"Great I'll meet you here at 9. I have a car." He beamed.

She reluctantly nodded. What the hell had Desirae gotten her into? Fabien was laid back and easy on the eyes. She hoped the day wouldn't be awkward.

The crowd began to disperse after midnight. No alcohol meant the hard partiers were going elsewhere during the peak party hours. Carina and Desirae decided to call it a night. Andrea and the guys took off after it became glaringly obvious that there was still testosterone in the building.

Carina showered wondering what she was getting herself into. Fabien was a good looking guy and the way Andrea clung to him made her aware that he was someone important to Andrea. It made her decision to hang out with him a little easier.

She finally fell asleep after several attempts to clear her mind. But when she finally dreamt it was everything she'd been avoiding to think about.

Carina practically ran out of English knowing he was waiting for her. His ocean blue eyes lit up as their gazes locked. His hand extended to reach for her. She grabbed Jaxon's hand, the electrifying spark was instantaneous. Her entire body beamed as they walked. Jaxon's smile was brilliant. He was the bright sun against the dark sky. Nothing compared.

Carina's body vibrated with anticipation. She'd been with other guys before but they paled in comparison to the magnificent Jaxon Wright. She looked at the waist of his jeans trying not to focus on his erection jutting against the zipper of his pants.

"Hurry belleza. I might not make it to my place."

"You can't spontaneously combust Jaxon." She huskily teased.

"Around you I can" he gruffly confessed. His eyes seared her skin. Her body responded to his hot gaze and needy voice.

Carina soaked in his words and flagrant need. She felt empowered with his confession. He was a junior in college while she was just a lowly freshman. The school year had barely started but somehow she'd caught his eye. She didn't know what it was but she was thrilled to be the sun and the moon in his universe.

Jaxon pulled Carina into a hidden hallway. She knew he wasn't going to make it. She'd left in the early hours of the day and he hadn't gotten his fill of her before classes started. Jaxon embraced her tightly. She loved to feel his taut muscles wrapped around her curvaceous frame. Jaxon appreciated her curves; he practically worshipped them.

Carina closed her eyes knowing the kiss was coming. His kiss ignited the fire that smoldered inside. Their lips touched. She opened her mouth to feel his tongue pursue hers. His restless hands slipped under her shirt, making contact with her flushed skin, and moved up her ribcage. She knew they wouldn't stop. She drew in a sharp breath as his thumb caressed her generous breasts. "Home" he purred.

Carina giggled. She gasped as he rubbed his erection against her. "Jaxon not here" she pleaded. They'd managed to christen half the campus and she'd only been with him three weeks. She'd heard the envious whispers of the other girls. They didn't understand why Jaxon was wasting his time with a freshman.

"Fine" Jaxon grumbled. He didn't separate from her as they trudged through the apartment complex. Occupants gasped at their unexpected appearance or merely chuckled. More than once Carina heard "get a room". Trust me people, we're trying to get there... she thought.

Jaxon threw open his apartment door. His family was privileged enough that he got a one-bedroom apartment. There weren't many on campus. People snickered that Jaxon didn't leave campus housing because of his conquests. At the moment Carina was glad he was on campus. She couldn't fathom going back to her place.

Jaxon tore their clothes off. His mouth latched onto her breasts as his hands explored every inch of her skin. Carina couldn't stop her hips from thrusting upwards. Jaxon worked magic with his hands and mouth making her delirious with pleasure. She grabbed his erection and stroked back and forth.

"You play dirty belleza" he groaned. He parted her legs and nestled his hips between her open thighs. Something niggled in the back of her mind. She tried to focus. Sex-Ed 101...

"Rubber or no play" Carina whispered as she bit his lower lip trying to soften the demand.

"Belleza it doesn't feel the same" He whined. He ground his erection against her soaked core.

"Mr. Wright, your whiny voice is very unbecoming. Strap it on! You don't want to be known for knocking up the freshmen class!" Carina was on the pill but Jaxon didn't need to know that yet. It was the only ammunition he needed. She may share his bed but she knew enough of his whorish history and didn't intend to take anything unwanted with her.

Jaxon relented. He leaned over and opened his nightstand drawer. Carina decided to reward him for his good behavior. She shimmied down the bed. His glorious erection caressed her face. Carina grinned as he gasped.

"Belleza what're you doing?"

"This" she purred as she put him in her mouth. Jaxon grabbed a fistful of bed sheets as she sucked harder. She loved the way he tasted, salty.

"Stop Carina" he pleaded. His hips thrust involuntarily. He panted trying to calm down some. He pulled away and rolled on the condom.

Carina greedily watched, making Jaxon smirk. "It's never enough is it?" He teased. She shook her head. They were both insatiable. Carina smiled seductively as she straddled him. She was calling the shots this afternoon.

"No touching" she instructed. Jaxon pouted but did as told. He reached behind his head gripping the headboard. He muscles bulged. His eyes locked onto her moving form. She rocked her hips slowly taking in his full length. Jaxon was well endowed; his intimidating size required special depths.

"I love being deep inside you" His husky voice whispered. Carina bent forward and kissed him. Her rigid nipples caressed his sensitive skin. She fisted his short hair in her hands making him groan with pleasure. His hands automatically grasped her waist, taking control. He thrust upward as she grabbed his shoulders to hang on for the ride. He was taking no prisoners.

"Come with me" he instructed. Jaxon angled her so that her clit rubbed against him. She needed no further coaxing. They thrust harder and faster until they were both yelling out each other's names.

~

Carina sat up abruptly. She looked at the junction between her legs unable to comprehend what had just happened. Her soaked panties and pulsating womb indicated she'd had an orgasm. She still felt the powerful aftershocks. How had she had an orgasm in her sleep? Fuck! Jaxon was that fucking good.

The bigger question was why was she thinking about that time? He'd tried to negotiate the condom, like always. But she recalled that night for a different reason. He'd asked her to stay the night and she had. She remembered watching him sleeping in the morning before she got up for class. It was the first time she seriously considered the state of their relationship. Their easygoing and unlabeled relationship made it easier for Carina to decide that it was time to walk away before she really got hurt.

Chapter Nine

Damn, Jaxon was beautiful; too bad for all his imperfections. Carina got out of bed and changed her clothes. It was a little after seven in the morning. There was no point in trying to fall back asleep. She started working on a paper and waited for the time to pass. She finished getting ready as the time approached the 9:00 hour. Carina tied up her hair and packed a bag. She still wasn't sure what they planned to do.

Carina snuck out of the dorm not wanting to know if Desirae got front row seats to her erotic dream. There was no way she'd remained silent during that sensual trip down memory lane. She hastily exited the building doors just as Fabien approached the front steps.

"Good morning" they simultaneously greeted each other immediately dispelling any awkwardness.

"Are you getting sick?" Fabien asked concerned with her hoarse voice.

"Usually happens after karaoke night." Carina shrugged. She hadn't sung as much as she normally did but she'd given it her all. Her gravelly voice was proof why she didn't do those kinds of things often. People had a tendency to overdo their voices to sing over the drunken crowds or in hopes of leaving a lasting impression.

Fabien led the way to the parking lot. Hardly anyone was out at this time on a Saturday morning. Most who were out and about had morning classes. Carina didn't know why she felt anxious. She shouldn't care if she ran into Jaxon but she knew that it did matter. She didn't want to see how he'd react to seeing her leaving campus with yet another guy. Although she'd called things off with Jaxon she hadn't dated anyone.

Fabien walked up to a 4x4 jeep. He hopped in and motioned for her to do the same. "Are you okay with me planning the day?" He timidly asked.

Carina warmed to his apprehensiveness; she found it endearing. It was a refreshing change from the overbearing and arrogant assholes she seemed to attract. She shrugged indifferent to the plans. Her main objective was getting away from campus. After that there wasn't much else to it.

Fabien drove them to a quaint restaurant. It wasn't one of those familiar restaurant chains she was accustomed to. Carina followed him into the restaurant. The small dining area allowed for a dozen tables and a few booths along the walls. Fabien was immediately greeted by name as they walked inside. Carina raised her eyebrows in surprise.

"I come here often" He muttered flushing with embarrassment.

"You've made quite the impression for them to remember you." She teased. It was nice to see that he had a routine at his home away from home. The waitresses affectionately stared like he was an adopted son.

Fabien shrugged uncomfortable with her scrutiny. He walked her to a corner booth and waited until she slid into the seat. He handed her a menu. A bubbly waitress immediately descended on them. She efficiently took their orders and scurried away.

Carina immensely enjoyed Fabien's company. She learned about his interests and hobbies while they awaited their food. Their banter was light and easy. They ate their breakfast continuing their conversation between bites.

Fabien surprised her. Rather than hiking through the National Forest they went canoeing. They worked well together paddling in the waters and navigating through narrow terrain. Carina savored the sights and sounds of nature; she appreciated that Fabien didn't try to fill in the silence. She thrilled with excitement as alligators banked nearby on the shoreline while turtles basked on fallen logs getting their time in the sun.

She tilted her head to the sky. The symphony of the forest soothed her. Fabien steered the canoe to a small lodge that served picnic lunches. They found a small clearing and laid out their meal. Although it could've seemed romantic, Carina didn't feel the slightest flicker of interest within her. Fabien was good looking and charming. She should've felt something more than just this amicable complacency. She quietly ate her lunch pondering why guys like Fabien couldn't keep her attention.

It was late afternoon by the time they wrapped up. They walked down a trail back to the jeep. Carina sensed Fabien's tension. He'd been so laid back in the beginning of the day but had slowly withdrawn as the day progressed. Had she done something to make him uncomfortable?

"Are you okay?" She tentatively asked.

"Am I that obvious?" Fabien groaned. They laughed as she shrugged. Fabien nervously shoved his hands in his pockets and slowed his pace. "I'd like to get to know you better Carina" he looked at her from the corner of his eye.

"I've really enjoyed today." She offered.

Fabien took a deep breath. Carina thought it was cute how nervous he was. She was accustomed to guys who knew what they wanted and just went after it. "I know you and Jaxon have a history..." He paused facing her. "Are you through? I mean do you want to explore other possibilities?" Fabien flushed with embarrassment; he was babbling.

"Fabien, Jaxon and I never had anything real. It was a casual relationship for a reason. I've barely just started college. I'm just enjoying myself."

"But you haven't really been with anyone since him... That's a pretty big shoe to fill."

"I'm not looking for comparables Fabien. One Jaxon Wright per lifetime is more than enough. I haven't pursued a relationship. The semester is halfway over and I can't afford to lose my academic scholarship. My focus is there right now."

Fabien's shoulders slumped. He looked defeated. "So no casual dating"

"I never said that" She replied. She knew she wasn't being clear with him but she wasn't sure what she wanted at the moment.

"Can we do something again... another time" He hesitantly asked looking for a compromise. If Carina wasn't ready for a relationship he could find middle ground. He was a sophomore and understood her focus on finishing strong for the semester. He could start out as a good friend. Andrea made it easy to see her without being intrusive.

"Of course" Carina genuinely replied, "I enjoyed today."

Fabien beamed nodding his head. "Great" he exclaimed. Small steps.... He could take small steps.

Chapter Ten

Carina and Fabien got back in time for dinner. She quickly showered and headed to the Student Union where Desirae, Emile, and Andrea waited for them. Fabien followed shortly afterwards. They shared about their day's adventures. Fabien took the opportunity to sit between Andrea and Carina while Emile sat next to Desirae.

"We have friends performing tonight at a club in town. You ladies coming" Emile asked.

Desirae looked to Carina, practically begging with her eyes. "Of course" Carina beamed. The guys high-fived as the girls rolled their eyes. It wasn't like they had anything else planned for the evening. The group agreed on a meeting time and separated. Carina knew that Desirae would go all out. They were going somewhere new and she appeared to have had a great day with Emile and Andrea.

Carina spent the next few hours finishing her paper. She put away her assignments and began to get ready for the evening. Desirae showered while she looked in her closet. She hadn't taken advantage of her best dresses and intended to do so tonight. She grabbed her royal blue mini dress. It was form fitting and slung off one shoulder to show more skin. A warm front had come through and she was taking full advantage of the temporary change in weather.

Carina tied up her hair to show off her shoulders and neck. She applied minimal makeup as Desirae finished straightening her hair. They slipped on their heels, put on matching accessories, and grabbed their purses.

"I'm getting laid tonight!" Desirae crowed.

"Not in here" Carina scolded. It was an unspoken rule that their dorm room remained un-christened by either roommate.

Desirae pouted but agreed. It was nice to have a safe haven where they knew they could freely come and go no matter what. Carina had heard about other inconsiderate roommates. Some had fuckfests at all hours of the day and night, not caring that their roommate was witness to their debauchery. She knew she was no saint, and neither was Desirae, but it was comforting to know that their rooms were testosterone free.

They met up with Andrea and the guys in front of the dorm buildings. Andrea was wearing a mini skirt with a lacey top while Desirae wore a corset top with skinny jeans.

"Wow" the guys breathed. Their eyes practically bulged out of their sockets as their gazes roamed over Desirae and Carina. Emile and Fabien both wore dark colored jeans. The similarities ended there though. Emile wore skinny jeans with a light top and funky hat while Fabien wore vintage jeans with a form fitting shirt. Even their shoes were different: Converse versus Lugs.

Carina smiled at the group. This was exactly the kind of weekend she needed. It was nice to have a group of friends to hang out with, no strings attached. The group piled into two cars and headed into town. The club was on the opposite side of town where most of the clubs and events were held. Their cars parked into the few spaces left .They walked into the club together. Andrea beamed as several guys turned their appreciative gazes at them.

"Don't they see we're with you" Emile muttered. He hated how other guys acted like he and Fabien weren't with the girls.

"Behave" Andrea hissed. She loved the attention Desirae and Carina garnered. Emile and Fabien weren't accustomed to it but Andrea had no intentions of parting ways from her new friends. The guys needed to learn to deal with it or stop going out with them.

They made their way further into the club. Several bands were performing throughout the night, including the trio's friends. The next group was setting up as they wound their way through the crowded interior. The guys grabbed drinks while the girls claimed a table. Andrea basked in the glow of all the male attention. Desirae whispered with Emile.

Fabien spoke to several people who'd passed their table. Carina didn't mind being in the background. For once she wasn't in the spotlight. The next band performed their set. The loud music vibrated throughout the walls and floors. Carina looked around noticing several guys trying to get her attention. She sensed Fabien's discomfort. They weren't a couple but she could tell he wanted to lay claim to her undivided attention.

Two girls stopped at the table; they kissed Fabien on the cheek in greeting. They chatted with him as Carina looked away. She could tell they were trying to stake a claim. A redhead in a barely-there mini skirt and halter top had her arm draped on him. She blatantly rubbed her breasts all over him. Fabien's flushed skin encouraged the hussy. He politely tried to distance himself. Carina watched with mild amusement. If Fabien wasn't so uncomfortable she'd think it was comical.

The redhead eyed Carina as if she were a threat. No matter what Fabien did or said the redhead didn't let up. Why were girls always so catty? Carina excused herself before the hussy violated Fabien in her quest to claim him. She needed to get away from all the estrogen at the table. She headed to the bathroom and almost made it before being stopped by a group of guys. She smiled politely but kept walking.

"Dressed to kill" the familiar but unwelcome voice purred in her ear.

She cringed turning to face Pete. If he was here then Jaxon wasn't too far behind. Carina crossed her arms across her chest. Pete licked his lips as he eyed her from head to toe.

"Give a guy a chance, sweetness. I can rock your world." Pete grabbed himself trying to show Carina what she was missing. She sidestepped him avoiding making any physical contact with him. Pete caused her to want to vomit or punch him in the face. It was always a tossup. The group next to them erupted in laughter. Pete was no better than the rest of Jaxon's entourage. They all shamelessly looked for some form of attention.

Carina stalked off to the bathroom. She hid within the tiled walls for as long as possible hoping Pete would get bored and move on. She patiently waited and peeked out every time someone entered or exited the bathroom. She finally saw her opportunity. Pete was feeling up some girl and had his back to her. She slinked behind a post away from Pete and ran into a very familiar chest.

"Belleza" he breathed. Jaxon's hands gripped her waist. Carina's womb clenched at the contact. Jaxon nuzzled her hair making her weak in the knees.

"Jaxon, I'm here with friends" She protested. How did she not think he'd be here?

"You look amazing" his heated gaze followed her curves.

She looked around helplessly. Where was Desirae when she needed her? Even Fabien seemed to be preoccupied. Carina tried to be aware of her surroundings. She wanted to ignore the potent male that refused to go away.

A new band stepped onstage. Andrea and Emile cheered from their table. She frowned figuring it was their friends. If so, there was no way in hell they'd be looking for her anytime soon. Carina tried to focus on the band but Jaxon's hands moved up from her waist to her ribcage. She snapped her head towards him. He stood mere inches from her. "Dance with me" he purred.

She swallowed the uncomfortable lump lodged in her throat. Alarm bells inside her head signaled a blaring warning: proceed with caution. They were half hidden by the post. No one seemed to notice them. She could appease him with one dance and hustle back to the table. His persistent and overwhelming presence exhausting her.

Jaxon wrapped his arms around her. His hot hands rested on her backside. Carina closed her eyes. If she was really being honest with herself, she really missed his touch. His palm scorched her skin. His body vibrated with need making her nipples harden in response.

"Take a walk with me" Jaxon's husky voice pleaded.

Carina leaned her forehead into his chest. His pulse sped up as she pressed into him. How could she so easily affect him like this? She placed her palms on his ripped stomach. His muscled bunched beneath her touch. He affected her in ways that no one else could. She nodded knowing she'd later regret this but she needed to get him out of her system. She could be the stupid girl for a few mind-blowing minutes.

Jaxon didn't wait; he didn't want her to over-think things and recant. He grabbed her hand and exited through a back hallway. She gratefully followed relieved that she didn't need to face the others. She could only imagine Pete's sneer of victory.

Carina silently followed Jaxon. She looked at his broad shoulders and narrow waist. He was all lean muscle and tanned skin from years of rowing. She bit her lip focusing on the pain rather than her aching core. He walked out to the nearly empty parking lot.

"You said take a walk" she replied. She pushed down the rising sense of panic. She couldn't leave without telling Desirae. She didn't want to go to Jaxon's place. She wouldn't leave his bed for hours on end... Wait, why was that a bad thing again?

Jaxon took a deep breath. He leaned against the nearest car blocking her in. He hooked his thumbs in the belt loop of his jeans, trying to momentarily keep his hands off her. "You look amazing belleza." He whispered.

"You covered that already Jaxon. Talk" She sharply replied. It was her only defense against him. Jaxon talked with his body more than he talked with his voice. As much as she wanted option number one they needed to clear the air. His relentless pursuit of her attention was exhausting.

"I miss you" He softly stated. His eyes never strayed from her face. He needed her to understand that he wanted something more than just another roll in the sheets.

"Miss what Jaxon? My body. You and I were never more than physical."

"You never gave us a chance belleza. You left me before I could show you" He protested.

"What is it about me Jaxon? You can have anyone on campus. Why me"

Jaxon tilted his head toward the dark sky. Carina asked too many fucking questions but he wanted more than one night with her. He took a deep breath before replying. "You're like no one I've ever met belleza. You're tenacious yet endearing. You're smart and sexy. You don't take my shit or any of the other guys'. It's refreshing."

Carina laughed. She wasn't sure if she should be flattered. If girls knew that was all Jaxon required of them most would quickly change their tune.

"What did I do to make you run?" He implored. "We were good together."

"We had great sex Jax. I spent the night a few times but that was it. You and I never shared anything deeper than that."

"Because you never allowed it" he growled.

"Because I wasn't going to become another one of your shadowed conquests Jaxon! It's too easy to lose myself around you. I've seen some of the girls that you've been with. You leave them empty....a shell of a person. I won't become one of them" she whisper-shouted. Music pulsated from behind the club walls but voices and the smell of cigarette smoke let them know that they weren't alone.

"You're different. We're different together. What can I do to prove that?"

"I don't know" She hissed through her teeth. "Maybe try being committed, monogamous, for once! To be in a relationship you have to give and take. It's not all about sex Jaxon!"

"It's how I express myself the best" He whispered. He thought she understood this. He wasn't the poetry and candy type. He was okay with PDA as long as the girl understood it included grabbing her ass and grinding his dick against her in public.

"No one disputed that ability" She replied dryly. "You're very generous in spreading the love."

Jaxon closed his eyes trying to hide the fact that her words hurt him. He pulled her into his arms. "Let me prove myself to you."

"How are you going to do that?" She couldn't look at him. She barely had her defenses up being such close proximity to him. His scent overpowered her rationality. His touch fried every brain synapses.

"Only you.... No one else... We'll be an official couple. We'll go on dates and go from there. I'll abstain until you're ready..." Jaxon didn't care if he sounded desperate. Carina was actually contemplating giving them a chance.

Carina looked up. Jaxon Wright, abstain from sex? That was unheard of; so much so that it seemed absurd. Could she hold out against him?

"You can take me on a date and then we can decide from there. We may come to discover that we have nothing in common." She tried not to become too emotional. This could be disastrous.

Jaxon swept her up in his arms. "Thank you belleza" he whispered. He kissed her slowly, deeply. He wanted her to understand how grateful he was that she was trying. The slow kiss exploded. They gasped for air but refused to pull away. It didn't take much to ignite the fire between them. In no time he had his hands on her thighs wrapping them around his waist. He pressed his rock hard erection into her. He groaned as she shuddered with pleasure.

"Not here" she rasped. Her body screamed to be beneath him. She ground her sex against his jeans wanting nothing more than to feel him inside her.

Jaxon's face darkened with desire. His body ready to explode. He aggressively kissed her. His tongue fucked her mouth like he wanted to fuck her. He pressed Carina tightly against him. Nothing could get between their bodies. He stumbled to his car with her wrapped around his body.

Carina was lost in a haze of lust. It'd been so long since they'd been together. She blinked and found herself in his backseat. She didn't know how they'd gotten there. This wasn't where she wanted to be but they weren't going to make it anywhere else. It was always that way with Jaxon. They were so insane with need for one another that they ended up fucking anywhere and everywhere.

Jaxon hiked her dress up above her breasts. He dragged her panties down her legs as she fumbled for his zipper. His mouth found her nipples making her forget about everything else. She closed her eyes tangling her fingers in his hair. She'd missed him. She'd be lying if she said otherwise. He expertly sucked on her breasts. He knew exactly what to do to her. She writhed with pleasure beneath his expert touch.
