It was all he needed to hear, and even though he hadn’t planned to say the words, he knew that he meant them, utterly and completely.

They sat for a while, Megan hitching a breath if she moved; her bottom more sore than it had ever been.

Incredibly, even though it hurt like hell, she realized just how submissive she must be, because, right or wrong, she was glad he had punished her so severely. Her conscience was clear, and she knew she was loved and cherished by the man who held her so securely in his arms.

Jacob let his hands play with her breasts, teasing and pulling gently on her nipples until she let out a little moan, his attentions sending shocks of pleasure that found their way straight to her core.

Suddenly, her stomach gave a groan of hunger, and they both laughed.

“Wow, that was sexy,” Megan said. “I’m sorry.”

Jacob lifted her off his lap and set her on the sofa next to him. He gave her one of his wicked grins. “Much as I’d like to tie your body up so you can’t move at all, and then fuck that pretty pussy of yours, I’m afraid I have a duty to feed my sub, if she’s hungry. Please tell me there’s somewhere to pick up food, not far from here.”

Thankfully, there was a Chinese place, only a couple of miles away, and Megan gave him directions.

When she went to pick up her clothes from the armchair, he smacked her lightly on the behind. Even lightly was too much, and she let out a yelp.

Jacob chuckled, and she resisted the urge to smack him, which would, she knew, come off a lot worse for her than it would for him.

“You won’t be requiring any clothes for the rest of the night, sub. While I go out and pick up some food, you will have a shower, warm some plates in the oven, and be waiting, naked, right here when I get back.”

She let the clothes drop back on the seat of the chair. “Yes, Sir,” she said. Just the anticipation of what was to come made her pussy damp.

Megan gave him her keys so he could let himself in when he got back, and then went to shut the windows. The temperature had dropped significantly, and she shivered while she watched Jacob’s car moving off down the road.

After turning up the heat in the house, she switched the oven on to low, and put a couple of plates in to warm up.

In the bathroom, she turned, to examine her bottom in the large mirror above the sink. The skin was a deep red color, and wide welts from the leather crisscrossed from one cheek to the other.

When she ran a hand over the tops of her thighs, she winced, the pain much more apparent. But on the inside, there was only relief in the knowledge that she had taken her punishment and earned forgiveness.

She stepped into the shower, and cursed when the water hit her punished skin. But she persevered, soaping herself thoroughly and waking up the rest of her tired body.

After she was dry, she wrapped a towel around herself and padded down the hallway to her bedroom to find a tee shirt she could put on until she heard Jacob’s car outside. Then, she would pull it off, and wait, in the living room, just as her Dom had instructed.

Rummaging through the chest of drawers in her room, she heard a noise behind her and spun around.

Carl stood in the doorway, a big grin on his face. “Well, look whose back in town. What a pleasant surprise. I came here to collect the rest of my stuff, and instead of finding that miserable bitch here, ready to start on me again, I find her daughter, all warm and naked, under her bath towel. Aren’t I just the luckiest guy?”

Megan stood, frozen to the spot, her pulse racing, and a feeling of dread pulsing through her body. The last time he had come into her bedroom, like this, Nicky had saved her by arriving in the driveway. “
Please,

she thought to herself,
“please pull into the driveway, Jacob.”

Maybe she could stall for time. “You wouldn’t have found my mom here, Carl. She’s in the hospital.”

He sneered. “What? Did someone finally give her what she deserved just to stop her fucking whining and complaining?”

Anger spiraled up inside her. “No,
Carl
, she had a car accident after she left the hotel where you and your girlfriend were staying.”

Carl looked surprised, and then gave a nonchalant shrug. “No business of mine, anymore.”

Megan couldn’t think of a time when she’d hated him more.

“Hey, Rick, get in here, I got a surprise for you.”

Megan’s heart sank. There was another one? She might have been able to put up a fight if it had been just Carl, but when a short, muscular man appeared next to him, she knew that unless help arrived, this was not going to end well.

Rick’s eyes widened as he took in the woman standing there in a towel. “I hope you were taught how to share,” he said, and when Megan instinctively took a step back, they both laughed.

She could smell liquor on them, and when they moved towards her, she shrank back, until her claves hit the bed. “Carl, please don’t do this,” she said, shaking her head. “You have a girlfriend, and she’d be upset if she knew you were here.”

He chuckled. “Oh, I have girlfriends all over town, baby, but right now, all I’m interested in is you.”

He lurched forward, and ripped the towel from her body, then let his eyes travel the length of her; his friend doing the same while she tried to cover herself with her hands.

“We’re going to have us a real good time here,” Rick said, moving forward.

The two of them closed in on her.

When a car pulled up in the driveway, Megan could have wept, with relief.

Carl and Rick glanced at each other. “Who the fuck is that?” Carl asked, his arm coming out and grabbing Megan’s in a vice-like grip.

Megan winced. “I don’t know, it’s probably Nicky; she said she might come over. Please, Carl, if you leave now, I won’t say anything about this, I promise. Please, just leave.”

There was desperation in her voice. Jacob would walk in the door at any second, and there were two of them. He wouldn’t have a chance.

“If you go out the back way, she’ll never know you were here,” Megan said quickly.

“You think I’m afraid of a little slut like her?” Carl replied. “Rick, go and see who it is,” he said. “If it’s her little friend, then invite her in. The more the merrier, right?”

“Don’t you start without me,” Rick replied with a grin, and then walked off down the hallway.

Jacob took in the car parked on the street outside the house. It wasn’t in the driveway, so it may not have anything to do with Megan’s house, but all the same, there were no other cars parked out there, so if it was connected with another house, why was it outside this one?

Rick stopped in his tracks, when he heard a key in the lock. Even in his drunken state, he realized that if it was this Nicky chick, she wouldn’t have a key.

The mother was in the hospital. He’d heard that information out in the hallway just a minute ago.

“Megan?” Jacob called out, as he pushed the door open. A fist connected with the side of his face, and he stumbled backwards. It wasn’t hard enough to knock him over, not by a long way, but the front door slammed shut, the glass rattling, and he heard the dead bolt being slid across.

The light in the hallway showed someone hurrying away. Jacob dropped the one bag of food he was still holding, and ran at the door, letting his shoulder connect with it first. The glass smashed, and he took a step back, and kicked in the wooden panel in the middle of the doorframe. Then ran into the house.

This time he was prepared, every nerve on alert, and when the asshole came at him again from the living room, Jacob took him down with a single punch to the gut, sending him sprawling down the hallway. He picked him up, with one hand, and let his fist connect again, this time with the guy’s jaw.

The bastard groaned, in pain, still half bent over from the first punch. When Jacob released him, he almost fell to his knees, but then managed to stumble away, through the gap where the front door had been, and into the darkness.

Jacob tore into the living room, but found it empty. When he threw open the door to a bedroom, however, he stopped short.

Megan stood there, naked and shaking, with another intruder behind her, his arm around her upper chest, holding her, tight, to his body.

The sound of a car starting, and then tires squealing, filled the room.

“It looks like your buddy just deserted you,” Jacob stated, his eyes locked on the tall, lean man. “I’m going to give you about three seconds to let her go.”

“Or
what?”
Carl said, his arm tightening around Megan, his fingers pressing into her skin.

Jacob knew his options were limited if he wanted to keep Megan out of the crossfire. His eyes flickered to her, and she opened her mouth, glancing, just for a second, down at the arm restraining her so tightly.

He gave the tiniest of nods, and she bit down hard, into her captor’s flesh.

“Aggh, you little cunt,” he shouted, shoving her so hard she fell sideways onto the bed.

Jacob lunged at him, and, with a roar, brought him slamming to the ground. The bedside table was shoved back, and fell over, closely followed by a chair, in the struggle that ensued.

Carl managed to get in one blow to his opponent’s head, but Jacob just shook it off, and proceeded to slam his fist into Carl’s body until he lay there, inert, on the floor, groaning, quietly.

Police sirens sounded, outside, and Megan quickly grabbed the long tee shirt she had spotted in her drawer just before Carl had walked in.

“I guess the neighbors must have heard me kicking the door in,” Jacob stated, standing back upright, his fist still clenched.

She had just managed to pull the tee shirt on with trembling fingers when two police officers appeared in her bedroom doorway.

A few minutes later, Carl was being led out of the house in handcuffs, and Jacob and Megan were in the living room, giving their second lot of statements, that day.

The Sergeant raised his eyebrows when Jacob mentioned what had happened, earlier, in Louisville. “You seem to be making a habit of rescuing damsels in distress, Mr. West,” he commented. “Any more of this, and we’ll have to search your car for a winged cape, sir.”

Jacob grinned. “I don’t know about that, I always thought Superman was cooler.”

The sergeant chuckled. “Well, this is a case of pure self-defense as far as I’m concerned.” He turned to Megan. “We’ve already picked up the other man involved, Miss Richards. He ran a stop sign not three miles from here, and then drunkenly proceeded to drop his friend right in it; telling us he never had any intention of actually having sex with you. It was all, the other guy’s idea.”

He shook his head. “I’ve got your details, but I don’t expect we’ll need to see you anymore.”

Another officer appeared in the living room doorway with an elderly man behind him. “This is one of the neighbors, sir. He’s a friend of the family, and says he’s got a piece of wood that should fit in the front door, just for a temporary fix.

“Hello, Mr. Pierce,” Megan said with a smile.

“Hello, Meggie, I saw that idiot Carl arrive and knew he would be up to no good.” He turned to Jacob. “If the police have finished, then you come with me, young man, and we’ll fix that door right up.”

The sergeant gestured that he was done, and Jacob stood up. “Yes, sir,” he said with a grin.

Half an hour later, a large piece of wood had been nailed to the doorframe, making it secure. Jacob thanked Mr. Pierce, and then went back inside, to find his sub.

Megan was in the kitchen, dressed in her jeans and a huge, cream sweater she’d found in her mom’s closet. She had retrieved the bags of food from the driveway, and was busy sharing it out on to the plates that she’d taken out of the oven.

He could see how shaky she was from where he stood in the doorway, and after watching her for a couple of seconds, he walked over, took the spoon from her hand, and hugged her to him, enveloping her in his strong arms till the shaking stopped.

She took a step back, and picked up his hand, seeing the grazes and blood covering the knuckle. Then she reached up and gently turned his head to the side, taking in the cut, and bruising that was already coming out.

“I know there’s a first aid kit around here somewhere,” she said, going to the shelves on the other side of the room and shuffling things around until she found a large white plastic box.

She fussed around him, cleaning the wound above his eye, and gently rubbing antibiotic cream in.

He let her tend to that area, but when she examined his hand again and tried to clean it with hydrogen peroxide; he took her wrists in his and held them still, smiling down at his worried little sub.

“Stop clucking, chicken. I’ve had worse, before this, and if I spend much more time with you, I’ll probably have to deal with worse again. Are there any more skeletons I should be made aware of?” He smiled and winked at her, letting her know he was teasing.

Megan tried to frown at him and tell him off, but she couldn’t. All she wanted was to be held in his safe, strong arms for at least a month until the horrible image of Carl leering at her naked body, and the thoughts of what he might have done, diminished.

She packed up the first aid box and put it away. Then she put the plates back in the oven, to heat up the food, and threw away the foil containers.

Once the food was warm, Jacob settled his sub on the living room couch, and retrieved the plates himself. Then he sat beside her, and fed her small bites, even though she had told him she wasn’t hungry anymore.

When her hand came up and stopped the fork in mid-air, he looked surprised. “You don’t like the food?”

Megan shook her head. “It’s not that, the food’s great. It’s just… I don’t think I’ve thanked you, not properly.”

He put the fork back on the plate and watched her as she got up from the couch and paced the room. Finally, she came to a stop, right in front of him.

“I’ve spent a lot of time, making a whole bunch of really bad choices, one after the other, and now, after meeting you, everything in my life is finally starting to go in the right direction. I know it’s going to sound pretty cheesy, but I don’t know how else to put it—thank you for saving me.”
