"I'm coming Jess," Jeff groaned as he slammed his cock deep into her one final time and shot his load in a satisfying stream.

The feel of his dick tightening and throbbing inside of her and the heat of his cum, was enough to send her over the edge a second time. Her fingernails dug deep into the flesh of his back as her pussy clenched and exploded over his dick, leaving her spent a second time.

"That was amazing, Jess."

Opening her eyes, she gave him a lazy smile and nodded. It was better than amazing, she'd never felt so good in her life as she did at that moment.

Jeff lowered his lips to hers and kissed her, a sweet, tender kiss that melted her heart. She was falling for him; hard and fast and she was more than happy to enjoy the ride for as long as it lasted.

Chapter 6

2 Months Later

A knock came at Jeff's office door pulling his attention from what he was doing. Since he was extremely busy he'd given strict instructions to be left alone unless it was an emergency, so he knew it had to be his advisor. "Come in."

The door opened and, as suspected, Cathy strolled into his office shutting the door behind her. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but I just received an odd call from the Dean at the University and he wanted me to pass on a message to you. He'd asked for you personally, but since you've been busy I took the call. I hope that was alright?"

Ah, fuck!

He had been trying to keep his meeting and deal with the Dean under wraps, especially from Cathy. He had kept his relationship with Jessie quiet for now. He felt like an asshole for doing it, but being dumped by the model for the soap star had been bad for his image so he wanted to ensure that his relationship with Jessie was a sure thing before making it public knowledge. However, now that Cathy was about to find out... How did that saying go...? The cat was out of the bag.

Keeping his expression blank he stopped what he was doing and looked up at Cathy and nodded. "What was he calling about?"

Cathy frowned and walked over to his desk and sat on a chair opposite him, crossing one thin, shapely leg over the other. "Well, he told me to tell you that if you agree to do some lectures at the school then they would be happy to admit Jessie into the winter program and to consider her tuition paid in full."

Smiling, Jeff reclined back in his overstuffed leather chair. That was the best news he'd heard all week. He hadn't told Jessie about college since he didn't want to get her hopes up, but now that he knew that it was all worked out, he couldn't wait to go see her with the news. Just thinking about the excited look on her face when he told her made his heart flutter in his chest.

"Senator?"

Cathy's voice brought his mind back to the issue at hand: disclosing his relationship with Jessie to Cathy. He groaned inwardly as he prepared himself for a lecture. "That's fantastic news Cathy. Thanks."

He knew he wouldn't be able to get away without explaining and, as anticipated, Cathy remained rooted in the chair, eyes narrowed at him. "
Who
is Jessie and
why
are you striking deals that will monopolize your time on her behalf? Your schedule is so full - how are you going to fit in time to give a course of lectures?"

Jeff sighed,
here we go
. "Jessie is a woman I've been seeing for a couple of months now and since she wants to go to college, but doesn't have the resources, I decided to surprise her and strike a deal with the school so she can attend for free."

"She's
poor
?" Cathy's frown deepened. "She wants to go to college? She's not even a college graduate? How old is she? What does she do for a living now?"

Jeff could feel a headache coming on so opened the top drawer on the left hand side of his desk and pulled out a bottle of ibuprofen. Shaking a few from the bottle, he tossed them in his mouth and chased the pills down with a cup of coffee served to him, by his sweet Jessie earlier that morning.

"She has some financial difficulties yes. She's a hostess at the coffee shop a couple miles away and she hasn't attended college yet because she's twenty-one," he paused for a moment, "No, make that twenty-two." He gave Cathy a lopsided smile, "it's her birthday today."

Cathy's mouth dropped and seconds later she erupted in a bout of laughter. Once she had her laughter under control, she wiped a tear from her dark eyes and looked up at him sternly. "I assume that was a joke. You're not laughing with me and that concerns the hell out of me, but I'm going to take it that you’re joking."

Jeff shook his head and shrugged. "Sorry, I'm not."

"Do you realize what this can do for your image? The press will have a field day with this when they catch wind of it. A barely-legal waitress!"

"Hostess," he corrected in an attempt to lighten the air a little, but all he received was a nasty glare from Cathy.

"Is this some sort of early mid-life crisis, Senator? Forgive me if I'm being out of line here, but I'm concerned about your career, about this office. You're over a decade older than her, Jeff!"

"Look Cathy, I appreciate your concern over this and your concern for this office. The thing is that I care for this woman and she makes me happy and I'll be damned if I'll sacrifice my personal happiness for fear it'll hurt my career."

Silence overtook the room for the span of several beats before Cathy threw her hands up in defeat and stood. "Fine. So be it." Grabbing a pen and a notepad from his desk she poised herself to write. "What's her name and address?"

Confused at the sudden interest Jeff frowned. "What? Why?"

"Well, it's her birthday right?"

With a sigh Jeff leaned back in his chair, "Yes it is."

"Did you send her flowers yet?"

With a laugh Jeff shook his head. "Nah, I didn't get…"

"Then I'll handle it. I suspect the meeting you have scheduled for six will run late."

Shit! The six o'clock meeting! I'm supposed to be picking her up at six-thirty.

He'd forgotten about the six o'clock meeting, and he was certain Cathy was right about it running late. That being the case, he'd be lucky to be at Jessie's by eight that night. "I appreciate that Cathy, I really do."

"No problem, Senator. Anything else you need?" She asked reaching for the door handle to let herself out.

"No, but thank you...  for understanding."

Giving Jeff a final tight smile, Cathy nodded and let herself out.

The doorbell sounded, taking Jessie away from her decision on which dress to wear for Jeff that night. He had told her on the phone earlier that he'd be late, but had a surprise for her. Jessie was used to the late meetings and occasional cancelations by now. He had obligations and she was both fine and understanding of that.

The doorbell sounded again.
Geez, impatient or what! Let me get to the door.

She reached the door and swung it open just as a third set of chimes rang throughout the house. Standing at the door was a tall, middle-aged, dark-haired woman - with her hair tied up in a severe-looking bun - holding a bouquet of flowers.

"Can I help you?"

"Are you Jessie Greene?" The woman asked, giving her a critical once over.

"Yes, would you like to come in?" Jessie stepped aside to let the woman, who she assumed to be part of Jeff's staff, step inside.

"No, I'm fine. These are from the Senator," she passed the flowers over and Jessie could tell by the expression on her face that giving her the flowers wasn't the only thing that brought her to Jessie's doorstep. "Do you care for the Senator, Jessie?"

Confused by the suddenness of the question Jessie nodded. "Yes, of course I do. Why are you asking?"

"You see Jessie, the Senator has to take care that his image doesn't become tarnished and his
relationship
," she spat out the word as though it were something dirty, "with you could seriously jeopardize his career. So, if you care for him like you claim to, then you'll walk away from him before you damage the career it has taken him years to establish."

"I…" Jessie's mouth opened, but words couldn't seem to make their way out to respond. It wasn't as though it mattered anyhow; whoever it was that presented her with the flowers, didn't wait for a response. She simply turned on her heel and stormed down the porch steps, hopped into her car and sped off, while Jessie stood watching.

"Hey Jess, who was at the door?"

The sound of Rebecca's voice shook her loose from her thoughts. "I don't know. They dropped off flowers from Jeff, told me to stay away from him and just took off."

"What?" Crossing her arms over her chest, Rebecca gave her a confused look. "They told you to stay away?"

"She told me if I cared for him that I'd walk away before I ruined his career."

Giving Jessie a sympathetic smile, Rebecca draped an arm around Jessie's shoulders and ushered her back into the house, closing the door behind them. "That makes no sense. Whoever that was, forget her."

Jessie agreed, but the woman confirmed what Jessie had been suspecting all along but didn't want to face. His relationship with her could end his career. A U.S. senator and a girl from a coffee shop – just about the most unlikely combination ever! The thought had nagged frequently at the back of her mind, but she'd ignored it.

Did the same worry trouble Jeff? How much time did they spend in the presence of other people? She thought long and hard about it and came up to the conclusion that it was virtually no time - they were always alone together. They'd gone to a few movies, and gone to dinner at low-trafficked restaurants from time to time, but that was about it.

Since she loved her time alone with him she'd been happy with their arrangement - until now. She found herself suddenly glad he was going to be arriving late, because she had a lot to think about before she saw him.

After taking a half hour run home, to get changed, and prepare the backyard for the dinner he had planned for Jessie, he found himself showing up at her door a little past eight. As usual, he hadn't made it out of the car yet, and she was already outside and making her way towards him.

He immediately noticed a difference in her demeanour. She was usually bubbly and overjoyed to see him, but today she seemed solemn, which was confusing since just a few hours ago she had been in high spirits. Not bothering to shut his door he hurried around the front of the car and met her a few feet from the vehicle.

"What's the matter?" he whispered against her hair as he pulled her into his strong embrace.

Pulling away, she gave him a smile which didn't quite carry up to her eyes. "Can we talk about it in the car?"

"Sure. Of course." He slipped an arm around her shoulders, opened the passenger door and waited until she was settled before closing it behind her.

"So, what's going on?" he asked slipping behind the steering wheel, turning on the car and shifting it into gear. She didn't speak until he was pulling into the driveway of his own house and shutting off the car. The longer he waited for her to reply, the worse the sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach became.

"Will it ruin your career if people find out about us? Is that why when we're together, we are either alone, or we go someplace where we won't catch attention?"

Jeff's body froze, with his hand on the door handle.
Why in the hell is she asking this now?
As soon as the thought come into his head, Cathy's image came chasing after it. "You've been speaking with Cathy haven't you?" He released the door handle and turned in his seat to face her, capturing her blue eyes with his.

"The thoughts have come to mind before, but I didn't want to think about it. The woman that showed up with the flowers put things into perspective."

Shit
.

"Let's go into the house." Without waiting for her to respond he exited the vehicle, with Jessie following suit.

Taking her hand, he led her through the house and out into the back to the bench by the fountain. He sat down on the bench, gave her hand a tug to pull her down to him and wrapped his arms around her waist, so she was seated with her back against his chest.

"I won't deny that part of the reason I kept our relationship on a low profile was because I didn't want to give anyone a reason to take swings at me. But that hasn't been the motivation since the first couple of weeks."

"But…"

"However, it's mostly because I'm a greedy man. I love what we have together. I love that you're not involved in politics, or with some cause, or that your family doesn’t own some corporation that would like to contribute to my office if things go their way and my relationship with their daughter continues to be a good one."

She turned in his arms to face him and tears threatened to escape the bright blue eyes he loved waking up to seeing in the mornings. Placing a hand on her face, he caressed her cheek with his thumb. "Can I tell you a little secret?"

She didn't speak, but simply nodded.

"Before I finally asked you over to dinner, I'd go out of my way each morning so I could stop at that little coffee shop where you work. And I didn't do it for the coffee, no offense honey, but the coffee there is horrid stuff."

She giggled and a smile touched her lips, warming his heart. "It isn't the greatest, is it?"

He shook his head in confirmation. "No, it's pretty bad. But I endured the crummy coffee because each morning I'd get to see you and you'd give me that sweet smile and flirt a little and so whatever type of morning I had, I always felt good by the time I left."

Slipping his hand behind her head, he lowered his lips to hers. "I love you. I've loved you from the first date, Jess." A weight lifted from his shoulders at the admission. Even though he had felt it, that was the first time he'd openly admitted it to her. He kissed her tenderly, and she moaned as his tongue slipped past her parted lips.
