Then their mouths met in fury, which turned to whimpering in both of them almost immediately. Tongues tangled and stroked. She felt him using both his hands to mold their bodies while he pressed even harder against her, making the contact exactly right, exactly what she needed.

Gwen’s mouth was freed only to feel him gather her against him more, his relief mingled so intimately with hers that she couldn’t tell what separated them. A vibration of shared pleasure swept over them moments later and they fell to the hard floor. Gwen landed on top of the still throbbing male, who was having an active climax under her that seemed to be lasting forever.

Lucky him, she thought, stroking a hand down his bare chest. She had only peaked lightly.

“Thank you. Sweet joy—thank you,” Dorian said, breathing harshly. “I’ve been ready to explode all day. I needed at least a little relief.”

Gwen turned her face into the curve of his throat. It was just too alluring and she was so tired of not having what she wanted. He smelled so damn amazing.

“I think I hate you, Zade,” she said, using her tongue to lick him, the taste of his skin lighting up her nerves again. “Bond with me—
now
.”

She heard his groan and felt Zade’s hands running across her back and over her hips to pull her flush against him.

“Is that a concession that you need me?” Dorian asked, risking her wrath again, but he needed Gwen to admit that she needed him as much as he needed her.

“Okay—I give up. Yes, I want more of you. I want to ride you until the pleasure is so strong I pass out from it,” Gwen said defiantly, not paying any attention to his laugh.

She decided she would use Zade until she was cured. Even now with a single kissing episode she did indeed feel better. She could only imagine what she would feel after she’d had all he could offer.

Dorian stopped laughing and groaned again when he felt Gwen’s eager tongue move to the other side of his neck and repeat her adoration of his skin.

“That’s enough, you’re addicting yourself further. Stop licking me now,” he ordered, but found he could not bring himself to actually stop her. “It is the Siren’s call pheromones. I know you don’t mean what you’re saying, Gwen. I won’t take unfair advantage.”

In answer, Gwen snorted and let her stubborn tongue blaze a trail down his chest and over his stomach to dip into the edge of his pants. “I may not like that I feel like this about you, Zade, but I definitely mean it. I want all of you—all you have to offer. Give it to me.”

When her hand closed over proof of his desire, another vibration escaped Dorian blasting through both of them unchecked. Her grip on him tightened and he felt her bite his still fully erect sex organ through his uniform pants as her climax echoed back through both of them.

“Stop—I beg you. I promised myself I wouldn’t take things this far. I know you’re not ready to have the relationship I want with you,” Dorian said, shuddering at the pressure of her teeth. “Gwen, raging fires of Helios—please stop. This is not the time to test my limits. I cannot be completely honorable with you.”

“What’s your problem, Zade? You beg me to do things with you and then you beg me to stop doing them,” Gwen demanded, working the fastener of his pants while she moved her tongue back to the edge of them. “Stop being a control freak and let me do as I please.”

When she had succeeded in freeing what she was after, Gwen didn’t give Zade time to beg again either way. She had finally decided to take what she wanted, and Dorian Zade was going to give it to her one way or another.

Remembering what Ania had said about fluid exchange making her feel better, Gwen lowered her mouth over his erection, her teeth raking on the way back up as he grew even harder within her mouth. Zade called out her name in bliss when she repeated the action. She hummed in pleasure to hear the tortured sound of her name on his lips exactly as she’d always imagined.

On the third time her lips slid down and over his length, she drew hard on him as she retreated. Zade gave everything up to her then like it was his first time to have such an act done. Laughing at how little time and effort it had taken, Gwen still took care to stretch out his climax for him as long as she could.

The vibrations Zade produced as he was being pleasured were relaxing and spread a contentment over her she had rarely felt. To make it last as long as possible, Gwen kept her mouth on him until the last vibration finally faded away to a soft echo.

When she turned loose of him at last and raised her head to meet his gaze, Dorian took advantage of the moment to drag her forcibly up into his arms, making her snicker at his trembling hands on her. He hugged her while he kissed her face and her hair, murmuring endearments and gratitude prayers in the Siren tongue. She wasn’t as fluent in it as some other languages, but she didn’t need to be to know he was just being a very grateful male.

Surrendering to his thanks, Gwen laughed softly and let herself share his contentment. Draping herself over him, she arranged her long body over his until she could breathe in his scent unimpeded.

“If you ever carry me naked through the halls of this ship, I’m going to kill you first chance I get,” she warned, meaning every word.

Dorian smiled at the threat, not believing it for a moment.

“I would never dishonor you that way. I was threatening the warrior, trying to negotiate a surrender,” he said softly, stroking her hair. “I didn’t realize it would be mine.”

Surprised by his admission, Gwen laughed while he cuddled her. “I hate being controlled, Zade. I’m used to going after what I want, not having it doled out to me at someone else’s convenience.”

“You have given me a new appreciation for that particular trait,” Dorian admitted, every concern in him easing when she cuddled closer. He was about to suggest they go to his room when the intercom lit with a flashing light. The demand for him had him sighing in disappointment.

“Lieutenant Zade, there’s a passenger debarking from the supply ship who is insisting on seeing you. She said to tell you it’s about your special delivery.”

The intercom was quiet afterward, but they both knew it was only a matter of moments before they would come on and repeat the message again until he responded.

“I believe the special delivery is your supply of organics from Rylen,” Dorian said, frowning. “And I believe my mother sent it by messenger. I feel another Siren onboard. Their energy signature is like high-note music.”

Gwen lifted her head and looked at him, reading the truth easily in his expression because his frown told it to the world.

“Are you worried I won’t want to do this again if I’m cured of my addiction?” she asked, her intuition nailing it with virtually no effort.

Dorian twisted his neck and raised a hand to point at it. “Yes. Lick here. I think you missed a spot,” he said, feeling dizzy with relief when Gwen only laughed at his confession.

“Zade—
Dorian
,” Gwen said, testing his given name on her tongue. “I still want to ride you until you scream. But after what we just did, I am hoping you last a little longer when we get to that.”

Grunting, Dorian rolled her over and braced his weight on his knees and arms to pin her to the bare floor. Seeing her smile to be under him was as a good as what they had just done because it carried hope of a relationship deeper than mere bonding.

“I think I did fairly well for that being my first real physical release in almost a century,” he said quietly.

Gwen laughed outright then. “Are you expecting me to have compassion for your lack of endurance? Boy—have you got a lot to learn about me.”

“It is merely an explanation of Siren biology and the effect of abstinence on it,” Dorian said reasonably.

“Well it’s an original excuse at least,” Gwen said, not bothering to stifle her amusement.

“Laugh. I do not mind,” Dorian said confidently, pushing up and standing. “Swear at me all you want from now on too. I won’t do anything but smile because I’ll be thinking of the other talents of that disrespectful mouth of yours. I have become your ardent fan and intend to be your truest friend.”

Dorian kept his gaze on Gwen’s knowing smile as he stood over her and fastened his pants. Then he reached a hand down to pull her to her feet. He caught her into a genuine embrace, relieved again when she let him hug her. “Forgive me for forcing you to kiss me. It is the Siren’s call. It is irresistible, even for those of us who create it.”

Gwen snorted as she pulled away from him. “You did notice that I wasn’t the one who caved first. I was doing okay until you showed up here looking for me.”

Dorian mockingly glared at her as he walked to the computer console. He didn’t care how it happened today. Soon he was going to make his stubborn warrior surrender, and he would thoroughly enjoy every second she spent begging him to take her.

If it was his role in her life to keep Gwen Jet humble—so be it, Dorian thought as he pressed the intercom. “This is Zade. I’m on my way.”

He let go and headed back to where Gwen now stood.

“I just hope my visitor isn’t some random female off the supply ship who picked up the vibrations we just shared. Maybe you better come along in case I get accosted on my way to the dock,” Dorian said, half teasing, but also half serious.

Gwen bent to retrieve his discarded shirt and tossed it to him. “Why? Afraid for your virtue, Zade?”

“Yes, actually. My virtue is only yours to enjoy,” Dorian said, unable to keep the happiness about it from his voice. “But I do not find any pleasure in pushing away crying females. I may look like I don’t care, but my compassion stills draws me to meet their needs. It is uncomfortable and makes me feel disloyal to you. I would just as soon avoid those conflicts completely.”

The idea that Zade intended to be sexually faithful struck a resonating chord in her. Not sure how she felt about him being so committed to her, Gwen frowned.

“What do you expect me to do about such things? Walk beside you all the time and fight the females off?” she demanded.

“Just until the Siren’s call ends and getting physical should not be necessary. Just walk beside me and glare,” Dorian said, coding the commands into the panel to unlock the door. “That’s all you ever have to do to scare other creatures away.”

“I think that’s probably the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me,” Gwen told him, smiling at the grudging respect she heard in his voice. “I guess I’m better than I thought. You’re really not so bad once you’re sexually satisfied. You are satisfied now, right Zade?”

“Not nearly,” Dorian answered firmly, “but the rest of what I want from you will have to wait.”

Chapter 12

Sarinnea smiled as her favorite Siren male walked into the docking area. She couldn’t stop herself from rushing to throw herself into his arms, even knowing she risked embarrassing him in front of his fellow crew members.

“Sarinnea? This is quite a surprise,” Dorian said, hugging her back in reflex, wondering what had possessed her to travel such a long distance to see him.

When she was done hugging him, Sarinnea kissed his face repeatedly, to Dorian’s consternation, drawing shocked stares from the men unloading the ship. They all looked discreetly away but not before Dorian saw them all smiling.

“Damn—I see what you mean, Zade. I’m glaring, but it’s certainly not working on this female. Do you want me to get physical with her now?” Gwen asked, stepping closer to the small female who finally stopped kissing him when she heard Gwen’s comment. But she still wasn’t turning loose of Zade’s arms.

Gwen took a breath and pulled herself up to her full height to look as intimidating as possible.

“Look—this is really simple. Get your hands off Zade. He’s already taken,” she said firmly, hearing the loud guffaws of nearly every other male in the docking area. Gwen swung her glare to include them, watching them turn away as they fought to stifle their reactions.

“Great. Just great. Now I’ll be kicking asses for the next decade trying to get the crew to take me seriously again. Zade, make her let go of you or I’m going to do it my way,” Gwen said fiercely. “I’m getting really pissed now.”

“Dorian, is
this
the one? A ship’s
commander
? A
warrior
?” Sarinnea stated in shock, laughing and letting go of Dorian at last as she noticed the insignia on the angry female’s uniform shirt.

Sarinnea studied the glaring creature who bore Dorian’s energy signature, noting the female’s eyes were lit with ownership every time she looked at her handsome child. It made Sarinnea smile to see the jealousy for many reasons, not the least of which meant the female’s feelings for Dorian were strong.

Forgetting everything but that this was obviously her child’s new mate, Sarinnea walked to the glaring commander, intending to hug her and introduce herself. Then she saw the commander lean back into a fighting stance. For some odd reason, instead of worrying her it make Sarinnea laugh out loud.

“Sorry—how rude of me to laugh in your face. The shock was just too much.
You view me as a threat, Commander?
I assure you that is not the case,” Sarinnea said quietly. “We share a common affection for Dorian.”
