The racing scene with Emma’s brother in
Simply the Best
was inspired by one of my trips to the races. I was given the opportunity to hang out in the pits with the drivers. Blaine is based on a couple of those drivers. I got to see how the cars were kept between races, what was added and dismantled, and just how much work goes into the vehicles. There are also lots of tires in the pits!
