“Oh, GOD, Cricket,” he said, sliding in me. He got two good strokes in, and I did some of my kegel exercises on him. Jyme fuckin’ lost it; he got in ten good strokes and was done. He leaned up against the wall, and I pulled my skirt back down. I had to help him rearrange his clothes.

When we got back into the car, the clock said 1:39 a.m. We really needed to cover more ground, but Jyme was spent. We got back to the casino, and I told Jyme I wanted to make a few rounds just to get a feel of the place again. He watched me carefully and took a deep breath, preparing himself. He looked like he was fighting with himself on whatever it was he wanted to say. Jyme didn’t want me going anywhere without him. He was scared Trey or Troy would make me do something I didn’t want to do. He was about to unravel, and I didn’t know how to put him back together again.

After his third attempt to tell me what it was he wanted to say, I stopped him, and we went back to the suite. I went straight to the bathroom and locked the door. I needed to be alone for a minute or two to think some things over. Jyme wasn’t handling this new life of ours very well. I had to find a way for him to cope with all of this besides the hardcore banging sex he’d been using as his antidote. He wasn’t handling this transition well at all; but I knew he wanted to make this work and so did I. I would have to find a way to get us back to how we used to be, to separate our personal life from the casino life.

About thirty minutes later, I got out of the shower and slid on the thick robe behind the door. I entered the bedroom, and it was empty. I pulled on a nightgown and went into the living area of the suite. I didn’t see Jyme anywhere, but I noticed the swaying of the balcony curtains. When I walked out, Jyme stood there freshly showered in a pair of pajama pants. I loved looking at his muscular arms and his bare back. His arms were crossed and he was staring up at the sky. I walked up to him and laid my forehead on his naked back. We stood there for a moment in silence.

“You can’t lock me out like that anymore.”

I swallowed and then let the words slide off my tongue. “You have stop with the stress sex.”

“I’m sorry.”

I wrapped my arms around him and he wrapped his arms around mine.

“We have to make all of this balance out,” he said.

“Maybe I should do all of the recruiting by myself from now on.”

“NO!” he looked down at me. “If we’re going to do this, we’re doing this together.”

“I love you,” I told him with a kiss.

“Now this isn’t stress sex, I just really want you on the balcony right now.”

“Alright.”

I let him take charge and take all of me on the dark balcony.

When I rolled over, the clock by the bed read 4:00 a.m. I eased out of Jyme’s arms and slid out of bed. I grabbed my casino mobile and went to the living area. I sent a text, and my phone dinged back instantly. I pulled my keycard out of my clutch and left the suite. A few doors down, I knocked, and he opened the door wide with a sly smile. I walked in, and Troy pulled me up against him. He started kissing me at once. His hands were tracing the lips of Juicy, but he didn’t slide through.

He pulled back from me and gave me a glare. “You came to talk, didn’t you?”

I nodded, and he released me and guided me down the stairs to the sectional. He sat me directly in front of him on the ottoman, and he rested on the couch. Troy wore only pajama pants, and he was protruding in them quite a bit.

“Cricket, I’ve missed you.”

“You’ve missed me sucking your dick. That’s all.”

“No, that’s not all.”

He turned away. I watched his face; there was something there, but I wasn’t sure what it was.

“I love you.”

“What about, Chyna?”

He blew out a big breath, and then he faced me again. “I always pretended she was you; I’m sorry, but I did.”

I shook my head at him. “And Michael, what about him?”

“I handle my responsibilities; I take of him, Cricket.”

“He doesn’t know you. Will he ever?”

Something hit me then; I was willing to giving Babe to Jyme. I was just going to walk away from her; but somehow this all felt different. I loved my baby girl and would do anything for her safety. Troy couldn’t and wouldn’t do the same for Michael.

“I told her from jump I didn’t want a kid; but she hid it from me for so long that when I found out about him, it was too late to get rid of him. You bitches are good at that shit; you know. I take care of the little shit financially. He will never want for anything. I do my part, dammit…but I am not daddy material, and I doubt I ever will be.”

“Chyna loves you, Troy.”

“But I love you, Cricket.”

“And I love only Jyme.”

“No, not only him…why are you here, Cricket?”

I sat there debating how I was going to say what I needed to say to him.

“You want me, Cricket. You might not love me like you love him, but your twisted, fucked up brain wants me, too. You just won’t admit it to yourself, but you do. You crave me. I know you do.”

“That’s so not true.”

He grabbed my hand and placed it on his hard dick. “Tell me you don’t want this in that sweet mouth of yours.”

My mouth watered and I pulled my hand away from him and crossed my arms.

“I’m a whore, Troy; I always want a hard dick in my mouth, out of sick habit.”

“Now, you finally decided to admit it. You know you want it.”

“No, I don’t want it. It’s what I’m used to, and it has to stop now.”

Troy placed one of his hands on the side of my face and leaned in to kiss me. I let him kiss me, and then he pulled away.

“I know you love him. You wouldn’t have come back if you didn’t.”

“Things can’t be like they were before. I will find enough girls to pick up the slack, but I will not be doing the same job I did before. I will oversee them and handle everything.”

Troy watched me, then pulled my legs wide open and slid a hand under my robe. He slid a finger into the lips of Juicy, but didn’t go any further. He just got the tip of his finger wet.

I glared at him, and he pulled his finger away from me and slid it into his mouth.

“Are you done now?” I asked.

He sat back a little with a dumb founded expression. I stood up, and he yanked me back down. “You don’t fuckin’ move until I tell you to do so. I own you, and I own that pretty pussy of yours, too.”

He let me go and I sat there watching him. “Are you done?”

“Get the fuck away from me, Cricket, before I go wake up Trey. He won’t be so nice.”

I got up and went back to my suite. I crawled back into bed with Jyme and slid up against him.

“Jyme.” I shook him a little until he woke up.

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing, nothing’s wrong. It’s finally right.”

“What are you talking about, Cricket?”

“I just left Troy’s suite.”

Jyme sat up in the bed and his eyes were wild. “What the fuck did he do to you, Cricket?”

“Nothing, I swear to you. He did nothing to me.”

I placed a hand on Jyme’s pounding chest. He had a crazed look in his eyes, and that look made me nervous. I knew then that if Jyme thought he had to kill for me he would. I’d never realized that until now, and I think I loved him a little more for it.

“I told him things weren’t going to be like they were before. He didn’t like it, but he agreed to it.

“So, what does that mean?”

“It means you don’t have to worry about me. I’ll be fine. He won’t touch me anymore. I promise you, he won’t.”

He stared down at his hands and then pulled me close; a thousand heartbeats later, we drifted back off to sleep.

The next morning I woke to my phone chiming and I looked over at the clock; it was quarter after 8:00. I didn’t recognize the number, but I answered it anyway.

“Hello.”

“I can’t stop thinking about you,” she said.

“Are you calling me because you’re interested in a job, or am I going to have to hang up on you now?”

“When do I start?”

“Today is fine. I’ll meet you at Lecrux inside The Three Strikes Casino at noon.”

“I’ll be there.”

I hung up without saying goodbye. I stretched, and Jyme wrapped his arms around me. He tugged and pulled for me to get on top of him, so I did.

“Good morning,” he said.

“And OH MY, Mr. Samson, what a morning it is.”

I teased him about his morning wood. He didn’t laugh or play along with me. “What’s wrong?”

“I really want us to have another baby, Cricket.”

“Why?”

“I want to have another baby with you.”

“I told you I’ve already talked to Troy, and I’m not going to be doing the same stuff as I did before. That’s why we went looking for Aston last night. All we need are a few more like her, and we’re covered.”

“What does that have to do with me wanting to have another baby with you?”

“Because I know you think me being pregnant is the only way you can keep me safe. You think Troy will leave me alone if I’m pregnant, but he won’t. I’ve already secured the situation.”

“Cricket, I love you, and I want to fill those rooms in our house. We’re not going to be here forever, and Nan loves you. I’m sure she’d take another one of our babies until we can come and get them.”

“Jyme, we can’t keep having babies…dropping them off with Aunt Nan until GOD knows when.”

“I’m sorry, but I’m greedy. I want a few more pieces of you.”

I sat there looking at him. I didn’t have anything else to come back with. I wanted to believe what he was saying, and I wanted to get lost inside of his fantasy world, too. We made love that morning, trying our best to extend our small family. I knew it was a selfish move deep down, but I couldn’t help it. I loved Jyme, and I would do pretty much anything he asked.

I must have road Jyme senseless during our morning session, because he was dead to the world when I got out of the shower. I tiptoed around while I got dressed, not wanting to wake him. I wore a gold, sparkly tank with a leather jacket; a pair of studded leggings, and a pair of black pink bottoms. I went downstairs to Lecrux, and Aston was sitting at a table in the corner. She wore her hair bone straight with a paperboy hat. She had on a black, fitting long-sleeve Henley with a pair of ripped denim jeans and red platforms. I liked her ensemble, and the straight hair really suited her. She didn’t wear any makeup for our meeting, and she looked fresh. I sat down right across from her and waved toward the waiter.

“I would like a glass of the Stallings Mimosa.”

“Right away, Cricket.”

“Who are you?” Aston asked me.

“I’m someone who used to be in your exact shoes until someone gave me a chance.”

“Explain.”

“My older sister taught me everything she knew, and she was a prostitute; but she wanted a better life for me. We were strippers in high-end clubs; we only circled with the higher class. She paved the way for me, and I caught on very quickly. I had been watching her in action my whole life.”

“Where were your parents?”

“They were killed when I was a toddler, and my sister and I ran away from foster care. The men couldn’t keep their hands off of my sister, and she was scared they would touch me next.”

“So you lived on the streets?”

The waiter came back with the Mimosa; I sipped on it slowly, letting the bubbles release in my mouth.

“Yes, and we got by. It was tough, but we survived. My sister made sure I went to school every day, and I had a safe roof over my head. I had to drop out of college because I couldn’t afford it anymore. I decided to start the family business and was determined to go back school once I saved up enough money. Once I started, and the money came rolling in, I couldn’t stop. I finally had nice things, and my sister and I were finally above water. She made sure I had the nicer guys of the bunch always. She dealt with the assholes and the pricks.”

“So what did she teach you?”

“She first taught me how to halfway swallow a popsicle stick without choking. Then, she taught me how to eat a popsicle with the wrapper still on it.”

“Shit!” Aston said with wide eyes.

“How long can you stand in stilettos?” I asked her.

“Three or four hours, tops.”

“I can teach you how to stand in them until your feet bleed, and you won’t feel a thing.”

Aston watched me and then shook her head. “You’re the real thing, aren’t you?”

I shrugged at her.

“You know, Cricket, I think I just fell in love with you.”

“Don’t.”

“You can’t tell me you’ve never been with a girl.”

“I have, but I prefer men way over women; and I won’t be doing tricks anymore…no sleeping, no fucking or making love to anybody else but my man.”

“We’ll see.”

“So, what’s your story?”

“I grew up in a fucked up cult for thirteen years. My grandmother finally got me and my brothers away from our mom. But once we started staying with her, my brothers couldn’t keep their hands off of me. I had to have three abortions, and after the third one, I got the fuck out of there. I’ve been on my own since I was sixteen. Men always wanted me, but I always liked pretty girls instead.”
