146. Cool Minecraft Prank #6

Minecart Trick

The prank goes like this: The minecart comes and triggers a redstone rail which causes a mini wall to pop up out of the ground, healing the progress of the minecart and leaving it stuck. Then, you can spawn mobs and the player will be attacked!

147. Cool Minecraft Prank #7

TNT Under Door

Place some TNT under a pressure plate powered door, and BOOM! It's simple, but it works perfectly every time.

Make An Animal Yo-yo

It's easy enough to make an animal yo-yo in Minecraft. Here's how to do it.

Make sure you have a bunch of nametags at the ready. You'll also need a lead, fences, a cow/pig/sheep.

Place down a fence in the middle of the air. You may have to make a mid-air fence and then chop off the rest of the fence leaving only a pole. Three blocks below, place down a dirt block and then an animal. Tie an animal to a pole using a lead. You can do this by:

Then, name the animal Dinnerbone and break the dirt block underneath. It will start bobbing up and down like a yo-yo. Weird.

149. Iron Golems Give Roses To Kids

If an iron golem has a red poppy or rose (red flower) in it's hand, it will attract baby villagers and give it to them.

This is a reference to the ancient robots in Hayao Miyazaki's animated film
Laputa: Castle In The Sky
and also the fact that the Golems are covered in vines.

When villager children notice the red flower in its hand, they will slowly approach, and take the flower eventually.

However, iron golems do not actually pick up red poppies nor can you give them. They spawn them in their hands.

150. The Coolest Lamp (It's Automatic Too, No Switches)

On your roof, you can have a NOT gate. Have a night time sensor and it will power the redstone dust to power the redstone lamp.

Then, when night falls, the lamp will automatically turn on.

BONUS TIPS

Here are a few tips from Minecraft's best players. Read their words wisely! If you've got a tip you'd like to contribute, email

and I'll check it out and put it here.

Jack Dorman (Age 10) Avid Minecraft Player for 3 Years

"Don't dig straight down. If you're digging straight down, always dig in
two side-by-side paths. One path is always one block deeper than the one
you're standing on."

Chase Franse, (14 years old), Minecraft YouTuber (

)

"Always be prepared for your situation. For
example, if I were going to make an attempt to defeat the Guardian boss, I
would need water-breathing potions because I, for one, cannot breathe
underwater.

If I were going to defeat the Wither boss, I would have my armor
enchanted with both protection and blast protection with a Smite enchantment
on my sword. So, always be prepared. If you aren't prepared for your
situation, you might have to pay for it."
