I let go of her and take a step back from her. She lies down on the bed and picks up the vibrator. “Just pretend I’m not here,” I say when she looks over at me.

She smiles. “Why would I do that? I want you to watch.”

Fuck me! She’s sexy as fuck.

The vibrating sound fills the room as she turns it on. I make my way down to the end of the bed and look down at her as she spreads her legs and places it against her clit. Her body jerks a little at the first feel. But then she lets out a long sigh.

I crawl onto the bed and I look down at her body. Legs spread and completely vulnerable.
I fucking love it.
And my cock hardens just remembering what the inside of her tight, smooth pussy felt like.

Her back bows and her legs shift on the bed as I hear the vibration between her legs grow louder. She sucks in a deep breath as her free hand cups her breast.

“Allow me.” I reach out to hold it in place for her, letting her have both of her hands free. I change my mind. I wanna be the one to get her off. I wanna be the one in control of what her body does.

Her body continues to move as her hands run up her sides. Her nails leave red marks as her hands run up the side of her chest, then her face, and she tangles them in her hair. She moans as she throws her head back and her mouth falls open. My cock aches to be in it. For her to taste me. For me to taste her.

“Come on, baby. Let me see you get off,” I say desperately.

“Oh God,” she cries out, and I turn up the speed.

I shift on my knees trying to allow my hard cock some movement behind my jeans.

When she cries out again, I start to move the head of the vibrator around. Slowly up and down her pussy before placing it back on her clit. “God, I wanna fuck you with this,” I say out loud, and she lets out a moan.

I watch as the muscles in her stomach tighten and her legs start to stiffen. “Putain, je viens,” she cries and I kick myself for not knowing French. But I don’t have to know what she says to know what her body feels as she comes right before me.

Her body shakes and her breathing is ragged. I turn the vibrator off and throw it to the floor.

I lean over her and run my fingers over her now soaked pussy. She flinches. And I chuckle as I sit up and hover over her body. “That’s how you’re gonna come for now on,” I say before I press my lips to hers.

KATHERINE

My body has finally stopped shaking, but it’s still on fire. I can feel every inch of my skin, burning for him. I reach up and wrap my arms around his neck. I lift my hips, ready for him. Needing more than that stupid vibrator. It helps get me off, yes, but nothing is better than sex. Having the physical contact with another human being—with Parker.

Once he puts on a condom, he finds his way back on top of me. I inhale sharply when he enters me. I start to move with him. “Wait,” he says and stops moving. “Your dog is watching us.”
“So?” I ask breathlessly.

“So? They like invented doggie style. What if I wanna flip you over and do you from behind? I feel like he will judge me.”

I roll my eyes and grab his face. “I’m the only one judging you in this room right now, and you’re at a negative ten right now.”

He places his foot off the side of the bed and shakes it. “What are you doing?” I ask.

“Trying to scare him away,” he whispers as if Boner can hear him.

I lean up and look over at Boner. He makes a sound of annoyance, lies down on the floor, and closes his eyes. “He’s going to sleep,” I inform Parker, lying back down. “Quit worrying about him.”

“What if you start screaming and he bites off my dick?” he asks in all seriousness.

“First off, I’m not a screamer. Second off, your dick is in my pussy so it’s not possible.”

He smiles. “Say pussy again.”

“Pussy,” I say softly, and he grinds his hips against mine. “Pussy.” I sigh this time. “Come on, baby. Fuck my pussy.”

He lowers his head to my neck and lets out a growl. “I love when you talk dirty.” His tongue runs up the side of my neck. “Say it in French,” he begs as he reaches between our legs and touches my pussy.

“Baiser ma chatte,” I whisper, arching my back.

He moans, pushing his finger into me. “What did you say?”

“Fuck my pussy,” I say sucking in a breath.

“Fuck, that is sexy,” he growls before his hips start to move again.

I run my hands down his back and dig my fingers into his tight ass. He hisses in a breath as he lays his body on top of mine. “You feel fucking amazing.” He moans and I smile. So does he! I turn my head to the left and my lips find his. I open up for him and his mouth attacks mine. He takes my breath away kissing me as if he wants to swallow me whole. His shifts up onto his elbows and his hands find their way into my hair. He grips it so tightly that my scalp stings and I pull away gasping for air.

I lift my hips as he enters me roughly with a grunt, and I suck in another deep breath. I place my hands on his slick chest and push him over onto his back. I pull out and crawl to where I sit between his legs. I rip off his condom and wrap my hand around the base of his wet cock, where some of myself still remains on him, and lick my lips before I wrap my mouth around him.

“Jesus…Fuck…” He growls as I suck him to the back of my throat—tasting myself on him. I reach up and push my long hair out of the way, but he helps me out by grabbing a hold of it. “Don’t stop,” he demands as he shoves my head back down. I open up again, allowing him to take over as he holds onto my hair. He got me off with my vibrator. I feel like he deserves an award.

What better reward than coming in my mouth? I suck as he decides how fast we go. I can tell when he’s about to come. He picks up the pace to where my jaw starts to hurt and my eyes start to water. His body stiffens and his stomach muscles tighten as he calls out my name. The moment I feel him fill the back of my throat, I swallow.

He lifts my head up off his cock and I take one deep breath after another. He throws me down onto my back and kisses me deeply.

We lie on my bed side by side both breathing heavily and covered in sweat.

“Do you ever want more?” I ask looking up to the ceiling. This has been on my mind for a few days now. With my father being in a home, it has opened my eyes. What do we have to live for?

“Of course. I’m a man,” he says as his hand glides up my stomach and cups my breast.

I shove him away with a grunt. “I mean out of life. Do you ever want more?” I ask looking over at him.

He looks at me intently. “Is this gonna be one of those conversations where you end up crying as I awkwardly pat your back?”

I roll my eyes. “No. I don’t cry.”
But thanks for the support.

“Ever?” I shake my head. “Hmm.”

“Anyway,” I say looking away from him. “Do you ever want more? Like more time? More days that make you smile?” My father has been the only one to ever make me smile…until Parker came into my life. He actually makes me laugh. He reminds me of my father and as twisted as that sounds, it’s healing.

He shifts and then I feel his hand on my face. He gently places his palm on my face and guides me to look over at him. “What is there not to smile about?” he asks in all seriousness.

Parker thinks differently than I do. He’s always saying stupid shit that makes me laugh. He’s just a big kid. But I don’t see the world like he does—all fun and games.

“Everything,” I say and he frowns. “It’s just you’re always cracking jokes. And I…”

“I get it.” He lets out a long breath and stands from the bed. “Life is full of ugliness. With our jobs, we see it every day.” He runs a hand through his hair with a heavy sigh. “Like that day I first met you. I would have never been so rough with a woman, but I had just come from a bad car wreck. I had pulled up to a two-year-old little girl lying dead in a street while the father lay bloody and crying just four feet from her. The baby had not been in her car seat properly and was ejected through the back. The baby was only a year older than Sadey.”

“Sam and Slade’s little girl?” I remember her from the wedding.

He nods. “I love kids. Do I plan to have them myself? Probably not. But I love kids. Their innocence, the things they say. I like to be a grown kid. I’m tired of all the death and violence that I see every day.”

“Everything happens for a reason, Parker,” I say softly.

“Try telling that to a mother who lost her child due to her husband’s careless actions.”

I get up onto my knees. “I was referring to you. I see it every day, too. And believe me, the bad things we see stick with you. But the good things. You pulled your best friend’s pregnant wife out a truck and performed CPR.” Samantha told me this story just last week when I went into the bakery griping about Parker. Even though I find him to be an ass at times, that story didn’t surprise me. “You saved her. You also saved the father of that little girl.” I drop my eyes for a second. “No one’s life is more valuable than the other. But we don’t get to pick and choose who we save. We do our job, and at the end of the day, that’s all the matters.”

“But what happens when that’s not enough?” he asks as his dark brown eyes search mine. And I don’t have an answer for him because I’ve been asking myself that same question.

An hour later, Parker and I are climbing out of his truck at a hole in the wall bar. After we had finished having our talk, Parker checked his phone and had a missed call from Slade. He had called him asking if he wanted to go have a few drinks. I guess his parents were watching Sadey for a few hours for them and they wanted to get out. I was surprised when Parker asked me if I wanted to go as well. I jumped at the chance for a beer. I felt a little high strung after our heart to heart talk. It’s one thing to get naked in front of someone, but it’s another to open up your fears to another.

I pull my purse up on my shoulder as he opens the door for me. “Thanks,” I say awkwardly. This just feels weird to be here with him. But in a way, it feels kind of right, which makes it even more confusing.

I spot Sam as soon as I enter, and she waves her hand in the air with a big smile on her face. I tense when Parker places his hand on my back and helps guide me over there. In the bedroom, naked, I’m okay with what we are doing. But in public, for all to see, it just feels weird.

“Hey, guys. Glad you could make it out,” Sam says as we sit down.

“Yeah,” Slade says with a huge grin on his face as he looks back and forth between the two of us. “What were you guys doing when I called you earlier?” He looks at Parker.

“Hugging a toilet,” Parker says with a big smile on his face. Sam and I look at each other completely confused by what that means, but Slade laughs as he looks at me.

“Hugging the toilet,” he says softly to himself. “Good one.”

“Do I even wanna know what that means?” I ask, leaning over to speak to Parker.

“It’s marriage code for sex,” he responds in all seriousness.

Okay! Like I said, I don’t even want to know. “So, Katherine,” Sam says getting my attention. “How is your father doing?” she asks.

I would normally avoid this conversation, but Parker already knows. “He’s okay.” I don’t wanna go into too much detail about his situation. “I had him moved to a nursing home last week. He seems to like it.” I think it’s really gonna help him. I feel like he has friends who he can talk to and that the constant social interaction helps him on a daily basis.

She gives me a soft smile. “You’ll have to let me know where. I’ll send him some flowers.” She is so sweet. “Everyone likes flowers.”

“Kat doesn’t,” Parker informs them. “I brought flowers to her door, and she threw them in the front yard.”

Slade laughs and Sam smiles. “You probably deserved it.”

His mouth drops open. “I swear you all think I’m this horrible guy,” he says as if he’s truly offended.

“I know you stole those flowers from Tate and Missy’s wedding.” Sam gasps. “And after you left, I brought them into the house.”

“You did?” He looks over at me in surprise.

“Of course.” I repeat Sam’s words. “Everyone loves flowers.”

We all fall into conversation easily. The guys talk about their security company. Sam and I talk about their daughter, Sadey, and the bakery. Everything is going better than I would have guessed it would go. It’s nice to see Parker around his friends. He’s laid back. He smiles and laughs a lot. At one point, he leaned back in his seat and placed his arm around my shoulders. Sam smiled and Slade hid a laugh behind his beer at the motion. I have a feeling his guys are gonna give him a hard time about me.

An hour quickly passes by and the guys are at the back of the bar playing a game of pool when I get up to go to the restroom. I walk past them and into the hallway when I hear Slade speak.

“You guys getting serious?” Slade asks him.

He snorts. “No. We fuck. That’s it.” It hurts to hear how believable that sounds.

“Sounds like more than that to me. Hell, it looks like more than that to me.”
