Prologue

You must send yourself back Drake to save them all or we will lose a second time. I will my love
, I promise, but this time it will be different. I have a plan. I held my dying wife in my hands as I heard explosions all around me, that was when I did what would hopefully save us all and my wife.

I was a
victim of my own power, an outcast, my story starts when I was in 9
th
grade just entering High school, my name is Drake Sarges.

T
his is a little recap of my life up until now. When I was five I was diagnosed with ADHD and started on meds. Not a fun thing to do taking pills at age five, but back in the day that was the thing you did, you never questioned the doctors or their word.

People often d
id not get second opinions. I knew because I wished my mother and father had. They liked to drink a lot more than I liked, and it influenced my life quite a bit.

I am the only child in the house at this time
. Anyway on with the story my story which to be honest Is quite unique. When I first started school I had friends but they began to fade away from me not wanting to have anything to do with me. Why I never knew it made me an outcast.

I remember that I would sit a
t a table for lunch and all of the other kids would get up and move to a different table if they did not they would pick on my until I was forced to leave I sat alone most of my life.

While my parents are drunk now all of the time
, it was not always like that. They used to love me and spend time with me at around age 7. As a result I was forced to raise myself that was around the time they began to drink.

At an early age I learned to read and write as well as math when I saw a problem before me. It is like I am forced to solve it
, as the answer came to me and I just knew how to do it without showing my work.

As a result I was placed in many advanced classes as I grew older when I was ten my parents were offered a chance to let me take college courses on top of regular school.

It took some doing but when they sobered up I got them to sign the permission slip so I began to earn college credits in school. By age eleven I was taking classes in school during summer it was what I did I had no friends at this time.

Until
I met Sandy Davis she was just as smart as me. We began to hang out after classes and she quickly became my best and only friend.

In Ninth grade I found that I woke up for the first day of school as usual my parents were fighting upstairs and as usual both drunk. Listening to them argue was like my alarm clock that is how routine it became for me
, but I was glad there was never violence between them at least.

W
hen not in class or with Sandy, I spent all summer hidden in the basement sheltered in my own little life.

My parents just left me alone
most of the time now. They learned early on that I could not be forced to do something I did not want to do. By the time I was thirteen years old I had more education than almost anyone, but my parents wanted me to finish school as a normal child.  For some reason I felt it was important to do it.

Almost as if by being in school at some point my lif
e will be changed forever, I hoped for a girlfriend before I graduated. I spent a lot of time with Sandy and she was quite a pretty girl, but I never felt a spark with her why I did not know.

                                                                      Chapter 1

I got dressed and went upstairs to brush my teeth and shower before school
.  My dad liked to make sure I remained clean, so I was sure I did after they were both done in the bathroom.  As I brushed my teeth, I recall the fondness of the mint flavored tooth paste I used. Then I showered and got dressed.

I most often got a ride to school from my dad or mom in the tan van that was part of the way to
o many cars we owned.  My parents are probably upper middle class if I could guess. It was funny that my dad never wore a seat belt, but I was always suppose to wear mine by ninth grade while my brothers were out of the house starting their own lives. I drove to school that Monday and was dropped off outside of the school, as usual, my parents did not speak to me. Instead, they just drove off on their way to work. I got out and closed the van door.

A
s I walked up to the twin school doors I entered being stared at by the cameras.  By now it was 2002 and schools where far more afraid of bad things happening since they often did in my school district.  We had several school bomb threats a year, so they watched the silent cattle to make sure we are all safe, an admirable goal I would have to say. I am in a special school program called EBD, not fun I might add, but I had one normal class here as well as my study hall.  This was my home room as well we were beginning to feel the school budget cuts as well they had just let a few teachers go the year before. I walked to the office and got my new locker number.  You usually had to do it before the school year began, but I often forgot so I had to do it again. I have a lot of problems with my memory and this is something the school tries to help me with as the teachers are the kindest people to me in my childhood.

I went to my locker number 203
, two for the second floor, and the rest for the number. I went to it, and placed my books in my locker which was placed right next to the EBD classroom. At this time my friend Sandy Davis came up to me and placed her hands around my eyes surprising me when she said guess who. I went to my first class talking with her.  She was a lovely girl who had problems like me, her dad did drugs and was in jail and her mother was just plain gone so she lived with her grandparents not far from me in town. Sandy Davis is a very attractive girl the same age as me with tan skin from all of the sports she plays.  Sandy also has gold blond hair that she wears in a ponytail and blue eyes, she had vary refined features for a girl her age like she was nobility if that existed in the U.S. these days. Not many people liked either of us so we got along together quite well.

I hoped she was doing
good over the summer as she was busy with camps and sports.  Sandy was a strait A student trying hard to get into college, and at our age we had to begin to worry about that kind of thing, it is just what one did.

As we walked down the hallway I saw I girl my age that I had never seen before
, she must have been new to the town. This new girl was quite lovely with her long red hair and strange orange eyes. I had never seen eyes like those before, but it seemed no one else noticed them being that color that was not normal to me at least. I continued to class and the rest of the day was uneventful.

I got home
. I went to bed dreaming the same dream I always had.

Greetings sire I am glad that you have arrived,” I opened my eyes, I was in this strange place I went to every time I slept. I looked up at Samual, his gray hair and long beard bellied the fact that he was a fierce killer and in tip top shape. I got out of my bed looking at myself as I thought about what I wanted to wear and it appeared on me. I looked at myself in the reflection pool and saw my fine face the same as when I was on earth, my short spiked blond hair as well as my to calm blue eyes that always hid my true self in this dream at least.

So I saw someone new at the human school Samual, it was a girl, the strangest one I had ever seen. She had fierce red hair and orange eyes. My mentor new something of her what do you know of her sire?”

It is not important right now.  How goes the invasion of the Star Empire, is it proceeding on time?”  he asked.

Yes sire, we are pushing them back as you want, why I do not know you have never made your reasons for this war clear.” I smiled, “please, since when have I ever made my reasons known. I created all of you to serve me while my body grows up on Earth, but I wonder just how long I can keep my presence there a secret Samual.

I will send some of the Darius to watch you sire. Yes and on another note, I feel my power beginning to grow in my human body. Soon my powers will begin to show my self the parents you placed me with have been deeply corrupted by my power.  Soon that situation will boil over. I want you to travel there and raise me when they teach me how to reuse my power and do not fail if you all die.”

We all know that well my lord, but you know you are not easily killed, even your human form is strong. I will leave as soon as you go to bed I will arrive in several days as your grandfather.”

Good now let us meet with the vampires, as they have wanted to see me for quite some time now.

I walked in to the Grand meeting room of
the palace.

“W
hat do you need? I have many things to attend to before it is time for me to sleep.”

She
was quite lovely like most of her kind is.

Drake, my lord, it is nice to meet you. I have some news for you.”

I replied, “Y
es what is it Dariea?  What do you need to tell me that I do not already know?”

Dariea
came back with, “I have news the attack is going well as you said it would, but our spies tell us that the princess of the Star Empire has fled.  We do not know her location but we will soon take the empire completely.  What are your orders for when they surrender sire?”

I
bowed deep.  “Take no hostile action with them until I give the order.  Once they surrender I do not want her home planet touched do you understand Dariea? I need it intact for my plans. I see something new coming my way and it will change a great many things since your kind most resemble the humans. Please send your best force to watch my body on earth and make sure that I am protected at all times. That is all Dariea. I need to attend to other things before I must sleep.”

I turned to leave the throne room and went to the meetings for ru
nning my government afterwards and instructed Samual how I wanted to be raised when he arrived to take care of me on earth.

I was soon back to sleep my
memories of this dream fresh with me in my mind as I awoke to my second day of school. I saw Sandy in class that day and talked with her about what I dreamed. For some reason she never questioned me about my dreams she just listened carefully. The bell rang, the teacher came in, and I saw that strange girl with him. She was introduced as Azure Star, lovely for a girl of her age. She was in the same grade as me and wore a nice t-shirt and jeans. Azure was what most guys would consider to be smoking making her instantly popular with everyone. She did not drive everyone off like I had, but I had a feeling now that my actions had more of an effect than I realized. It was like people are afraid to be near me all because I act a little weird, but I am seeing a shrink for that same issue. I even get to see that old man today after school. The new girl sat next to me in class, as it just so happened to be the only open desk in this school. You can choose your own seats but I had the same spot I always chose because I like things to have a structure to them or a certain order.

I sat in class and
listened to the dumb teacher talk about math.  Whenever he did, information on the subject floated up in my mind and I always knew what he was going to say like I the information from his mind without him knowing. Today he was touching on advanced calculus even I knew more about this than he did. I always got an A or better in school but I asked them to keep the fact that I was the number one student in school private and they did my name as number one was blank in the paper when they published it. My school liked to tell people that they had a lot of honor students in this school.
