Now that the wedding had ended, she was watching again, but she was watching Jordan, not Tai. He looked happy and therefore she despised Bethany Donald. What the hell was it with these vampires that made them so damn hard to turn away from?
He kissed her lips, “Be right back.” He walked into the house and she knew this was her chance. She followed him inside.
“I can’t believe you didn’t fight.” She hissed at him from behind.
He sighed and spoke without facing her.
“I am fighting.” No he wasn’t. He wasn’t fighting for them. She knew they had something special. He just had to remember.
“No, you aren’t!” She yelled that was when he looked at her. Oh how she missed those eyes.
“Meredith, I don’t love Tai. I. Love. Bethany.” As he stressed the syllables, she crumbled. How did he not get it? How did he not understand how she felt?
“Jordan, you can’t be serious,” she replied to him. Hurt, confused, and just plain dumbfounded.
“I am. I told you before, Meredith. Tai and I were over. Tai and I should’ve been over long before we were. Why can’t you accept that?” He still thought this was about Tai and him. When they last talked she had explained what they could have. Jordan hung up on her. Was he disgusted with her too?
“Jordan,” she whispered. “I love you and we can only be together if you’re with Tai.” His eyes widened at her words and he looked passed her. She didn’t have to turn around to know Bethany had also heard her confession. She didn’t care, she had to get through to him.
“I’m sorry, Meredith.” Was all he said before he left. He was chasing after her. Meredith couldn’t watch. She couldn’t watch the man she loved chase some other woman.
Tai was married. Jordan was gone. For Meredith, there was nothing left here. It was time to go home to the states. Alone.

Perspective Shift
Perspective is everything...
Tensions running high...
But love...
Well, it speaks volumes.
Before Hunter met Amelia there was Luke and Katrina.
It only took one look and Luke Kirkland was sunk.
Katrina is perfect.
Almost...
As tensions are growing between the werewolf army and the shape shifters Luke and Katrina find themselves falling in love. A love that can’t get out to Luke’s commander.
Luke is a werewolf. Katrina is a shape shifter.
Their worlds aren’t supposed to mix, but maybe together they can accomplish a perspective shift.
He was Luke Kirkland, an officer in the Werewolf Army. His life-long best friend was Hunter Jackson, Captain Hunter Jackson, son of the Commander.
“Hey dude,” Hunter said entering the apartment they shared on base.
“Hey, any luck with the Commander?” Luke asked flatly. Hunter shrugged and shook his head.
“Is there ever any luck with him?” Hunter asked back. Luke just shook his head. “Guess what, though? We’re both up for a promotion.” Luke rolled his eyes. That was just great. A few months ago a promotion would’ve sounded awesome, but both Luke and Hunter were afraid that the Commander was slowly losing his grip with reality.
“So…?” Luke asked.
“No change, he’s convinced he’s going to find something to link the shape shifter community to my mother’s death. Really don’t want to go to war with them, because he wants to blame someone for his own fucking stupidity!” Hunter hissed.
“I sure as fuck don’t either,” Luke snapped. “You have to get through to him,” Luke pressed.
“No one gets through to him, Luke.” Hunter huffed. “Where are you off to? You look like you’re going somewhere.” Well he finally noticed.
“Ummm…nowhere,” Luke answered running his hand through his hair.
“Shit, man, you’re going back over across the line.” Hunter stated, he knew Luke, so questions weren’t something they had to use in situations like this.
“Look, I know you don’t get, but she’s gorgeous I have to introduce myself.” Hunter sighed. “Don’t, man, come on, tell me you have my back?” Luke wasn’t above begging his best friend.
“Always, man, but be careful things will get worse before they get better I fear.” Luke nodded because Hunter was probably right.
“I’ll be careful, wish me luck.” He smirked before heading out the door.
He was back, Luke Kirkland, officer in the Werewolf Army was back. He had been coming to the diner she managed all week long and he always stared at her when she was in the room.
“He’s cute.” A woman sitting at the counter said tossing a look Luke’s way.
“He is, but he’s a member of the Werewolf Army, a high ranking member.” Katrina sighed. Luke was attractive but no way in hell could she go there.
“That shouldn’t matter,” the woman tossed back.
“Except it does, the leader of the army would flip his shit if he found one of his officers dating a shape shifter.” Katrina deadpanned looking back over the woman’s shoulder meeting Luke’s eyes. She was screwed, because she knew she’d never be able to resist him.
“You’re probably right; it’s why my husband tells no one about us.” Katrina’s eyes snapped to the woman. Did she just admit to being involved with a werewolf? “I’m Eryn, if you ever need to talk here’s my number, but don’t throw that away, sweetie.” She left money on the counter to cover her bill, and just left. Katrina stood there trying to process everything. Luke’s eyes never wavered from hers. Yes, she was screwed. In fact, the moment Luke walked into the diner earlier this week she was sunk, it only took one look.
The woman who was at the counter had just left. It was time for him to make his move. He strolled up to the counter more nervous than he had ever been. “Hi, I’m Luke.” Her head snapped down and locked down on the counter.
“Luke Kirkland, I know who you are,” she whispered. Okay, so she knew his full name, that was either a good thing or a really, really bad thing.
“Well, I’m at a disadvantage then.” He smirked, she looked up and smiled.
“Katrina Moore.” Her voice was smooth and Luke sunk even further.
“Well, Katrina Moore, I’ve been coming here all week to see you, how about a date?” He knew he was being cocky, but the truth was, he needed something with substance the last relationship he had was with Melissa Templeton and what was really shitty about that was she was dating Hunter at the time.
‘A knock came to the apartment door. He was alone tonight, because Hunter had gone off to his secret spot. He opened the door surprised to see Hunter’ girlfriend Melissa there, that is if that was what you wanted to call her. She was sleeping with half the unit. Hunter wasn’t blind to it, but turning her loose also meant disappointing the Commander. “Hunter isn’t here, Melissa.” Luke snapped starting to close the door.
She stopped him though, “If I came here to see you?” She asked licking her lips.
“Melissa, go to hell.” Luke hissed.
“Oh come on, Luke, it could be fun. You said yourself Hunter’s not home.” Luke rolled eyes, but let her in.
Luke shut the door, “So Luke, why are you all by yourself?” Luke rolled his eyes at her question.
“Why did Hunter go out on a Saturday night without you?” Luke threw his own back to her crossing his arms finally
She shrugged, “I can do what I please. Hunter won’t get rid of me. He can’t take another disappointment check mark in daddy’s eyes.” She purred running her nails along his arms. He flinched slightly, but he allowed her to keep touching him.
“Melissa…” He tried to warn as her mouth closed in on his.
“Lighten up, Luke, Hunter won’t care,” she muttered seductively before planting her red cherry lips on his.
Luke was powerless to stop her. He kissed her back pushing his tongue into her mouth. She reciprocated with her own tongue and soon Luke was pushing her to the couch. His hands were fisting at her clothes. Parting their mouth he stripped her in record time. “You want this?” He panted as he pulled off his pants and boxers. She responded by licking her lips and Luke’s cock stirred to life. He pulled a condom out of his jeans.
“I’m clean, baby,” she purred.
