Children’s booksellers rock the planet. And a big thanks to my buddies in the biz – most especially the amazing David O’Callaghan for the inspiration and support. Seth isn’t in this one much, Dave, but he of the guyliner will be back, cross my heart – thanks for making
Boy Trouble
book of the month and for the fabby diaries!
Special thanks to Bob and all in Hughes for also making
Boy Trouble
book of the month. Colour me chuffed. And the gang in Dubray, who are always so welcoming.
Mags, Tom and Jenny in Children’s Books Ireland are fantastic and their work with books and authors is the stuff of legend. Keep it up, folks!
To the good people at Annaghmakerrig, a most scenic writers’ retreat – thanks for all the peace and quiet, and the food.
Summer Secrets
is a better book because of it.
And finally to the hundreds of readers who have sent me letters, emails, short stories, photos and drawings – I salute you! You make writing worthwhile. Thanks so much for taking the time to contact me. I heart you all! I love to hear from you, so please do write (
[email protected]
). I’ll get back to every one of you eventually, I promise. And as my daughter, Amy, always says, a promise is a promise.
All the best,
Sarah XXX

Sarah Webb
worked as a children’s bookseller for years and years before becoming a full-time writer. She lives in Ireland, with her partner and young family. Writing is her dream job as she can travel, read magazines and books, watch movies, go shopping, and interrogate friends and family members – all in the name of “research”! She has a minor addiction to shoes she can’t walk in and velvet coats. She has written nine adult novels, which have been published worldwide, including
The Loving Kind.

“A fab and funny read.”
Cathy Cassidy
“Fabulously funny; this is a brilliant read. Five out of five.”
Mizz
“A funny, lively and thought-provoking book.”
Scotsman
“Perfect for young Jacqueline Wilson and Judi Curtin fans.”
Woman’s Way
“Amy Green further cements [Webb’s] status as a master storyteller. Appropriate for tweens and teens, this novel is so chock full of spot-on scenes of adolescent distress (and triumph!) that readers will likely heave sighs of relief that they’ve found a new best friend in Amy.”
Inis Magazine
“The tales of Amy Green address the issues facing young teens, from bullying and divorce to step families and peer isolation, in a language that isn’t patronising to her readers.”
Irish Independent
