“Get. Off. Me.” I could barely fight him now.

“No,” he repeated. He pushed me down onto my bed and hovered over me.

“What are you doing?” I asked in low voice.

“I want you to remember me. I want you to see me everywhere you go. I want you to enter this room and remember me going down into your pants and feeling your pussy,” he said in a soothing voice as he gently peeled back my pants.

“Daimon, no!” I nearly cried out but had to keep it down.

“You can’t fight me here. Your father might hear,” he smiled.

“Daimon, I will scream,” I warned in a hushed voice.

“No, you won’t. You want this and I want to taste you. Over ten years, Addie. Over ten fucking years, I’ve wanted to taste your juices on my tongue. I want to see you come as I eat you all up.” He finally yanked my yoga pants off, leaving me naked from the waist down.

Daimon positioned himself between my legs and slowly spread me, his eyes only looking at my pussy; he then licked his lips as though anticipating the taste.

“I can smell you. You’re already wet.” He sucked in his breath as he leaned down.

“Daimon,” I hissed.

“Shh, Addie, you don’t want your father coming in here and seeing you like this,” he warned. He grabbed onto my thighs and brought them up closer to his face. Daimon closed his eyes and took in one more whiff.

“Hmm…you smell so sweet. I wonder if you taste sweet too.” His hot breath was so close to my wet lips I nearly came from the mere vibrations of his words. I lay in bed watching him as he smiled wickedly. He leaned in and with one long hot swipe of his tongue, he licked me from one end of my pussy to the other. My head fell back as I tried to stifle my moan. Daimon swept his tongue one more time along my seam, but this time, he used the tip of his tongue, barely touching my lips. My heart jumped at the mere heat of his mouth.

“Hmm…so fucking sweet,” he growled low into my pussy. My hands dove into his hair as he began his slow assault.

“You like it slow, don’t you, my Addie? Slow and controlled?” he asked in-between licks. I groaned in the back of my throat, agreeing. Daimon pulled me closer to him, dragging me up as he rose from my bed. He held onto my thighs as he peered down at me, eating away on my soaked labia. He kissed my pussy, his tongue entering me like he would my mouth. My breath hitched as I tried to control my voice. He slowly closed his eyes as he continued kissing and licking. The very sounds of his mouth on me were carnal and wicked, driving me beyond a place I had ever been before.

“Daimon,” I mewled as he sucked on my clit, my nub feeling bruised as he nursed it.

“Daimon…please…” I quietly begged.

“No,” he bit out and he continued to milk my clit. Letting go of my thigh, he slowly eased his fingers inside me.

“You’re so wet. Do you really want me to stop?” he breathed as he watched over me, while I withered, feeling him enter me. “Not one, not two, but three, Addie. Three fingers are inside you.”

I could feel him inside me as he rhythmically swept his fingers over my g-spot. I closed my eyes and rode the wave of emotions as my orgasm flowed through me. I dug my hands into my duvet and came, my juices gushing out.

“Fuck, Addie. You’re so fucking beautiful when you come,” Daimon said in a tortured voice.

I lay on my bed drenched. Daimon smiled as he licked his fingers. I half expected him to continue, but he didn’t. I knew he had a hard-on; I could feel it. I looked up at him wondering.

“No, tonight was about you, and after what I did before, I don't deserve your sweet heat,” he said as he pulled me off my bed and tucked us into Sofia’s bed. I bit my lip, not wanting him to hear me cry.

“Addie, I know I can be an asshole. I know I can be too much at times, but you’re the only one who can understand me. I won’t do it again,” he said into my ear, holding me from behind. I continued to cry, upset that no matter what Daimon had done to me or would do to me, I wouldn’t be able to stop myself.

“Tell me. Tell me why you’re crying?” he begged.

“I can’t keep doing this. I can’t keep giving in to you, because every time I do, I give up a piece of myself,” I admitted. Daimon’s arms held on tighter.

“I know. I know,” he whispered. “Just sleep, Addie.” He cradled me close, holding me the whole night.

Inviting Him In

It was late in March and the snow had begun to finally melt, meaning I would be able to run again. I was eager for the fresh spring air and the chance to rid myself of the winter’s drama. Daimon pretty much withdrew from me and I let him. Over the winter, I took the time to look for classes in NYU for a Masters’ degree in Business. I was keen to further my education. It was something different, not what I initially had planned, but then again, I didn’t know what I wanted to do.

“Mrs. Evans, are you excited?” Ana asked as I was preparing my application, readying it to be sent out.

“Yeah, actually I am. I already have my Business degree and I have pretty high marks. I might have to redo some classes, but I spoke to the administrator and he said I could enter the graduate studies.” I smiled as I sat at the island having coffee with her.

“What does Mr. Evans think about all this?” she asked.

“What do I think about what?” Daimon had come home early, which was a first since the time we had spent together at my father’s house.

He worked late every night since then. He said it had to do with work, but a small part of me wondered exactly how honest he was being with me or himself. The fact was that other than being an asshole to me, Daimon had no clue how to act when I was around.

“That Mrs. Evans has applied to NYU for her graduate degree in Business. I think you’re going to do very well.” She smiled at me.

“Thank you, Ana, and how many times do I have to tell you it’s Addie, not Mrs. Evans.” I made a face at her.

“Okay.” She smiled, leaving Daimon and me alone.

“So you applied to NYU?” he asked, trying to play with Drako, but Drako wasn’t in the mood. I suspected he missed him too much and was acting coy.

“I might have to do some classes over again but I can enter the graduate program,” I told him, still watching as Drako avoided Daimon.

“Good, I’m glad,” he said quietly as he relented and headed toward the bedroom.

I looked at Daimon’s back, it was hunched over and he looked exhausted. I knew there was some sort of major business deal he was working on with Rafe. Rafe actually called and told me to keep an eye on him. Daimon liked to bottle things up when he was stressed. It had been a month since he played his violin and I knew it was an important outlet to him and how he expressed himself. Daimon and I had a relationship like no other, one I could hardly understand myself, yet I was married to him and I had no other choice but to listen to my heart, especially after everything we’d been through. I’d tried my hardest to ignore it over the last few months, but his despondency tore at my heart.

“Come, Drako. Don’t be angry with Daimon. He’s been working hard,” I said as I slid off the counter’s stool and played with him.

I walked over to the library by the window, picked up his violin case and took it upstairs with me. Daimon was in the shower. I placed the violin case carefully down onto the couch and lowered the lights to the bedroom and waited.

“What are you doing?” he asked, finally coming out of the bathroom.

“Waiting for you,” I said as I stood up. Drako on cue ran to him and wagged his tail.

“Did you tell him something?” he asked, pointing at the dog.

“Told him to not be an asshole like you.” I shrugged. Daimon laughed and started petting Drako. “I brought you your violin,” I said carefully, not knowing where I was treading.

“Why?” he breathed.

“Because you need it and I haven’t heard you play in over a month,” I remarked.

“I'm not in the mood to play,” he bit out coldly.

“Daimon…I know I haven’t exactly made things easy for you, and let’s be honest, you’ve been a fucking bastard, but still, can’t we find a way to coexist without constantly butting heads or hurting each other?” I waited, watching Daimon move closer to me.

“I don’t know? Can we? I can’t promise you I won’t be a prick. It’s in my nature.”

“Why is it in your nature? Especially with me?” I asked.

“Because you’re different. Look, I’ve always and will always be this way. So why invite me back in? Aren’t you happy I'm out of your life?” he asked, seeming genuinely intrigued.

“So you have been distancing yourself from me. It’s not just this business deal,” I noted.

“Like you said, I’ll just keep fucking it all up. So there’s no point.” He smiled a toothless grin.

“So that’s why? You’re afraid? Since when?” I scoffed.

“I’m not afraid of a lot of things, until I met you. Now, I'm afraid of your fucking tears. They look so much like my mother’s just before she left. So I keep thinking, what if you leave me too?” he said earnestly.

“I told you, I'm not going anywhere,” I breathed, my heart breaking. As much as he drove me to distraction, as much as he hurt me, my heart still called out to him.

“That’s what she said,” he said, his voice serious. “It’s inevitable, Addie. You will leave and I will be the reason why,” he said flatly.

“I gave you my word. I told you three years. So why are you so anxious?”

He stepped closer to me, closing the gap between us. His smell invited me in while his body towered over me. He slowly reached for my hair as his finger gently caressed the outline of my face.
“You know why I'm worried,” he murmured.

We peered into each other’s face; his sky-blue eyes were melancholy as he brought his hand lightly to my chin. I tried to look down but he wouldn’t let me.

“Look at me,” he commanded softly.

I did as I was told and looked at him. He smiled gently and gave me a chaste kiss.

“We’ll do it your way,” he murmured and lowered his mouth onto mine.

Daimon’s lips were soft and tender as he kissed me. His intoxicating smell enveloped me as I melted. His tongue lightly grazed the seam of my mouth. Pulling away, he smiled contently.

“Just so you know, I was planning on leaving you alone. It’s you who invited me back in,” he winked.

“So don’t make me regret it,” I muttered.

“Can’t promise you that…but I’ll try.” He stood tall and reached behind me taking his case.

“You keep it up and in the end you’re going to die of blue balls,” I mocked, upset he pulled away from me and didn’t continue.

“Sometimes a jerk deserves blue balls.” He unclasped the case and took out his violin.

“I’m assuming since it’s you, it’s expensive.” I looked at it, its color a rich brown and red.

“You can say that. It’s a Stradivarius. Here, look.” He sat me down next to him and began explaining the various parts of his violin. “My favorite part is the scroll.” He showed me the top end of the violin. “I had to restore it. It cost me a pretty penny but I'm glad I did it.” He smiled as he looked it over. “My mom used to quote Beethoven, saying
‘To play without passion is inexcusable.’
She was really passionate about her music,” he murmured.

He then brought it to his neck, rested his head on the chin rest and played. The bedroom slowly filled with Daimon’s unique sound. I pulled my legs up, hugging my knees as he stood. The notes sounded low and heavy as he pulled his bow back and plucked at his strings. Watching him was utterly mesmerizing.

I was lulled to sleep by the quiet spell he cast with his music. I was glad Daimon and I seemed to have found a common ground. I was just afraid of what tomorrow would bring.

“Mrs. Evans, you are up early today,” Ana remarked as she walked in.

“Yes, I have some things to take care of.” I smiled and put on my coat. I hurried, not wanting Daimon to know what I was doing today.

“Do you not want breakfast?” Ana stopped me at the door.

“No, not today,” I said meekly.

I had Ted waiting for me downstairs. I smiled and made my way through the lobby, a part of me wanting to run, only because Daimon would insist on knowing. I turned off my phone, not wanting anyone to interrupt me. I stopped at a local florist and continued on my way without Ted. Ted had gotten a bit irate only because he was fearful of his job; Daimon had threatened him a few times, but I reassured him Daimon would never fire him. I wouldn’t let him. I took a cab the rest of the way. My heart filled with guilt the moment I stopped at the cemetery. I looked at the iron gates and knew I had to cross them to get to where I needed to be.

“Hey, lady? Do you want me to wait for you?” The cabby asked.

“No thanks,” I said as I stepped out.

I stood in front of the gates and took a deep breath. My belly winced in pain and my heart pulled from inside me. I swallowed hard as I made my way through the various tombstones, some eroding and falling apart, while others were new with fresh flowers placed on the ground. I weaved in and out until I reached my mother’s grave. A large bouquet of white lilies lay on the ground before her tombstone. I guessed my father had been here already.
