As if sensing the gravity of my thoughts, he paused in his hot trail of kisses and gazed across my body, into my eyes.

“I meant what I said earlier, Hannah. It’s not about the sex for me. No matter how wild we get, or how much I tease, what we do sexually will always be about the deeper connection between us.”

Warmth spread in my chest and I smiled. “I feel the same, Cade. You are to me what no one else on Earth ever has been, or ever will be.”

For a few beats, we held each other’s gazes.

But the moment for action had come, and I couldn’t stand to wait any longer.

“You plan on only using the frosting?”

He blinked. “What?”

I smiled, enjoying his sudden confusion. “You teased me for months about honey, chocolate sauce, and caramel.” I pointed to the red-and-white can. “Whipped cream. There is a brand new can of whipped cream, and you grab
only
the bowl of frosting?”

“This is my show.” He pointed at the lineup of condiments he’d moved earlier to the counter beside the stove. “That is my arsenal of pleasure to use how and when I see fit. And I will not be mixing them.”

I arched a brow, trying not to laugh at his adorable OCD-ness. “Yes, sir.”

He chuckled under his breath. “There’s a good girl.”

To my surprise, instead of returning his attention to my inner thigh he grabbed my right hip and turned me to the side. Seconds later, a sharp sting fired through my ass cheek.

I gasped in shock, twisting toward him.

He smirked. “I will however, mix up whatever tools I choose to use.”

Soothing fingers brushed across my throbbing skin as he rolled me back over onto the counter. But as the slow burn eased from my skin, it traveled between my thighs, settling into a delicious ache.

His eyes searched mine, and an unruly part of me couldn’t decide whether to be disobedient again, or let him take the reins.

“Do you trust me?” He put the spatula back down onto the counter.

I held his intense gaze, my heart melting all over again. “With all that I am.”

“Then lie back, Maestro. Let me love you…
with all that
I am
.”

To our social media friends, fans, supporters, readers, reviewers, and bloggers, both those we’ve interacted with thus far and those we look forward to meeting—we are immensely grateful for all you do. Your unending enthusiasm for reading our stories fuels our excitement to write them.

Stone, what in the world could I say here to cover the depth of my gratitude to you? Not enough. But I will say that I’m so glad we took a wild idea over pizza out one night and turned it into a labor of love and laughter. I’d shout out some of the hilarious moments to make you laugh, but I have a feeling you’re already thinking about them…and smiling.

Kat…Wait, what? Is this like wedding vows? You know what you mean to me. The journey. The love. The laughter.

About the Authors

Award-winning and bestselling romance author Kat Bastion has teamed up with her husband Stone Bastion to create the new contemporary romance series No Weddings.

A few factoids about the writing team…

Kat enjoys her chocolate rich and dark, her music edgy and soul-filling, and her vacations exotic with toes dug into the sand. And she’s wildly, madly, deeply in love with Stone.

Stone likes pounding the trails on a mountain bike, vibrating the sound system with rock music, and down time spent on a stand up paddleboard. And he loves Kat wildly, madly, deeply…and then some.

Together, they’re having a blast bringing fun-filled romantic stories to life and hope you’ll join them in the exciting adventure.

Kat’s first published work,
Utterly Loved
, was a twentieth anniversary gift of love poems to Stone that they decided to share with the world to benefit charity. Net proceeds from
Utterly Loved
, and a portion of net proceeds from all their books, go toward charities involved in the fight against human trafficking.

Charity Support and Awareness

The Unity Foundation mentioned in
No Weddings
, the first book in the No Weddings Series, is a fictional charity, but human trafficking is painfully real for millions of victims worldwide.

Your purchase of the No Weddings Series helps these victims because a portion of the net proceeds of all our books are donated to charities who support them. These charities are creating legislation and prosecuting criminals, rescuing and restoring victims, and raising awareness in the effort to eradicate the tragedy of human trafficking.
