ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

There are so many people I wish to thank for helping me on my journey. For the record, no one should travel alone.

For my mom, who always believed in me and took the pencil out of my fingers at night. To all my brothers and sisters and other family members who’ve been there to support my dreams and cheer me on.

To my friend Betty Ludwig for listening to the idea for Wanted: One Ghost as I scribbled the plot onto a legal pad at our bagel cafe. To Rob Carusone, who ‘gave’ April the gift of psychometry. To Lisa Sullivan, thank you for being my very first critique partner. Hugs to my Maryland Romance Writer’s critique group,
all of you,
who saw the first few chapters, made comments and gave suggestions to put this book together. Thank you to Christi Barth and Amy Villalba for your beta reads. To Eliza Knight for her “Edit Your Book in a Month” class.  To the talented romantic suspense author and good friend, Gail Barrett who’s been a fount of guidance and support over the past year, I hope to plot like you someday. To my writing angels: Mindy Klasky, Susan Andrews, and Laura Thomson who tutored me on pitches and kept me from passing out when I did them.

To all my friends at Maryland Romance Writers, Washington Romance Writers, RomVets, and Waterworld Mermaids, your continued support and guidance will always be needed. Romance writers are each other’s best friends and are always willing to share.

The great people at Crescent Moon Press; thanks for taking a chance on me and my story. To my editor, Judy Roth, who has been so patient and easy to work with, you are the best! I’ve had a blast, let’s do it again.

I wish to thank my daughters, Sarah and Jen, for their creative spirit and for keeping me in stitches with their entertaining dialogue. You are my inspirations!  To my in-laws, Cat and Jim, for giving me my own hero, Bill. Your continued love and support are what have kept me going for twenty-plus years. Thank you. I love you.

To my readers, thank you for reading my story. I would like to mention, this is a work of fiction. Any and all mistakes in reference to history or metaphysics are strictly my own doing.

LONI LYNNE

As an author of paranormal/fantasy Loni Lynne believes fate determines her life as well as the lives of her characters. She’s managed to live an eclectic life, experiencing various cultures in different parts of the country. From the Midwest to the East Coast, she’s been fascinated by the people she’s met and the history of each area.  She began using some of these experiences as backdrops for her early, penciled stories.

After graduating high school, Loni served in the United States Navy at the US Naval Academy. Upon the end of her tour, she married her Army husband and spent four years stationed in Hawaii.

Returning to the mainland they settled in western Maryland to raise their two daughters. In between volunteering for various organizations and carpooling, Loni constantly jotted down ideas for plots, characters, and turned them into short stories for herself.

One fateful day her husband had seen enough. He noticed the desire in her eyes and the piles of printer paper in the office. It was time for action. Loni’s husband bought her a laptop, a portable hard drive, a new printer, a membership to Romance Writers of America, and gave her a challenge; have a book ready to be published by her next birthday. She accepted that challenge and this work is the result of fate leading her on this journey.
