The greys reformed and then came in fast once again. Draylon grabbed the wooden staff and held it aloft, and out of the massive crack on the icy battlefield came an enormous mass of water. A giant shield of water shot up high in the sky creating an absolutely huge wall. Several grey craft hit the wall of water and lost control, crashing to the ground and exploding causing further avalanching. Glaciers shattered at the sound of the explosions, and the surface cracked further devastating the whole area.

Draylon threw down the staff and turned to face the incoming attack once again. It was too late. Draylon took several direct hits to the face, knocking him hard to the ground. He tried to crawl back up, but it was useless. He opened his eyes, nothing. Draylon could not see.

Chapter Eleven – Foresight

Paul was wandering around his flat worrying. He hated that he had no clue what was going on. He tried sitting down and flicking through the hundreds of channels that he now had on his TV, but could not get comfortable. Paul decided to wash the DeLorean and the Suzuki, and when he had done that he started cleaning the flat from top to bottom, nothing worked. All he could think about was the battle. He prayed that his friends were OK; unbeknown to him that Draylon had taken the war into his own hands.

And then all of a sudden, thud! His legs gave way and he fell to the ground. He put his hands to his head and screamed out loud. His head pounded uncontrollably, more so than ever before, and then the vision. The vision came with such clarity. Paul recovered, and then stood up slowly, gaining his balance. He looked white as a ghost. In his vision he saw Draylon in immense pain, and crawling. He was blinded.

Paul was frantic. He didn't know what to do, he racked his brains and in his desperation he suddenly thought of the archangels. It was his only hope. They had to play a part in this, surely, but how was he to contact them, he did not know.

Paul shouted aloud, “Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, Raphael, please help. Draylon needs you, please!”

Paul fell to his knees and sobbed, and hoped with all of his heart and soul that the Archangels heard his call.

Chapter Twelve – Resolution

A stunning white light appeared in the heavens. It made its way at an astounding speed towards Earth. As the entity neared it could be seen in all of its glory. It appeared to be in the shape of a man, with beautiful yet powerful outstretched wings spanning many metres. The form was an awesome bright mass of beautiful white light.

The entity landed with ferocious speed, cracking the ice of Antarctica beneath its feet. The enemy craft blasted furiously at the unidentified being, and the blasts were easily deflected by the raising of the right hand of the being of light.

The entity walked towards Draylon, and in a deep resonating voice said, “Draylon, look at me.”

Draylon managed to heave himself up to face the direction of the being. The beautiful white being held aloft his left hand and touched it to Draylon's blinded eyes. Seconds later Draylon rubbed his eyelids and blinked quickly, not quite understanding what the bright light was that he was now immersed with.

“I-I can see,” said Draylon excitedly.

Draylon gazed awestruck at the being, and then he looked up at the sky. Another three beautiful white lights appeared and shot down towards the battlefield at lightning speed, cracking the ice as they landed at Draylon's side.

“I am Michael.”

“I am Gabriel.”

“I am Uriel.”

“And I am Raphael” said the being that healed Draylon's sight.

All of a sudden Draun swooped in for an immediate attack. Vilandar mimicked his move and came in at ferocious speed. They loosed all firepower, everything that they had. The archangels stood in line, all of them in their angel form, beautiful white entities with awesome and powerful outstretched wings. The archangels drew in their mighty wings to shield themselves, and were an impenetrable force. The firepower of the greys was useless.

Draylon darted in, and using his telekinetic ability caused the two saucers to collide with a phenomenal force. Vilandar's craft crashed to the ground hard, killing him outright. Draun's craft came down hard, but he managed to scurry out with his life intact. Draun sprawled to the ground, and despite his aggressive demeanour, he wept for his friend Vilandar.

The remaining grey saucers quickly got into battle formation and came in for an all-out attack. Michael shot into the sky and outstretched his wings to their full brilliance. He held out his right hand and like an invisible force field caused all of the enemy craft to become still, as if in suspended animation.

Gabriel shot into the sky and seized the left flank. Uriel shot into the sky and seized the right flank. And Raphael shot into the sky and seized the greys from the back of their formation. As the grey attack was halted, Draylon walked over to Draun.

“This world is protected by a power that you could not even begin to comprehend. And thus you have but one choice. Leave, and never come back.”

Draun dragged himself to his feet, his long slender arms drooped at his side. His bulbous large head looking down, and his demeanour utterly defeated. “Earth is at a pivotal point in its technologies, how can we stand idle to that?” growled Draun.

“Not every civilisation seeks war. It is not conquer or be conquered. Your planet is so far away, why would Earth ever seek to destroy it?” said Draylon.

“For the same reasons we sought to destroy Earth of course.”

“You have my word, your planet is safe. Strive for peace, not war, or one day every civilisation will possess a power so great, that in war you'll devastate the foundations of the universe and there will be nothing.”

Draun stood in thought for a while, and then nodded, “you have my word, I will not return. And I hold sway in the government of Terspheriton, therefore I'll do all in my power to ensure that your beloved Earth will never be harmed again. Although you know as well as I, that these humans will destroy Earth without intervention if they carry on the path in which they currently walk.”

“Then let this be a time for change in both our civilisations.”

“Let it be,” said Draun with a hint of a smile.

Draun turned and using his telepathy and a hand gesture he commanded his troops to back down.

The archangels flew back to Draylon's side and took their human forms once again. Michael, a tall powerhouse with long black wavy hair and blue eyes. Gabriel, a lean and muscular build with long blonde straight pushed back hair, and bright blue eyes. Uriel, lean and muscular with black skin, a shaved head, and the most beautiful blue eyes. And Raphael, lean and muscular with black skin, a shaved head, and stunning green eyes. All of them wore black skintight outfits, like that of Draylon‘s disguise, without the head mask.

Gabriel approached Draun, “As a parting gift and a show of gratitude that you choose to end this war, I give you back your friend, Vilandar.”

Draun looked over, and saw his friend climbing out of the wreckage of his craft.

“Thank you!” said Draun with a smile and a nod.

Draun walked off to greet his friend. Draylon walked over also, and insisted that they take his craft back to Terspheriton. Draylon then stood with the archangels and watched as Draun and Vilandar left in his craft. They assembled their troops and then left Earth's atmosphere at the speed of light. It was over; the war was finally over.

Draylon looked at his four friends and smiled, “thank you!”

“You are welcome brother,” said Michael.

“Earth is safe now, and it has a protector,” said Gabriel.

“One that possesses great power,” said Uriel.

“One that owes us a drink,” said Raphael with a broad smile.

“How rude of me, would you like to join me for a drink?” said Draylon beaming.

Draylon using his ability of teleportation opened a portal. They all stepped through it one by one into Paul's living room. Paul looked up from his sofa and almost jumped out of his skin. He immediately recognised Michael.

Draylon smiled and greeted his friend, “It is all over.”

Paul was ecstatic, “thank God!”

“Amen to that,” said Raphael grinning.

“Would you like to join us for a drink at The Rongorongo Inn my friend?” said Draylon, overwhelmed with joy that the war was finally over, and the weight was now lifted from his shoulders.

“I would,” said Paul, awestruck by the magnificent looking archangels at Draylon's side.

Chapter Thirteen – The Rongorongo Inn

It was Sunday the 13th of September 2015, and it was mid-evening. The war was over, and Draylon stood with Paul and the four archangels in a one-bedroom apartment on Easter Island. Draylon looked at the archangels, and imagined that they were going to stand out a bit at The Rongorongo Inn wearing their tight fitting black attire.

“I have some clothing if any of you are interested?” said Draylon.

“You do not like our clothes?” said Michael in his deep voice.

“On the contrary, I like your clothes, although I do believe that we'd be the talk of the town,” said Draylon with a smile.

“Then lead the way brother,” said Michael.

Paul stood slightly nervous in the front room, as Draylon led them to Paul's room where he pulled out a bunch of clothes from a drawer. Minutes later Draylon came out of the bedroom, followed by Michael, Gabriel, Uriel and Raphael.

Paul grinned, “you won't stand out now.”

Draylon and his four brothers were all wearing blue jeans, grey T-shirts and white trainers. Paul shook his head smiling, and then opened the front door to the flat. They all left, destination The Rongorongo Inn.

They arrived at the Inn. They all walked in one behind the other, with Paul at the back. Paul smiled as he entered the bar wearing a smart black shirt. Raphael reading Paul's thoughts, smiled to himself and clicked his fingers, “nice T-shirt,” said Raphael. Paul looked down, and to his utter shock, he too was wearing a grey T-shirt. He looked at Raphael and they both laughed out loud.

Paul was overjoyed; he couldn't believe that he, Paul Gabriel, was at a local bar on Easter Island with four archangels, and an alien-human hybrid, whom is now the protector of Earth. It was the most surreal moment of Paul's life by a long shot, even compared with dying in The Great Pyramid.

They all sat around a large oak table. It had solid oak chairs, and candles lit on the table, the setting was perfect. Michael took the drinks orders and then went to the bar. Michael stood six feet and four inches tall, he had long wavy black hair, penetrating blue eyes, and now, blue jeans and a grey T-shirt. A man in drink was sat at the bar and frowned at Michael.

“You know what they say about men that take steroids?” said the drunken man.

Michael smiled and said, “Yes, they have short tempers.”

Michael blinked his eyes and the man's head instantly fell forward, landing on the beer mat on the solid oak bar. Michael had sent him to sleep, so that his tongue couldn't get him into any more trouble.

Michael arrived at the table with the drinks. Four mineral waters, an energy drink and a pint of lager. Gabriel was sat next to Paul, and when he wasn't looking, he touched his finger to Paul's lager, turning it to water. Paul picked up his drink and took a large mouthful, and then immediately spat it out. Everyone laughed out loud, Paul blushed slightly and Gabriel feeling guilty turned Paul's drink back to lager.

“I am sorry Paul, but I assure you that water is better for the body,” said Gabriel.

“But my life is short, therefore I choose to enjoy its little pleasures,” said Paul, not quite believing that he had answered back Archangel Gabriel.

Gabriel smiled, “good answer. I now have a proposal for you Paul, last name Gabriel.”

Paul went quiet as Uriel placed a wooden goblet on the oak table. The goblet was full.

“Firstly, Draylon, my brother, the powers of the amulet that bestowed to you long life. Your life is not only long, it is immortal, you are very much one of us,” said Gabriel.

Draylon was stunned, “but what about Adriana?”

“I am sorry Draylon. You will see her again one day, but not for a while.” said Gabriel feeling Draylon's pain, he felt that Draylon needed to know, and there was no way to cushion the blow. “That brings me to this. Paul, in that goblet that you see before you is a choice. Choice one, enjoy life's little pleasures and be a great friend to Draylon, until death one day claims you. Choice two, drink from the goblet and be immune to age. You'll still be able to die, but not by natural causes. If you drink from the goblet, you will not age another day, and Draylon will always have you as his friend.”

Paul looked at Draylon. Draylon looked at Paul. The whole table was silent, and all eyes were on Paul, wondering what choice he would make.

“I am overwhelmed by this choice. What a beautiful gift.” Paul wiped a tear from his eyes. “Isn't it strange, I long for life, whilst my best friend, Draylon, whom has lost so much, longs for the reverse, to be with the woman he loves with all of his heart and soul.”

“Thank you Paul. Yes, I love Adriana with all of my heart and soul, but it is selfish of me to long to be with her, whilst I am needed here. I have much to live for, and so many friends, and now brothers. I choose life,” said Draylon, smiling at Paul.

“Then I've made my decision.”

With that, Paul drank deeply from the goblet. Everyone clapped and cheered out loud on the table, and they all drank deeply from their refreshments, slamming the glasses down on the table as they finished.

“Anyone want another?” said Draylon enjoying the mood.

“I'll have the same as Paul,” said Michael.

“And I,” said Gabriel.

“And I,” said Uriel.

“And I,” said Draylon.

“And I'll have a Babycham,” said Raphael, the chummiest and funniest of all archangels.

Paul smiled and shook his head, “OK. Five pints of Lager and one Babycham.”
