About The Author

For the
real
Caleb, Feji,

No regrets.

Dear readers,

Before you continue on to
Take it All
, I just wanted to say thank you for taking an interest in my story. As I stated previously, it is solely based on an event in my life that I wanted to share with you.

As you read through it, some of you may question some of the things that happen or how fast they happen. Once again, I will stress that this is based off my life events and everything did happen just like it states. Some of you may not agree, some of you may be shocked but what can I say…the thing a person will do for love and until you are put in that situation, well, you don’t know what you are capable of.

Writing
Take it All
was a challenge for me as it stirred up a lot of memories that I wanted to keep buried yet by the end, I felt like my personal demons were buried and put to rest.

Other than Caleb and Lennox being based off real people, there is only one other character in this book that is real. Raine was inspired by a dear friend of mine. The only difference is his appearance in the story comes ahead of where it came in real life.

I hope you enjoy the story of Caleb and Lennox and are able to understand the intensity of their love and the choices and decisions that were made because of it.

Much love,

Emma Grayson

Love doesn’t begin or end the way we think it does. It’s more than butterflies fluttering in your stomach when your eyes meet for the first time. It’s more than a spark you feel when your lips touch, igniting your flesh with a flame that licks your body; the feeling forever locked in the depths of your heart and soul.

It’s a battle; a war. It’s growing up. And sometimes it’s completely toxic.

She didn’t know how she ended up here. Alone, with pieces of her life lying hopelessly around her all because she believed in him and his promise. In an instant, her one deal breaker, the one thing she wanted no part in, was forgotten because it was him. Then, the one thing she couldn’t and wouldn’t deal with, the one thing he promised, became the one and only thing that mattered most.

His word had been an empty promise. Nothing but meaningless words, spun from a web to create lies, just to put her at ease; to make her stay. Because he knew, without a doubt, she would stay. For they were each other’s air to breathe, each other’s all; unable to separate themselves from one another in fear they wouldn’t survive.

Because everyone knew he couldn’t survive without her– just as they knew she couldn’t, or
wouldn’t
, survive without him.

He bent over and softly placed his lips on the tip of her nose, just as he had done for as long as she could remember. “I’ll be back,” he whispered quietly, hesitating before finally pulling away.

His eyes moved from hers as he turned and walked towards the door, stopping a moment, and lingering in the doorway like he was second guessing his decision. She watched him, hoping his mind had changed, only to quickly vanish as he continued out the door and into the hall.

She watched him through her window, walking down the brightly lit hall, wondering if it would be the last time she ever saw him. Wondering if it would be the last time she’d hear his voice, the last time his fresh, yet smoky scent filled her nose or the last time she’d feel her body come to life under his from the touch of his lips on hers.

She could feel it in her gut, twisting and knotting; the unspoken words bright in his eyes. His azure colored eyes that still had a way of making her knees weak and her heart beat wildly against her chest, all while small sparks of electricity soared through her body with a single simple look.

Lennox laid there frozen in time, unable to move, barely able to conjure a breath. The numbness slowly crept through her body, into her heart and soul, as the voice in her head spoke in loud volumes, telling her things she didn’t want to believe. Her eyes remained fixated on his back, watching as he became further and further away; almost out of sight.
