“Thank
you both.” She rinsed and put her toothbrush away.

“Sis,
you okay in there?”

“Yeah,
coming out.”
She exited the restroom followed by Sam
and Alpha. Her brother tucked her in the crook of his arm.

“Let
me get you to my hotel. You can sleep it off and I’ll buy you breakfast in the
morning.”

“I
just want to go home to my bed. You can’t drive you were drinking too.”

“I’ll
take her home.” Seth’s voice thundered.

“You
sure, man?” Cordero ran a hand through his hair.

“Yeah
and Volante can drop you and the girls off.” The police are strict here. No
need to get a driving while intoxicated charge when there are always other
options.”

Ailyn
didn’t have a choice but to accept or cause a scene. All she wanted was for the
room to quit spinning.

“Sis,
Seth is going to take you home. I know you don’t trust him right now. Just
sleep when he drops you off. I’ll see you in the morning, beautiful.” Her
brother kissed her brow.

Strong
arms caught her as her lids drew heavy. She felt herself being lifted and
carried,
then
darkness descended.

* * * *

Heat
threatened to suffocate Ailyn. She wormed her way out of the thick down filled
covers and
peeked
her head out. A hand snaked out and
tucked her against the source of infernal heat. She let out a screech and
kicked out.

“Go
back to sleep.”

“Seth?”

“Hmm.”
Her sleepy companion rolled over, his hand curved around her hip.

“Why
am I at your house?”

“You
didn’t want to go home, or rather me to see where you lived.” He yawned and
pulled her tight against him. “Can we go back to sleep now?”

“No.
I have to get up and go home. What time is it?” Panic set in. Fully awake, she
turned to face Seth and shook him. “Wake up. You have to get dressed so I can
take you to your truck and go home.”

“Darlin’,
lay down. Your brother texted last night and said to relax, he would make sure
to water your plants and house sit.” Seth yawned and trapped her body with his
limbs. “We sleep.”

“I
have to pee.”

“Third
door on the right,” he mumbled and released her.

Ailyn
slid off of his sleigh style bed and opened the door, and headed down the
hallway. She opened the door to walk in and hit a solid wall of wet muscle. Her
eyes widened when she saw one of Seth’s team members wrapped in nothing but a
towel slung low over his hips, giving her a generous view of his delicious V.
She forced her eyes back up to his handsome face. “Sorry.”

“No
problem, sweets. I’m
Volante,
you can call me Rees
though. I’m guessing you need to get in here.” He stepped around her.

“Thanks.”
She quickly shut the door behind her. One look in the mirror had her cringing.
She rotated her arm and noticed tape and a cotton swab.
Was I taken to the emergency room?
After the third Snake Bite shot,
everything became a blur. She attended to business and washed her hands. In
college she could drink her sister under the table. Apparently, she couldn’t
any longer. After washing her face and combing her fingers through her hair,
she opened the door and looked out for any other people. Another man waited, she
took in his chiseled good looks and felt her face flush red. “Do all of you
live here?”

He
raked an appreciative gaze down her body and grinned, showcasing sexy dimples.
“All of us, except the girls. It’s good to see you awake and no longer throwing
up. Didn’t know such a small spitfire could hurl the way you did.”

She
hugged Seth’s T-shirt in total mortification. “I don’t remember having an
audience.”

“Mahone
tried feeding you and you doused him good.
Like watching The Exorcism,
good.
He wouldn’t let us take turns keeping you company so we fetched
for him.
Gave you a field IV, some anti-nausea meds and some
food later on.”

“I’m
totally embarrassed. It’s still Saturday right?”

“Yep,
early afternoon Saturday.
No need for
embarrassment. We’ve seen worse. If you need a bite to eat come on back out.
The boss is probably going to be dead to the world for a while.”

“I
think I want to go back to sleep for a bit.”

“See
you then. Gotta head back before they come looking for me.”

He
didn’t elaborate as he rushed off, so she shrugged off his words. Rianna would
love waking up to a commune of sex on a stick.
More shy
than her extroverted sibling, she hurried back to Seth’s room. True to Quinlan’s
prediction, he didn’t so much as move a muscle as she slid back under the warm
covers.

Turning on her side, she watched him sleep.
She hadn’t slept in a bed with a man in so long she’d forgotten how good being
with someone felt. Lying next to him, hearing about how he cared for her,
diffused some of her anger toward him. He didn’t have to lose sleep to keep
vigil over her. He could’ve dropped her off at the emergency room and called
Cordero to come sit with her. Maybe time had changed him. Everyone seemed to
have mad love and respect for him, along with there being a certain fondness in
Volante’s voice.

“Some
things never change. I can feel you thinking in my sleep.” Seth opened up his
vibrant green eyes and stretched. He pulled her into his side and inhaled. “I
take it you’re feeling better.” As Seth kissed her hair, she blushed at the
tender intimacy.

If
she had any good sense, she’d make him take her home. However, her wits seemed
to have disappeared, leaving her paralyzed in close proximity to his body. He
lazily trailed his hand down her side, lighting her up. She sighed at his
touch, her body thrumming to life after being dead for so long. “I don’t think
that loud.”

Umhm
, sure you do.” His lips kissed the
sloped curve of her neck. Heat pooled between her legs, awakening a long
overdue need. While her mind alerted her to all the reasons she shouldn’t, her
willpower to put a halt to the comfortable feeling of being in his arms faded.
When he slid a hand under the hem of her T-shirt, she didn’t stop him.
Breathing shallow, she let out a low moan as he cupped her breast and pinched
her nipple between his thumb and forefinger. The delightful scrape of his
stubble along her neck curled her toes, causing the apex of her thighs to
moisten more. Seth bit her hard enough to make her gasp in surprise. A trickle
of juices cascaded down her core drenching her panties.

“Your
skin is so soft,” he murmured against her skin, his erection throbbed against
the seam of her ass, growing harder by the moment. Desperate to remember, she
turned to face him. Seth brushed his fingers through her hair, rested his hand
on the nape of her neck and drew her mouth to his. Ailyn opened her mouth and
let him kiss her with an intoxicating slowness. She folded the elastic of his
briefs down, freeing his hard length. The muscle jerked against her hand. A low
groan left his lips.

Burning
to have him inside her once again, she yanked until he chuckled and lifted his
hips, allowing her to draw his underwear down so that he could kick them off.

“What’s
the rush?” Seth slipped her shirt off, and lifted her easily to whip off her
panties.

“Seth.”
The one word leaving her mouth in exasperation spurred him into motion. He
reached over her to his nightstand and fished out a condom. In seconds, he tore
the wrapper open and covered his dick. With a cocky smirk, he rose over her,
nudging her legs apart. Ignoring the déjà vu of her first experience with him,
she took matters into her own hands. Grabbing his thick girth, she rubbed him
against the seam of her folds, unsatisfied until Seth grabbed her thighs and
drove in.

“Oh.”

He
stilled, allowing her body to relax. “Darlin’, your snug pussy is dripping wet
around my cock.”

“If
you don’t move, I’m going to die.” Ailyn dug her nails into his fine ass, and
canted her hips. Seth let out a guttural groan and set a slow steady pace meant
to drive her as insane as him standing still within her. She burned hot, needed
him to alleviate the urgency swamping her. Slow even thrusts edged her pussy to
the peak of convulsing. “Damn, you’re already close.” He slid his mouth over
hers, creating the perfect friction of skin to skin clapping, tongues dueling
in sync. They moved together in tandem, fading into each other.
Her nipples hard as peaks scraped across his chest, eliciting a
moan from her lips.

“Feels
so good.”
Ailyn’s pussy pulsated toward
completion. Seth slid out and slammed in, changing the pressure of his thrusts.
She let out a scream as he hit her sweet spot, making her legs tremor. Ailyn
came hard, clamping around his dick as he surged into her with stark hunger.

“That’s
it, darlin’, let it out.” He flipped them over, pushed back into her, his hands
splaying over her ass. She gripped the sheet and cried out with each plunge of
his cock into her spasming channel, barely finding a chance to catch a breath
in his punishing pace. Each strike screaming, you’re mine, all
mine
, forever mine. At least those words echoed in her mind,
though he didn’t speak them.

“Bet
you liked that picture I sent you. Was only fair since you left me hungry with that
sexy saran wrap you had on. One taste of your sweet pussy drove me mad for
more.” Seth made her feel sexy with the way he paid attention to her body’s
needs, the words he spoke. When she reached between her legs to rub her clit,
her fingers slipped from the spot.

A low chuckle left his lips. “Slippery when
wet.” He hooked an arm around her hip and pressed his blunt finger over her
clit. “Let go, darlin’.” Seth withdrew and plunged deep as his fingers rubbed
her clit.

“I can’t. So close.” She rotated her hips in
an effort to find release again. Seth’s hand striking her ass sent her
spiraling into a million pieces. She screamed as she came hard. He delivered
another smarting blow on her other cheek as her core clamped around him.
Against her soaked walls, she felt his cock draw tight and flex. He unleashed
his passions on her, clamped his hands on her hips as he sought his own
release. A low guttural groan left his mouth as he drew to a near still inside
her, inched forward and retreated. Heat seared her as his dick shot ropes of
seed in the reservoir and moved minimally while her body milked the remaining
drops.

Seth
slid from her body to remove and toss the condom. She watched from the bed,
reclining on the pillows. When he was done, he crawled between her legs and
feasted on her cream. Ailyn thrashed on the bed, her sensitized nerves couldn’t
take anymore stimulation. He crawled up to her and took possession of her
mouth. The taste of her sex on his lips aroused her. She sighed into his mouth
as he broke away.

“Shh.”
He rolled to his side and pulled her to cuddle against him.

“What?”

“No
thinking allowed. Just be.” He dragged the covers over them.

“I
wasn’t going to think.” She curled her body around him and rested her face on
his chest.

“Darlin’
you have always been an overthinker. I don’t think ten years would change that
trait of yours. I call it a hazard of having psychologists for parents—the need
to talk everything to death.”

“So
we’re supposed to pretend everything is great?”

“No.
We’re supposed to enjoy this before we pick apart the past.” He placed a finger
over her lips. “There is no fighting or arguing in bed. Rule number two, and I
need to sleep. Someone had me up keeping vigil.”

He
was right. While she slept in her drunken coma, he hadn’t rested until she was
out of danger. “Promise me we’ll talk later.” Ailyn yawned and closed her eyes.
Their love making relaxed her body and mind, making her languid, needing a nap
to reenergize.

“Sexy,
I don’t think I could stop you from talking if my life depended on it, but yes,
later on we can discuss everything. First we sleep. You are free until tomorrow
night, so we can spend time catching up.”

“Talking.”

“Among
other things, first.”
His devilish grin sent flutters of
unease spiraling down her spine, until coaxing lips covered hers, silencing
objections raging in her mind. She really should object to his Neanderthal
tactic in shushing her. But his mouth felt so good against hers, too good to
stop.

Chapter Five

Daylight
had faded by the time Seth woke. He stretched careful not to wake up the beauty
slumbering next to him and turned to his side to look his fill undisturbed.
Practicing restraint, he fought the urge to touch every inch of her again,
ingraining his memory with the scent and sight of her. The years had treated
her well. Her beauty only blossomed with age.

In
the ten years of separation there wasn’t a day he didn’t think of her.
Especially the first year he lost her. When depression sucked him down into an
abyss of nothingness, the only thing that breathed life into him was playing
sports or throwing
himself
into something so draining
mentally and physically all he could do was sleep when his head hit the pillow.

He
couldn’t shake the feeling she was hiding something from him. Otherwise, how
could she be truly set against reconnecting, although her response to his touch
remained the same? Being buried inside her was like a little piece of heaven,
he never thought he’d get again. This time—he resolved to not fuck it up. And
really aside from his one lie, his one deception, they were a perfect fit in
every way.

Careful
not to wake her, he rolled out of bed and headed to the bathroom. He needed a
shower and to find them some food. Stepping to the dresser, he opened the
drawers for a fresh set of clothing, choosing a T-shirt and basketball shorts.
Since Ryker copped the master bedroom with a full bathroom, he was forced to
share with Chandler. Rees, Quinlan and Sinclaire took possession of the added
bathroom off the media room on the bottom floor. For the most part, the trio
lived at her place. Their living situation couldn’t be more perfect. When Dire
married Mia, he rented out his house to them super cheap. They kept everything
in working order, made updates and had a chance to relax.

He
turned to get his fill of Ailyn in his bed before leaving the room. The wheels
in his head spun as he tried to figure a way to ensure she returned to it every
night he had off if possible, or close to. She turned over and spread her legs out,
taking up the middle of his bed, murmuring in her sleep. The image brought a
smile to his face. Padding across the wood flooring, he slipped out of his
room.

“Lover
boy is finally awake.”

“Ha.
What are you doing, stalking my room?” He brushed past Chandler, into the open
bathroom.

“Nah,
just getting ready to head out on a date.
It’s good to
see you with someone who’s more your type.”

“Yeah,
well. I gotta get clean and feed Ailyn. See you later?” He rarely saw his
friend dressed in anything but jeans and a T-shirt or athletic shorts.

“Of
course.
My date won’t last all evening. She wants to go to
some festival so off I go to please her.”

“Now
I see why you’re all dressed up. The things we do. Hope
it’s
music.”

“Nah,
arts and crafts, local artists, food vendors.
I wasn’t that lucky.” He chuckled. Chandler waved off and he stepped into the
bathroom, placed his clothing on the small bench by the window, turned the hot
water dial for the shower and stepped in. As he soaped up, his mind wandered
back to all things Ailyn. What had she been doing the past ten years, why
wasn’t she married with two or three kids, a perfect house and family pet? His
dick lurched at the thought of his seed taking root in her womb.

Last
night wasn’t enough. It took all his will to allow her to sleep, when all he
wanted to do was roll her lush body over and take his time rousing her from her
deep slumber. He would give anything for the first sound out of her mouth to be
a husky moan instead of questions.
Damn
if there wasn’t a sexier image of her mouth doing things other than speaking.

Closing
his eyes, he gave into the fantasy of Ailyn’s perfect mouth over his dick. With
long slow strokes, he palmed his cock, building his way to a blinding orgasm.
In his mind, she looked up at him as she swallowed him to the back of her throat.
He tightened his grip, stroking with fevered passion, the vein on his shaft
pulsating against his fingers. Dripping soap added to his pleasure, making the
glide smoother, the sluicing water creating an added tease, as streams trailed
down his body, over his cock and down his balls. Seth added more soap and
widened his stance. He leaned his shoulders against the tiled backsplash to
buck his hips as he stroked, teasing the glans, using his other hand to massage
his heavy balls. Ropes of semen shot out hitting the glass door. Still hard, he
milked his cock and groaned as another spray shot out.

As
his heart rate decelerated, he ran a soapy cloth over his body and dick,
stroking from balls up, cleaning the slit clear, and then stopping to enjoy the
hot water raining over him. A knock on the door prompted him to step out.
Dripping water all over the floor, he swung open the door.

“What?”

“Don’t
take all the hot water, asshole.” Quinlan looking rather
irritated,
topped off his afternoon.

Seth
chuckled.
“Never a damn moment of privacy.
Use Ryker’s
fucking bathroom.”

“It’s
occupied, Ryker has company.”

Seth
sighed. “Then get in the shower with your boyfriend and girlfriend.” Some days,
he wished the trio of love wouldn’t interrupt his life. “I don’t know how you two
handle sharing each other and one woman.” He ran a hand through his damp hair. Thank
God for extra soundproofing. After two weeks of living together, they’d decided
to soundproof the bedrooms for privacy and spent their days off accomplishing
the task.

“Can’t,
it’s his turn. We make it work, but
hell,
I just want
to take a damn shower so hurry the fuck up. Just make sure I don’t step on a
wad of jizz when I get in, you fucker.”

“Would
I do that?” He threw over his shoulder as he headed back in.

Seth
pulled down the removable showerhead and ran his cloth over the glass door. “You
prissy fuck, it’s all clean now.” He turned off the water and attached the
showerhead back into place.

“Good.
So I heard things went well for you last night. She’s cute, you should keep her
around.”

“She’s
off limits, Quin.” He braced himself on the sink and looked good and hard in
the mirror at himself. “I’ll be out in a few.” Seth dried off, brushed his
teeth,
then
shrugged into his shorts. When he opened
the door, Quinlan entered with all his supplies.

“You
know we built the extra one so it was two to a shower.” He slung a towel around
his neck.

“Shit
happens.” Quinlan threw his discarded clothing at him before slamming the door
in his face. Amused, Seth ambled down the hallway to his room and opened the
door to find Ailyn sitting cross legged on the bed texting furiously.

“Evening.”
She didn’t look up as she chewed her lip gauging what to type next. A troubled
sigh escaped the mouth he so desperately wanted to kiss, but knew to tread
lightly to avoid scaring her off. In hindsight, glancing over at her wasn’t a
good idea. She paused in her texting, tucked her hair behind her ears and
looked up at him.

“Hi,” she returned as he approached, hiding
her phone from him.

He
threw caution to the wind and leaned down to capture her lips with his. She
tasted like sunshine and sweet candy. Turning her head away, she broke off the
kiss, dropping her gaze to the phone to avoid him.

“I-I’ll
be done in a second.”

Seth
ran fingers through his wet hair. Yep, this was going to take some work. He
dropped his dirty clothes in the hamper on the other side of his room and
returned see her slipping her phone in her purse.

“Everything
all right?”

“Yeah.
Just my sister being super nosey.
I,
uh
, met some of the guys earlier. I
can’t believe you all share a house and work together.”

“We’re
a team so we’re already close. We do almost everything together. This makes
perfect sense. Some of the guys are saving to buy their own spots when the time
is right. I guess once we’re all settled the last one here will probably buy
this from Dire.”

“That’s
nice that he gave up his spot for Mia.”

“You
know Mia?” She froze at his reaction to her knowing Mia, and questioning her. A
wall slid down but not before he caught a glimpse, as she tucked her hair
behind her ears.

“Yeah.
I ran into her when I moved into town and we sort of hit it off.

“Interesting.”

“Not
really, I mean. Think about all the places you can run into someone. I’m a
teacher, I’m at all kinds of educational events, the library,
then
there’s the grocery store, the popular bar, various
restaurants.”

“Which
place did you meet her at then?”

“I
think the store. But this is boring, let’s talk about something else.” Ailyn
flashed an annoyed look his way, bit her lip and dropped her gaze from his.

Knowing
she lied to his face was out of character for her, so he let the subject go.
Lucky for him, he knew Mia told her husband everything. He’d find the answers
he wanted by asking Dire later on. “What would you like to do tonight? I tossed
your clothes from last night in the washer. I figured you’d want out of my shirt,
although it’s sexy on you. If you need a pair of shorts, you can grab a pair of
boxers out of my drawer.”

Her
face turned all kinds of shade red as a nervous smile turned her soft lips up.
“I’m not sure I want to go out…out. Maybe we could go find a movie or something
and order in.”

“How
about pizza and beer.
We have a wide selection of movies
in the media room. If you don’t want those we can streamline a new release
through the cable box.”

“Canadian
bacon—”

“And
pineapple on thin crust,” he interrupted, remembering her favorite specialty
pizza. Her eyes widened and she laughed. He found the musical sound as pleasing
as her moans of pleasure when she writhed under him, begging for more. Seth
cleared his throat and reached for the handheld on the nightstand, then tapped
speed dial number four. He ordered a large Canadian bacon and pineapple pizza, and
one fully loaded pepperoni. Out of the corner of his eye, he spied Ailyn slipping
from the bed and moving over to his drawer to pick out a pair of loose boxers.
He rather liked the imagery of her with nothing but a T-shirt on.

“How
am I supposed to play with you with those on?” He hung the phone on the hook
and stalked over to her, enjoying the byplay of emotions cross her face. He saw
the woman he knew at one time better than she did herself peek out from the
mask she attempted to erect.

“You’re
not. I mean surely you didn’t want me to parade around a house full of males in
nothing but your shirt.”

Seth
wrapped his arms around her and lifted her around his waist. “My name stretched
across your back is sexy on you,” he whispered in her ear, nipped her lobe with
his teeth and let go. Her heated core leeched against his abdomen.

Ailyn
rolled her eyes and opened her mouth to speak. But he swept in and sucked her
bottom lip into his mouth then released it to slip his tongue inside. He
cradled the back of her head in his palm, commanding obedience as he stroked his
tongue over hers. She let out a soft moan and leaned into his kiss, trading
control. When he had her breathless, she drew away, a frown puckering her
eyebrows.

“You
can’t just kiss me when you don’t want to hear what I have to say.”

“Why
not?”
He carried her through the doorway, and down the
hall.
His eyes never leaving hers as he navigated.

“Because,
firstly, it’s rude and secondly, who said I wanted to be kissed so much. Then
there’s we haven’t talked yet and…and…”

“Darlin’
maybe I keep kissing you because unlike you, I don’t feel the need to dredge
shit up. Let’s get to know one another in the here and now. All thinking of the
past does is make you run from me.”

“I
do not run. I choose not to be somewhere I’m not comfortable. There’s a difference.”

“Look
at it this way.” They crossed the living
room,
he
received questioning glances from the occupants. “Guys and Sinclaire, this is
Ailyn. We’re going to go have date night in the media room and no, that’s not
an invitation to join us. Holler down when the pizza arrives.”

“Hi,”
she replied as he stepped through the room and led them down the stairs.

“Now,
what was I saying? Oh yeah, tomorrow when you leave you’ll have all the time in
the world to overthink this weekend.”

“I
don’t overthink everything.”
