She stroked him gently from base to tip. “Does that feel good?” she asked him. “Or do you like a firmer grip? Tell me what you like.”

“Later,” he promised. “This is about what you like. What does it feel like in your hand?”

“Hot and smooth. Firm. I like the way the skin moves beneath my hand when I stroke it.”

“Is there any part of me that you like to touch more?”

She shook her head.

“How do you know? You haven’t touched me everywhere yet.”

Her brow crinkled. “I’ve never met a guy who liked to be touched anywhere but his cock. Wouldn’t you rather just get down to business?”

“This is how I do business.” He decided the back of her knee was the next location he wanted to explore. “Lost your chance. My turn again.” He rolled her onto her back and moved to kneel between her ankles. He stroked the skin behind each knee. Lightly at first, which made her giggle, and then with more pressure. He lowered his head to kiss, lick, and suckle the back of one knee and then the other. When she started squirming, her succulent ass caught his attention. That was next on his agenda. He slid his hands up both thighs and grabbed an ass cheek in each hand. He massaged her ass roughly as he trailed gentle kisses up the back of one thigh.

“Oh,” she gasped when he reached one cheek and sucked as much of it into his mouth as possible. He continued to massage the soft globes of tissue as he feasted—kissing, sucking, biting, licking until she was writhing on the bed below him. He flicked his tongue over her anus, once again wishing he had his stud piercing in his tongue. Next time they made love he’d show her a few tricks. “Wait!” she gasped brokenly.

“Wait for what?” he murmured. He flicked his tongue over the same spot and she shuddered. “Does it feel good?”

“W-weird.”

“Do you like it?”

“I-I don’t know.”

He licked her there one more time and then slapped her ass. She tensed and then surprised him by hooking an arm and leg around his body and tumbling him onto the bed beside her. “I have to have you, Trey.”

“You don’t like to be touched?”

She shook her head. “I love it. I want to do the same to you. Explore every inch of you with every inch of me, but I need this.” She grabbed his cock. “And I need it now.”

“I need a condom.”

Reagan scrambled from the bed and retrieved the condoms from the nightstand. She didn’t seem to notice that her bedroom door was open or that Ethan was standing there in his towel scowling, but Trey did.

Trey watched Ethan while Reagan tore open the condom and unrolled it down his length. He still hadn’t decided if he should alert Reagan to her roommate’s presence or allow him to enjoy the show when Reagan straddled him and directed his cock into her heavenly warmth.

“God, I’ve never needed fucked so bad in my life,” she said between clenched teeth. She rode him hard.

“Never?” Ethan grumbled.

Reagan paused and glared at Ethan over her shoulder. “Get out of here.”

“I won’t be home until morning. Be sure to lock all the deadbolts before you go to sleep.”

“Trey’s here. I’ll be fine. Stop worrying so much.”

Trey lifted his hands to her breasts, rubbing his thumbs over her nipples.

“You mean he’s not going to leave as soon as he blows his load?” Ethan said.

“Nope. I’ll still be here in the morning,” Trey said. “Have fun at work.”

He heard Ethan say something that sounded a lot like, “Lying bastard,” under his breath before he slammed the door.

“I’m really sorry he’s like that,” Reagan said. “I don’t know why he’s so protective.”

Trey knew, but he wasn’t about to tell Reagan that her roommate was still in love with her. Despite the reduced flow of blood to his brain at the moment, he wasn’t a total idiot.

Reagan lifted her hips until Trey fell free of her body and then flopped down on the bed beside him. “What a mood killer! God, I could strangle him right now.”

Trey didn’t think it would be too hard to get her back in the mood. He rolled on top of her and cradled her face between both hands. “Forget about him,” Trey murmured and kissed her lips. His hands moved in perfect unison as he caressed her breasts, her sides, her hips. His mouth moved to suckle her jaw, her throat, her earlobe. When her tension faded and her body relaxed again, he took his cock in his hand and directed it inside her. He dug his toes into the mattress and possessed her with those hard, deep, slow thrusts he’d been promising her all day. Her hands explored his back and butt as he drove himself into her.

“Look at me, Trey,” she whispered.

He shook his head. He never looked his lovers in the eye when he was joined with them.

“Trey,” she said more firmly. “Look at me.”

He lifted his head to glare at her. She smiled gently, her steady gaze locking with his. He couldn’t look away. Didn’t want to look away. He saw her. Not as just a body to sate his lust or a personality to amuse him, but all of her. Reagan. The pleasure in his groin intensified. He didn’t understand it at first. Why his heart was pounding so hard. Why he wanted to do more than fuck her. He wanted to possess her. Why he couldn’t look away from her eyes. Why he felt so alive and excited and afraid all at once. That emotional connect that he never allowed himself to feel? He felt it. He felt it in Reagan. With Reagan. And for some reason he liked it.

He buried his hands in her hair and tilted her head back, still staring into her eyes. He allowed himself to become immersed in her. Not just his body, but his heart, his soul, his thoughts and emotions. She awakened something within him. Something he’d been denying himself for far too long.

“Why do I feel this way?” he whispered. He hadn’t meant to, but once he’d said it, he hoped she could give him an answer, because he was at a total loss.

“What way?”

He wasn’t sure how to explain it to her. “Like… like this is important.”

“That it means something?”

He nodded slightly and continued to stare down at her, waiting for her to elucidate him.

“I don’t know, Trey, maybe you’re in love with me.”

He would have laughed at how preposterous that teasing statement was, if it hadn’t hit so close to his suspicions. “Maybe,” he whispered and closed his eyes so the emotions didn’t overwhelm him and he could enjoy the pleasure her body offered.

Trey knew he couldn’t fall in love with someone in one day. It wasn’t possible. Yes, it had been that way with Brian, but he’d been young and impressionable. They’d been friends for years before his feelings had changed with one stolen kiss. Trey was older now. Wiser. He couldn’t actually be in love with her already, but he did feel
something
. Something was a hell of a lot more than the nothing he usually felt.

Trey moved faster within her, seeking release so he could finish this and return to that uninvolved state he felt after having sex with someone. He was now quite sure that he wasn’t ready to get involved with anyone. Especially not with a woman who made him feel this much this quickly. And definitely not so soon after giving up on Brian. He wasn’t ready for another emotional attachment yet. He had to get away before she broke his heart. He’d never given anyone but Brian that power over him before.

“What’s wrong?” Reagan whispered. Her lips brushed his jaw.

“Nothing,” he lied.

“Something’s wrong. You’ve lost your rhythm.”

He hadn’t even noticed. Not only did she make him feel too much, but she obliterated his concentration. “Sorry.” He’d never apologized in the bedroom in his life. What in the hell was wrong with him?

“Maybe if you’d stop fighting it.”

He paused and stared down at her. “Fighting what?”

“The connection between us.”

“I’m not fighting anything.”

She smiled slightly. “If you say so.”

She planted both hands on his chest and pushed at him until he pulled out with a grimace. She rolled him onto his back. “Let yourself feel it, Trey. Feel me.”

She stroked his chest with both palms.

“I want to be close to you,” she said. “Will you let me? Even if it means I’ll get my heart broken later, it’s worth it.”

“I won’t hurt—”

“Shh,” she murmured, her lips moving to his chest to suckle kisses across his skin. “No words, Trey, just feel.”

Just
feel.
She made it sound so easy. He felt her touch, the warmth of her body, the tickle of her bangs as they trailed down his belly. He felt affection for her—a bubbly warmth in his chest. Beneath her touch, he felt desire and need. When she moved to straddle his hips and directed him back into her warmth, he felt blinding pleasure. And more. He’d experienced the same thing as he stared into her eyes the first time their bodies had joined. He eased his eyes open a crack and found that she was staring at him as she rose and fell over his body. He closed his eyes again, his heart thudding like mad in his chest. She gently brushed her fingertips over his quivering belly as she rode him with a slow, steady rhythm. It scared the hell out of him to know she was looking for an emotional connection, not a quick and easy release. He was sure a lot of his lovers had wanted the same, but he’d never even considered it before. Before now.

He took her ass in both palms and massaged its cheeks as she rose and fell over him. Her motions became more sensual as she churned above him. His thoughts scattered as nothing but pleasure mattered.

“Trey,” she gasped.

He opened his eyes, wanting to see her face the first time she came with him buried inside her, and their gazes locked. He lost himself in that instant. She held nothing back. She was completely open to him and it was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen in his life. She smiled gently. “There you are,” she said.

He sat up, shifting her hips until she was comfortably impaled by his cock. She wrapped her arms and legs around him and snuggled her face against his neck. He held her for a moment, his mind racing. What was he doing? He realized that he’d told her he wanted her to be his steady girlfriend, but he hadn’t thought that meant he’d become emotionally invested. That would make it so much more difficult to let her go when the time came. Just thinking about letting her go had his arms tightening around her.

I’m fucked
, he thought. And not in the good way.

“You are all kinds of freaked out about this, aren’t you?” she said into his ear. She pulled away and cupped his face as she stared into his eyes. “Tell me.”

He shook his head. There was no way he could describe what he was feeling. Besides, he didn’t want her to know. He hadn’t even come to terms with it yet. How could he be expected to share it with her?

She kissed him gently and then stared into his eyes with tenderness. “Given time, maybe as little as ten seconds, I think I could love you, Trey Mills. How does that make you feel?”

“I’m used to people falling in love with me,” he said. And it usually annoyed him. A twinge of hurt crossed her eyes and he was sorry he hadn’t chosen his words more carefully. “What I’m not used to is thinking that I could feel the same way.”

Her eyes sparkled in the lamplight as she smiled at him. “So there is something special between us. You feel it too?”

“It scares the shit out of me.”

She laughed. “Oh God, me too.” She kissed him hard on the mouth. “I’m terrified you’re going to crush my heart, but I don’t want to slow down, do you?”

He contemplated her question. Yeah, he did want to slow down, but he was pretty sure it was too late for that. He was falling hard and fast for Reagan Elliot. His entire world had been shaken to its core in one short day, and there was no turning back now. “I think it’s time I held nothing back. Do you think you can handle that?”

She laughed. “Probably not, but I’ll scrape what’s left of me back together tomorrow. Tonight I won’t hold anything back either. And if it doesn’t work out between us, it doesn’t work out.”

He stroked her hair away from her beautiful face and smiled as he stared into her eyes. Knowing that she had the same reservations, but also wanted to throw them aside, made it so much easier for him to bare his soul. Well, most of it. “I hope it does work out.”

She smiled. “Me too. I’m going to let myself love you now. Don’t freak out on me.”

He laughed. “No promises.”

“But I want promises,” she whispered. “Even if they only extend through tonight.”

Promises.

“You make me feel whole,” she said. “Like that piece that’s always been missing has been filled. I didn’t even know it was there until you touched on it.”

Trey’s heart thudded as he tried to find words to describe what he was feeling. He’d felt something very similar to this before. With Brian. “Move with me, Reagan. I feel… connected.” More than that, but he wasn’t sure how to describe it. “Like I need you in order to recognize my true self.”

She smiled gently and kissed him before raising her hips and lowering them, bringing their bodies apart and together. “This is undoubtedly the craziest thing I’ve ever done, and I’ve done some crazy things in my life, Trey Mills.”

“It’s just sex, Reagan.”

She shook her head. “With someone else this would just be sex, but with you… I need to shut up. I’m going to end up scaring you more than I already have.”

“The damage has already been done.” He nibbled her neck, her jaw, suckled her earlobe. “Don’t stop now.”

He slid his hands over her smooth back, delighting in the texture of her satiny skin.

“With you…” She rubbed her face against his temple. “You make me feel wonderful inside and out.”

He tipped her onto her back and grinned down at her. “Enough mushy stuff.” He couldn’t concentrate on giving her physical pleasure when he was trying to analyze feelings he wasn’t ready to identify. He watched her face while he plunged into her body, looking for those telltale signs that gave him clues as to what she liked best. He found her rhythm quickly and discovered she moaned the loudest when he pounded her hard and ground his pelvis when he was buried deep, and again when he was inches from falling free from her body. He concentrated on giving her what she liked. Sweat trickled down the side of his face. His stomach muscles and hips began to tremble with fatigue, but hearing her reaction and watching her orgasm approach was well worth the effort.
