Returning from the kitchen with the drinks, she finds Mark lying totally exposed in the warm night air. She puts each of their drinks on the table, leans down, and gives him a quick kiss. She orders him to close his eyes and begins kissing down his body. Lingering at his nipples, she takes one in her mouth, flicking it rapidly with her tongue as she holds it between her teeth. Mark opens his eyes without permission, so Bonnie grabs her towel, which had fallen onto the pavement, and covers his face. She gives his nipple a firm bite, then tells him, “Behave. And don’t move the towel.” He twists from the combination of pleasure and pain, and complies with Bonnie’s demands.

Leaving his nipple, Bonnie continues her soft kissing down his body to his belly button, where her kisses become more aggressive. Mark twists in anticipation, and she tells him to be still or she will quit. Mark once again complies with her order. Continuing lower, she finds his flaccid penis and begins subtle kisses along the underside to its base. She feels his approving reaction, then takes her tongue and drags it the entire length of his shaft. Mark opens his legs, allowing her better access, and moans, “Please, don’t stop.”

“I won’t, as long as you follow my instructions.” She kisses softly back down his shaft and moves back up with her tongue once again. With Mark’s body fully responding to her enticements, she pauses to circle the head of his erect penis with her tongue, then slides the entire length of him into her mouth.

Mark cries out, “Oh, God!” and attempts to raise his hips. Bonnie holds him in place, releasing his shaft.

“Stay still or I’ll stop what I’m doing. Acknowledge that you understand, verbally,” she commands.

“Yes, Bonnie.”

Bonnie slides up his body using her breasts to stimulate his senses, which is fully aware of her every little move. She places her labia over his shaft and slides down, then back up. As she continues moving up and down his shaft, she removes the towel from his face and tells him to look at her. She leans forward and places her breasts in Mark’s face, ordering him to kiss them. Mark complies then takes her nipple into his mouth. Bonnie pulls back, lifting herself away from him, “I didn’t tell you to do that. Now apologize!”

Immediately Mark replies, “I’m sorry.” Bonnie places her hands on Mark’s chest while moving her hips back onto his shaft and feeling herself slide down his entire length.

Mark moans in pure ecstasy. Holding his chest firmly down with her hands, Bonnie instructs Mark not to come before her. She increases her tempo, rocking forward and back on him. He can hear her breathing becoming shallower and instinctively knows she is getting close to her release. As her movements become frantic, he wonders if he can hold out. Then, suddenly, she comes hard, falls forward, and demands that he fuck her hard. Mark rolls her over onto her back, grabs her legs, lifting them above her hips, and drives hard into her over and over, causing her orgasm to extend and her to cry out his name, until he explodes deep inside her. He collapses on tops of her, and they pant until their breathing slowly calms. He pulls out of her body, suggesting they go for another swim. She follows him into the pool and thanks him for giving the help a night off.

He grins at her. “The pleasure was all mine, and I’ll be happy to do it again anytime.” They finish their drinks by the pool, then head inside for a quick shower and their comfortable bed.

CHAPTER 4

LILIES AND SCOTCH

J
essica Silva arrives at her office at 9:00 a.m. sharp. As she walks in the front door, she is greeted by Nate, in his usual flawless apparel, with a cup of black coffee. He walks with Jess through the production area and says, “Jess, you must have been a really good girl last night!”

Jess pauses and turns to Nate, confused. “What on earth are you talking about? I went home, got into my sweats, and went for a short run. Then I felt sorry for myself and ate almost an entire pint of mint chip ice cream and a few Nilla wafers. Other than a brief conversation with Bonnie, nothing significant happened.” Nate simply grins at her, and her eyes narrow. “Why?”

His grin broadens into a smile, “You’ll see.”

Jessica opens the door of her office and is overwhelmed with the intense smell of lilies. Across the room, she sees a stunning bouquet of some type of lily sitting on top of her desk. Taking a closer look, Jessica is intrigued by the combination of red and black in the flower and spies a card hidden in their midst. As she begins opening the card, Nate hovers in anxious anticipation to learn the source of the beautiful display. Jess, sensing Nate’s anticipation, stops opening the card and says tauntingly, “Who could have sent such an amazing assortment to little old me?”

Nate cocks his hips, places both hands on them, and says, “Girlfriend, if you don’t hurry and open up that card, I’m going to bitch-slap you. Who are they from? I’m dying here!”

She grins at him and opens the card with a flourish. Her mouth drops open, telling Nate everything he needs to know.

“They’re from the illustrious Mr. Green, aren’t they?” he asks, knowingly.

“Yes, yes they are. Oh God, they’re beautiful,” she says, fingering one of the stems as she reads the note.

“Sweetie, they are amazing in their beauty. Very exotic, even erotic, maybe?” Nate wiggles his eyebrows.

“Stop it, right there. I know where you’re intending to go, and we are
not
going there, ever. Besides, they’re lilies, which symbolize death, and Mr. Green’s card is as demeaning as ever. He apologized for ‘offending my delicate sensibilities.’ What a royal asshole.” She tosses her hair over her shoulder.

“Jess, why do you always have to assume the worst in everyone?”

“Not everyone! Just Mr. Green. He is such a pompous ass!”

Jessica hands Nate the card to read, and when he finishes, he stops to smell the flowers. Finally, he smiles and asks, “Didn’t you ever stop to think this may be a sincere apology and there is no hidden agenda here? Perhaps he finds you attractive and can’t express himself in his usual articulate manner?”

She rolls her eyes. “I told you not to go there, and I meant it. The only relationship I want with Mr. Green is a professional one!”

Nate wiggles a finger at her. “Tsk, tsk. I do believe thou doth protest too much. After all, I know you find him attractive.”

Jess makes a face. “Bite me. Yes, his physical appearance I find attractive, but as soon as he opens his mouth, all is lost.”

“Sister, this is me you’re talking to. He is exactly the type of guy you have a weakness for. He’s successful, confident, articulate, creative, and doesn’t take your crap. What really pissed you off with Mr. Green is that he saw right through you and didn’t let your beauty faze him in his business assessment of you. He caught you off your game and tossed you out like excess laundry, and you’re not used to being treated like that.”

Jess gapes at him and finally manages, “Damn right, I’m not.”

Nate rolls his eyes. “Jess, let it go! It’s in the past, and we need to concentrate on the future. Besides, any man this erotically creative has got to be good in bed. If Phillip and I weren’t together, I’d ponder doing Mr. Green myself.”

Jessica snorts. “Well, perhaps you should talk to Phillip about your man-crush. He might be willing to accommodate you in a ménage a trois!”

Nate sighs. “Now you’re just being a mean spirited bitch.”

She is quiet for a moment. “You’re right. I went too far, I’m sorry.”

Nate nods. “Besides, what Phillip and I have is so special. I would never share his magnificent body with anyone else.”

“I said I’m sorry, and I meant it!” Jess exclaims, getting a wink from him in return.

“Yes, love, I know. I just wanted to use guilt to make you feel worse, simply because you’re not the only bitch in this room.”

She glares at him and then sighs. “What do you think I should do?”

Nate ponders in silence for what seems like hours, contemplating the right answer to her question. Suddenly, the light comes on, and he remembers Sean Green is a scotch snob. During his research, he found the only scotch Sean likes is obscenely expensive and ridiculously hard to find, but it seems like the best possible response to the display of lilies. He nods and says, “I think you should send him a bottle of scotch thanking him for the lilies, along with a suggestion to meet again in an attempt to get off on a better foot. If he responds positively, make your pitch with passion, determination, and professionalism. And if he still doesn’t waver, we will find another marketing firm to move forward with your plans.”

Jessica is surprised and responds, “Okay, but I don’t know anything about scotch…”

Nate says, “I’ll go get it right now and bring back the invoice from the liquor store in half an hour.”

Jessica smiles and gives in. “Okay, make it happen. I want him to receive it today.”

Already on his way out, Nate says, “No worries, I’ll take care of everything.”

Jessica sits at her desk and begins going through her e-mails. She’s in the middle of responding to one of her clients when she is disturbed by Nate walking into her office with the invoice. Jessica just glances at it at first, then stares in disbelief. “Jesus Christ, Nate!
Really?
Sean drinks scotch that costs nearly eight hundred dollars a bottle? Shit, that’s more than reasonable people pay for child support. I better get some mileage with this gift, or I’ll dock it from your annual salary!”

Nate smiles at her idle threats and replies, “And if he agrees to represent Beauty Boutique Clothing, you’ll double my annual bonus right?”

Sean receives the delivery with Jessica’s note. After opening the package, he yells for Evelyn to come into his office immediately. As she walks through the door, he says accusingly, “I thought we made a deal?”

Evelyn gives him a blank look. “What are you talking about?”

“Don’t play coy with me. Look at what Jessica Silva just had delivered,” he says, showing her the bottle of scotch.

Evelyn laughs. “Are you suggesting I told her about your scotch preference?”

He smirks. “How else would she have known?”

“Well, I don’t know, but I promise I never spoke to her about the type of scotch you like. When she left after your meeting, she asked about your snack and drink preferences. I told her about the gifts you received, and I mentioned you only drink very expensive scotch, but I never mentioned the specific kind.”

“Why would you tell her all of that?” Sean demands.

“Because she indicated she just wanted to thank you for your time. I have not spoken to her since our bet. Sean, maybe she is smarter than you’ve given her credit for, or maybe she got the information from Bonnie. Either way, I didn’t say a word to her except what I’ve already told you.”

Sean considers for a moment, “Then will you please call Ms. Silva and see if you can arrange a meeting between us, say, three weeks from today if she is available? If not, just schedule a meeting whenever we are both available.”

Evelyn smiles. “She outclassed you this time.”

He glares at her and points to the door. “Out! And don’t forget to arrange the meeting!”

Evelyn shrugs and heads to the doorway. She is halfway out when Sean sighs and says, “Yes, okay, she outclassed me on this one. Perhaps I have misjudged her.”

Evelyn represses a smile, nods once, and makes the telephone call to Beauty Boutique Clothing. She is transferred to Nate and tells him she would like to schedule an appointment for Mr. Green with Ms. Silva three weeks from today at 10:00 a.m.

Nate reviews Jessica’s calendar and says, “She isn’t available that day. Tentatively, a week later would work. I could put the appointment on her calendar, but Ms. Silva would have to confirm her availability with either you or Mr. Green next week.”

Evelyn smiles and says, “That would be fine, but from Mr. Green’s perspective, it’s a firm appointment unless he hears otherwise.”

“Thank you. Can I be of any further assistance to you, Evelyn?”

“No, but please tell Jessica for me that the scotch was an exquisite move on her part.”

She hears Nate chuckle over the line. “Thank you for your time,” he replies, then hangs up.
