She pulled her head back abruptly, "Will you be in need of a wedding cake?"

He took her hand and turned it over thoughtfully in his, "I think I might be in need of one, I believe I've found my bride. What do you say?"

Tears came to her eyes, "I'd say I think you have," she said as she kissed him.

Epilogue

It hadn't occurred to Cyndi ever before that she might be preparing her own wedding cake. But with Pearson, it was different. Life was different, it was fun. Funner. The funnest. She smiled.

Gooch sidled up to her, "Who'd have thought a wedding catered by food trucks would be a good idea?" she said as she waved her hands indicating the various colorful vehicles parked in a semi-circle.

Together they watched the guests move from truck to truck tasting the wares of each one. Her truck, the Pumpkin Patch Bakery, was parked last in line. She had baked hundreds of cupcakes, and they had been set out for everyone to enjoy, so that she didn't have to work at her own wedding.

"You look magnificent, by the way, Bailey and the girls outdid themselves this time, huh?"

"They did," she said, smoothing the lace overlay over her hips. It was a gown from the 1950's and she felt like a princess.

Pearson, her prince, was not far away, he was dancing with his mother, and they were whispering and smiling at each other. She was worried actually, this was not a good sign, they were probably cooking something up for her to take on as her next project. She decided not to worry about it today. After all, it was a big chance she took, deciding to change her life, and look how well that had turned out. Maybe sometimes you just needed to shake things up, and as the breeze lifted her hair and made the lanterns gently sway, she walked to the dance floor in time for the next dance. With her husband.
