“No.” He swallowed as if uncomfortable. “And if you’re going to play with my prick, I think you ought to maybe call me by my Christian name.”

A teasing grin played on her lips. “Do you have a problem with me playing with your prick,
Callum
?”

“That will depend, I suppose, on your follow-through.”

He tilted his forehead down to rest against hers. His skin, his whole being radiated sex. Closing her eyes, she soaked his essence in, along with his warmth and bouquet. Whisky, a pleasant herbal fragrance, and sultry manliness. Without planning to, she pressed her mouth to his. He not only kissed her back, he parted his lips and gave her his tongue. She brushed his with hers, but only for a teasing moment.

“Are you staying here at the inn?” he asked.

“Um-hmm,” she murmured against his lips. “Would you like to see my room? It’s got a nice, big bed.”

Oh, shit. She hadn’t meant to say that. Now what?

He kissed her with sensual languor. “I want more than one night, mo dearbadan-de.”

Pulling away, she scowled at him. “What did you just call me?”

“My butterfly. In Gaelic.”

“Oh.” She drew back and smiled at him. “I guess that’s all right, then.” The next moment, realizing what else he’d said, her smile faded. “Wait a second. You want more? How much more?”

“All three days you’re in Caithness.”

Her features unclenched. “Can I stay at your castle?”

“I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Yes! She was in. “What are we going to do together for three whole days?”

“Everything I can think of to enjoy each other and Caithness.”

“That sounds wonderful,” she said, meaning every word.

“Good. Then, it’s settled…and I shall collect you in the morning.”

“Collect me like a butterfly?”

“Just like a butterfly.”

“What should I wear?”

“Something pretty, but comfortable for walking,” he told her.

Vanessa could not be more pleased—and not just because she’d achieved her goal of getting invited to his castle. Callum Lyon was handsome, charming, romantic, and took charge without being inconsiderate or controlling—rare qualities she appreciated.

He got up, downed his drink, and kissed her on the cheek like a perfect gentleman. “Sleep well, Vanessa. Tomorrow, I will be here at eight o’clock sharp.”

Eight seemed awfully early to look her best. “Can we make it nine instead? I’m still a bit jet-lagged, I’m afraid.”

“Of course we can,” he said with a smile. “Shall I meet you in the lobby or come up to your room?”

“The lobby works.”

“Good. And with that settled, I shall bid you a good night.” Dropping a few bills on the bar, he turned on his heel and strode off in the direction of the dining room, never once looking back.
