Sighing,
I move down beside him scrubbing my face with my hands. “I
don’t know what to do, Max. The cops can’t do shit
because we don’t know who it is.”
Max
reads it again then closes it. “It has to be someone we know.
They use her last name.”
“My
thoughts exactly. For a minute I thought it was Sean,” I tell
him watching his face, because I know he and Sean are friends.
Shrugging
he nods. “I don’t know, bro. I know he has a thing for
her but I don’t know if he’d do something like this.”
Turning
on my side, I rest my head on my hand. “You never told me
that.”
He
laughs at my face. “Knox, half the fucking school wants to bang
your girl. Take it as a compliment.” He pats my arm.
I
snort a laugh. “Yeah, I found that out through that stupid
fucking bet going around. Maybe who ever started that is sending the
flowers.”
We
both lie down thinking. Racking my brain, I honestly have no clue who
is doing this.
“So
what happened?” He points to my face and I tell him about
Bailey’s nightmare.
“Fuck
bro. It was intense. She was screaming, I mean really screaming, and
I couldn’t wake her. Then she started lashing out with her
hands. I bent down to grab her when I got nails in the face.”
Rubbing my face, I can feel the little raised scratches. “I
now know why chicks scratch, because it fucking hurts.” I
laugh.
Max
grins at me for a minute then gets all -serious. “What do you
think of Cara?”
“Huh?”
He
looks at me straight faced. “I don’t know. She is weird,
hot but weird but not as hot a Bailey.” He laughs at me.
“You’re a fucking tool.”
“Why?
You asked me a question, why did you ask it anyway asshole?”
Still
laughing he shakes his head. “Because I wanted to see if you
saw in her the same thing I did.”
Now
I am lost because I don’t know what the fuck he is talking
about. “Which is?”
He
puts his hands behind his head and stares at the ceiling. “She
is exactly like Bailey, bro. Except for the face but the rest, even
the personality is the same.”
I
sit up confused. “What? So because I think that chick is crazy
then that makes Bailey crazy too?”
He
shrugs. “We all know she is nuts, but I think its cool. I just
hope you know what you’re getting with her. I mean Lindsey was
crazy too.”
I
frown, lying back down. “Yeah, but Bailey is not ‘I want
to fuck you over’ crazy she is a fun crazy; like everyday will
be fun.”
He
nods. “Yeah, I know. Just making sure you know because being
on the inside sometimes clouds your judgment.”
I
just sigh at him because he is making sense but also not because he
doesn’t know my girl like I do. I spend all the hours I can
with her and I have learned her moods.
“But I’d still shag
her,” Max says making me look at him.
“What?”
I ask, warning in my tone.
“No
not Bailey, douche bag. Her cousin. If I was single I’d hit
that.”
I roll my eyes at him. “Max,
if you weren’t injured, I’d knock you out.” We both
laugh at each other. It feels good to laugh and have fun with him.
“What
are we doing for spring break?” he asks yawning.
“Not
sure. Cara wants Bailey to back to Grove.”
Max
nods as he considers it. “Sounds like a plan. We’ve
never been there; might be good to see what made your chick nuts.”
I
elbow him. “Fuck you.”
He
pushes me off the bed. Landing on my ass we laugh again. My dad walks
into the room looking at us; me on the floor laughing and Max in the
bed grinning.
“Hey
dad.”
My
dad shakes his head at us. “You two,” he says then leaves
the room, closing the door behind him.
Getting
off the floor, I stretch. “Okay, I’m hitting the gym bro.
Bailey ruined my work out yesterday.”
Max
laughs again. “You didn’t bring her there, bro?”
“Yeah
I did. I want her to get some bulk on her arms just in case this
psycho finds her and I’m not around.” I frown and Max
stops laughing.
“We
will figure something out. I have to bulk up too, so maybe she can
come here and work with me until I can go back to Moose’s.”
Fuck,
I don’t know what to do. I am trying everything I can think of
to help her.
“Yeah I’ll say to her
tonight.”
Leaving
the room, I go get ready for the gym. When I arrive, Moose laughs at
me.
“So
get into trouble with the missus yesterday?”
I
sign in the register glaring at him. “You’re not funny,
dude.”
He
just laughs again, shaking his head as I walk to the lockers. Putting
my bag away, I decide to run on the treadmill for twenty minutes.
Half way through Georgia joins me on the treadmill beside mine.
“Hey
Knox” I nod at her, she is one of a handful of chicks who come
here; she is built better than I am and no one fucks with her.
“What
happened that pretty face of yours?”
I
forgot about it again then smile. “My girl had a bad dream,”
I tell her, and she looks a little concerned, but then she smiles at
me. Finishing my treadmill I lift some weights and work on my legs
then leave, riding my Harley back to the apartment. I see Bailey’s
car sitting there wondering why she didn’t park on campus.
Running up to the apartment, I hear music when I open the door
walking so I dump my bag in the hall and walk through searching for
her. I find her in the kitchen doing homework and listening to some
dance techno stuff.
I
just stand in the hallway smiling as I watch her tap her pencil to
the beat of the music and sing along to some crazy song about jumping
all over the world. I walk slowly into the kitchen, scaring her. She
actually jumps then smiles, wrapping her arms around my neck. I reach
over and turn down her music.
“Hello.”
She
kisses me. “Hello I was waiting for you.”
Sounds
promising, I run my hands over her back and cup her ass, giving it a
squeeze. “Really?”
She
nods then brushes my hair out of my eyes. “Yes, I missed you
too much last night. I think I might have a problem,” she tells
me with a hint of something like mischief in her eyes. God, I want to
drag her into bed right now.
“I need a quick shower,
darlin’. Then I am all yours.”
She
presses herself up against me and bites my bottom lip, making me
groan. I don’t think I will be able to hold off if she keeps
doing that.
“Okay,
hurry back,” she whispers in my ear, sending warm shivers over
my body.
I
can’t help myself; I have to take her now. Pushing her back
against the table, I lift her leg up around my waist and plunge my
tongue deep inside her mouth tasting coffee and marshmallows. I want
all of her, Every God damn inch of her. Leaning down, I lay her on
the table, feeling her arousal with my fingers. She makes soft
moaning sounds as I push my fingers into her I fucking love that
sound. I can barley hang on myself. My dick is throbbing and I just
want to bury it inside her. I work harder and faster with my hand; I
want her to come first before I have my way with her. I feel her
tightening round me and then she calls out my name as a warm gush
flows over my fingers. Kissing her softly, she opens her shorts
kicking them and her panties away. I push down my own shorts, not
bothering to take off my shoes, and leave them to rest at my ankles.
I slide into her, feeling all of her pushing deeper and deeper with
each thrust.
Lifting
her hips, she allows me deeper access. Damn I love this. We push
against each other as sweat builds on my brow. I move faster;
wanting, needing that release only she can give me. Another hard push
and I spill my seed into her, collapsing on top of her. My breathing
is shallow as pleasure rolls from my dick all through my body. I feel
my muscles relax and smile at her. She smiles back at me, biting her
bottom lip and my heart constricts as I see all her love for me
shining through those deep blue pools.
Bailey
This
whole week has been crazy. Ryan and I have worked hard and today we
get to do our presentation, and then I will see my dad later tonight.
Finishing my makeup, I search my closet for my black pencil skirt and
my blue silk blouse with the tie at the neck. I bought black
stockings to complete my look. Ryan and I decided to dress the part
so he is wearing a suit with a blue tie. I received two more bunches
of dead roses this week and it freaked me out because they are
getting more frequent and the notes are getting really personal. I
haven’t told Knox yet but I plan to later today or tomorrow.
I
drive to campus and I park in my assigned spot and find Ryan in a
second; his height and girth give him away.
“Hey
you all set?” he calls as I step out of my car.
“Yep,
we got this,” I say, giving him a high five.
Walking
through campus we get whistles and stares but we are on a high. I
spot Paige leaving the admissions office and wave, and then Max
follows her out.
“Ryan,
give me a sec.”
He
nods reading through his notes. I walk over to them.
“Hey,
what you doing here bro?”
Max
looks me up and down. “Damn, look at you all dressed up.”
I
give him a twirl. “Yeah, Ryan and I have our presentation
today. Then we are free for a week, yay spring break!”
Paige
smiles at me. “You look great.”
Max
snaps a picture on his phone.
“Max,
don’t piss him off. I will see him in two hours.”
Laughing
he shrugs at me. “Hey, it’s my job to piss off my
brother.”
I
hug both of them and leave, knowing my phone will blow up any minute.
Ryan and I walk into class. Some of the guys make jokes about us
getting married, but out of the whole class we actually look
professional. Agent Daniels looks impressed as we take our seats and
wait. Ryan is still going over his notes until we get called. My
hands sweat with nerves as we give our ten-minute talk about our
company, and why we think our product will suit the needs of business
and home computer protection. After the two hours is up, and the
whole class has finished our presentations we all clap and rush out
of the room to start our spring break.
I
give Ryan a hug. “Enjoy your week off.” I wave, walking
back to my car and checking my phone surprised to see no texts or
voicemails. After driving around into the parking lot of the
apartment, I walk up the stairs opening the door to find it quiet.
“Knox,
you home?” I call, walking into the hallway searching the
apartment but it’s empty.
Pulling
my phone out, I call him. “Hi babe, where are you?” I
ask when he answers.
“Hey
darlin’. I’m over in coffee Joe’s. You wanna meet
me?”
I
sigh. “Sure I’ll be five minutes.”
Grabbing
my purse, I leave the apartment. When I arrive at the coffee shop I
don’t see him. What the heck? Pulling out my phone again I call
him.
“I’m
here Knox. Where are you?”
“Oh
sorry darlin’. I had to run to the bar. Come down to me.”
Ending
the call, I march down the street to the bar and pull on the door but
it’s locked. I shake the handle a few times and bang on the
door. What the hell is going on?
“Knox,
it’s me!” I shout through the glass and bang again. After
five minutes I give up thoroughly pissed off I call him but it goes
to voicemail “Seriously Knox, what the fuck?” I leave on
his message.
Walking
back to the apartment, I pull my sunglasses on avoiding the stares
from people as much as I can but campus is deserted now anyway. I
climb up the stairs again and open the door. Stepping inside, I see
red rose petals scattered on the floor so I follow the trail to the
sitting room. The door is closed so I open it and see a new black
leather sofa, black coffee table and end tables with about ten
bunches of roses placed everywhere and a note on the table. Picking
it up, it just has a picture of a bed on it. Smiling, I walk back
down the hall to our room. Opening the door, I find Knox sitting on
the bed holding a bunch of flowers.
“Hi.”
I smile at him.
“Hello
darlin’.”
I
practically run across to him. Standing he picks me up and spins me
around.
“What’s
all this for?”
Kissing
me softly, he puts me down handing the flowers to me. “I just
thought you deserved something beautiful like you.” My eyes
tear up so I blink furiously. “Come on, darlin’. You and
I are going to get lunch.” For the first time I notice he is
wearing his black jeans and the shirt I got him for Christmas.
Taking
his hand we walk out. “Can we drive, babe? My feet hurt from
traipsing after you.”
Laughing,
he nods his head. “Sure. Anything you want, darlin’.”
He takes me to a small place in Marion just off the boardwalk; it’s
like a cottage transformed.
“So
we have a week off. I am so relieved.” I smile at him.
“I
was thinking about that and maybe you should go to Grove.”
My
head snaps up. “What? Why? No, babe. I want to spend this week
with you.” I am kind of hurt about this.
“I
mean we go to Grove, Bailey. The four of us.” I relax a little
as I listen to his idea of us, Max and Paige going to Grove on Sunday
morning and staying until Thursday morning.
“Yeah,
I’ll think about it,” I tell him as our food arrives.
Knox
talks as I listen through out lunch. He has decided that I need to
get away from all the drama here and the dead rose sender, which I do
want to. But Grove? I don’t know if I want to do that. After
lunch we walk down the boardwalk.
“You’ve
been quiet, darlin’,” he says, kissing my knuckles.
“Just
thinking, babe.” He stops at one of the stalls selling
necklaces made of sea- shells and buys me one of the single shell
chains and smiles putting it around my neck.
