She smiled up at him. “I’m starving; I also need to have a shower.”

“When the nurse comes back in we’ll ask if you can have one before you leave.”

When the food finally arrived, Skylar was almost drooling. The nurse placed the tray on her table, walked around and pushed a button to raise the bed to a sitting up position. Nate pulled the table over her lap. Skylar reached out and picked up a slice of toast and took a bite, then grabbed her fork and did the same with the scrambled eggs. “Sweetheart, slow down. You’ll make yourself sick eating too fast.” Nate reached over and stopped her hand.

She frowned at him, “I’m starving, Nate. I didn’t eat that much yesterday.”

“Just, go easy.” Skylar nodded.

Nate sat beside her while she was eating. “How did you hurt yourself?” he asked.

Shivering at his question, she looked around the room, contemplating what she was going to say to him, “You’ll think it’s stupid, but the lights were flickering in the bathroom and then the light bulb blew and scared me half to death. I tried to grab the side of the sink, but missed and slipped.” She hoped to God it sounded convincing. There was no way she was telling him about what she thought she saw; she didn’t even know herself if it was real or not.

Lifting her hand to his mouth and placing a kiss on her palm, “I don’t think it’s stupid, baby. I’m just glad I got there in time.”

Before she could reply, the doctor arrived. “I see you’re feeling better, Skylar.” Dr. Malcolm smiled at her.

“The pain isn’t so bad right now,” she answered, her mouth full of food.

“Okay, I’ll write out a prescription for pain killers; you will need them later.”

“Thanks,” she answered.

The doctor wrote down some other stuff on her chart.

“Can I have a shower before I leave today?”

“Sure, but don’t get the dressing wet. Give it a couple of days for it to heal a little bit, then you can wash your hair.”

“Okay.”

“Since everything is good, I’ll come back and sign your discharge papers in an hour or so and then you can leave.”

“Thanks for all your help, Dr. Malcolm.”

“No problem, Skylar. Take care of yourself.”

“I will,” she answered him. When Skylar had enough to eat, she pushed the tray away from her. “Can you help me into the shower, Nate?”

Reaching for the bag Alex had left for her last night and stood beside the bed. Skylar lifted off the blanket, and swung her legs over the edge. Letting her feet touch the ground, she stood up slowly. Feeling a little wobbly, she held onto Nate and tried to regain her balance. Nate wrapped his arm around her waist and waited. Taking one slow step at a time, they made their way into the room, locking the door behind them.

“What do you want me to do?” he asked.

“Can you help me remove my gown? I don’t want to bend over as I feel dizzy.”

He placed the bag on the bench near the shower and gently lifted the gown off of her. He laid it over the towel rack, and helped her remove underwear, holding back a groan at the sight of her naked in front of him. Leaving her there for a minute, he turned on the water and waited till the temperature was just right. He moved aside and Skylar walked closer, letting the water run down the front of her body.

Turning around slowly, she smiled up at Nate. “Can you wash me?”

“Skylar,” he groaned.

“Please, I don’t want to wet my wound.”

He took the soap from her and lathered his hands. Leaning her back against his chest, he started rubbing her shoulders. He moved down to her breasts and he couldn’t help pinching her nipples while massaging them, causing Skylar to moan. Skylar slid her hand around the back and rubbed over his growing erection through his jeans. He stroked down her body with one hand, over her stomach, and stopped above her clit. Her breathing increased as she pushed up against him. Skylar unzipped his jeans and pushed her hand in, wrapping her fingers around the hardness of him. She firmly stroked him up and down, while he continued to rub lightly over her clit. Moving his hips back and forth into her hand. She lifted her other arm and wrapped it around his neck, holding onto him for balance. As she spread her legs wider for him, he pushed two fingers into her, gripping him like a vice. He pumped them in and out slowly. She rose on her toes and started nibbling on his neck. Growling, he increased the speed.

“Nate, I need you,” she moaned.

“And I need you, too, darling. You have no idea how much. But I’m not going to make love to you until you’re all better. So were going to do this instead, just going to take it nice and slow, I don’t want to hurt you more than you are.”

She gripped his cock harder, making him close his eyes. Nate moved his mouth down her neck and over her shoulder, while pulling her closer to him.
Jesus Christ, what the hell is she doing to me?

“Nate,” she moaned. Moving his fingers faster in her, so did her hand over his cock, keeping at the speed he was pumping into her. He felt the flames in his balls.

“Baby, you need to let go, I can’t hold off much longer.” He whispered. Twisting his wrist, hitting that sweet spot inside of her. He turned her head, gently and covered her mouth with his, capturing the scream she let out. Her hand pumped harder over him, as he grunted his release, into her neck. She collapsed back against his chest breathing heavily. Leaning his head against her shoulder, he pulled out his fingers, slowly. Whimpering at the loss of him inside of her.

Kissing the top of her head, he removed his clothing and jumped under the shower with her, and washed them both quickly. He dried her off and helped her get dressed and then once he finished, walked her over to the bed and laid her down.

“Does your head hurt?” He hoped she wasn’t sore after what they just did.

“I’m fine.” Skylar didn’t want to let him know that her head actually did hurt during their time together in the shower; she knew he would have stopped what they were doing.

“I’m just going to race down to the cafeteria to grab a drink and something to eat. I’ll ring Alex and let him know we’ll be heading home soon. Do you want anything?”

“A fruit salad, if they have any, please.”

“Sure, I’ll be back real soon.” He kissed her and left the room.

Skylar cuddled into her pillow while laughing to herself. She had never done anything like that in a hospital bathroom before.

“How are you feeling?”

She rolled over, and realized it was one of the nurses. “A little sore.”

“I can give you a shot of morphine, just enough to take the edge off. It shouldn’t make you feel drowsy,” she said.

“That would help a lot, thanks,” Skylar answered her.

She hurried out and came back with a syringe, injecting it into her drip. “You have a wonderful fiancé with you. He wouldn’t let any of us in unless we showed our tags to him,” she said, smiling at her.

“Fiancé?” She frowned. Who was she talking about?

“The guy with you. He is definitely a looker. All the nurses from the second floor have come up here just to get a look at him.”

She giggled. “Yes, he does get a lot of attention from women.” Skylar smiled to her.

“Anyway, the doctor has signed your release papers. Give me a few minutes and I’ll grab your prescription.”

She nodded and watched her leave the room. She sat up, and waited for Nate to arrive back, so they could leave.

Nate hurried down the hallway and stood outside the entrance to the hospital to phone Alex.

“Hey, Alex
.

“Is everything all right?” Alex asked with a worried voice.

“Everything is good; the doctor is letting her go home this morning, we just have to wait for him to sign the release papers and write her prescription and then we’ll be heading home.”

“That’s good to hear. I’ll get Dom to drive your truck over and leave the keys at the nurses’ desk for you. Send me a text when you leave and I’ll stop by the grocery store and pick up a few things,” Alex said to him.

“Will do, can you ask Dom to throw some of my clothes in a bag and drop it off at her place, I want to stay with her for a while.”

“Sure, I’ll let him know now. See you when you get here.”

Nate ended the call and walked back inside to the cafeteria, grabbed what he needed for him and Skylar, and headed back to her room. He opened the door softly, stepping in and strolled around to her side, “Are you in pain, baby?” He put down the food and touched the back of his hand to her forehead.

“I can tolerate it, why?”

“You’re a little white, darling.” He picked up the bag of food and sat down next to her. “I got you a fruit salad, and a ham, cheese salad roll.” Reaching in the bag, he pulled out her food and handed it to her.

“Thanks, Nate.” She smiled at him.

“Alex is glad you’re all right and that you’re coming home soon. Has the doctor come in to sign the papers yet?” he asked as he took a bite of his sandwich.

“He was called away on an emergency, but left it with the nurse. We just have to stop by the desk on the way out, when I’m ready.” Picking up a piece of fruit, she placed it in her mouth and chewed. When they were finished eating, Nate stood up, picked up all her belongings and placed them back in the bag. He walked to her side, “Ready, to go home?”

“More than you know,” she said, grinning at him. As she stood, he wrapped his arm around her shoulders and they made their way to the nurse’s desk to grab his keys.

Once in his truck, she rested her head against his shoulder, glad to be going home.

“Something wrong?” Nate smiled at her.

“No, just glad I’m going home.”

Nate pulled up in front of her veranda so she didn’t have far to walk. Getting out, he rounded the truck and opened the door for her. Sliding out, she held on to his arm for support and walked slowly up the stairs and into her house.

“Glad you’re home, Sky,” Alex said, meeting them at the door. He leaned down and kissed her on the tip of her nose. Both Nate and Alex helped her to the couch. Once she was sitting down, Nate walked off to place her bag in her room.

“How’s the head, darling?” Alex fluffed her pillow so she could lie down.

“It’s fine for now, thanks.” She lay on her side so she wouldn’t put pressure on her wound.

“Well, if you need anything, I’ll be in the kitchen.”

“Okay,” she answered. Reaching for the remote, she turned on the TV and flicked through the channels until she found something that interested her.

Nate removed their dirty clothing from the bag and placed it in the washing machine, then went into the kitchen.

As he stepped in, Alex handed him a beer and sat down.

“So, did she tell you what happened?”

“The light blew in the bathroom, and scared her enough that she fell.” He replied.

“Bloody, light bulb.” Alex mumbled.

Laughing, he pushed back his chair and stood, “I’m hitting the sack. It’s been a long day. I’ll grab Skylar on the way through.”

“I’ll see you both in the morning. If you need anything you know where I am,” Alex said.

Walking over to Skylar, she was lying sound asleep on the couch. Thank God she was okay. He didn’t know what he would have done if she wasn’t. He knelt down beside her and brushed aside a strand of hair that was on her face, “Baby, you ready to go to bed?” He looked at her. She was gorgeous lying there peacefully.
