She’s traveled extensively throughout Canada, Mexico, Europe, Africa, and Central America—always on the lookout for new characters or a new story.

Dear Reader,

My boy Stone has always been the quiet one in the family, but now he’s got the whole town talking. He and his longtime sweetheart, Sharon, are crazy about each other, but suddenly they can’t see eye-to-eye on their future. Sharon thought they were going to go to college, then get married. But Stone had other plans—plans he didn’t share with anyone.

So it looks like our resident matchmaker Miriam is going to be wrong for the first time ever. She swears Sharon and Stone are true soul mates. Well, I think between the broken promises and Sharon’s meddling mother, these two kids are going to need a miracle to make it down the aisle…

There’s Arlene—I just need to finish her trim and then I can head over to the Watermelon Festival. Be sure to stop back by the Cut ’n’ Curl for hot rollers, free coffee—and the best gossip in town.

See you real soon,

Ruby Rhodes

Fed up with her moody teenage daughter, Meg Addams decides what they both need is a good dose of suburban wholesomeness. But when they leave Manhattan behind for Meg’s humble blue-collar hometown, they find it crowded with wealthy strangers and upscale boutiques. Settling into a creaky fixer-upper, Meg finally spots a familiar face right next door—and it belongs to none other than Sam Rooney. The would-be love of Meg’s high school life is now a single dad, her daughter’s new soccer coach—and a neighborly ghost-buster whenever things go bump in the night. With three kids and an undeniable attraction between them, Meg and Sam are in for some heart-racing, wee-hour encounters that have nothing to do with spirits…but everything to do with hearts.

Every Saturday night, best friends and neighbors Zada, Jen, Tish, and Alicia heat up their quaint little cul-de-sac with the infamous Housewives Fantasy Club. Everyone has a secret fantasy to share. Some have better ones to hide.

Imagine! Retired baseball star Jake “The Rake” Sims living here—in the flesh! Well, he won’t find Alicia Greene an easy conquest (she does not do bad boys). So what if his chiseled pecs and grand slam physique—displayed nightly in sexy underwear commercials—once made him her “most valuable” fantasy lover. His wild lifestyle squelched that dream. Now Jake swears he’s reformed, Alicia’s not buying it, and their matchmaking neighbors are doing their best to foil the couple’s “good” intentions. They may be onto something. After one fabulous dinner, Jake takes Alicia in his arms and discovers how forbidden passion—more tempting and sweeter than dessert—can fulfill all her secret fantasies.

Comic-book heroine Angelina Avenger battles dastardly criminals and alien invasions. But her creator Marlie Montague’s life isn’t as exciting…until Marlie opens the front door and finds the business end of a pistol pointed right at her. Her plan: to channel Angelina fast! Recruiting her new next-door neighbor, who looks like a rock-hard action hero, couldn’t hurt, either…

The last thing Navy secret agent Joel Hunter expected on this surveillance gig was a luscious brunette bursting through his window. Now he and Marlie are blowing the doors off a full-blown conspiracy with more double agents than a Bond flick. But in between shootouts and squealing tires, the mystery that is Marlie is making Joel’s heart go
thump thump thump
. Is she a femme fatale or an endearing bookworm? And how does she leave him both shaken and stirred?
