Psalm 139:1-24

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.

1
 O L
ORD
, thou hast searched me, and known
me.

2
Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off.

3
Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted
with
all my ways.

4
 For
there is
not a word in my tongue,
but,
lo, O L
ORD
, thou knowest it altogether.

5
Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

6

Such
knowledge
is
too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot
attain
unto it.

7
Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

8
If I ascend up into heaven, thou
art
there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou
art there.

9

If
I take the wings of the morning,
and
dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

10
Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

11
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.

12
Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light
are
both alike
to thee.

13
For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.

14
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully
and
wonderfully made: marvellous
are
thy works; and
that
my soul knoweth right well.

15
My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret,
and
curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.

16
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all
my members
were written,
which
in continuance were fashioned, when
as yet there was
none of them.

17
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

18

If
I should count them, they are more in number than the sand: when I awake, I am still with thee.

19
Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.

20
For they speak against thee wickedly,
and
thine enemies take
thy name
in vain.

21
 Do not I hate them, O L
ORD
, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?

22
I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

23
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

24
 And see if
there be any
wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Proverbs 30:15-16

15
 The horseleach hath two daughters,
crying,
Give, give. There are three
things that
are never satisfied,
yea,
four
things
say not,
It is
enough:

16
The grave; and the barren womb; the earth
that
is not filled with water; and the fire
that
saith not,
It is
enough.

Zechariah 1:1-21

1
In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the L
ORD
unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,
2
 The L
ORD
hath been sore displeased with your fathers.
3
Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the L
ORD
of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the L
ORD
of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the L
ORD
of hosts.
4
Be ye not as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the L
ORD
of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and
from
your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the L
ORD
.
5
 Your fathers, where
are
they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?
6
But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like as the L
ORD
of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us.

7
Upon the four and twentieth day of the eleventh month, which
is
the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the L
ORD
unto Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet, saying,
8
I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that
were
in the bottom; and behind him
were there
red horses, speckled, and white.

9
Then said I, O my lord, what
are
these?

And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will shew thee what these
be.

10
And the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These
are they
whom the L
ORD
hath sent to walk to and fro through the earth.

11
And they answered the angel of the L
ORD
that stood among the myrtle trees, and said, We have walked to and fro through the earth, and, behold, all the earth sitteth still, and is at rest.

12
Then the angel of the L
ORD
answered and said, O L
ORD
of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these threescore and ten years?
13
 And the L
ORD
answered the angel that talked with me
with
good words
and
comfortable words.

14
So the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the L
ORD
of hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.
15
And I am very sore displeased with the heathen
that are
at ease: for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.
16
 Therefore thus saith the L
ORD
; I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies: my house shall be built in it, saith the L
ORD
of hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.
17
Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the L
ORD
of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the L
ORD
shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem.

18
Then lifted I up mine eyes, and saw, and behold four horns.
19
And I said unto the angel that talked with me, What
be
these?

And he answered me, These
are
the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.

20
 And the L
ORD
shewed me four carpenters.
21
Then said I, What come these to do?

And he spake, saying, These
are
the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up
their
horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.

Revelation 12:1-17

1
And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2
and she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

3
And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4
And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

5
And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and
to
his throne.
6
And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred
and
threescore days.

7
And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8
and prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12
 Therefore rejoice,
ye
heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

13
And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man
child.
14
And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

15
And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16
And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
17
And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Psalm 140:1-13

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.

1
 Deliver me, O L
ORD
, from the evil man: preserve me from the violent man;

2
 Which imagine mischiefs in
their
heart; continually are they gathered together
for
war.

3
They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders' poison
is
under their lips. Selah.

4
 Keep me, O L
ORD
, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from the violent man; who have purposed to overthrow my goings.

5
The proud have hid a snare for me, and cords; they have spread a net by the wayside; they have set gins for me. Selah.

6
 I said unto the L
ORD
, Thou
art
my God: hear the voice of my supplications, O L
ORD
.

7
 O G
OD
the Lord, the strength of my salvation, thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.

8
 Grant not, O L
ORD
, the desires of the wicked: further not his wicked device;
lest
they exalt themselves. Selah.

9

As for
the head of those that compass me about, let the mischief of their own lips cover them.

10
Let burning coals fall upon them: let them be cast into the fire; into deep pits, that they rise not up again.

11
Let not an evil speaker be established in the earth: evil shall hunt the violent man to overthrow
him.

12
 I know that the L
ORD
will maintain the cause of the afflicted,
and
the right of the poor.

13
Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.
