Chapter Nine

“Oh, yeah.”  I’m not sure how to express myself.  “Ummm,
okay.  I’m just wondering if you sail.”

“Sail?  You mean sailing a boat?” Scott looks at me.

“Yup,” My heart is hopping like a million bunnies.
Please,
say
yes
.

Scott thinks for a short moment and then shakes his head
slightly.  “Sorry, Judy.  No.” He looks at Fara and me again. “I surf a lot.
Maybe you know…”  He murmurs, “Surfing, sailing, they can be confusing
sometimes.”

Did Fara misunderstand my question? Or did I not pass her
the correct message?  Either way, it doesn’t matter anymore.

I’m sad, but only a little bit.
Yeah, I have been sent
back to this world
all alone
.  It’s not perfect, but at least I know the
fact already.  If life is too perfect, it’s going to be boring.  Right, Judy?

I try to comfort myself.  What can I do?  Unfortunately, I’m
the girl chosen to remember and suffer.  Now I have something to think
of—feeling sad or not.

“Thank you, Scott.” I put up a smile, feeling cold all
over.

“You okay, Judy?”  Fara asks. “Why do you look so… pale?”

“I’m okay.”  I look at her.   Then I turn to Scott.  “Scott,
surfing in this area is not easy, right?”

“How did you know?” Scott’s eyes widen.

“I knew it because Josh’s head hit a big rock in the storm.”
I mumble, seeing what was happening that night.

“Ouch,” Scott drops to the ground and holds his head.

“Scott?” I look at him, really worried.
“Scott, you okay?”  Fara is panicking.

“Oh, my head,” Scott sounds pained.  “Oh, my dream.  That vision
comes back.”

“Josh?” I drop to the ground and hold his arm tight with
both hands.  “Josh, is it you?”  Tears run down my cheeks.

“Stacy?  Stacy Hartnett?  Is it you, Stacy?”  He sits up and
opens his arms.  “Stacy, I knew it was going to happen.  I knew it.”  He holds
me tight.  “You’re back, Stacy.”

“What’s going on?” Fara looks at Scott.
“What’s going on?”  She looks at me.

“Fara,” I smile at her.  “Thank you so much for bringing us
back together.”

“What? Me? What did I do?”  She looks at us, seeing our lips
are coming together.  “Oh, gosh.”  she whispers.  “Muffin, let’s go.”  she says.
Within seconds, they are far away.

I give my Josh a big kiss.  “Josh, is your head still
hurting?”

“No, not anymore.”

“Josh, promise not to leave me again.” I whisper.

“Promise,” He smiles.

“Dumb head?
What’s a dumb head?”  The beast stares at me.

“Look, a dumb head can’t tell a girl from food.”  I don’t
bother to explain any further.

 “You mean… you’re a girl?  My girl?”

The monster looks at the sky. “Ah… huh, huh, huh, I have a
girl.  Now I have a girl.”

He turns to me.
“You know what?  Let’s mate.  Let’s have
kids.  Okay?”

Gosh, what am I going to do now?

Chapter One

Is the Minotaur real, I mean that half bull, half human Greek
legendary monster?  I bet you are shaking your head, right?

Let me tell you: Yes.  It
is
real.  Not only that, I
have been fucked by the monster in its hometown—the beautiful Mediterranean
Crete Island.

In fact, it’s the largest island of Greece and the fifth
largest island in the whole Mediterranean Sea.  It lies at the crossroad of
three continents—Europe, Asia, and Africa.  Pretty interesting, huh?

Okay, so much about the Island.  Let me tell you what
happened between me and that legendary monster.  My sexual experience is
totally unexpected but, well, please read on and find out…

I’m busy working.  As an editor, I’m always busy.  What editor
isn’t?  There are a million things waiting.  To make the matters worse, I’m
also a journalist, too.   That means I have to travel, talk to people, and
write the stories.

Our magazine,
Ego
, is kind of odd.  In fact, it’s
very
odd.  It covers anything unnatural, from aliens, time travel, ghost, zombie,
vampires to telepathy, bigfoot, and many other things.  The funny thing is all
the articles are “investigations” with great photos.

Many people, of course, complain.  But the owner of the
magazine, Mr. Harris, isn’t bothered at all.  He treats all the criticism as
free marketing.  “Any news is good news.” he keeps saying.  “The only bad news
is no news.”

In fact, his strategy is working well because magazine sales
has increased by almost forty percent in less than a year.

“I am confident that our sales will be doubled within the
next two to three years.”  Mr. Harris announces happily.

Right.  That means our workload will also be doubled,
too.
Thank you, Mr. Harris, for your greedy slogan, “Our team works better
under pressure.”  What a cheap ass.

A message pops up on my computer screen: “Bella, please come
to my office.”  Shit, what does that mean?  Something went wrong?  Or something
absolutely urgent?  Whatever, the meeting is
not
going to be pleasant.

I rush to the cafeteria for a new coffee and then rush to my
boss’ office.  “Hi, Michelle.”  I put up a smile.

My boss, Michelle Malkin, is a
crazy
woman.  She is a
working machine with no off switch.  What’s worse is she believes in anything abnormal
or super natural.  “Our job is to observe the facts and raise questions.”  For
example, she sent me to “visit a poor Sicilian victim of alien seduction” last
summer.  That article is a total drama but, hey, again, it helps the magazine
break the sales record of July.

“Sit down please, Bella.”  Michelle smiles.

I sit down and move my butt a bit for greater comfort
because I know the conversation may take a while.

“Bella,” Michelle pulls a large envelope out of her drawer.
“I have an important task for you.”  She pats the envelope like a $5,500
Persian kitty.  “But you have to promise to keep it
top secret
.”
Her eyes widen.

“I promise.”  I say right away.  Why not?  I have promised a
zillion times.  For her, everything is top secret anyway.

“Great.” She hands the envelope over.

I reach out for it but Michelle holds it tight.  “Please
don’t open it yet.”

What the heck is going on?  Why is it so secretive?  I say,
“Okay” and then put the envelope on my lap.

Michelle looks to make sure the door is tightly shut and then
leans toward me. “Tonight, you will fly to Crete.  The tickets have been
booked.”

“What?  Crete?   You mean, Crete, an island of Greece?” I
ask.

“Right.” Her smile is so secretive but I don’t care.  Sure, Crete.
Why not?  It’s a great vacation resort with long sandy beaches and rocky bays.
Its wine is great, too.  I have been dreaming of a vacation on that island for
so long.

“Here is the secret,” Michelle takes a look at the door
again.  I turn to make sure that no ghost or something absolutely bizarre is
standing at the door right behind me.

She swallows and then whispers, “They discovered a Minotaur
fossil.”

I almost laugh.  I try so hard to lock my laughter in my
body, I almost black out.  A Minotaur
fossil
?  Man, what a joke.  Does
she want me to write an “our exclusive report” on this “unbelievable discovery”
for this legendary monster?

“Your job is to go to Lefka Ori, that means ‘White Mountains’
for your information, on the island, observe the fossil in a cave, and then
write an exclusive report.”  She thinks for a short moment and then adds, “Of
course, we need good pictures.”

To take pictures of a legendary monster and write an
exclusive report?
I don’t feel like laughing any more.

“Any questions?”  Michelle looks at me.

Chapter Two

“Do I have detailed information on where the fossil is or am
I going to get help from a local tour guide?”  I ask.

“Oh, no, no tour guide, okay?  This is absolutely, totally
top secret.  You’re not going to talk about that with anyone, including your
husband or boyfriend.”  She looks at me like an FBI officer, with absolutely
no
smile.

Thank you so much, Michelle!  You would remind me I
haven’t been fucked in almost a year.

“Any questions?” She puts her smile back on.

“Nope.”  I stand up.  “Thank you, Michelle.”

“Oh, by the way, you get an assistant this time.” she says.

“Who?”

“Gordon Harris.” she smiles.
“What? That…”
Michelle raises her hand to stop me right away. “Bella, this is non-negotiable,
okay?”

That Gordon.  The son of Mr. Harris, the to-be owner of this
great magazine, the born multi-millionaire, and a
totally-spoiled
brat.
Why should he be assigned to me as my “assistant”?

What can he assist with?  I know he has an MBA degree.  But
his daily job is hot-chick-chasing.  I’m serious.

I have to admit he
is
super hot and absolutely
irresistible.  His sea blue eyes and baritone can pump my heart beat to a
million times per minute right away.  Sure, we talk, or flirt, almost every
day.  Sure, he wants to strip me and fuck me hard.  And I have dreamed so many
times about moaning and growling in desperation under his rock solid, muscular
body.

The problem, however, is that he is the son of the owner.  I’m
pretty sure it’s a
bad
idea to fuck the big boss’ son. The office is
where you come to make money, right?  Once you have a “relationship”, you never
know what’s going to happen.

Based on what has happened many times, the moment he rolls
off my body, he will begin a new hunt for the next hot chick.  What am I going
to do then?  Watch him chasing a new girl on the floor, or quitting my job?

There is
no way
I will do either of these.  I have
worked so hard to progress in my career.  I will make sure everything I do will
help me move to the next level.

In fact, I hate the ass.  I know he nicknamed me “Hungry Lonely
Chick”, which is absolutely, totally insulting.  I don’t have a boyfriend at
the moment because… oh, well, my ex was fucking another girl when I opened the
door.

Yeah, I feel a bit lonely (actually
very
lonely at
the moment) but that’s my own business, okay?  That has nothing to do with you,
asshole.  Absolutely nothing.

Am I hungry for sex?  I bet it’s
you
getting so
hungry now because you get rejected by
me
.  Haha… I bet you never
thought that could happen, huh?  You thought I would have lined up like those
cheap sluts, waiting for the ‘opportunity’ to serve Your Majesty, huh?  There
is
no way
I will do that, not in a zillion years.

Sure, I’m hot but that has
nothing
to do with you,
asshole.  Please don’t pretend you are talking business.  Your dirty eyes and
ugly cock give you away.

Why do you want to be my “assistant” this time?  I don’t
need an assistant.  I bet you’ve asked for it.  You must have.  Are you getting
crazily hungry for my body now?

Man, I have to be very careful this time.
The danger
is right at me, all the time.

“Hey, Bella,” Gordon, the asshole, appears out of nowhere.

“Ms. Parker. Ms. Bella Parker, okay?” I stare at him.  “Now
you’re my assistant.”

“Okay, Ms. Parker, Ms. Bella Parker.”  He smirks.  “Are you
ready for the Crete…”

I put my index finger at my lips. “Shhh, top secret,” I
whisper.

“Right, top secret.” He’s so loud.

“What’s wrong with you?” My look hardens.  “Is this ‘top
secret’ a fake piece of shit?” I ask.

“Hey, Ms. Parker,” he grins. “Please watch your tongue.”

“But you’re not keeping the secret.”

“I
am
.”  He looks around. “See, no one is listening.”
He grins.  “Crete.”  This time, his voice is even louder.

What an idiot!
  This filthy rich asshole is
definitely a spoiled brat.

I don’t have to look hard and far.  See that hot chick over
there?  I mean that one across the aisle, not far away.  Right.  That one.

You know what?  That bitch, Sarah, is one of those “ex
chicks” who have been fucked and dumped by Gordon.  Did you see her moving her
earphones a bit?  She has taken them away from her ears.  She is listening to
our top secret business conversation very carefully.

I’m sure the buzz word for today’s gossip is “Gordon is
fucking Bella in Crete.”  I bet that minus-IQ bitch, Sarah, has no clue at all about
‘Crete’ but she will simply say, ‘That cheap motel, you know’” with a silly
we-have-been-there-by-the-way
expression.

“Hey, Bella,” Gordon looks at me again, but not at my eyes.
As always, he has serious problems controlling his eyes and looking where he’s
supposed to.  I feel the penetrating stare at my boobs.  But, hey, as usual, my
heart beat is faster than my computer processor now.  So why do I care at all?

“What?” I look at him, trying to keep my breathing smooth.  My
cheeks are all red and hot now.
