in 1221 and revised by him in 1223. The Relaxati supported modification of the Rule. The term is also used of other strongly committed, and usually conservative, groups.

(Jap., ‘Zen board’). Board used in long sessions of
zazen
to prop up the chin in order not to fall forward if drowsiness sets in.

(Heb., ‘songs’). According to the
Sephardim
, the verses and
psalms
recited before the main part of the Jewish morning service. According to the

, they are the hymns sung during and after the
Sabbath
meals. Twenty-five of the better known ones are printed in many editions of the
