Chapter
Five:

An
Evening with the Alien

Deidre
followed Cronus into his sky-apartment with a large grin on her face. She had
not had so much fun on a date since she was a teenager. Cronus had really gone
out of his way to make her feel comfortable, which was not something anyone had
ever done for Deidre. It meant a lot to her. He really wanted to make her feel
special.

“Would
you like a beer or anything?” Cronus asked.

“Sure,”
Deidre said with a smile. “Thanks.”

“CAMI,
can you get Deidre a beer?” he called.

The
robot buzzed into the room and opened the refrigerator. Cronus smiled at Deidre
and beckoned her towards his hover-sofa with him. She smiled and sat down
beside him, her cheeks becoming the palest shade of pink. He lightly pressed
his lips to hers and she grinned.

“I
can't believe you ate more General Tso's chicken than I did,” he muttered.

Deidre
began to laugh and nodded.

“Yeah,
I come from a long line of eaters,” she said.

“Forbadians
have two stomachs, though!” Cronus said, chuckling. He shook his head and
murmured, “You're gonna fit a beer in there, too. I admire it. I wish I could
enjoy food like that.”

“Are
you calling me fat?” Deidre asked, raising an eyebrow as she accepted the beer
from CAMI. “You really sound like you're calling me fat.”

Cronus's
eyes widened.

“God
no!” he exclaimed. “You're perfect! I just was genuinely impressed by your
chicken-eating skills.”

The two
of them laughed together.

“Thanks,”
Deidre said, blushing. She then peered at CAMI out of the corner of her eye and
whispered to Cronus, “Do you think you could get her outta here?”

Cronus
snapped his fingers.

“CAMI!
Why don't you go play that game you were playing for a while?” he suggested.

“Yes,
sir. I will play my game, so you can try to actually get some for once, sir,”
the robot said, rolling away into the other room.

Deidre
snickered as Cronus blushed and scowled.

“Damn
robot,” he murmured. He then frowned and said, “When do you have to be back to
work for your next flight?”

Deidre
smiled.

“Why?
Trying to see how much time you have to get some?” she asked, raising an
eyebrow.

Cronus
scratched the back of his neck, bashfully.

“No!
Nothing like that! I mean, I wouldn't mind, I mean—”

“Shh,”
Deidre said before pressing her lips to his.

Cronus
moaned as he felt her soft lips touch his own, and he could not help but run his
strong hands up her sides. Deidre groaned and straddled his lap. It was
becoming quite clear to him why she wanted CAMI out of the room. He was
entirely content with her intentions.

Deidre
began unbuttoning Cronus's trousers, lightly brushing against his ribbed
manhood through the fabric. Cronus groaned.

“My
sweet nebulette, how long can you stay?” he breathed. “I want to do this
right.”

Deidre
smiled as she pulled his pants down and ran her fingers across his pale member.
He moaned at her touch.

“My flight
got a two hour delay, so I have a whole four hours,” she whispered, stroking
his manhood.

Cronus
smirked.

“Oh
really?” he asked, cocking a brow. “I think you should let me take care of you,
though. You look like you need to be taken care of.”

Deidre
raised an eyebrow.

“What
do you mean?” she asked.

He
pulled at her top and murmured, “I want to make you feel good, starling.”

Deidre
blushed and nodded.

“Okay,”
she whispered, tugging off her top.

“You'll
need to take that off too,” he muttered, gesturing towards her skirt.

Deidre
kicked off her skirt as well, exposing her full breasts and lace panties.
Cronus's member stiffened and Deidre bit her lip, running her hand across his
thigh and to his loins.

“So,
what exactly do you mean by making me feel good?” she whispered, chewing on her
plump lower lip.

Cronus
pushed her blue hair behind her ear and murmured, “Take off your panties and
I'll show you.”

Deidre
tugged her panties from her hips and tossed them across the room. Cronus
grinned and ran his hand up her body. He let his fingertips dance across her
full, puckered nipples and down to her exposed exterior pleasure zone. He
rubbed the spot between her legs and Deidre's eyes widened. She tossed her head
back, sending her blue hair in a splay across the pillow. Cronus smirked and
quietly pressed his tongue against her pleasure zone. Deidre let out a scream
as he continued to tongue her warmth and pet her outsides. She clutched his
head against her thighs and ran her fingers through his thick blonde hair. His beard
tickled her inner thighs and she giggled.

“I just
want you already!” she begged.

Cronus
smiled and pulled away from her womanhood. He kissed his way up her body and
sunk his lips into her neck as he slowly guided his manhood between her legs.
He entered her, and she gasped, sinking her blue genetically-modified nails
into his spine.

“Oh my
God!” Deidre screamed, wrapping her legs around Cronus's waist.

“You
feel amazing, nebulette,” Cronus whispered, moving in and out of Deidre's
depths. “What do you want, baby?”

“Deeper,”
she whimpered.

Cronus
pushed himself into her deeper and thrust his hips against hers. Deidre's eyes
widened and she screamed out in pleasure, clawing the gel-pillow beneath her.
Cronus's ribbed manhood found her inner pleasure spot and her eyes rolled back
into her head as a moan fell from her plump lips.

“Oh,
Cronus!” she moaned.

“Deidre,”
he whispered. “I love you.”

“I love
you!” she screamed, tightening her legs around his waist.

Cronus
shifted his hips and thrust into her faster. Deidre felt his member stiffen
inside of her and her eyes widened. Her womanhood flexed around him and she
groaned.

“I'm
getting close,” she whispered.

“Me
too,” he breathed. “Together, starling.”

His
thrusts became faster and sloppier, and then, they climaxed together, landing
beside one another on the couch in a sweaty mess. Cronus kissed Deidre's
forehead.

“So,
what would you like to do for the next few hours?” he asked.

“Nap,”
she murmured.

Cronus
chuckled and kissed her cheek.

“Whatever
you want, starling.”

Chapter
Six:

Battle
Scars

Deidre
felt something kick her legs in her sleep and she jerked to her wake. She
furrowed her brow and saw that Cronus was tossing and turning in his sleep.
Deidre frowned and shook him until his eyes opened. He rolled off the bed and
shouted some sort of war cry that she did not understand. All of a sudden, she
realized what was happening. He was suffering from his mental battle scars. She
had heard of the phenomenon many times.

“Cronus!”
she hissed, peering over the edge of the hover-sofa. “Cronus, are you okay?
Dear?”

Cronus
blinked a few times and then looked up at her, frowning.

“Deidre?”
he asked, confusedly. “I thought you were—for a second it seemed like—”

“I
know,” she whispered, sadly. “Come here. We'll talk about it.”

Cronus
pulled himself onto the hover-sofa and wiped some sweat from his brow. He
covered his manhood with a throw blanket and sighed.

“When I
was at war, I was tortured for over forty-seven days. Sometimes, I just feel
like I'm there again. It's something I don't know that I will ever escape, but
I would like to think you are the only person that could help me escape it, if
I ever could,” Cronus explained. He scratched the back of his neck and
continued, “They would zap me with their Lightning Blades. That's why I have
all of these scars on my chest and abdomen.”

He
gestured a number of violet-colored scars all over his body. Deidre lightly ran
her fingers over the scars and then brushed her lips against them. Cronus
smiled and brushed her hair with his fingers.

“I
don't mind if you have a few battle scars,” she murmured. “I'm just glad that
we got to know each other. You're a really special man, and I want to keep
spending time with you.”

Cronus
smiled and pecked her lips.

“I'd
like to keep spending time with you too.”

Deidre
chewed on her lip and looked up at the muscular alien. She thought for a moment
and narrowed her eyes before deciding she wanted to ask him the question she
was pondering on.

“Can I
ask you something?” she inquired, raising a blue eyebrow.

“Go
ahead,” Cronus murmured. “Ask away, starling.”

“Okay,”
Deidre replied, still chewing on her lip. “Do you think that you need some sort
of medicinal help or anything like that? I mean, I just worry about how
difficult that must be for you. You have to live with these hallucinations, and
they seem horrific. Have you ever thought about getting help?”

Cronus
gave her a small smile and sighed.

“I've
gotten help a few times. I didn't seem to learn very much and the medications
they put me on just made me feel worse. I don't know what I'm supposed to do
short of getting my brain rewired, but we both know that's a pretty expensive
practice,” he murmured. “I think that, if I could just spend time with you,
I'll get better. I really do.”

“How
can you be so sure, though?” Deidre asked, frowning. “Should you really take a
gamble on something as serious as your mental health? I worry about you. I
genuinely care about you, and I want you to be as healthy as you can possibly
be. I don't know if I can see you acting that way again. How often do you have
these night terrors?”

Cronus
sighed and kissed her cheek.

“You're
the only drug I need, my starling. Trust me. I will get better.”

*****

Several
weeks passed and Deidre noticed that Cronus's hallucinations did not seem to
decrease in any way. She spent every night with the Forbadian, hoping that he
would sleep soundly throughout the night. Unfortunately, he never did. Every
night, she woke up to a crying, screaming, kicking, shouting alien in bed
beside her. She desperately wanted him to get help, but she did not want to
offend him either. Only out of her concern for his safety did she decide to
speak up regarding his hallucinations.

“Cronus,
I think we need to talk,” Deidre said, chewing on her lip.

“About
what?” Cronus asked, smiling at her as he folded a towel. “Do you like the
towels when I fold them like this—” He showed her a narrow fold and then
switched it to a wide fold. “—or like this?”

“Cronus,
I'm trying to be serious!” Deidre whined, stomping her foot. “I really want to
talk to you about something and it's serious, okay? I have to go to work soon,
and I want to talk about it before I have to go.”

“Okay,
okay,” he said, nodding. “What do you want to talk about, nebulette? What's
bothering you?”

Deidre
sighed and tapped her fingers against the bathroom counter as Cronus set some
towels on a bathroom shelf and peered at her through the mirror.

“Well,
I wanted to talk to you about your hallucinations,” Deidre said, quietly.

“Oh,
not that again!” Cronus scowled. “I don't want you to worry about it! I'm going
to be just fine, Deidre. I don't want you to worry about me. You shouldn't have
to do that.
I'm
supposed to take care of
you
.”

“Is
that what this is all about?” Deidre asked, crossing her arms and frowning.

“Not
exactly,” he said, scratching the back of his neck. “I just don't want you to
feel like I'm failing you as a mate, starling. You're special, and you deserve
someone that can treat you right.”

Deidre
gave him a small smile and took his gangly hand in her small human hand.

“You
deserve someone that can treat you right too,” she whispered. “That's why I
want you to get the help that you need.”

Cronus
turned and looked into her bright eyes. His eyes began to water and he sighed.

“I
don't want to be away from you for that long, my starling,” he whispered,
wringing his hands together. “I know that I need the help, but I don't want to
lose you. If I have to go, I'm going to lose you. A woman as beautiful as
yourself wouldn't stick around for me.”

He hung
his head low and a tear fell down Deidre's face.

“Is
that what you think?” she whispered. “Cronus, you're the only one I ever want.
I love you. That's why I want you to get the help you need. I want to be here
to enjoy life with you when you finish your therapy. I want to hold your hand
and reassure you that you're safe. What's a nebulette without a nebula?”

She
gave him a grin and Cronus smiled back at her. He then chewed on his lip and
fumbled around in his pants pocket. Deidre furrowed her brow.

“What
are you doing?” she asked.

Cronus
continued to fish around in his pocket as he said, “There's something I've been
wanting to do. I suppose now is my best chance.”

“Well,
what is it?”

Deidre
crossed her arms and waited. Suddenly, Cronus pulled a box from his pants
pocket and got to one knee. Deidre's eyes widened. She was speechless.

“Deidre,”
he whispered, opening the box and exposing an exquisite moon diamond, “Will you
marry me?”

Tears
of joy ran down Deidre's face and she threw her arms around Cronus's neck.

“Yes!”
she shouted. “Yes! Yes! Yes!”

He
grinned and held her close to his chest.

“As
soon as I'm better, we can start a life together. I love you, starling.”
