Like the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, VA where the Band Devil’s Reich held their concert.

The Chamberlain Hotel on Ft. Monroe.  Ethan and Ava would have been near the red and white building near the lower left. The Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel is located about 200 feet to the left of this picture.

We are looking at a part of Norfolk VA called Willoughby Spit.  I lived there from 1987 − 1991 almost out to where the bridge is in the bottom half of the picture.  The top of the picture is Ft. Monroe.   This is where the tunnel pops up and heads to Hampton VA.

Here’s another shot of the bridge tunnel

Here’s one of the big C-141s

I lived in Norfolk/Virginia Beach from 1987 − 1991.  I worked at a radio station in Virginia Beach called Joy 95 and one in Hampton 101.3 2WD.  I did the morning shift and I was finished everyday at 9am.  I either read, sailed or fished nearly every single day.  Once in a while I would do all three.

Often times we would head out 50 miles to the Gulf Stream and catch several hundreds of dollars worth of fish that we would sell to pay for gas to do it again the next day.

It was during this time of being single and carefree that the bones of this story were formed.
