“I’m so close,” he whispered. “Tell me you’re there.”
“Almost, jack me faster,” I begged, my thighs burning as I rode him as fast as I could.
“Fuck this,” Dyson said, wrapping his arm around my waist and tossing me onto my back kneeing my legs apart and taking the driver’s seat. He pounded into me with commanding brute force.
As much as we tried to be quiet, there was no hiding what we were doing had someone walked along the bedroom hallway. I held one hand over my mouth as my orgasm neared, I was stroking hard and fast. Dyson tore my hand away covering my mouth with his and moaning as he came without warning, sexy as fuck.
My orgasm came moments later, spurting hot jizz between us as I held my breath and Dyson lapped at my tongue.
“That was fucking intense,” he said, as he rested his weight on me. “You okay?”
I nodded, closing my eyes and trying to catch my breath, smoothing my hands up and down Dyson’s back.
“Was it good?” Dyson asked.
“It was all good,” I responded, with a smile, as I wiped the sweat from my brow.
Our heads twisted toward the door when we heard a knocking. We looked at each other wide eyed and chuckled.
“Uh, if you two are finished making up, dinners ready,” EJ snarled, through the door.
“Yeah, give us a minute,” Dyson hollered. “We’ll be right down.”
We giggled like teenagers, it was like being caught in the act by your father. At least he didn’t come into the room, then he would have gotten the full impact of the moment with our asses facing the door. We giggled some more and then got cleaned up and changed into dress pants and crisp white dress shirts Harley had brought for us to wear to dinner.

Once we got our asses downstairs, we came into the dining room where all eyes met ours with all-knowing stares. The women shared head-in-the-clouds looks, while the guys had a nauseated, somewhat constipated looked pasted on theirs, turning away just as fast. It was hilarious. The only ones that could care less where we had been and what we had been doing were the children, they were too busy fighting over Christmas crackers.
As usual, the girls had outdone themselves creating a spectacular traditional feast. Turkey, bread stuffing, homemade dinner rolls and cranberry sauce, glazed carrots and Brussel sprouts and the best trifle I had ever tasted. We were stuffed. I rubbed my belly and laughed as Harley popped open the button on his pants.
“Uncle Dyson,” Lisa asked. “You didn’t open any of your presents and there’s even one from Santa. Will you at least open that one?”
“I’m sorry sweetheart, I didn’t know Santa gave me a present this year. If you go get it, I’ll open it, how’s that?” I asked.
Lisa’s eyes lit up as she ran to the other room and returned with a foil blue package with a silver bow on top. The card attached said simply, to Dyson from Santa. It was about the size of a novel.
I turned to Harley. “Santa left your gift at home, I’m sorry,” I told him.
“It’s all good,” he touched his palm to my cheek. “Something to look forward to later. Open your gift.”
I tore open the wrapping paper as EJ handed out glasses of champagne, he caught my interest and I hesitated.
“What’s going on?” I asked.
“Open your gift and never you mind,” Heather snapped. “I’ve been waiting all day for this, so hurry up.”
I looked to Harley who shrugged his shoulders and winked. My suspicion ate at me for a minute or so as I ripped the paper away and opened the box. Inside, there was a framed photo of a house with lush trees all around and a circular driveway. The front door was a striking shade of red and the front garden was beautifully landscaped with borders chalk full of flowers of every color imaginable.
Harley held up his glass, as did the others. “A toast to Dyson…new home owner.”
“Huh?” I sat stunned, my mouth gaping open.
Harley tipped my glass to my lips. “I think you need this.”
I gulped it down and stared at the photo. “This is mine?”
“Actually it’s
ours
,” Harley whispered in my ear.
“Ours?”
“Merry Christmas,” Harley said.
I threw my arms around his shoulders and held him tight as I kissed his neck and face repeatedly. Nothing could have made me happier, I was rendered speechless, a difficult feat to accomplish.
“As of January second it’s ours,” Harley told me. “We’ll be staying here until it’s ready. I’ve hired packers and a moving company. And the girls have volunteered to decorate and get it all set up, all we have to do is move in.”
“What about the apartment?” I asked.
“Consider that part of our lives done, you are never going back there. We can only look to the future now,” he pushed from his seat and knelt at my knees. “Dyson, baby? I love you with every beat of my heart, each breath I take is yours. I want an eternity with you. Will you be mine, forever?”
“I already am yours for eternity,” I scanned Harley’s beautiful face and pulled him into a long breathless kiss.
“Gross!” Benjamin griped. “If it’s not my mom and dad sucking face, it’s my uncles, disgusting!”
“You’re excused from the table, Benjamin. Go find a movie for the little ones,” Ellen told Christopher.
“Yay!” the kids yelled as they raced to the basement stairs.
“No running on the stairs!” Ellen roared.
“I think it’s hot,” Selma said, her chin resting on her folded hands.
“Mmm, I agree,” said Heather and Ellen jointly.
Harley and I viewed our audience. Harley got back into his seat but kept his hand locked over mine.
“I think we’ve entertained everyone enough for one day, we should head over to Chelsea’s place and visit her and the baby,” I suggested.
“Good idea,” Harley agreed. “Chels and Jeremy will be expecting us. I want to see Skye before they put her to bed.”
“Jeremy? Who’s Jeremy?”
“The nanny,” Harley said, tonguing his cheek, “so I’m told.”
Everyone at the table laughed at Harley’s less than enthusiastic reaction. The idea of a male nanny was a bit on the strange side, really strange actually.
~~~
Once we met Jeremy, the nanny with a yummy British accent and gorgeous blue eyes and blond hair, we were sold on him. I know Harley didn’t want to like Jeremy at first, he was just looking out for his little sister, but watching Jeremy, as he took control of Skye, reassured us. Harley was impressed with his proficiency. He carried her around like a football and she seemed to like it, he changed her
nappy
as he called it before anyone was aware she had soiled it and not once did I hear her cry.
Skye looked so tiny in Harley’s arms sucking on her fist, as he twirled her jet black hair between his fingers and kissed his lips gently to her forehead.
“You ever think about kids?” I asked, surprising myself with the question.
“What do mean? As in you and me and baby makes three?” Harley joked.
“Why not? Gay couples adopt children all the time.”
“Yes they do, but it can take years,” Harley said, passing Skye from his arms to mine. She felt tiny in my arms too as she squirmed before settling peacefully into the crook of my arm.
“So you have thought about it.”
He shrugged. “Sure I have, I’d love to be a dad someday,” he tittered. “You’re not pregnant are you?”
“Asshole,” I reached out and slugged his shoulder.
“Watch your language in front of my niece,” he laughed, as he rubbed the spot where my punch landed. “Would you like to raise a child with me?”
“Maybe in a few years,” I told him. “Not until after our therapy is finished and we’re sure. Yes I would.”
“I like the idea of having a family with you,” Harley smiled.
“What did I just hear? Are you thinking about having a baby?” Chelsea asked.
“Far, far off into the future,” Harley said.
“You’ll need a surrogate,” she said, as she lifted Skye and handed her off to Jeremy with a big kiss.
“We’re talking about adopting,” I told her.
Chelsea looked from Harley to me and back again, she sat between us on the edge of the coffee table and leaned forward, her elbows on her knees. She was up to something.
“Skye is the best thing that ever happened to me. I wouldn’t give her up for the world.”
“We know that,” Harley said. “What’s on your mind sis?”
Her hesitation made me feel uncomfortable. I could see the wheels in her head turning. There was something she wanted to say, something important enough that she was planning it out in her mind.
“I would like to be your surrogate, when the time comes,” she announced taking us both by surprise. “I’m serious, Harley. I want to do this for you and my brother-in-law. You’re my brother, we share DNA. So with my eggs and Dyson’s sperm it would be the closest thing to you two really having a baby together, except that neither of you have the plumbing capable of carrying a child and I do.”
Chelsea took our hands into each of hers. She smiled and tightened her grip. “Consider it my Christmas present to you both. Please let me do this.”
Harley and I looked to each other and smiled.
“When we decide it’s time, we would be honored to have you carry our child,” Harley said, yanking her between us for a three-way hug and kiss session.
We hugged and kissed some more and I shared the news about our house and we hugged some more. I think Jeremy was convinced we had lost our ever loving minds when he came from the nursery and saw us huddled on the sofa in a slobbering mass.
“Are we having a moment?” he asked. “Will I put on the kettle?”
“No thank you Jeremy, we’re celebrating, break out the beer,” Chelsea told him.
“Kettle?” Harley asked.
“I think it’s a British thing, something about a cuppa making everything better. He’s always offering to put on the kettle,” she laughed. “I don’t have the heart to tell him I hate tea.”
I don’t think I have ever been this nervous in my entire life.
I looked out the window to the sky, it was the most brilliant shade of blue, with the odd fluffy white cloud here and there. The sun was shining so bright I had to squint against it to see. It looks warm and inviting and I would have loved to have been outside basking in its glow, but I was inside this small room, stuffed full of family and friends. I could use an antacid about now, the coffee from the machine down the hall had given me a powerful case of heartburn, it was like a raging inferno deep in my belly.
We had been waiting a long time for this day to come, but for some reason we weren’t quite ready for the call. Harley was pacing back and forth and I laughed because I noticed his t-shirt was inside out, the little white tag was hanging out at the nape of his neck. He was in such a rush to get dressed. I checked myself out, making sure I dressed myself properly. I did, I was okay except for two different socks, but no one would notice I was sure. I tugged on his label and watched as he laughed, pulling it off and slipping it back on, smoothing the wrinkles with his palms.
My mom and dad looked cool as cucumbers, he was reading a digest magazine and she was knitting, that seemed to be all she did lately. EJ looked about as thrilled to be here as he would have been if he was forced to eat glass. Ellen on the other hand was excited. Her, Selma and Heather were loving every minute of my anxiety as they sat in the corner, nattering away. Clayton was busy with his phone, probably drumming up business since Harley had been preoccupied for the last month or so.
Tobias and Tag went for coffee hours ago, well it felt like hours anyway, one look at my watch told me they had been gone far too long. Where had they gone to get this coffee, were they going to Columbia to get the fucking beans? My gut couldn’t handle anymore coffee anyway.
I had to calm down, this was crazy. I knew I’d never done this before but it should have been a breeze for me, but it was not, it was nerve wracking. How anyone could do this two, three, four times was beyond me. I wiped my clammy hands on my thighs and rested my elbows on my knees. How much longer was this going to take?
“Cooper-Michaels?”
I heard our names and leapt to my feet. This was it, the moment we had been waiting for. Harley walked over, holding out his hand, and taking mine in a firm grip. His dutiful smile helped me slow down. He was so fucking calm like the rest of them, but how?
“Take it easy Dyson, you’re going to stroke out if you don’t calm down,” he laughed.
“Bite me,” I growled.
We followed the chunky little gray-haired woman down the stark white hallway, it was uncomfortably quiet, it should be noisy I would think. My mind was creating enough of a kafuffle to make up for it, with thoughts of what lay beyond that door.
“Wait right here, I will be right back.”
“Where is she going?” I asked.
“How would I know?” he said, pulling me against his chest. “Dyson calm the fuck down, you wanted this as much as I did. Are you sure you’re ready?”
“Do I have a choice?” I asked.
“Not anymore,” he grasped my chin and gently kissed my lips. “Today our lives change forever. We’re off in a new direction. Aren’t you excited?”
“I’m fucking ecstatic!”
“Then take a deep breath,” he stepped back and straightened my shirt, sweeping away the wrinkles. “Because when that door opens, our new journey begins and there’s no turning back or changing your mind. Look at me.”
My eyes meet his, he was so beautiful. He smiled and touched his palm to my cheek. I smiled back and took that deep breath he recommended, just as the door opened.
“Gentlemen, you can come in now.”
Chelsea had the biggest smile spread over her face, she looked beautiful, radiant. She waved us closer and my heart started to race. I looked down and tears filled my eyes as I gazed at the bundle in her arm.
“Don’t cry,” she whispered. “You won’t be able to see your little girl.”
“It’s a girl?” Harley asked, moving closer, sitting on the edge of the bed.
“I thought the pink would have given it away,” Chelsea joked.
“It’s a girl,” I said, astounded, it was all so real.
“Who’s first?” Chelsea asked, holding up the baby.
“I want you to be the first to hold our daughter,” Harley said, moving out of the way to give me room.
“I thought Skye was tiny when she was born, this little sausage seems even smaller,” I said, nestling her into the crook of my arm.
“Seven pounds dead on,” Chelsea said, giggling. “And believe me, that’s not small when you’re squeezing seven pounds out an opening the size of a quarter.”
“Eww…” Harley complained, with a sour look on his face. “TMI!”
I opened the blanket and started my count as Harley pulled two chairs over and we sat.
“Ten toes, ten fingers and I’ve checked, she is most definitely a girl,” Chelsea confirmed.
Harley took her tiny little foot between his fingers and raised it to his lips, he kissed it and tucked her blanket around her.
She was absolutely perfect. She had dark hair like mine, her skin was white like the snow and she had Harley’s sapphire blue eyes.
“She has your blue eyes,” I told him.
“All babies are born with blue eyes, Dyson,” Chelsea said. “But I’m sure she’ll keep the blue…Congratulations daddies, she’s beautiful.”
“How do we ever repay you?” I asked, as I kissed my baby girl’s forehead and handed her to Harley.
I carefully hugged Chelsea, scared of hurting her and she wrapped her tiny hand around mine.
“Don’t be silly,” Chelsea scowled. “My repayment will be in the form of watching her being raised by two wonderful men who will make her their priority. I have no doubt you guys are going to be the greatest dads ever.”
Harley hugged and kissed Chelsea for both of us.
“A dry clean butt, a full belly and lots and lots of unconditional love,” Harley smiled down at the baby. “That’s all she needs.”
“She could use a name, boys,” Chelsea laughed. “Have you picked one yet?”
“We have,” Harley grinned. “Jamie Lynn Cooper-Michaels.”
“Jamie Lynn,” Chelsea repeated. “I like that.”
“We picked the name Jamie the day you told us you were pregnant,” I said. “It was going to be Jamie either way. Boy or girl.”
Eight Months Earlier
~Harley~
“Will you move your ass?” I hollered down the hall to Dyson. “Chels said dinner would be at six. Did you see where I put Skye’s present? I can’t find the damned thing.”
We had been living in our home for nearly three and a half wonderful years now. I was so happy I had made the decision to buy Dyson the house. Recently we finished renovating the kitchen, we also put in a large claw style bathtub and now I think we had the house to the point of perfection.
Dyson had been talking about installing a hot tub out back off of the patio. We had a huge yard which we just fenced in because Dyson had been begging me to buy a dog. I was not a huge animal lover and didn’t have the heart to tell him it wasn’t going to happen.
I picked up the pile of mail from the table by the front entrance and scanned over each envelope, tossing the junk into the small waste basket beneath, turning when I heard Dyson walking along the hall.
“You left it on the bed,” Dyson handed me the pink wrapped box. “And it’s only four-thirty, we have plenty of time.”
“I can tell time, thank you,” I snarled. “I’d like to play with our niece for a while before dinner.”
“You’ll have plenty of time to play,” he teased. “What did you buy her anyway?”
“A tea set,” I said, waiting for the isn’t-that-sexist speech.
Dyson laughed as he took the keys from the hall table and handed them to me. “You’re driving.”
“Not going to say anything?” I asked, as he shrugged on his jacket.
“Nope,” he tittered. “If you want to play tea party with Skye who am I to stop you? I’m ready to go when you are.”
I clicked the fob and unlocked the car doors. Dyson rounded to the passenger’s side and leaned his arms on the roof. “What’s the occasion for tonight’s dinner, I never did ask and you never said.”
I shrugged my shoulders. “Your guess is as good as mine.”
“Hmm…I hope that it’s not bad news,” Dyson said, his brows furrowed as he climbed into the car.
Chelsea was always so busy with work and Skye, that she rarely did the dinner party thing. If anything, it was takeout at our place so Skye could run off some of her never ending energy in the backyard and Chelsea could put her feet up for a while. Not that we minded one iota, we had a blast entertaining our niece, or should I say her entertaining us. We even bought a swing set and sandbox and were toying with the idea of building a tree house.
The drive to Chelsea’s was short and sweet, which happily gave me less time to worry. I was wishing Dyson hadn’t put bad notions into my head. But once I saw Chelsea’s smiling face and my beautiful niece yelling my name and jumping into my arms, all worries shot out the window.
Jeremy was busy making dinner. By the way, he proposed to Chelsea six months ago, they have been planning a September wedding, something intimate in our backyard. We shook hands, he told us to help ourselves to drinks and we watched as Skye opened her gift. Skye’s little face beamed as she tore open the box and delicately removed every piece.
While we waited for dinner, we all suffered through a mini tea party with Skye. Chelsea filled each cup with a little green Kool-Aid and broke up a cookie dividing it up between us, not wanting to ruin our appetites. Jeremy had been slaving over the stove all day she told us, now I knew something was up since he was doing the cooking.
Dinner was great, roast beef, Yorkshire pudding and mashed potatoes with dark brown gravy. Once the table was cleared, we moved to the living room with our coffee and watched Skye play with her toys while we chatted about nothing in particular.
“I’ll be right back with dessert,” Chelsea announced, and ran out of the room. “Don’t move!”
We had no intention of moving. Chelsea was not acting like herself. We looked at each other, Jeremy’s face wasn’t giving anything away either and Skye couldn’t care less, as she stacked wooden blocks like a tower and giggled when she knocked them down.
Chelsea came back in with a tray, setting it on the table. She passed us each a large slice of cake while announcing that Skye had helped make dessert. That was her subtle way of warning us that we needed to make a fuss and better eat every morsel and damn well like it too.
“It looks yummy, Skye,” I took a bite, it wasn’t half bad at all. “Mmm, it’s so good!”
“Yummy,” Dyson hummed.
Skye climbed in between Dyson and me on the sofa and licked all the icing off of her cake, setting her plate on my lap. We chuckled as I took a forkful of my icing and offered it to her. She licked it up and when she was finished gave Dyson a gooey kiss on his arm.
“Thank you very much, pickle,” he laughed, wiping the icing off of his shirt with a napkin.
“What the fu,” I said, when I hit something hard while digging into my cake.
“Ah, ah, ah, Uncle Harley, little ears are listening,” Jeremy warned.
“Sorry…but there’s something in my cake.”
“Mine too,” Dyson said, a moment later.
“Oh my, what ever could it be?” Chelsea asked, something about the way she fanned out each word and the tone she used, said she was up to no good.
We mangled our slabs of cake until we exposed the hidden prizes and laughed at what we found. My prize was a blue soother and Dyson’s a pink soother. Dyson’s expression changed from amused to shock as he turned to me and I turned to Chelsea.
“We’re pregnant boys!” Chelsea giggled, rubbing her belly. “It took first try. The doctor was amazed. It seems Dyson’s little swimmers were strong little buggers, more than raring to go. You two are going to be dads, I’m due May twenty second.”
It had been less than a month since our appointment at the fertility clinic to witness the insemination. We had been told that the chances of it happening on the first, even the second try were pretty slim. The process had been surprisingly fast actually. The only painful part had been abstaining for an entire month prior. I swear I had the bluest balls this side of the Mississippi. I felt like a born again virgin the day Dyson had to give his donation, as they called it. I was permitted to jerk him off to get the sperm, but had to wear rubber gloves and a mask in a sterile room at the clinic. Believe me when I say it was less than romantic, but extremely satisfying to finally give Dyson an orgasm. We spent that entire night in the throes of passion as if it were
us
trying to get pregnant.
Although the procedure was always in the back of my mind, I hadn’t allowed myself to get too excited, I figured if it was going to happen, it would, and now here I sitting with my mouth gaping open, paralyzed to this spot.
“You going to say anything?” Chelsea asked.
