Chapter Ten
“So you mean to tell me that you finally got this fine-ass nigga in ya bed and all y'all did was sleep?” I'reon asked as they sat around her dad's pool, sipping on strawberry daiquiris.
Kylee shook her head yes.
“Bitch, you trippin'!” Ja'Nay added. “We had to hear yo' ass cry for nine days about this nigga not callin' you. Then he finally comes over and you didn't fuck the shit outta him, wow!”
“I was not cryin'!” Kylee laughed.
“What you call it then?” I'reon asked.
“I wonder what I done to Eli to make him not call me,” Ja'Nay whined, imitating Kylee.
“That nigga had this bitch over here losin' weight and shit,” I'reon joked as she reached over and grabbed a blunt and lighter off of a wicker patio end table and sparked it up.
“Where yo' parents at?” Ja'Nay asked looking around.
“Bitch, I'm grown. I do what I wanna do around here, and always have,” I'reon replied, before taking a long pull from the blunt.
“And that's why ya pops shipped that ass off to a boarding school way over in Spain.” Kylee laughed.
“Right.” Ja'Nay laughed too while waiting for I'reon to pass the blunt her way.
“Whatever,” I'reon replied, playfully rolling her eyes as the smoke slowly escaped her lips. She passed the blunt over to Ja'Nay.
“Well, it's not like I didn't wanna fuck,” Kylee said.
“Bitch, if you wanted to fuck you woulda,” Ja'Nay said after blowing the blunt smoke out and trying to hand it to Kylee.
Kylee shook her head no. “I swear I wanted to, but for some strange reason, he got this idea that I'm a good girl,” Kylee said while making quotation marks in the air.
“Where the fuck he get that idea from?” I'reon joked.
“Fa real!” Ja'Nay agreed while passing the blunt back to I'reon.
“Hell, I don't know.” Kylee shrugged her shoulders. “So I just went along wit' it.”
“Bitch, please, what you shoulda been doin' is showin' that nigga how big of a freak you are,” I'reon said while playfully rolling her eyes.
“I know.” Kylee sighed.
“So what else happened?” I'reon inquired, trying to pass the blunt back to Ja'Nay.
“I'm cool,” Ja'Nay replied.
I'reon shrugged her shoulders and continued smoking.
“I told y'all everything,” Kylee said, not really wanting to talk about Eli anymore because the more she did, the more the idea of him being married had her feeling sick to her stomach.
“You holdin' out on ya girls now?” I'reon asked, sensing her girl was leaving out something.
“Right! What y'all talk about? Did you cook breakfast for him? Does he snore? I mean damn, bitch, was his dick hard when he woke up this mornin'?” Ja'Nay questioned.
“Oh, my goodness!” Kylee squealed, nearly choking on her drink.
“Huh, man? I'm wit' Ja'Nay on that one.” I'reon smiled while giving Ja'Nay a high five.
“Yes, we talked; no, I didn't cook; and no, he doesn't snore; and I don't know if his dick was hard when he woke up this mornin', because he woke up before I did. Now are y'all satisfied? I answered all y'all's questions!” Kylee said with a slight attitude, trying her best to hide it.
“For real for real, no, I'm not satisfied,” I'reon said, before smashing the rest of the blunt out on the concrete and laying it back on the end table. “You actin' real funny about givin' us the grapes on Eli.”
“I'm hip, man. She don't mind sharin' details about no other nigga she fuck wit' but we ask the bitch about Eli and she wanna get all new and shit,” Ja'Nay replied.
“It's all good,” I'reon said, feeling some kind of way.
“I'm not actin' funny. I told y'all everything,” Kylee said.
“Yeah, okay,” I'reon said, rolling her eyes.
“Look, man, I don't even know if I'm gon' fuck wit' Eli,” Kylee admitted.
“Why not? Just a couple of weeks ago you was in love wit' the nigga, now you don't wanna fuck wit' him. Bitch, you bipolar.” I'reon laughed.
“No, I'm not,” Kylee defended herself.
“So he must really do got a gang of kids like you said, huh?” Ja'Nay asked.
“Nope,” Kylee said, shaking her head no. “He only got one daughter.”
“Did that nigga fart in his sleep? You know that is a huge turn-off,” Ja'Nay asked.
“No, fool.” Kylee laughed.
I'reon looked at Ja'Nay like she was crazy.
“What? It is,” Ja'Nay said, twisting up her face as if something smelled bad.
“Anyways,” I'reon said, turning her attention back to Kylee. “Well, what's the problem then?”
“He's married, that's the problem,” Kylee said in a dismal tone, knowing her girls weren't going to stop with the questions until she told them the real deal.
Ja'Nay and I'reon looked at each other in disbelief before looking over at Kylee.
“Bitch, when you start carin' if a nigga was married?” I'reon asked, beating Ja'Nay to the punch.
“Right,” Ja'Nay agreed.
“I don't know. I guess when Eli told me he was married,” Kylee answered.
“Shit, every nigga you mess wit' is married or got a bitch,” I'reon stated.
“I know, man. But when Eli told me he was married, I actually felt jealous,” Kylee admitted.
“You must really like this nigga then, if you jealous of his marriage,” Ja'Nay said.
“Is that what it is?” Kylee asked, unsure.
“It has to be, sis,” I'reon said, smiling.
“Our girl has finally found a nigga who got her all caught up in her feelings,” Ja'Nay smiled, happy for her girl.
“I'm not caught up in my feelin's.” Kylee smiled, not wanting to admit that she really was.
“I'm happy for you, sis.” I'reon smiled.
“Me too,” Ja'Nay replied, but at the same time wishing Eli was single.
“But what am I gon' do?”
“About what?” I'reon asked.
“About his wife. He already said she wasn't gon' give him a divorce 'cause she refuse to let another bitch have him,” Kylee said.
“Oh, she one of them âif I can't have you then nobody else can' typa bitches,” I'reon hissed while rolling her eyes.
“Man, from what Eli was sayin' she a crazy bitch,” Kylee said. “One who's gon' always be in his life 'cause of their child. And I don't have time for no drama.”
“Well, I guess we just gon' have to show her crazy ass that you not just
a
bitch; you are and always will be
the
bitch!” I'reon spat.
“Exactly.” Kylee smiled.
“And plus, you will be away at college in a couple months anyways, so you and Eli can just keep y'all's shit on the low and his wife won't have to know; problem solved,” I'reon said.
“That's true, too,” Kylee agreed, starting to feel better about Eli's situation.
Ja'Nay sat quietly in a state of disarray. The more her girls laughed and talked about Kylee messing around with Eli behind his wife's back, the more they stirred up harsh feelings toward scheming tricks like Kylee who loved messing around with other people's men.
“Why you so quiet?” I'reon looked over at Ja'Nay and asked.
“Because, I can't believe you two scandalous-ass bitches is sitting over her plotting on this woman's husband.” She frowned while shaking her head.
“Now you was just happy that ya girl found a nigga who had her caught up in her feelin's; now all of a sudden you got a big problem wit' it!”
“That was before I found out the nigga was married,” Ja'Nay spat.
“Oh, so now you Ms. Goodie-Goodie, huh?” I'reon asked.
“No, but I don't make it my business goin' around messin' wit' nobody else's man, a married one at that! I think what you're doin', Kylee, is foul!”
“Who gives a fuck what you think,” I'reon snapped, before Kylee could open her mouth to defend herself.
“This isn't just his woman; this man is married!” Ja'Nay reasoned.
“And?” I'reon frowned.
“Can I talk for myself?” Kylee looked over at I'reon and asked.
“Oh, my bad,” I'reon apologized.
“Look, Ja'Nay, you know how I get down. You of all people know I don't give a fuck about a bitch or her feelin's,” Kylee explained.
“Well, maybe you should start,” Ja'Nay said, knowing the feeling of being cheated on.
“For what?” I'reon intervened again.
Kylee looked over at I'reon.
“Sorry.” I'reon laughed.
“It's not like I'm tryin' to take the nigga from the bitch. I just wanna fuck him, that's all,” Kylee said as if that would make it all better.
“You two bitches are pitiful.” Ja'Nay grimaced.
“Bitch, don't take yo' frustrations of Quann constantly cheatin' on yo' ass out on us,” Kylee spat. “You the dummy who keeps allowing him to do it!”
“I'm not takin' nothin' out on you. I just think it's foul how you constantly mess wit' these married men and don't think nothin' of it! You not gon' be satisfied until somebody plays you the same way!”
“Bitch, you blowin' my high,” I'reon said, reaching over and grabbing what was left of the blunt and lit it.
“Okay, and me messin' around wit' these bitches husbands affects you in what way?” Kylee asked rhetorically.
“You just don't get it,” said Ja'Nay, pulling her sunglasses down, and lying back. She began playing
Ruzzle
on her cell phone.
“I guess I don't,” Kylee said.
“Anyways,” I'reon said, not paying Ja'Nay any attention. “When the next time you gon' see Eli?”
“I don't know. I hope he calls me today and if he does I'm gon' invite him over,” Kylee replied.
“And, bitch, if he comes over you betta let go of that good-girl bullshit and put it down!” I'reon said.
“Oh, I already planned on it. I got a few new tricks up my sleeve I've been dyin' to use, but I had to wait until I came across the right nigga. You can't just use these on any ol' nigga, fuck around, and have a stalker on ya hands.” Kylee laughed.
“That's what I'm talkin' about,” I'reon said, giving her a high five.
“Wow,” Ja'Nay said.
“Shut up,” Kylee said, smacking her lips.
“All this talk about sex got me horny as hell,” I'reon said.
“Where Shawn's big ass at?” Kylee joked.
“Watch ya mouth.” I'reon laughed. “She went back home last night. She'll be back in a few weeks. You know I can't stand bein' up under a nigga twenty-four-seven.”
“I feel you.” Kylee frowned.
“Oh, shit!” Ja'Nay screamed as she read a text message on her phone, making Kylee and I'reon jump.
“What the fuck is wrong wit' you?” Kylee frowned.
“I just got a text from Quann's boy, Teddy, and he said Quann in jail!” Ja'Nay said.
“For what?” I'reon asked, concerned.
“I don't know. I'm about to call him and see.” Ja'Nay stood up from the lounger and paced back and forth as Teddy filled her in on what went down with Quann.
Kylee and I'reon waited impatiently as Ja'Nay held a conversation with Teddy. By the sound of the conversation it wasn't sounding too good.
“Okay, keep me posted,” Ja'Nay said before hanging up.
“What happened?” Kylee asked as soon as Ja'Nay hung up the phone.
“Teddy said Quann let this dopefiend-ass nigga named Willie drive his car and apparently the nigga left some dope in Quann's car. Quann got pulled over, the police searched the car, and found the shit under the seat,” Ja'Nay said, shaking. “I done told that nigga about lettin' them dopefiend-ass niggas drive his cars.”
“Well, Quann don't got nothin' to worry about then. If it's Wilie's dope, Willie need to cop to the shit then,” I'reon said.
“Teddy said he just talked to Willie before I called him and he said he was gon' go tell the prosecutor that it was his dope,” Ja'Nay said.
“Let's just hope the nigga go do it. You know a nigga will say anything; that is, until the judge hang that time over his head, then it's a whole 'notha story,” I'reon said.
“You right about that! Shit a nigga will tell on his own mama just to stay outta jail,” Kylee said.
“I just hope the nigga keep his word,” Ja'Nay said, hurt.
“Me too,” Kylee said, for Ja'Nay's sake, not really caring if Quann did forever and a day.
“He got a bond?” I'reon asked.
“Yeah, fifty thousand cash,” Ja'Nay replied sullenly.
“Shit, that ain't nothin'. He got money and if he don't, his niggas do,” Kylee said.
“All you gotta do is get him a bail bondsman,” I'reon suggested.
“True. Shit, you betta call Chuck. Chuck get all the dope boys out,” Kylee said.
“Can you take me home?” Ja'Nay looked over at Kylee and asked, while trying her best to keep her composure in front of her girls. She didn't want to appear weak.
Kylee didn't hesitate. She stood up from the lounger. “Let's roll,” Kylee said, feeling sorry for her girl, sensing she was trying to play hard.
“It's gon' be okay.” I'reon stood up from the lounger and gave Ja'Nay a tight hug. “Call me if you need me.”
