“I think so.” She looked at his
face;
he looked so young for his 40 years. She wanted to caress him and somehow take away all the pain she saw etched into the lines of his face.

“Let’s go to your room then.” He started to get out of the car.

“My room?” She hesitated.

“Yes. I want to make sure you understand the rules tonight before you come to work tomorrow.” They gazed at each other and Alice led him to the apartment silently. She was completely unaware of what she was letting into her life.
