He rose up to lay himself between her legs and plunged his erection into the depths of her dark and heated body, quivering with desire. He moved with passion and need, breathless desire driving him with wild abandon. Michael’s mouth tasted Isabella’s body from her hardened nipples to her soft lips, and she answered his passion with equal measure, clinging to him and moving herself over his erection fervently to the point that he could be no deeper within her, and the heady euphoria that overtook him brought them both to the summit of their pleasure, locking them together in their rapture, as the heat of their bodies culminated in orgasms.

Their breath returned slowly to them, and their pounding hearts slowed. They lay back together in their wedding bed, exhausted and completely blissful, holding on to each other’s hands and bound eternally in one another’s hearts.

“I’ll gladly and gratefully do that with you for the rest of our lives,” Michael said, turning his head to look at his wife.

She laughed at him and turned to look at him as well. “Me, too.” She giggled a little. “No matter what happens, Michael, I am so glad that I’ll have you with me forever. I love you so much.” She leaned over and kissed him and he nuzzled her and smiled.

“I am so glad that I won you back. Everything was worth it to be with you.” He touched her hair and her face, grateful for the opportunity to do so.

They spent the morning resting and loving, then showered together, cleaning each other, making love in the shower, and then dressing for their first day as husband and wife. They enjoyed a delicious breakfast on the beach, relaxing in the shade and then walking in the warm pink sand on the beach, as the ocean washed up over their feet.

They went sailing and swimming, snorkeling and diving, shopping, eating, and exploring all over the island. They indulged in a couples spa treatment and massage, and danced to island rhythms. By the time they boarded the plane, with flowers in their pockets and the glow of kisses from the tropical sun on their skin, they weren’t sure they ever wanted to go back to reality, but go back they did.

When they reached Manhattan, they returned to discover that Michael’s place in the polls had skyrocketed and that as the election drew near, the incumbent senator would have a very hard time winning the election.

Michael and Isabella did not let their popularity slip, they delved into working even harder at public events and functions, visiting schools and community centers, working with every class of citizen on projects that were of paramount importance to them, and showing the voters that their faith and devotion in the couple was well deserved. Kelsey had all but vanished from the public eye, and everything she had tried to do to them had become forgotten news.

Weeks flew by as the definitive day drew near, and Michael and Isabella planned an enormous election party at the family restaurant, wishing to await the results of the election with their loved ones. The incumbent senator made some last minute efforts two weeks before the election, bringing in some of the biggest names in Washington to support him and solidify his bid for the seat, and in doing so, he closed the gap between Michael’s enormous popularity and his own previously failing works.

It was because of that last minute swing that Isabella made a formal announcement just prior to the election that amazed Michael, as well as the rest of the state. They were in a live broadcast interview, one of many that were slated back to back as the fateful day drew ever nearer and she told the reporter that she had a gift to give to Michael.

Both Michael and the reporter looked surprised, and he smiled and laughed a little as she handed him a small white box with a white bow on it. He took it from her and looked at it, wondering what she could have given him. He opened it and as he pulled the object from the box, he stared at her in complete wonder. It was a tiny pair of baby shoes.

He gasped and tears welled up in his eyes as he looked at her for confirmation, while the reporter began speaking so quickly that she almost stumbled over her words.

“Is this… is this what I think this is? Are you… are we… going to be parents?” Michael stammered with his heart in his throat.

Isabella nodded and leaned over to kiss him. “It is, and we are,” she said softly, grinning at the cameras around them.

The reporter gushed congratulations for them, and Michael wrapped his arms around her tightly, kissing her sweetly and trying to get a hold on his surprise and delight as he answered questions with Isabella for the news reporter. Papers came flying off of the presses, social media ran wild, and news of the baby buzzed in the city for the entire week leading up to the election.

Michael looked at Isabella as they left the television studio and shook his head. “You waited to tell me that until we were in the middle of a live interview on television?” He laughed at her. “Maybe I should make you my campaign manager!” he teased and she raised an eyebrow at him.

“I could probably do it!” she said with a grin “But I’m going to have my hands full!”

The week wound down to election day and the family gathered in the restaurant to wait for the results. Everyone celebrated, ready for any outcome, as they ate and drank and supported Michael and Isabella. The numbers came in and for much of the beginning, it looked like an even count, but as the night wore on, Michael’s numbers began to eclipse the incumbent senator and by the time the night was done, it was clear that there could be no mistaking his victory. Michael had won, and he would be the new senator of New York.

Celebrations rang out over the city and people crowded into the restaurant to congratulate him and Isabella, and the only silence that entire night was the concession call that the current senator made to Michael, who accepted with courteous gratitude.

Isabella hugged him tightly and looked up into his face with loving eyes when he hung the phone up.

“Your dream came true!” she said blissfully.

“My dreams came true on our wedding day and again last week when I found out about our little one. This is just frosting on top of all of that.” He kissed her softly and they turned and waved victoriously to their friends and family.
