One of Link’s fingers breached his ass as he sucked Jace hard, using his tongue to massage the underside of his cock. Jace frustratingly pulled at the ropes, wanting to pull his mate closer as he started moving in and out of Link’s scorching mouth.

When Link suddenly bit down gently on his dick and at the same time nailed his prostate with his finger, Jace cried out, shooting down Link’s throat. His release was quickly swallowed down.

“Fuck! You bit me!” Jace accused as Link pulled off him.

“You didn’t seem to mind.” His mate snickered as Jace felt him shift on the bed and push his legs apart.

Jace laid waiting for Link to push inside of him, moaning as he started pushing against his opening. Right as the head of Link’s cock popped in past the ring of muscles, Link’s phone rang out.

“Oh, come on!” Jace growled… seriously, just five more minutes, that’s all he’d need. He expected Link to pull out. Instead, he heard Link pick up the phone and started pushing in deeper as he took the call.

“Debra,” Link started and gave a hard thrust into Jace.

“Link, what the hell are you doing?” Jace hissed, trying not to shout at him.

“Yeah, sorry, I didn’t warn you.” Link continued, completely ignoring Jace’s protests and burying his dick in Jace’s ass to the hilt. “It’s better this way, safer. Think of the boys.”

Jace struggled not to moan, biting into his lower lip with each push as Link started a slow, determined pace. A woman was shouting on the other end of the phone. “If he won’t leave you alone, just whack him with a shoe or something.” Link replied to his shouting ex.

Too preoccupied with the feel of Link’s thick dick plundering his ass, Jace didn’t have the brain capacity left to get much sense out of what Link talked about.

“I’ll be there in an hour. I’m in the middle of something right now.” Link gave a particularly hard thrust at the last word and Jace just barely managed to hold back his groan. Seriously, if he wasn’t tied up right now he’d show his mate a thing or two about pulling fucking hi-jinks!

There were some more shouts and something sounding a lot like growling in the background of the call and Link snorted. “Say hello to Jace, Debra.”

Jace tensed as he felt Link place the phone next to his head, then grab hold of his hips and start pounding into him.

“Fuck!” Jace groaned, unable to hold back the vocals as Link grabbed hold of his newly awakened erection, which had hardened despite the embarrassing situation his mate had put him in.

“Oh, my god! Link! Are you fucking him at a time like this? You are such an ass!” An angry female voice sounded next to Jace’s ear.

“Yeah, no shit!” Jace growled back at her and moaned as he felt Link go wild pumping his release into him, almost sounding as if he had an animal in him as well. Feeling Link’s release filling him triggered his own release and he whimpered as he came a second time.

Almost knocking the air out of him when he collapsed on top of him, Link remained seated in his ass. He could feel the cell being moved back to his ear.

“I’ll be there in an hour,” Link repeated and snapped the phone shut before Debra started shouting again.

Chapter 13

When Link first mentioned to Jace that he wanted to tie him down, he’d been surprised at the amount of tension and vulnerability surging through his mate and he knew there was something more behind that. His mate’d had a similar reaction when Mika had first brought him to Link and he’d had to slam the cuffs on Jace to keep him still when taking the blood samples.

Despite his obvious fears, Jace had trusted him and hadn’t taken long before embracing it, but Link supposed fucking him while his ex-wife was listening in had been crossing the line. Link rubbed his chin as they got out of the car. When he’d untied Jace, the man had nearly ripped him a new one; throwing him a punch straight in the jaw that literally knocked Link on his ass.

It had been totally worth it though and even now Jace’s face still hadn’t rid itself of the furious red he’d turned after their performance. Besides, talking to Debra with Jace being right there and then not introducing the two… now that would’ve just been bad manners.

The house to which they’d relocated his family wasn’t as secure as the pride manor, but there were plenty of guards to keep them safe.

“Dad!” Jason ran into his arms the moment they got into the living room. His youngest son of twelve was a tough kid, but he knew he had to be scared.

“It’s okay, Jason, everything’s fine. This is just a precaution.” Link promised and hoped he wasn’t lying to the kid. Either way, he’d probably fucked up his sons’ lives. No way Link could allow his kids to return to their normal lives… not with Mika looking for them.

“Just fine, huh? We’re going to have to move, aren’t we?” Kyle called out from across the room. His oldest was pissed.

“Kyle…” Link started, but Kyle disappeared out of the room before he could finish and slammed the door after him.

Jason turned in his arms and frowned at Jace. “Who the hell are you?”

Link almost felt sorry for his mate when Jace’s panicked expression turned to him, desperately seeking help.

“Jason, I’d like you to meet Jace.” Link told his son and decided if anyone in his family could take the truth, it would be Jason. “He’s my mate.”

Jace’s eyes nearly popped out of his head and his mouth fell open, very apparently shocked at Link’s blatant honesty. It was hard not to laugh, but the glare Jace served him when he started chuckling made him rethink it.

“Ew, you guys have sex? That’s gross!” Jason wrinkled his nose and mock gagged.

“Hey!” Jace protested, having snapped out of his momentary silence and finding his voice again. “Whatever happens behind closed doors between your father and me stays between your father and me, okay?”

“Thank god!” Jason snickered before he puffed out his chest and stepped up to Jace with a serious expression. “But if you ever hurt my dad, I’ll go roadrunner on your ass!”

“You will, huh?” Jace snickered right back at him with a feral grin. “Well, I just love poultry.”

Link thought Jason would pass out when Jace let his beast shine through, his son’s skin paling slightly. Link, himself, was rather fascinated by the shift he’d seen in Jace’s features. It just struck him he’d never seen the leopard lurking under his lover’s skin, not beyond the occasional glimmer in his eyes.

“You’re a shifter!” his son stated, having taken a step back from Jace towards Link.

“Yeah, you might say I’ve gotten myself a man-sized kitty-cat.” Link teased as Jace threw him an evil look.

Chuckling as he looked around the room, Link noticed someone was missing. “Jason? Where’s your mother?”

Jason wrinkled his nose again. “She’s in one of the closets with one of the guys that came and got us… I honestly don’t know what happened, one minute she was beating him with a shoe then they got all creepy and started making out. Seriously gross.”

Link raised an eyebrow. So that was what the whole incident had been about. When Debra had called him, she’d been pissed, not only because they’d extracted them from the apartment, but because of this guy that had been hounding her. Sharing a look with Jace, it wasn’t a big leap to guess Debra’s new admirer was another shifter.

“Link! ‘Bout fucking time you got here!” An all too familiar voice rang out.

Debra, closely followed by a large, ripped and somewhat scarred man, stepped right up to Link and poked him in the chest. “How fucking dare you get your goons to kidnap us in the middle of the night with no goddamned warning!?”

Before Link could answer, Debra was ripped away from him and two tons of wolf pounced on top of him. Slammed to the ground, Link got the air knocked out of his lungs, the wolf snarling and snapping at him, baring vicious teeth.

The wolf seemed to dive for his throat at the same moment as a shrill roar filled the air and the wolf flew up into the air as someone lifted the animal off him like it weighed nothing. Looking up he was just in time to see… Jace… throwing his attacker across the room.

An almost entirely furry version of Jace snarled at the animal, his slightly off face showing equally vicious teeth and claws that would have put Wolverine to shame. Jason was protected behind Jace’s enlarged size as he dared the wolf to pounce again.

Jace’s shirt had been shredded at the seams, showing off more muscles than Link had ever seen on him before and he’d definitely looked hard enough.

More of the soldiers had intervened and now had the wolf under their control. They forced him to shift back as he was held down, revealing the man who’d followed Debra into the room.

Jace still didn’t return to normal and looked to be contemplating eating the wolf; a strange almost growling sound telling everyone he was less than satisfied with Debra’s new guy going wolf on Link.

Sitting up, Link hissed. Three red stripes decorated his chest through the shreds of his t-shirt and he suddenly found himself pushed down to the ground again by Jace. Still a little unsettled by the sheer size of his mate and the slight covering of spotted fur covering his skin, he held his breath to see what his mate would do.

His mate looked concerned even through his altered appearance, and gently moved away the shredded fabric. Link realized he also didn’t look very happy with him having been marked by another male and the rumbling sound continued as he examined the wound, licking it with an exceptionally rough tongue, making it sting, but a few more licks and the marks were all but gone.

The cat man rubbed against him, the rumbling turning into the purr Link had come to depend on from Jace. Not able to help himself, Link petted his mate and scratched him along his neck, amazed at the downy feel of the white spotted fur.

Jace all but curled around his body, which with his current size might not be all that impossible. His mate had to be a foot or so taller than him now and possibly also a little wider.

Purring, Jace seemed to melt on top of his body and soon enough, a regular sized Jace lay spread across his chest. Still rubbing up against him.

“Jace…?” Link asked as Jace rubbed his head to Link’s throat. Link tilted his head back and exposed more of his throat for Jace who started purring louder.

He was vaguely aware of Debra’s voice in the background giving somebody a verbal thrashing. That also made him remember they weren’t alone here. “Jace? There are people watching,”

Those words alone were enough for Jace to tense and keep a watchful eye on the surroundings as he sat up, still situated on top of him. Jace made threatening rumbling sounds, making sure there were no others who would try to attack and that the first mutt was under control. Apparently satisfied, he got up on his feet, dragging Link with him to a standing position.

Debra’d taken off her shoe again and used it to knock each word into the guy’s head as she scolded her new mate. “MORON! IDIOT! HOW DARE YOU ENDANGER MY KID!!! ASSHOLE! I SHOULD CASTRATE YOUR SORRY ASS!”

Jason had joined his mom and actually kicked the mountainous man straight in the shin. When the shifter snarled at him, Debra whacked him in the head again.

“RETARDED MUTT!!!”

Link nearly felt sorry for the guy. Jace looked happy about it though.

“Deb!” Link interrupted.

“What!” She crossed her arms and turned to him with a full on glare.

Sending his ex an evil grin, Link continued. “Happy matings.”

* * * *

Finding the closet Debra had pointed him to, Jace grabbed hold of his mate and pushed him inside, slamming the door shut behind them. Link groaned as Jace all but attacked him. Hell, Jace was all but humping him.

When Tucker, the idiot wolf, attacked Link, Jace’s mind had popped a fuse. In a second flat his Triferus shot forth and decided to teach the insufferable pup a thing or two. It was one thing to be threatened by your mate’s former lovers if they were unmated; it was a whole other thing attacking them if they were.

His superior, an alpha wolf named Saber, had apologized and explained that Tucker was a half-breed who’d only first shifted less than a year ago and hadn’t quite mastered his wolf yet.

It sounded perfectly understandable, but that didn’t mean Jace or his leopard would tolerate any more indiscretions. There was a line and the idiot had crossed it once. Jace was adamant it not happen again. Even if that meant a certain puppy turned into kitty kibble.

Jace’s leopard rumbled, pressing as close to Link as he could. “I’m still mad at you, by the way,” Jace muttered between kisses.

Link’s hands had found his ass and kneaded his soft globes. “Why?” he panted into his ear as Jace sucked up a mark on his neck and reached down to unbutton Link’s pants.

“You told me you had kids,” he rumbled, and then purred as he fished out Link’s dripping dick.

“Yeah?” Link asked confused.

“You didn’t tell me you had frickin’ teenagers.” Jace accused and squeezed Link extra hard in reprimand.

“You didn’t ask,” Link hissed out. His dick was hardening despite the bite of pain.

Or possibly because of it…

“I didn’t ask?” Jace growled as he nipped his mate’s nipple. “You, my mate, didn’t give me a chance to ask before you had your dick buried up my ass, with your fucking ex on the phone, for Christ’s sake. How the hell was I gonna form enough mind power to ask something like that, in
that
kind of situation?”

Link chuckled, which earned him another nip, leaving his nipple red and irritated.

“Does it matter?” Link asked, suddenly tense.

“At least I don’t have to be on diaper duty,” Jace conceded. “But I would have liked to have known, Link. I should know these things.”

Link lifted his chin and made him look into his eyes. “We’ll get there, kitten, but it’s not like I know all there is to know about you, either… that cat-shift thing of yours for one.”

Jace felt himself pale. Link had never known about the third shape feline shifters took? Suddenly nervous, Jace hoped his mate hadn’t found his Triferus disgusting. The form was primarily used for fighting and wasn’t exactly made to be pretty, as much as a terrifying sight.
