Chapter 7

Brandon

When Mo finally got here, I was pissed at what she told me.   That nigga was going way too far fucking with my baby.  Like, I don’t know why he would go after Mo because she didn’t have anything to do with him and Tanesha.  But now me and him have a problem.  I protect my girl at all cost, so I’m gunning for him even harder now.

I gotta let this nigga Ace know what happened so we can find this nigga.  I pulled out my phone to call him.

“Wassup my nigga?” he answers on the first ring.

“When I find this nigga I’ma fuck him up!” I said.  I was mad as fuck!  Nobody fucks with what is mine.  Niggas in the DFW know what it is.  They know what is off limits and they still tried a nigga? Really?

“Whoa, who you talking about fam?” he asked confused and concerned.

“That nigga DeShon.  He robbed and trashed Tanesha’s store and then he had the nerve to have a box with a picture of Mo looking at the store.  The fuck?  Now she all scared and shit.  Why the fuck would he do that to her?”  I said getting madder just by even talking about the shit.

“What the fuck! Nigga, I don’t know, but he gotta go. Real shit! Meet me at the trap in 30 minutes,” he said and we hung up the phone.

I went to go find my baby and tell her what was going on.

Baby, where are you?” I asked.

“I’m in the bathroom, honey,” she replied. I walked in the bathroom to see my baby butt ass naked in the Jacuzzi tub, and of course my dick got hard, but I didn’t have time for that—not even a quickie.

“Damn baby, you look so good,” I told her. “I will be back soon, keep your phone on you and make sure you keep an eye on the cameras.  I am going to put the alarm on so you should be safe.  Call me if you need me, baby, and I will be here as fast as I can.  And if you’re good, I’ll give you some of daddy’s dick.” She laughed at the last part but told me okay.  I love making my baby smile.  I have to put my game face on because it’s time to end this cat and mouse game that we’ve been playing.  We need to get this nigga like yesterday.

I go in the closet and put on my Levi 501 cargo pants, with a white polo shirt and some Jays, and head out to my car.  I decided to take the Audi R8 Spyder; I just purchased this car and it’s by far my favorite.  As I’m on my way to the trap, I feel like I am being followed by this black sedan, so I take a detour.  I make a quick left and so does the sedan.  I make a quick right, and so does the sedan.  I decided that if the car does one more thing that I do, I’m blasting it, so I make a U-turn and so does the sedan.  I pull over to the side and it slowly passes me, and I start letting off shots at it.  The back window busted and I put a hole in the tire.  The car went out of control for a little while but then it got back and left quickly.  I didn’t worry about following it because there was no point. I got my point across and that’s all that matters.

I got back on track to go to the trap house, not realizing that someone was watching the whole thing go down.

Chapter 8

Ace

I couldn’t believe that someone was following Brandon.  I bet they know better now than to follow him.  I can’t help but think that this is still this nigga, DeShon.  He’d better get his shit together and have his little fun now because when I catch him, it’s on.

He’s doing all this over a breakup?  What a pussy.  I shot him only because he shot my girl, and now he has to die but he put that on himself.  All he had to do was leave and everything would be okay, but he had to go on that crazy shit.  I will show you crazy when you fuck with what’s mine.

Once I got to the trap house, I noticed everything the way that it was supposed to be.  I guess them niggas learned not to fuck with us since the last time we were here.  We don’t play that dumb shit.  I called for Frank, Shawn, and PJ to meet me in the office again so that we could see what DeShon’s ass was doing and where he was at.

Once Brandon got to the trap, he came back here to the office and dapped us all up.  I could tell he was still pissed from when he called me and told me that someone was following him.

“Real shit. We better get that nigga and soon ‘cause I got a couple bullets I need to dump in his ass,” Brandon said.  “I don’t think that it was him that was following me but I know he has something to do with it.  And I can’t shake the feeling that someone was watching the whole thing go down.”

“Frank, where y’all at on everything?” I turned to ask him.

“It’s like this nigga turned into a ghost, Ace.   We will get him one day, but it’s like he got people watching his every move because we can’t get to him.  He won’t do the same thing twice in a row,” Frank said.

“We trying Ace, but it’s not easy.  I can’t wait to get his ass, for real though,” PJ said.  Shawn didn’t really do that much talking so he nodded his head in agreement.

I’m glad that we were all on the same page about how bad we wanted that nigga DeShon gone.  I figured while we’re at it, after we kill him then we can rob him as well and add to our product.  That’s why Frank and them were so bent on getting him, too; they knew that would be extra money in their pockets.

My phone vibrated and I looked down to a text.

I love you baby. What do you want to eat for dinner?
  My baby texted me.

I want you for dinner. I love you more.

Baby, for real, I’m gonna go to the store when we leave here.  Ask Brandon if he wants to come to dinner too cause Mo coming.

Okay baby, make your famous spaghetti.

OMG boy! You always want that shit.  Okay ttyl.

I loved that woman.  I’m thinking about wifing her, for real.  She doesn’t need to be with anyone else, anymore.  Ace got her.  I have never been married before but I just know that she is the one that I need to marry.  Time is not a measure of love.

I snapped back to reality and asked, “Y’all ready for that shipment tonight?”  Frank shook his head.  It was the fourteenth of the month and we get the kilos shipped to us at midnight from the Gulf so that the fifteenth, which is payday, we would make a lot of money.  You would be surprised how many politicians, cops, and military workers were on my clientele list.  That’s why we were untouchable in the DFW area.

“Aight y’all, go ahead and get ready for tonight. Call me and let me know if you need anything,” I said dismissing those niggas.

“Brandon, Tanesha asked me to tell you to come over for dinner tonight ‘cause Mo is,” I told Brandon, knowing he would be down because where Mo goes, he goes.

“Hell yeah, you know I’m down for Tanesha’s cooking.  Let me guess, you asked her to make spaghetti, huh?” he said, and we both laughed because everyone knew how much I loved her spaghetti and I ask her to make that shit all the damn time.

“But for real man, we need to get ahold of this nigga because I have been having a bad feeling about everything.  This nigga is like a thorn in my side. I gotta get rid of him,” Brandon said.

I felt everything that he was saying because I had been having a bad feeling too.  It’s like this nigga is gonna do whatever he gotta do to get Tanesha back, but she is not going anywhere. She’s been mine since the day we met.  Boyfriend or not.

Mo

“This nigga always want spaghetti,” Tanesha said and we laughed because it was true.  My best friend’s spaghetti was bomb though.  I know she was tired of cooking it all the time.

I looked over my shoulder for the tenth time it seemed.  I don’t know what was wrong with me, but it just felt like someone was watching me and I just couldn’t shake that feeling.  I became a home body.  I didn’t want to leave the house unless I had to.  Hell, sometimes I didn’t even want to go to work, but I couldn’t leave my bitch by herself all damn day.  Running both of our stores was hectic and very time consuming, and I hated it when she got shot and I had to do it all by myself.  I would never do that to Tanesha.  Hell, she don’t even have the patience to run these two stores by herself.  She’s crazy as hell for real.

“Mo, everything is okay.  You know I got you. You know your man doesn’t play so he got you.  And you know that Ace would never let anything happen to my best friend,” Tanesha said to calm me down.   I know that she was right, but that wouldn’t stop this nagging feeling that I had like something bad was going to happen.  It was like someone’s shadow was hanging over me and that was really bothering me.

I knew that I was not going to stay cooped up in the house forever though; I needed to get a grip on myself and reality.  I know I had been driving my baby crazy but he loved me so it was okay.

“Bitch, get yo’ ass out here! Yeah, you wanna be all up over my man and shit. Come on bitch, don’t act scared,” some little bitch said to me.  Tanesha looked at me and before I could stop her, she was all in the girl’s face.

“Who you think you talking to, bitch?” Tanesha did not play when it came to me and sometimes I couldn’t stand that because I could handle myself.

“Bitch, I ain’t talking to yo’ stank ass. I know that I’m talking to the bitch
Mo
who call herself fucking with my man.  My name is Tyesha. Ask him about me, hoe,” she said. Before I knew it, Tanesha had slapped two teeth out her mouth and they were on the floor.  Tanesha was smaller than her, but she was giving her a run for her money.  The security at our store finally pulled Tanesha off of her and she straightened out her shirt and came back to me like nothing happened.

“You a weak ass bitch, huh?  You can’t fight for you—” She couldn’t even finish her sentence before I punched her dead in her mouth.  She grabbed my hair and slammed me down to the ground and while she tried to get on top of me, I kicked her bitch ass in her stomach and she fell.  I got on top of her and went to work, until the security guard got me off of her.  She was really fucking with the wrong bitch.  I may be skinny but I don’t fuck around.

When they pulled me off of her, I kicked her in the face and busted her nose.  Good thing I own a clothing store because we both could change our bloody clothes.  We didn’t take peoples’ shit and hardly ever got our ass beats.  It may be a tie if anything.

I needed to figure out who the fuck this bitch is and what she got to do with my man.  We been dating for a few months now and I thought we were very happy, but I would be damned if a nigga was gonna play me.  He got me fucked all the way up.  It ain’t nothing for me to leave a nigga.  I love him but I am not the one for the childish games.  I been through enough already in my past relationships and I now know how to let go.

“Girl, what you want to do?  You gonna call him or are you gonna confront him at the house tonight?” Tanesha asked me.  That bitch was always down for anything man or woman.

“Girl, I don’t know.  I trust him. I honestly don’t think that it’s nothing, maybe it’s a crazy ex or something,” I said.  I definitely was feeling some type of way though. Like, how does she know me and where I work at?  And if she is his side chick, he sure is doing a good ass job of keeping her away from me. But still, I don’t go for that shit and if he doesn’t know that by now, then maybe he is not the man that I thought he was.

“I just don’t want to jump to any conclusions and be wrong,” I told her and she nodded her head.

“Okay girl, we can close up the shop right now so we can go to the store and get the food for tonight.  I’ma put on this jumpsuit.  Can’t go into Walmart with blood all on our shit,” Tanesha said and she was right; I could already feel all of the stares on us.

We both changed into a jumpsuit and headed to Walmart. I kept noticing a dark sedan weaving in and out of traffic and I just knew it was following us.

“T, you see that sedan?  I think that it’s following us,” I said.  She just rolled her eyes and said that I need to calm down.  I know I may sound crazy ever since that shit went down at the store with DeShon, but a bitch had to watch her back in these streets.

We turned left and the sedan turned left, and Tanesha still didn’t realize it.  I know I ain’t crazy, this car is following us for real.  “T, make a left and a right then one more left.  Watch your mirrors and tell me if I’m tripping still,” I told her.  She followed my instructions and sure enough, I was right the whole time.  The car was following us.

Tanesha surprised me and placed a nine on her lap while slowing the car down.  I bet my paycheck that Ace is telling her to stay strapped; at least he let her handle her own.  My man makes me stay up under him all day to keep me safe, which I don’t mind because I don’t think that I could pull a trigger.

The car passed us and we got a good look at the man who was driving the sedan. He smiled and winked at us then sped off.

“This motherfucker!” Tanesha screamed.  It was DeShon following us.  He was being really bold these days, but my thing is why is he taking it this far?  Was a breakup really that serious?  Like nigga, you are the one who shot her so what you mad for. Whatever happened after you shot her, it’s your fault.

Tanesha called Ace and told him what happened and I didn’t even have to hear they conversation to know that he was pissed.  We went into Walmart to get the cooking supplies then made our way back to Tanesha’s house.  I guess Ace told Brandon what happened and he called himself being mad that I didn’t call him and let him know, but we got a situation to deal with before I tell his ass anything.

We gonna get down to the bottom of this Tyesha situation. I’ll be damned if I put my all into another fuck nigga, believe that.

Chapter 9

Brandon

I was hot as fuck with Mo!  How could she not tell me some important shit like that nigga was following her, and then the nigga gone smile and wink at her ass.  Oh, hell yeah, she got some damn explaining to do.  Then she was ignoring my text messages. She had her read receipts on so I know that she was reading them.

Was I missing something?  Did I make her mad or something?  I mean damn, shit was all good this morning before she went to work.  Something must have happened at work, but what could’ve happened to where she stopped talking to me?  I loved this girl with all my heart and I honestly have never felt this way about another woman before, so I would do anything to make her happy.

I never even cheated her.  “Oh shit!”  I said aloud.  I bet I knew what it was.  Tyesha.  Tyesha was a hoe I used to fuck with all the time.  She was a crazy little bitch that never backed down or gave up.  The bitch was always popping up uninvited and unannounced since I stopped fucking with her. She kind of puts you in the mind of Kathy from Black Ink Crew, O’Shit’s baby mama.  Crazy as fuck.

Anytime I started fucking with someone new, the hoe pops up fucking shit up for me.  Not this time.  If she was the reason my baby was acting funny with me, she’s gonna end up in a body bag for sure.  Nothing is going to get in the way of me and my baby’s happiness.

Ace and I went to go get some Moscato for the night.  I was ready to see my woman and to eat Tanesha’s spaghetti.  Her spaghetti should have its own hashtag #TaneshasSpaghetti.

I had to let Ace know what I was thinking because he couldn’t stand that bitch Tyesha.  But before I tell him, I had to make sure that this is the reason my baby is mad at me.  Damn, I felt like a pussy.  Since when did I start giving a fuck if a bitch was mad at me?  I can’t even front on my baby though; I never want to feel this feeling again, so I need to make everything right.  I gotta do what I gotta do.

Baby, whatever I did I’m sorry.  Please don’t be mad at me.  Daddy loves you.

I love you too Brandon.

Yup! She’s mad, she never calls me Brandon.  She either calls me baby or daddy.  I gotta get down to the bottom of this.  As soon as we get to Ace and Tanesha’s house, I’m pulling my baby to the side so that we can discuss whatever is wrong with her and make sure that whatever it is never happens again, because I can’t stand this feeling.  I kind of feel like I am going to lose her.  She has already told me what she been through in her last real relationship and I remember that day like it was yesterday.  She laid it all out for me one night while we were getting to know each other while getting high.

There was this nigga named Michael.  We were high school sweethearts and I loved him very much. At first he was like everything to me until I started to find out who he was really.  He was such a hoe.

He always liked me and we went my whole junior year talking as friends, getting to know each other before we decided to get in a relationship.  I was just getting out of another relationship with this other boy named Kyree when we were talking.  It was the summer time before our senior year.  I was finally ready to be with him after I came back from this camp I went to every summer, and I couldn’t wait to get back and talk to him about it.  I found out that he started dating this girl while I was gone.
