Insistently she placed her hands on his shoulders and urged him onto his back. With sweet deliberation, she knelt to cover his chest with hot kisses. His fingers tangled in her hair as he whispered in the darkness, “Elizabeth, I love you. I love you. My heart is yours, now and for always.”
At long last, she knew it was true.
His heart belonged to her.
Her own heart thrummed with joy.
And as she explored his body with her lips and hands and tongue, she resolved to be worthy of that care. In the years to come, she would show him all the love and devotion he deserved.
