“Hey beautiful” He says. “This is Harold, are you busy?”

I grab the bottle water from the beverage console and head towards
my bedroom.

“Actually I’m just finishing up my run on the treadmill.”

“Funny, I’ve just finished my daily jog” He chuckles.

“Maybe you should have called me earlier and we could have jogged together.”

“I assumed you’d be at work.”

“I took off a little after 2 o’clock today”

“How was work?”

“Work was work” I sigh. “Busy with the usual in and out of court all day. I’m exhausted.”

“That’s sounds exhausting”

“Very”

“Probably not a good day for me to ask you out, huh?”

Anytime is a good time, I’ve praying you call me all day “
Getting out and having some fun is exactly what I need”

“I was thinking the Navy Pier”

“I like that idea.”

“So should I pick you up are would you rather just meet me there?”

“Since it’s our first date. I think I’ll drive. Get to know you a little better. Make sure that you’re not crazy” I joke.

Harold laughs. “I can respect that”

“Four o’clock sound okay”

“Four o’clock is perfect. I’ll see you there”

“Can’t wait beautiful”

****

It’s unbelievable how nervous I am. I guess it’s because I really won’t this date to actually lead to something more. God I hope it doesn’t turn out to be a waste of time just like all the others. I’m not a single woman in my twenties anymore. I’m a single woman in my mid-thirties and I don’t have the time or energy to waste on a date that’s not going to end up amounting to anything.

Of course I’m late; I pull into the parking space fifteen minutes after four. I’m supposed to be here by now. We agreed to meet at the Ferris wheel. I hope he doesn’t think that I’m going to get on that thing because I forgot to mention my phobia of roller coasters and Ferris Wheels.

He’s probably assuming that I’ve stood him up. But then again I’m sure he knows that women are never on time.

I take one quick glance in my rearview mirror, touch up my lipstick, and get out. I’m wearing something comfortable, a peach colored
sundress that stops right above my knee and a straw hat. I hope that I’m not overdressed.

What if this is the first date with the man that I’m going to marry? What if Harold is the perfect man for me? Wouldn’t that be wonderful? My girlfriends would definitely think so. Especially Lena, who’s going to want to hear every single detail about this date
.

I’m looking for a tall man with a
baldhead and an incredible smile. I don’t see him. I hope he didn’t leave. I would call him but my phone is not getting any reception right now. Finally I spot him walking towards me.
Lord this man is fine.

“You look even more beautiful that I remember
” He says.

I could just eat this man alive. He’s wearing an orange Polo shirt and a pair of Khaki shorts. His Sunglasses are pushed over his head and he’s smiling. “Thanks” I say.

“For a second I thought you’d stood me up”

“I wouldn’t do something like that. I would’ve at least called you”

“Well since we’re right here let’s hop on.” “No-o-oo, I don’t do Ferris Wheels”

“Come on, it’s a first time for everything and besides it’ll be fun.”

I can’t believe I let him talk me into this. We’re on the Ferris wheel. And I am scared as hell. Harold is rocking us back and forth in this seat, he says it’s the only way to escape the phobia but little does he know my phobia is damn near convincing me that we’re going to tilt over. I don’t won’t him to think that I’m overly uptight, so I’m pretending that I’m not bothered, even though I am. I’ll be glad when this thing stops.

“That wasn’t so bad, was it?” He asks when we get off.

“It was okay”

“You
gotta’ admit that you’re kinda’ glad you did it”

He’s actually right, now that it’s over I am
kinda’ glad that I did it. “Yeh, I am but I won’t ever be doing it again.” I say. “It’s a beautiful day isn’t’ it? Not too cold. Not too hot. Temperature is perfect.”

Yeh it’s the perfect day to be out here” Harold takes me by the hand and we sit down on a bench. “I bet you’ve never met a guy in church before” He smiles.

“You’re definitely right; I can’t say that I have”

“So Stacy, Tell me, what’s your story? I don’t have to worry about someone pulling a gun out on me because we’re on this date do I?” Harold jokes.

“As long as I don’t have to worry about another woman doing the same thing to me” I joke back.

He’s staring at me. “I think that I’m going to enjoy your company” He tells me.

That’s a good sign
“I think that I could get use to your company too” I say.

“I want to know more about you, I know that you’re a lawyer, a very attractive lawyer at that, but that’s about all I know. Tell me more.
I want to know what you like in a man and what you don’t like. What your favorite foods are, your passion. What you like to do for fun.”

“Well my passion is my career, I love fighting for people that I believe are innocent.”

“Let me ask you something that I think is important”

“Go ahead”

“Do you want kids?”

“Of course. I love kids.”

“I love kids too. My ex-wife didn’t, which is only part of the reason I believe our marriage didn’t survive. You ever been married?”

“No, I haven’t.”

“I find that hard to believe. I just don’t get it; you’re beautiful, sexy, smart, and successful. What’s wrong with these brothers? Wait a minute…you must scare brothers off?” He jokes.

“Of course not” I laugh. “I just know what I want and I’m not going to settle for anything less”

“I can respect that” He says. “What exactly do you want?”

“I want a man that’s in good physical shape”

“Check” Harold smiles. “Go ahead”

“He has to be thoughtful, gentle, and established, has great hygiene, visits the doctor frequently and goes to church, to name a few”

“You can write a book with that list” He jokes “What else is on your list?”

I try not to but naturally by eyes roam to Harold’s feet.
Nice size feet, oh my God and he has big hands too.
I hope he didn’t see that “There are a few other things”

“Ye
ah, I have some big feet?” He giggles.

I can’t believe he caught that
. “What makes you blurt that out?”

“Come on I saw you just glance at my feet”

“I did not,” I say embarrassingly.

“I know what you
sistah’s think about guys with big hands and feet. I’ll just say this if things work out between us I definitely don’t have a problem in that department”

“I can’t believe that you think I’m sitting here worried about your private parts.” I smile.

“Because you were” He smiles back “We’re grown and at this age we don’t have the time to waste. We want what we want.”

“So what do you want?”

“You”

“Seriously what do you want in a woman?”

“I want everything that you represent, charm sexiness, charisma, independence…I want you”

I’m thrown away. “If you turn out to be the wonderful man you appear to be, you just might get what you want”

He smiles. “I think that I’ll be the final chapter to the book you’re writing”

“What book?

“The list you have should be published and titled
What Stacy’s Looks For in A Man.”
He jokes. “Come on let’s go eat something” He says and pulls me up.

As we walk through Pier Park he throws his arm around my shoulders and I swear I’m in heaven on earth.

We share an incredible conversation throughout our date, eat some of the finest cuisine, laugh, joke, dance on the cruise ship, and even take a moonlight cruise over the Lake.

It’s late, 4 AM in the morning and I’m just getting home. I
don't even feel tired. I’m definitely in my feelings right now. Harold told me he can't wait to see me again and I feel the same exact way. I had the best time of my life. Can this man really be the one? Have I finally found
Mr.
Right?

CHAPTER 7

Trae & Brandi...San Antonio Texas

The sound of the raindrops pounding against the windowpane is definitely soothing, but it couldn’t have come at a more unpleasant time,
Cassy thought as she tossed a few damped pieces of clothing into the dryer.  Apparently her dryer at home was broken. She’d discovered that it was broken moments ago, after a load of clothes had spun around in the heat cycle for over an hour and weren’t dry. Right now she was basically a human ball full of frustration. She was frustrated for two reasons. The first reason was because she had to haul her clothes to the laundry facility inside the community clubhouse in the middle of a thunderstorm and the second reason was because…well it was just because nothing seemed to be going her way lately. Lately she’d kept her distance from Trae. When in truth, his absence from her life had proven to be more stressful than his presence. Hopefully the stress would cease once her two-month vacation began. Her plan was to travel the world.

Cassy
remembered the last time that she was intimate with Trae as her dismal eyes stared blankly at the seductive black sheer garter slip that she'd just pulled out of the basket. It was the one she wore the last time that she and Trae was intimate. She hated to walk away from him but she’d finally realized what all her friends and family had been trying to get her to see. That she deserved better.  That every woman does, even her.
No woman should settle at being a man's option
is what she'd reminded herself to restrain from contacting him.

“Lusting over the passion that sizzles between us is only a distraction. A distraction that can easily cause me to relapse.” She mumbled out loud and tossed the rest of the clothing into the dryer. When she was done she went into the sitting room and sat down at a table over by the oversized window and started reading a novel that she'd been trying to finish. She hoped that reading would somehow redirect her thoughts. Long minutes went by with only the soothing sound of the falling raindrops and the swishing sound as she turned the pages of the novel. Suddenly she heard a pair of splashing footsteps walking through the door. A voice startled her.

"I haven’t heard from, why are you treating me like this?" Trae asked. "What have I done to you to deserve this? Cassy I’m in love with you. I need you. Don’t do this to me"

Trae’s
desperation for her was frightening. Not because she feared him but because she found it flattering and feared the possibility of her not being able to stay strong and truly walk away from him. She sank deeper into the chair. For a moment she couldn't say anything. So she just sat there, thinking to herself how was she going to escape him now? How was she going to escape his spell at that very moment?

Love
she thought. Love is supposed to be paradisiacal. Happiness. Joy. Love is not supposed to feel like this. Love is not complicated. It's simple.
But what if he
does love me?
She wondered, nearly having a relapse. She eased up slowly from the chair and moved closer to where Trae was standing, his clothing were soak and wet, his eyes saddened and confused. If she'd reacted off of remorse she'd allowed him back in her heart right then and there.

"
Trae I can’t do this anymore. It’s over."

Cassy I can’t let that happen.” He said. “I love you too much”

“Why do you always do this?"

"Do what? Love you? Miss you? Crave you?" He said in between kissing her.

"What you're doing now!" She shouted pushing
Trae away. "Stop it! Just stop it Trae. I'm done. I'm sick of you thinking that you can have me any and every time you want to. Go home to your family." She stormed back into the laundry facility and began unloading the dryer.

Trae
who'd followed behind her asked. "What do you want from me?" What do you want me to do? I can't lose you" He was damn near panicking.

"I don't want anything from you anymore." She kept her eyes away from him as she tossed the clothing into the laundry basket because she knew that staring into his eyes would only make her weak.

"Look at me
Cassy and tell me that you don't love me. Can you honestly tell me that you're willing to walk away from everything that we share together?" Trae asked. He’d kneeled down to help her unload the dryer.

"Stop doing that. Stop trying to get in my head and confuse things for me. All we had was sex. Nothing more"

"What is it? Is it someone else?" He asked irately as he stood.

Cassy stood, faced him and now she felt powered. "I'm moving on with my life and yes I've met someone else." It was a lie.

The muscle in
Trae's jaw tightened then his eyes darkened and his massive hands bald into a fist "Please don't do this to me Cassy! I need you" He said and punched the wall. Then cuffed his fist inside the other.

"Just like a man. You behave like an idiot when shit doesn’t go your way. I finally realized that I shouldn’t keep being your option, when clearly I could be another man’s choice? What am I holding on to
? Are you going to marry me? Huh?"

Trae
stood silent, his right fist covered by his left palm, and his eyes away from her.

“Exactly what I thought! Goodbye
Trae” She kneeled down and stacked the two laundry baskets on top of one another, grabbed her keys and walked away

"Marry me?" Trae yelled out of pure desperation.

Cassy
paused right between the doorframe and stood as still as a river on a calm day. Her feet were more rooted to the floor than a ground tree. Without thinking she dropped the clothing baskets to the floor and used her fingers to catch the tears sliding down her cheeks. Moments passed of frozen silence and she was completely paralyzed from the shock of his announcement.
Was she dreaming? Is
a thought that overcrowded her mind. Surely her brain wasn’t working at that moment. Looking straight ahead she asked. “What did you just say?”

Trae
took a deep breath “I said will you marry me?” He inched closer to Cassy. His eyes proved that he was lost and desperate. That in that moment he didn’t care how determined she was to walk away from him because he was that more determined to make her stay in his life. “Please, marry me Cassy.”

At that point her heart was filled with confusion. Mixed emotions. Part of her wanted to cry and yank her heart out of her chest so that she could no longer love him. While part of her wanted to scream, “Yes I will marry you” as loud as she could.

“Are you serious?” She asked, turning to face him.

Trae
took two steps closer, close enough that he could almost taste the minty scent of her breath and slid his hand down Cassy's damped cheeks. He wiped away her tears and just stood there staring deeply into her eyes for what felt like hours. "You have no idea how happy you make me.  How lucky I am to have found you.” He finally said.  “I'm leaving Brandi...tonight."

Cassy
wanted to bury herself in his arms. She’d dreamed of that day, how she’d react, the things that she’d say. But instead she was frozen and having a difficult time doing something as simple as breathe. She stood there exhaling everything that he was saying. He was saying the things that she'd waited so long to hear, the words that she’d ached for, prayed for, dreamed about, and cried for. This had to be a dream. This couldn't be happening.

Trae
slid his hand in hers and got down on one knee. "Cassy Deloach, will you marry me?"

Finally
Cassy said “Yes" very softly. Not caring that the man that she'd just committed to marrying was about to leave the mother of his kids”. She didn't care  how much her intense selfish deceit was going to affect their lives. She wasn't caring about how much this decision was going to hurt Brandi. She wanted Trae, badly. And she didn't care whose heart she bruised in the process as long as she got what she wanted.

"I don't have a ring a yet" He said then stood. "I didn't want to pick out something that you wouldn't like"

He was lying. The God honest truth was that he didn't have a ring because the question that he'd just proposed to Cassy was a spur of the moment kind of thing. A true act of desperation. A surprise. Even to him. His excuse was convincing enough for Cassy to believe him and she was right back where she'd started. Deep in love with a man whose intentions weren't in the best interest of anyone but himself.

"That's fine, you know that I don't care about the ring. As long as you and I are together is all that matters to me. Hell, I’ll buy my own ring." She announced, not even realizing how desperate she sounded.

"I've missed you" Trae told her then gave her a wet kiss as he lifted her by the palms of her buttocks and sat her down on top of the whirlpool, eager to rip off the denim jeans that she was wearing and make love to her in that very spot.

Moaning voices echoed and thunder roared as that one passionate kiss quickly transpired into foreplay. Thick sheets of rain pounded hard against the roof and
Trae and Cassy were lost in one another. "I don't think that we should be doing this in here" She moaned.

Trae
aggressively slid her legs apart with greedy arousal. “I want you right now” He whispered into her ear.

Those words sent chills through her flesh as she allowed his big masculine hands to unzip the zipper on her denims. She let out
an erotic moan as her legs quivered. She’d experienced an orgasm without any penetration. Wow, an orgasm with just a simple touch, she thought. Only he could make her achieve so much pleasure.

"Do you still want me to stop?” He asked brashly, knowing what her answer would be.

The pit of her stomach closed into what felt like a very tight ball, her vagina steamed as the material of the sheer panties that she wore were ripped apart by Trae’s massive hands. “I don’t want to get caught. But I don’t want you to stop either" she groaned.

Moisture continued to build between
Cassy’s thighs. His touch sizzled her flesh. Every touch, lick, and suck brought along a new reaction from her.

"I want you. Right here. Right now.”
Trae sighed pleasurably then buried his head between her sex box and devoured her sensitive core like his life depended on how many orgasms he could make her reach.

Cassy
nibbled on her bottom lip, eyes rolling backwards, her body drenched in sin.  She was lost in pleasure, lost in the man that she loved and savoring every second of the moment. In that moment nothing else mattered. Not the fact that someone could walk in on them. Not the fact that she was in love with her neighbor’s spouse. Not the fact that what they were doing was wrong. Nothing mattered except that very moment with Trae, the man she was in love with.

Sliding towards the edge of the whirlpool, she ached for his hardened cock to satisfy the hunger of her starving feminine core. “I’m ready to take your dick now, every inch of it”

Trae took her hands and stretched them above her head, dragged her shirt up her body and tossed it to the floor. “Be patient. I’m not ready to give it to you just yet. I want you to crave it a little while longer”

He wrapped his arms around her waist then sucked her lips into his. His tongue tasted like her very own juices. Sweet.

“Come on baby. You’re going to make me explode” She whined.

“That’s what I want you to do”

As he raked her nipples with his fingers, they grew harder. She thought she was going to dissolve and when he began suckling them, her womb damn near erupted. This was the best foreplay she’d ever received. She needed to feel him. All of him.

He continued to torture her desire to feel him inside of her and eventually she began begging him to enter her tub of love.  He’d been captivated by the view in front of him, thirty six, twenty five, forty two dimensions of Gods most precious piece of work and he couldn’t help but take his time with her. If he could have made that moment last forever he would have.

So, he kissed her neck, fingers, arms, chest, and every inch of her body until she wanted to cry. It was just that good. Her hormones suffered through a vortex of multiple sensational spasms that she had no control over.

“Give me more
” She begged. “This is torture”

He took her hands and led them to the shaft of his penis. Her fingers naturally wrapped tightly around his aroused oversized penis. The touch of it made her lose it. Another orgasm slithered through her vagina walls instantly.

“You feel how hard it is?” Trae smiled. “You did that”

Cassy
slid closer to the edge and eased the head of his swollen penis inside of her. Manicured nails dug into his smooth chocolate flesh while her quivering legs curled around his abdomen. The combination of Ooh’s, ahh’s, moans, groans, thunder, and pounding raindrops was their very own symphony of lovemaking.

“Give it to me deeper. I want you
to make me scream”

Her sex was overheated. Each thrust tore through her body making her lose control. She tightened the walls of her pussy and gyrated her hips taking his cock deeper.
Very deep. Her clitoris throbbed with excitement. Her feminine spot demanding another orgasm.
