GOING
?”

I just picked India up for our date, and we are on our way after some serious scrutiny from her brother, Kit, who seems like a good guy, and also some words from Jett—mainly that, even though he thinks I am awesome and I am rich and famous, if I hurt his mother in any way, he will kick my ass. He said he has never met anyone his mother has dated before, so him knowing about me is a big thing for her, and that must mean she likes me a lot. I assured him that I like his mother a lot, too.

I am crazy about her.

I missed her like crazy when she left my place this morning. Afterward, I went back up to bed. All I could smell on my sheets and pillows was her. It just made me wish even more that she were still there, so I could bury myself deep inside her again.

I have never felt so lost yet so completely fucking found than I do when I’m inside her.

Being with India is where I was always meant to be. Inside her and beside her.

I always used to wonder what being in love meant, what it would feel like. Now, I know.

“I thought you would want low-key, and I want privacy with you. So, I’m taking you to dinner at my restaurant.”

“You have a restaurant?”

I note the surprise in her voice.
