hanks to everyone at Avon Books. You're the greatest people to work with and I'm eternally grateful I'm an Avon author. Thanks especially to my editors, Lucia Macro and May Chen, to the fabulously talented folk in the Art Department, and to the team in Marketing, who always do a wonderful job of letting the world know that another Anna Campbell book is about to be unleashed. I'd also like to thank Linda Funnell and her team at Avon Australia, who have been unfailingly supportive to a new Aussie romance author. I'd also like to express my deep appreciation for the sterling efforts of my agents, Paige Wheeler and Nancy Yost.

As always, I would like to offer heartfelt thanks to my critique partner and dear friend, Annie West. Annie, what would I do without you? I'd also like to express my sincerest gratitude to Christine Wells, Vanessa Barneveld, and Sharon Arkell, for their help and friendship. And a big thank-you to all my Bandita buddies on the Romance Bandits blog. You girls never fail to give me a smile and remind me why being a writer is the greatest job in the world. I'd also like to thank my friend Susan Parisi, whose fascinating conversations about the darker side of life launched me on my current writing career.

Above all, my warmest gratitude goes to all those readers who contacted me to say how much they enjoyed my previous books. Your pleasure in my stories is my greatest reward.

About the Author

Always a voracious reader, ANNA CAMPBELL decided when she was a child that she wanted to be a writer. Once she discovered the wonderful world of romance novels, she knew exactly what she wanted to write. Her first historical romance for Avon Books was the multi-award-winning
Claiming the Courtesan,
followed by another Regency noir,
Untouched,
which was featured on several “best of the year” lists. When she's not writing passionate, intense stories featuring gorgeous Regency heroes and the women who are their destiny, Anna loves to travel, especially in the United Kingdom, and to listen to all kinds of music. She has settled near the sea on the east coast of Australia, where she's losing her battle with an overgrown subtropical garden. Anna loves to hear from her readers.
