Chapter One

Let me show you who I am, what I want. Let me touch you like no one has and give you all I am. I want your touch deep within me… deeper…

I need your strength, your protection, your power. I want to be taken. I want your body to command my passion – my desire.

Your rough hands pull at my panties. They slowly move to feel my heat and longing. Your hand possessively claims what now belongs to you.

Your tongue sends electric waves along my body. My lips part and gasp your name, begging for more, begging to feel you, begging for your touch.

I feel you spread me with your size. I moan as I feel the pleasure course through me. I kiss you with fervor, nipping at your lip.

I dig my fingers into your back as I feel the climax growing higher, higher and higher. I scream out your name as I arch my back in ecstasy.

I give you a soft smile as I caress my fingers lightly down your sides. I kiss you and say… I’m yours.

Coley typed the words and just stared at her computer. Why had writing become so difficult? It seemed like such a struggle lately. Nothing she wrote seemed genuine or real. She had been lucky in her career to have five successful erotica novels, but for some reason she had hit a wall. It wasn’t coming easy like before.

The pressure she was getting from her editor wasn’t helping. She wasn’t meeting deadlines like she should have, and she was losing confidence in her writing. Her recent trip to Prague was meant to rekindle her love for the written word, but it only seemed to be more of a distraction. She knew she needed to focus. Focusing was something she was never good at. Hopefully being back home, around the ones she loved, would help her finish the book she needed to complete.

She started a new page on her working manuscript in hopes to find her magic. She began to type:

Do you want my legs wrapped around you, my teeth in your neck, my moans in your ears?

Do you want to make me gasp, make me moan, make me call out your name?

Do you want me to beg for more? Beg for you to drive yourself deeper?

Do you want my nails to cling to your back?

Do you want me to bite your neck as I feel the strength of your cock deep within me?

Do you want me to cling, to pull, to push my pussy closer to you?

Do you want my gasps to become more frenzied, my moans reaching the point they can no longer be contained?

Do you want to hear me scream? To scream out for more.

Do you want me to scream out for you to make me come?

Do you want me?

Coley ran her fingers through her hair in frustration. It wasn’t right. It didn’t feel right. How many times could she type the words ‘Do you’? She couldn’t help but feel like a fraud. Any day now her editor and her readers would figure it out. The insecurity became too much.

She could write the sex. She could turn words into a lusty scene in seconds. Her problem being, she lacked the ability to tell a love story. She couldn’t find a hero. She couldn’t write of a love affair that would make the reader melt. She tried. She desperately tried to write of a man that would make a woman want nothing more than to have him in her bed. Coley just couldn’t find the hero.

She couldn’t even find him in her real life for that matter. Maybe, that was the issue. She needed to get laid. Better yet, it was time to find love. She needed to kiss a man that made her heart soar. She needed a kiss that would let her know she had found the man of her dreams.

She typed out a short description of the dream kiss. The kiss that her real life hero would give her. Any man who could give her the kiss she imagined, would be the man she’d spend the rest of her life with. The kiss would equal the hero.

Our lips touched. Instant light between us.

They brushed, they tested, they explored.

They connected lightly, unsure of what to come.

Our lips part, combining our souls.

I take in your breath. You take in mine.

We pause. We look into each other’s eyes.

We feel the kiss, we feel the moment.

We see it in our eyes.

We see the love.

We see the light.

Let’s not wait another moment.

Let’s dive in now.

Let me breathe for you.

You breathe for me.

Come closer. Kiss me again.

Coley closed her laptop. She was done writing for the day. She loved writing, but lately it seemed more like a chore. She needed to find the passion again. She just needed to find passion… period.

She got up and decided to go visit her brother and her best friend, Neely. Their most recent love connection gave her hope that there truly was such a thing as happily ever after. Seeing them always gave her hope that you could still find true love no matter what stage in life you were at.

She had a party she still needed to get ready for. She had decided to throw a birthday party for Matt, an old time friend of hers that she had met through her brother. If she couldn’t write, then at least she could keep herself busy by throwing a party. Surrounding herself with friends would keep her mind off of the fact that she had been alone for some time now. Even though she was known for being free spirited and wild, she deep down wanted more. She wanted the love she
used
to be good at writing about.

Coley never could commit to a relationship long. She got bored and restless and grew to resent every boyfriend she ever had. Long term relationships didn’t seem to work. It wasn’t something she was good at. Not that she didn’t want it, because she did. She wanted marriage, babies and happily ever after. But as she got older, she started to seriously doubt if she was wired to have it.

The men she had in her life were never enough. Nice, caring, loyal, but they never had enough to make her feel loved. They never had enough to make her feel like a woman. The stories she wrote told a tale of a hero that was everything she wanted. A strong Alpha male that would whisk her off her feet and never have her doubt his love for even a second. Was it too much to want this man in real life?

Coley smirked to herself. Being an erotica writer could very well be the death of her love life. Maybe her vision of the perfect man was just that– a vision.

Chapter Two

“You fucking bitch!” Sara screamed, causing all eyes to turn in the direction of the attack.

Sara charged at Neely, grabbing a chunk of her hair and ramming her head against the wall. She continued her assault by attempting to hit and punch Neely’s face. Neely did the best she could blocking the thrashing onslaught of Sara.

Coley took a split second to figure out what was happening at her party, before she surged in the direction to protect her best friend. Fire burned within her. She had never felt the desire to kill like she did at that very moment. Watching the attack on Neely brought out a rage that she was desperate to unleash on that crazy bitch, Sara. Screw her normal peace and love mantra. This bitch was going down.

“Get your fucking hands off her!” Caine roared. Coley watched her brother tug Neely from the onslaught into his protection.

Coley continued to pass through the crowd of observers to kick Sara’s ass when she unexpectedly felt a pair of strong arms wrap around her, preventing her from continuing on. She swung her head around to find Caine’s long time friend, Vance, restricting her movements.

“Calm down, Coley,” Vance evenly directed.

Coley tried to pull away and suddenly realized she had no chance fighting against the strength of Vance’s grip. His arms pulled her against his chest as his breath brushed lightly along her ear.

“Coley, I said calm down. Your brother has it under control.” His breath, barely above a whisper, yet sounded so powerful all the same.

Coley watched how her brother, Caine, held Neely in his arms with pure fury in his eyes. People were shouting and chaos was taking place in her own living room. Her party had taken a horrible turn.

“Get her the fuck out of here! Travis, get your bitch out of here this instant!” Caine shouted with venom in his voice.

“What the hell is she doing here? I didn’t invite that fucking lunatic!” Coley screamed as she once again tried to lunge her body toward Sara.

Vance tightened his grip on Coley. “Coley, God damn it! I said to calm down. I am not going to
ask
again.”

The tone in Vance’s voice sent a quiver through Coley’s body. She instantly stopped her resistance against his hold and turned her face so she could look into his eyes. His hazel eyes were stern, yet softened once their gaze connected. She was so close to his face she could feel his warm breath against hers. She could smell him, feel him, and suddenly she didn’t want to escape his embrace any longer. With shouting all around, and bodies crowding in to see the commotion, Coley could only focus on the man that looked down into her eyes. She could hear name calling and yelling, but all she could concentrate on was the way Vance held her.

“Coley, this is not your fight. I want you to take a deep breath and relax,” Vance softly ordered.

As if on cue to accentuate his command, a loud slap of a spank and then a second one pulled Coley from the trance she had just been locked in.

Coley turned to see that Sara’s boyfriend, Travis, had just given her warning swats on her behind before briskly storming out the door, pulling Sara behind.

Seeing a spanking was not something that typically happened in public, even with this group of people she hung out with. Coley had long accepted that her brother and his group of friends believed in the practice of Domestic Discipline. They believed that the man was the leader in a relationship and always called the shots. There was a clear role of the woman and a clear role of the man. They believed in spanking, discipline and in enforcing the dynamic. The belief was very old-fashioned, very traditional, and in today’s age– very taboo.

These men were alpha, dominant, strong, opinionated, stubborn and damn sexy. They also doted on their women and would protect them with everything in them. They loved with all their hearts and gave their whole being to the lucky lady they called their own. They believed in romance and the dying notion of chivalry.

Coley grew up seeing the power of their love, the power of their beliefs. Domestic Discipline was not a foreign concept to Coley. Her brother had been a long time believer and had surrounded her with people of the same belief. Vance happened to be one of them. Although Coley accepted, understood and even respected Domestic Discipline, she had never
engaged
in a DD relationship, and wasn’t sure if she ever would. She believed in the idea and even defended it on occasion. But she wasn’t sure if she would ever be able to truly submit to a man like she would be required to do. She was strong willed, adversarial and not nearly as soft as most women who practiced it. Yet, when Vance used even the slightest bit of authority, Coley’s legs went weak.

Once Sara had left the house, Vance released his grasp of Coley, leaving her feeling a bit remiss. The feeling was quickly replaced with worry for her friend. Coley immediately rushed to Neely to make sure she wasn’t hurt. It was obvious that both Neely and Caine were shaken by the whole event. They took a moment to go outside to get some fresh air. Coley enjoyed seeing the love between her brother and her best friend. Although the relationship was new, they had known each other for a lifetime. It warmed her heart to know they had found happiness in each other.

Coley decided to try to liven up the mood of her broken party and get people in the frame of mind to have a good time again. She turned up the music and started to pass out drinks and shots. In a short time, the party was back to being lively. Before long, many were drunk, all were happy, and Coley was glad her party was back to being a success. After a few shots, Coley found herself a little more than just tipsy. The conversation in the kitchen went the direction of Neely and Caine and their Domestic Discipline relationship. Her girlfriends, Rebecca and Kendall, were highly intoxicated as well and adding to the fun of the topic.

Kendall looked at Neely with mischievousness. “Okay, so tell us about the spanking. We know you two are in love, blah, blah, blah. But I want to know more about the spanking. He
has
spanked you, right?” Kendall inquired bluntly.

Neely took a deep breath and went into detail about the new relationship and how Domestic Discipline was incorporated into it. Coley was impressed at how well Neely explained it to the other two girls who knew nothing about the lifestyle. It was also nice to see that Neely had truly accepted and enjoyed what Caine had recently introduced her to. It couldn’t have been easy for Neely to stand so proudly and admit to submitting to a spanking on a regular basis. Coley admired how confident and comfortable she was with explaining the complex dynamic she had with Caine.

“So, let me get this straight. You bend over his knee, or something, and let him spank you?” Rebecca asked.

Neely nodded. “Yup, he had me lay over his lap, and he spanked me.” Neely paused a moment. “I know this is hard for you to comprehend, Rebecca. I can tell you that afterwards I felt great. I mean really, really good. Caine is a real man. He’s a strong, protective and dominant man. He was so masculine and allowed me to feel feminine. Do you know what it feels like to feel feminine?”

“That’s the problem with today. Women don’t know what feeling feminine feels like,” Coley chimed in. Once again, feeling like she had to defend or clarify the belief. She expected Rebecca to find the idea crazy. In fact, she knew most would.

“Exactly,” Neely added. “Something about spanking makes me feel more of a woman than ever before.”

Coley wasn’t sure if it was all the talk of spanking or the alcohol, but her thoughts went back to Vance. She remembered the warmth of his body pressed against hers. The flexing of his muscles as he used his strength to restrict her. Coley scanned the room and found Vance casually leaning up against a wall talking to some friends. As if he sensed her stare, his eyes made contact with hers and for a moment, they both just looked into each other’s eyes. The corner of his mouth slowly shifted into a smile. His hazel eyes glimmered from a far. Coley found herself wanting to be back in his arms. His light brown hair haphazardly styled, and the light scruff on his face gave him a rugged appeal that made Coley’s mouth water. The muscles that pressed against the sleeve of his simple t-shirt made her want to see more of what was hidden by the cotton fabric. The way his jeans loosely hung off his hips had Coley picturing her hands slowly lowering them. She wanted him. She wouldn’t act on it of course, but deep down she wanted it. She had known Vance for quite some time, and if she was honest with herself, she knew she had a crazy crush and always had.

With a slight nod, Vance motioned for Coley to meet him outside on the patio. Coley’s heart skipped as she smiled and made her way to meet him. He opened the door for her as they approached the slider and they both sat down on a nearby bench. The warm outside air made the night feel absolutely perfect. The flowers blooming everywhere and their sweet aroma filled the deep breath Coley took to calm her nerves. She wasn’t sure why she was so nervous. She had known Vance for years. He was a long time buddy and fellow fireman with Caine. She had always been comfortable around him before, regardless of her harmless crush. So, why was her heart doing flips?

Vance smiled softly. “You threw a really nice party.”

“Thank you.” Coley’s heart beat so hard it actually seemed as if it could be heard.

Vance reached out and moved a loose hair of Coley’s and softly placed it behind her ear. Keeping her curly hair contained seemed to always be a constant battle. Her hair was long, and at times beautiful, but for the most part, her curly locks remained unruly.

“Vance, I’m sorry you saw my temper out of control earlier. It’s just that I truly detest Sara and I—”

“Your friend was being attacked. It’s only natural you would want to go in and save her. I only held you back because Caine had it under control.”

Coley tried to control the blush that would reveal how much she liked Vance. “Well, my temper is not my best quality. I just hope I didn’t hurt you when I was flailing around like a crazy woman.”

“I like your temper. I’ve always loved that extra fire that’s in you,” Vance complimented.

“You have?”

Vance smiled. “There’s a lot I like about you.”

No use hiding the blush now. It was in full effect. Coley looked into his eyes quickly and then back at the ground. It was unlike her to be so bashful. “There’s a lot I like about you.” Her voice was barely louder than a whisper.

“We’ve been friends for a long time. I’ve always watched you from a distance.”

Coley blushed even more and couldn’t take her gaze away from her feet. “Why from a distance?”

Vance’s smile grew even bigger. “For one, you’re Caine’s sister, and also because you seem so… independent.”

Coley looked up into his eyes in shock. “What? What do you mean
independent
?” She couldn’t help but take offense to the term. It wasn’t an insult, but for some reason it sat wrong with her.

“I meant it as a compliment.” Vance reached for her hand. “You just never seem like you’ve wanted anyone in your life.” Vance brought the top of her hand to his lips and he placed a soft kiss. “Was I wrong?”

“Yes… I mean, no… I mean… I guess I just haven’t found the right person.”

Vance continued to place another kiss on the top of her hand. “What does someone need to do to be that right person?”

The question and the kiss of her hand caught Coley off guard. Was Vance flirting with her? Was Vance declaring that he wanted to be that guy? Was she reading too much into a simple kiss of the hand? Her head was spinning.

“I guess he just needs to be man enough for me,” Coley answered with a slight shrug of her shoulders.

Vance laughed. “Not an easy task!” He raised his hands up in defense as Coley’s eyebrow rose in question. “Don’t take that the wrong way. But you are one tough cookie. This, by the way, is what I really like about you. You’re strong, but sensitive. And I also might add, beautiful.” He sat quiet for a moment, and then took a deep breath before adding, “I’ve always had a crush on you.” He scanned her face with worry in his eyes. “I’m sorry if I’m being too forward.”

Her feelings weren’t one way. He admitted to what she had always felt. A huge relief washed over her. Coley smiled warmly. “I’ve always had a crush on you, too. I guess I always thought you just saw me as Caine’s little sister, so I never acted on it.”

“Well, I do. You’re one of my closest friend’s sister. Always off limits. Even having this conversation is making me uncomfortable.” He took another calm breath before continuing. “This is why I never made a move before. But I have a confession. Holding you back tonight… well… let’s just say, I didn’t want to let you go. And when we looked into each other’s eyes, I felt something. Am I crazy?”

Coley could feel the blush working its way from her face to the rest of her body. The compliment was nice, but having it come from Vance simply took her breath away. What was going on? She had never seen Vance in this way before. A harmless crush was one thing, but tonight something happened. Tonight made her realize that they could actually pursue something. She also had never wanted someone to kiss her so bad in her life.

Never one to be shy, Coley decided to act on her emotions and slowly leaned in to press her lips to Vance’s. The instant electricity that shot through her body when her mouth touched his was like nothing she could have imagined. Vance reached behind Coley’s head and pressed her deeper into the kiss. Within moments, Vance had taken control. He parted her lips gently with his tongue and slowly explored the wetness with his. His breath turned to a pant, mixing with the small gasps of Coley’s. Their tongues danced slowly as their lips continued to press together. Coley’s heart raced, her mind clouded and her body demanded more.
