He had laughed reaching a door and pushing it open with his foot, before gently placing her on the king-size bed.

Pulling back he had taken in her flushed features, the way she had looked so uncomfortable to be there, before once more admiring how lovely she looked. Needing to move from her he had turned opening a drawer from the large chest close by pulling out a pyjama top and passing it to her.

“I’m afraid we don’t have any women’s night clothes, so I hope this will do”.

Jenna had given a small smile of thanks, doubting that any of the women who stayed over at his house needed night clothes, the thought sending a strange jealous stab through her.

“Thank you, I’m sure it will be fine”.

She had replied yawning softly as the pain killers had started to take effect feeling her eyes growing heavier. Seeing this Ryan had stood back and moved to the door.

“Sleep well Jenna Long”.

He had said gently before moving back out of the room.

With a small sigh Jenna had removed her t-shirt and mini skirt, for once glad of the skimpy uniform, which she was able to remove quickly and easily before pulling on the top which swamped her small frame, requiring her to roll up the sleeves several times. Finally she had slipped between the sheets, the softest she had ever felt, sighing with pleasure as she had sunk into the luxurious bed, sleep quickly taking her.

It was several hours later that Ryan Trudeau had gently knocked on her door, slipping quietly into the dark room to ensure that she was OK. He had seen her enveloped within the satin sheets her hair fanned around her lovely face, lashes brushing against her perfect complexion. One arm was thrown over her head and the other draped over her stomach. His eyes had been drawn to the V of the shirt top, her creamy cleavage visible, the sight causing an unexpected rush of desire to flood through him. He had remembered the way he had treated her, hearing the story of how she had saved his brother and the story of how she had been angry at Tom when he had first tried to seduce her making him realise that this woman was different, the thought not unpleasant. Her breathing was soft and deep and for a few seconds he had stood staring down at her, remembering the long shapely legs now hidden before he had shaken himself and moved back out of the room.

The following morning Jenna had awoken, her eyes blinking in confusion as she had taken in her opulent surroundings, pushing the bed sheets from her and swinging her legs over the king-size bed before the memories had fully returned. Standing, the pain in her foot had caused her to moan as the events of the previous day had flooded painfully back, and she had sworn gently under her breath.

Hopping slowly, each small jump agony, she had made her way to the bathroom, once more gasping at the beauty of the room, with its large walk in power jet shower and marble interior.

“How the other half live” she had chuckled to herself, her lovely mouth breaking into a large grin. Using the work-tops to move around she had been glad to find that there was tooth brushes and tooth paste and other toiletries for guest uses, and quickly cleaned up feeling better instantly.

Moving once more from the bathroom, she had again moved back towards the bed, where her clothes sat neatly folded on the bedside cabinet, her face creased in concentration, ignoring each stabbing pain as she hopped. Halfway there, she had lost her balance, and instinctively her foot had moved to the floor to steady herself, the flash of pain allowing the small high pitched yelp to leave her. Groaning, she had heard the sound of footsteps as the door to the room had been flung open and once more she was faced with the stranger from the previous evening.

Ryan had heard the small noise, and dropping the paper he read, he had ran to her room, flinging it open, not sure if she was hurt. She was stood in the middle of the room, balancing precariously on one foot, her face still showing the pain of whatever had happened. He had stopped instantly and the two had looked at each other, her look wary his full of concern.

“Are you OK?”

He had cried, holding down the soft moan which rose within him seeing her. She was beautiful. Wearing his pyjama top which swamped her falling to her knees, the collar revealing the soft creamy flesh and the shape of her breasts, her long black hair had swung freely around her back and shoulders. She was stunning and he had found himself staring at her.

“I am fine”.

She had eventually managed, as she had once more made a small hop towards the bed. Ryan had quickly moved forward, ready once more to swing her into his arms as he had done the previous evening, once more remembering how the feel of her there had sent strange sensations through him. She however, had pushed her arms to stop him.

“No...no more carrying”.

Her voice determined, as he had moved an arm around her waist allowing her to hold onto his shoulder for support to let him to guide her back to the bed, where she had flopped down breathing a sigh of relief.

Finally on stable ground Jenna had looked up at the tall man towering over her, his features showing concern. Again she was struck with just how gorgeous he was, his black hair neatly tailored against his face. That morning he wore jeans and a t-shirt which showed off his lean muscular body, and quickly averting her eyes she had hoped he had not caught her staring. He really was the most perfect man she had ever seen.

“Why don’t you go back to bed”?

He was saying his voice soothing.

“I will have some breakfast sent in for you and you can relax”.

Looking around she had seen the time on the clock gasping.

“It is 9 in the morning...........I can’t lie in bed any longer”.

She had cried seeing the look of surprise enter his eyes.

“Miss Long”.

He had spoken the words as though talking to a defiant child, Jenna gritting her teeth.

“You had quite a day yesterday. You are most likely still in a little shock and you have injured your foot. So be a good girl and just get back into bed”.

She had fixed him with a hard look.

“Mr Trudeau”.

She had bitten out his name with barely contained anger.

“Firstly I am not your good girl........and secondly I sprained my ankle not my brain, so I would appreciate it if you did not talk to me like I was your 3 year old niece”.

Ryan Trudeau had burst into laughter. His eyes dancing as he had looked back at her. Tom had told him of how she had chastised him when his body guard Bruno had forced her to his table, but no woman had ever talked back to him as she had just done and he had found that it only added to the appeal of this woman.

Inclining his head he had smiled back at her.

“My apologies.........I certainly would not want to mistake you for my niece”.

He had chuckled, seeing as despite her best efforts, her lovely mouth had twitched before breaking into a smile, her eyes had looked beseechingly into his.

“Please.......I will just get dressed and then if you don’t mind.........I will catch a taxi back to my hotel.......and I will be out of your hair”.

Frowning slightly he had fixed her with a more serious gaze.

“I really don’t thing that is a good idea”.

As she had opened her mouth to argue, he had lifted a hand to silence her.

“Let me show you something before you rush into making your decision”.

With that he had risen and left the room, returning a minute later with several papers in his hand. Moving to sit by her on the bed, he had handed her each paper, all of which had the story of Tom Trudeau’s close brush with death as their front cover story. All of the papers were interested in the mysterious woman who had saved the heart-throb’s life, many offering rewards for more information. She had looked at him in horror, shocked to see her picture plastered on all of the tabloids, seeing as he had looked back her sombrely.

“I had people go to your hotel room earlier this morning to collect your belongings, but when they got there they had to fight their way through the mass of media camped outside waiting for your return”.

Jenna had sighed as he had continued.

“Now I imagine if you are an actress or a model Miss Long..........this will no doubt do your career a whole lot of good”, he had stopped seeing the horrified look she had thrown at him.

“I am not an actress...or a model Mr Trudeau............and I certainly don’t need”, she had gestured open-armed at the papers strewn around the bed “this”.

“Godddddddddd..........what is all the fuss about............really nobody got hurt”.

With a small snorting noise she had added, “Except perhaps me”.

Her eyes had looked hauntingly into his.

“What do I do?”

He had smiled sympathetically at her.

“Well............firstly you can call me Ryan”.

She had given a return small smile.

“Only if you call me Jenna” she had said, seeing as he had nodded.

“Then..........stay here”.

Jenna had groaned once more.

“I don’t want to stay here and be a nuisance”.

She had cried, her eyes looking deeply into his.

“When you came home last night I bet you were just looking forward to a peaceful night...........not to be landed with all this”.

Ryan had held her eyes with his, his full of emotion.

“This........was much better to come back home to than the news that my baby brother was dead”.

He had said softly, his eyes showing his gratitude for what she had done, causing a warm sensation to rush through Jenna, who had blushed, averting her eyes, once more feeling the strange pull of the man so close to her.

With a small smile she had chuckled softly.

“Well when you put it that way.............I guess that I appreciate your offer”.

Her eyes again flying to his, “But I really don’t want to get in anybody’s way”, seeing as he had laughed once more, rising quickly to his feet.

“Tell you what if you become a nuisance, we will lock you in here and keep your crutches from you”, Causing Jenna to laugh loudly, the sound pleasant to Ryan’s ears as he had grinned down at her, before moving out of the room and quickly returning with a set of crutches and her hold-all with all her belongings.

Seeing her things had brought an instant smile of relief to her face, not knowing what she was expected to wear and she had thanked him pulling the bag to her, seeing as he had nodded softly before moving from the room.

Minutes later Jenna had moved from the bedroom, having taken time to clean up the room and make her bed, an act that was complicated by her injury. Moving into the living area the smell of warm toast had caused her stomach to rumble gently and she had sat down on one of the chairs at the large pine table that took centre stage in the open plan kitchen complete with every appliance you could conceivably imagine. Ryan Trudeau had then pushed a mug of tea into her hands and sat down with his coffee, placing the stack of toast between the two. With a smile she had reached over to the milk before looking up at him.

“How did you know I drank tea?”

She had asked, seeing as he had looked back at her smugly.

“Ah, elementary my dear Watson” he had chuckled.

“Don’t all English women drink tea?”

Jenna had smiled back before snorting softly.

“I am sure they do”.

She had replied in mock indignation but I am not English......I am Scottish”.

He had let his head fall forward in shame, sighing.

“Failed”

Jenna laughing back at him, liking Ryan Trudeau very much.

Just at that point, she had heard the sound of his younger brother, Tom moving into the kitchen, his warm friendly smile full of concern for her as he had sat down between the two, asking question after question about her health and how she felt. Finally with a laugh she had thrown up her hands in defeat.
